A/N So I have changed this chapter a lot more than expected. I'd suggest reading it -.- If you don't want to read the whole chapter over at least read the last paragraph and end author's note so you understand what's going on :D 3 Enjoy the read :D

Beca walked in, shutting the door behind her and leaning against it. Everyone stared at her, tears running down their faces as she stayed quiet.

Chloe walked to her, gently grabbing her hand. The tiny brunette shook her head, looking up at her best friend. "What do we do?" Beca asked quietly.

Beca looked at her for a moment before looking to everyone else. "Pack everything that's needed. We are leaving". She ran upstairs into her room.

"I didn't think she would be able to do that." Emily said with tears running down her face. She wasn't the only one. Chloe, Aubrey, Stacie, Benji, and Beca of course.

Fat Amy wanted to be the one to stay strong for this upsetting moment. Jesse wasn't crying. He did care, but for some reason he just didn't feel anything. "I'm going to check on her." He said being the boyfriend he should be.

Chloe didn't really want to say anything if she didn't have too. She wanted to comfort Beca, but she had already said what Jesse had already made the decision to check on her. As much as she didn't like it, he was the one Beca chose, not her.

The redhead decided to make her way upstairs and into her room. She began to pack her things, including a taser. It probably wouldn't do much but you never know.

"Hey, where's Chloe?" Benji asked confused. Everyone looked around the room. They all wondered why it was so quiet, even though they were all talking.

Aubrey's eyes widened in fear. She could only think the worst. It was her best friend. Obviously she could think the worst with this whole catastrophe. She was about to run to the window to see if the redhead went outside into a big mob of those people… monster... things. Except the sound of a thud made her look over to the stairs. "Chloe." She said with relief.

Chloe looked up at everyone in the room. "You are supposed to be gathering stuff up. Go get some bags. No plastic ones." That was all the redhead said before leaving the room.

Chloe walked back up to her room and shut the door behind her. She looked around her room and decided to go lay down on her bed.

The redhead felt her eyes getting heavy. She tried to stay awake, but this only made it harder. Eventually, she was asleep.

"I don't think this is a good idea." Beca said. Everyone looked at Chloe. "Why you all looking at me? I don't know what to do." She stated.

"Well you are the smartest one." Aubrey said.

Chloe scoffed. "You are, but you are stupid if you don't remember that. Plus, this wasn't my idea. Did you see what that was out there. I mean, do you really want to go into that giant mob of people or whatever. If you want to, go ahead. But Beca is right we can't do that. Let's just wait it out for a day or two and if they aren't gone then we will figure it out."

Chloe left the room to get some water.

After a few seconds Beca walked in. "Hey." Beca smiled. Chloe noticed a change in her voice. "Hi." Chloe said back.

Beca sat down nervously. She didn't say anything, and she didn't look at Chloe. Maybe a few times but not much. This started to make Chloe nervous. "Beca... What's wrong?" Beca still wouldn't look at her. "Beca, seriously. You are scaring me." Chloe took a drink of water. Her throat began to dry again. Beca mumbled something, but Chloe couldn't hear her.

"What?" Chloe said confused. Beca looked up. She stared for a minute before looking back down.

While Chloe was drinking water again she heard Beca say, "I love you." Once she realized what she said Chloe turned around quickly, nearly spitting her water out.

The redhead quickly swallowed the water and looked at Beca. "What?" She nervously laughed. Beca was left with confusion. "Sorry, I shouldn't have told you." She said as she started to stand up. Chloe stopped her.

"I didn't know you felt the same way." Chloe said. Beca didn't turn around, she stood in place. Chloe wasn't smiling, she didn't even know why.

Beca turned around. Chloe noticed blood flowing from Beca's arms and stomach. Chloe ran to Beca before she could hit the floor.

"No. No, no no no no no." She kept saying. "Chloe, Chloe, Come on. Chloe."

"Chloe, Chlo, wake up. We need to go, come on wake up." Chloe felt someone shaking her, causing her to jump up against the wall.

"Whoah Red. Calm down. You're okay." Beca said trying to calm her down. Chloe couldn't look Beca. She just couldn't.

She noticed everyone in the room. She had sweat dripping from her face. Chloe stood up and ran downstairs and grabbed her bag. She didn't care if anyone tried to stop her from going out. She opened the door and looked out. There was still a big horde in the middle of the street. She turned around and saw everyone running to her trying to stop her.

Before Chloe could walk out, she realized she didn't have anything to defend herself with, so she ran into the kitchen grabbed a knife. Two knives. She tried to go back to the front door, but everyone was blocking her. She looked behind her and saw the door behind her.

