Chapter in progress. Not sure this is the way I want it, but I posted it since the previous one ended so abruptly.

After I cross the Algonquin Bridge I finally break the silence.

"Roman, care to explain what on earth is going on?"

"A week ago, some goons tried to jump me in front of our pad as I was coming home. He... There were no eyewitnesses, it was 2 AM. Police questioned me, told them nothing. Look, I understand now, you couldn't watch over me 24/7, it was wrong of me to make you shoulder it all alone. I was irresponsible."

"You're a wanted man now? Are you in hiding?"

"No, your cousin got lucky. They were investigating, didn't get to report their findings to the higher-ups. I have a man inside so I know, he made them believe they clashed with a rival faction there and your cousin has nothing to do with it. I kept watch for days expecting something like this. I offered Roman a choice."

so about this character, as you probably guessed he was there in Perestroika, he managed to convince Niko he had evidence because he described things he's seen. He plays a bigger role now, but I wouldn't want more chapters from his point of view and I don't see him talking about himself. So will he remain a nameless OC with no back-story, or will someone else tell that story? Or will it be a parallel story or sequel? This story shouldn't be about him, that much is clear.

Does he really want to bring it down? No, he'd like to reform it, turning things to his backer's advantage who in turn would offer him an important position.

Update: I'm kinda stuck, if I take shortcuts like this it will be over before I reach 10k words. Before I take it any further I really need to work on the previous chapters, particularly chapter 3, maybe add some back-story to chapter 1. Just wanted to say, if I don't get the inspiration and this story seems abandoned, trust me, it's not. It's important to me to complete it, and do it properly.