"Chloe, hey." Beca stopped the redhead. "Hey, whatever is going on it'll be okay." She said softly. When Chloe didn't move, Beca took a careful step towards her. "You can talk to us." The tiny brunette tried.

Chloe looked at her before shaking her head. "I just… I can't." She breathed before running out the door, hearing everyone running after her.

"Chlo, what are you doing?!" Aubrey exclaimed, out of breath. "You can't go out there. You need to stay with us. We will leave in a bit." Jesse said calmly as Aubrey grabbed Chloe's wrist, pulling her back. Chloe looked at her. "I can't be here." She said before pushing Aubrey away from her, and running out to the street.

There was probably five of those things in the street. Chloe stopped and took a breath. She closed her eyes, taking a moment. After doing so, she stepped out and took an infected's arm just to pull him next to her. Without hesitation, she took the knife she had and stabbed him in the head like Beca had down to Jessica not long ago.

She finally got the attention of the other four. Knowing she wouldn't have a chance with all them in one spot, she slowly backed down the street, not back to the house but the complete opposite. They all started running after her. At that, she turned around and led them away.

"Oh my god. Oh my god." Aubrey said over and over, she turned away from everyone else just to throw up. Beca on the other hand, fell to the ground. "What… Why… No. She can't…" She started hyperventilating.

After a few minutes, Beca started to calm down and stood up. She started to run back into the house grabbing her stuff. After doing so she walked out the front door and ran where she saw Chloe run too. No one hesitated to quickly do the same.

Beca sighed, coming to a stop. The smell of what she could only describe as rotten, made her look around. That's when she saw exactly four people on the ground completely dead. She looked around but didn't see the redhead.

"Chloe? Chlo? Dammit. Chloe!" She softly called out trying not to draw much attention. After a few more calls, Chloe came into sight.

Chloe weakly walked up to her and dropped a bag to the side. She still couldn't look at Beca. Especially not after what she just did. The tiny brunette looked at Chloe, watching her stand there emotionless. "Chloe." Beca said softly. Beca couldn't help but pull Chloe to her and hugged her tightly. "Don't do that again."

Chloe wanted to hug back but for some reason she just couldn't. For some reason she just felt guilt. She's not sure if the dream scared her, or the fact that she just killed four half-dead people. Maybe both. She felt angry and confused too. She was… she was lost.

"Chloe! Oh my God! Don't do that again." Aubrey said running at the redhead at full speed. "Don't do that again. We couldn't handle losing you." The petite blonde hugged her tightly. Chloe didn't say anything but she did look at her.

Aubrey wouldn't let go of her. After a few more seconds, Chloe pushed Aubrey away, and turned to walk to the house.

Everyone turned and watched her with concern, she didn't bother to look back. She was about halfway to the house, when she dropped the knife.

"Did we do something?" Fat Amy asked. Emily looked at Beca. She could see the hurt in her eyes. "No. We didn't. She just needs some time." She said as she walked up to Beca and put a hand on her shoulder. Beca looked up with a weak smile.

"She's right. Just give her time. We uh, we need to keep moving. Let's get inside. We will stay here for a day, we will leave tomorrow morning. I don't know what this is, but it's bad." Beca explained as she lead them all back to the house. All staying close to one another and fairly alert.

Morning:

"Chloe. It's time to go." Stacie said standing by the doorway. Chloe grabbed her bag and walked downstairs. Stacie followed. Everyone was already downstairs waiting by the door.

Chloe stopped in front of everyone, and looked at each one of them. She looked Beca's way but avoided catching her gaze. After about two minutes, she opened the door and walked out.

Beca sighed, leading everyone out of the house.

"Did she say anything yet?" Benji asked. "No, I don't know why she won't speak. I'm getting worried." Stacie explained. "Whatever is going on, maybe she just needs a few days." Jesse said with furrowed brows. The tassie walking behind him shook her head. "She's never been this quiet." Amy mumbled.

Jesse looked over to the redhead who walked a small distance ahead of the group. He never was really found of her, but something about her staying this quiet was very unsettling.

Chloe stopped in her tracks. Beca ran into her. "Everything okay?" She asked. Silence. Due to this, Beca stepped in front of her and took a look herself. "What the hell?" She said. Everyone joined her for the view. "Oh my god." Benji breathed.

Chloe looked at the big giant crowd of the deadly people. Then she started walking. "Chloe, what are you doing?" Beca asked fearfully.

Chloe, once again didn't say anything, she just kept walking. This time she didn't have a knife in her hand. She was still walking. She was close enough to see what was going on. Some were tearing people apart, while others tried to catch a person running away from the person being torn apart. Chloe moved closer. She saw a long stick. She picked it up and ran up to a building. Not wanting to draw attention, she did her best to quietly open the door.

"There she goes again." Stacie sighed.

Once Chloe made it inside, she banged on the door loudly to drag the attention as far away from the direction of her friends.

Just as the infected reached the building, everyone heard a loud screech. Everyone couldn't help but fall to the windows to the store shattering as Chloe squeezed her eyes shut. Shakily she let out a breath, pushing herself to her feet and stumbling towards the back of the store.

In doing so she noticed guns sitting in glass a glass case. Her brows furrowed as she leaned against the glass. She thought for a moment before just shaking her head and deciding to throw hard punches at the glass.

The glass broke, the redhead's fist busting open and blood running down her hand. She didn't care though. Taking a deep breath, she threw one last punch and broke the glass. "Fuck." She mumbled before looking around just to notice a duffle bag sitting on a rack. Not a second of hesitation hit as she grabbed it just to turn and grab multiple rifles and pistols.

Chloe looked around, looking for ammo. After a moment she jumped over the counter, dropping down to all fours before sitting up and looking at all the boxes of ammo in front of her. Not even thinking, she just began grabbing boxes and throwing them into the bag. Once it was full she jumped to her feet only to find the infected right at the counter causing her heart to stop.

Fuck.

Was the only thought that came to her mind. Looking around she found a door leading to God knows where. Her jaw clenched as she decided to just go through it.

In doing so, Chloe found herself in a small hallway and another door a few feet in front of her. Her brows furrowed as she looked around, finding more guns and ammo along with hunting gear. She looked at everything for a moment before grabbing some rope and bedrolls of sleeping bags. She thought for a moment before shrugging and grabbing a few of the small flashlights, first aid kits, duct tapes, and water jugs. Suddenly the sound of loud banging made her jump. She looked to the door and shook her head, quickly zipping the large duffle bag up and pushing out the second door. This time finding herself out of the store and behind the building.

She didn't stop running. She ran… and ran… and ran. She didn't stop.

Not until she fell right in front of Beca and Jesse. Beca looked at her with surprise along with everyone else. Chloe got back up on her knees and opened the bag. No one would move so, Chloe took a gun and handed one to each. She also brought the bullets out laying each box out.

Just then, the ear-piercing screech hit everyone's ear. It was closer. Chloe whimpered, pressing her hands against her ears as everyone else did the same.

A minute later it stopped. Chloe knew they had to go. Except Beca still wasn't sure what was going on. All they knew was, they needed to leave. Now.

Thee sound of shuffling made everyone look to where Chloe came from. "Zombies." Benji said. Everyone looked at him. The fear inside of everyone grew much more. All because of one word. Zombies.

"Run." Jesse said. Everyone got up to run. Aubrey, having fallen unconscious due to having thought of losing her best friend, was picked up into Jesse's arms. Beca though, she was still on the ground in shock of finding that Chloe was safe, sorta.

Chloe was running but stopped in her tracks realizing that a tiny brunette wasn't in front of her. Sure enough, no one was behind her either. Chloe looked around and saw Beca in the same spot she has been in. Running over, she grabbed back, pulling her to her feet.

Beca didn't seem to move. She didn't understand what was happening. Chloe didn't want to do this but, she knew that it was really now or never. Chloe looked at Beca with sorrow.

Chloe slapped Beca across the face. This snapped Beca back to reality. "What?" She asked. Chloe didn't have to say anything due to a moan next to them. "Shit." Beca breathed. Chloe grabbed Beca's arm and led her to where everyone else in the group went.

"Stop! Stop! Everyone stop." Amy called out breathlessly.

Aubrey was finally awake. Everyone out of breath from running for so long. Chloe still not saying anything.

Beca looked at Chloe, who was leaning against a tree. She walked up to the redhead. "How did you get out of there?" The redhead was silent. "You won't even talk to me." Beca said in sadness. Chloe looked down at the bag. Beca followed her eyes.

The tiny brunette leaned down, opening the bag. "Holy shit." She laughed, looking back up at Chloe. "Chlo, you got these?" Chloe nodded. "Nice job Red." Beca said with a smile.

Chloe walked away to the side. Far out away from everyone, but close enough for the group to see her.

She looked around the trees. It was peaceful. No sight of any infected. They were safe. She sighed, leaning against a tree just in time to feel something dripping from her face. She put her hand up to her mouth then brought it back down so she could see what it was. Blood. Her nose was bleeding. With a confused expression on her face, she figured maybe it was just a typical nose bleed. Nothing to worry about.

She sat down and pinched the soft part of her nose. It stopped bleeding quite quickly. She was surprised but relieved that it stopped. She let out a small hum and stood up.

"Chlo, can you come help me?" Emily asked while she was trying to pick something up. Chloe walked over, until she started getting dizzy. She tried walking straight. Everyone noticed. They all looked at her with a lot of confusion. The confusion she had moments ago began to come back.

She finally caught herself in one spot. She knew everyone was staring at her. Once again she felt something hit her hand. More blood. She turned around to the direction she came from to hide what was going on. She started to feel her face burning. She started coughing. She had to do something. She didn't know what though. So, she just ran back to the spot she was.

Chloe made it to her spot and looked back to make sure no one was following. But there were. Aubrey and Beca. She shook her head, holding a hand up. Her two best friends coming to a stop.

"Chlo, what's wrong? Everything okay?" Aubrey asked with worry.. Chloe nodded but began making her way from the group.

"Where's she going?" Beca questioned, looking to Aubrey, earning a shrug. "Let's just stay here for a little bit, she'll come back."

"I'm worried about her. She's never acted like this before." Aubrey complained. Beca looked at her then laughed lightly. Aubrey glared at her. "Well we are in some kind of apocalypse, do you seriously expect her to-" Aubrey stopped her. "She's tough Beca, something's bothering her." Beca went quiet. Aubrey could only give a nod. "I don't know what's going on but we need to watch her." Beca looked to the direction Chloe went in. "Yeah."

Aubrey sighed, sitting down and leaning back against a tree stump. "Did she ever tell you what she did to get me to audition?" Beca asked, looking down at the blonde. Aubrey shook her head. Beca softly laughed.

"Well I was uh, I was showering and singing Titanium." "By David Guetta?" Aubrey asked. Beca nodded. "I was in my own head when out of nowhere a crazy redhead just barged in." "Why am I not surprised by this?" The blonde questioned, earning a laugh from Beca.

Beca sighed, sitting down next to Aubrey and leaning over, propping her head on her hand as her elbow rested on the stump. Aubrey patiently waited for Beca to continue. She wasn't the biggest fan of Beca, but she also knew she never really gave the tiny brunette a chance. Maybe it was time for that chance.

Chloe's eyes shut tight as she felt her stomach turning. She hunched over, holding her stomach. Before realizing it, she was vomiting.

Chloe blinked her eyes, breathing heavily as she sat against a log.

"Chlo! Chloe?!" She heard Beca and looked to her right, finding Beca and Aubrey walking her direction. She waved, grabbing their attention. "Chloe, hey, there you are. You've been gone for awhile." Aubrey said with worry.

The redhead nodded as Beca helped her to her feet. After doing so, Beca noticed the tiredness in Chloe's eyes. "Alright, we've got you. Just bear with us." She assured. Chloe hummed as Aubrey stepped up and helped Beca carry her.

"Alright, let's go." Aubrey breathed.

"Alright, let's go, we're leaving." Beca said with furrowed brows as Chloe balanced herself to stand up straight. "Is she okay?" Benji asked with worry. "That's why we're leaving. Hurry up. Let's go." Beca demanded. Chloe leaned against Beca who grabbed her hand. "I'm here." Chloe weakly smiled.

"Here's your bag." Jesse said with furrowed brows, handing Chloe her bag. Chloe grabbed it, giving a soft nod.

"Okay. Let's get the show on the road." Aubrey said.

It was a long walk, a somewhat peaceful walk. The only thing that kept it from being a nice walk altogether was the fact that everyone was on high alert and staying close to one another. No one wanted to lose anyone else.

Beca though, she kept her eyes on Chloe. She wasn't sure what was going on with her favorite redhead, but she was going to figure it out.

"Hey, you okay?" Jesse asked as he took Beca's hand into his. Beca nodded. "Yeah. Just confused." "About?" Jesse waited for an answer. Beca jerked her head towards Chloe. The Treble felt bad. "She's okay. She'll be alright." Beca shook her head. "We need to find a place to rest soon." She sighed. "We will." Jesse assured.

Beca saw something out the corner of her eyes. "Wait." Everyone stopped. "What?" Fat Amy asked. "I saw something." Beca replied back. "It might've been a- What are we calling these things?" Emily asked.

"We are not copying the Walking Dead. Something simple. Let's go with Rotters." Stacie said. "No, it wasn't a Rotter." Beca said. Beca started to walk towards the house. Until Chloe stopped her. "What?" Beca asked. Still no answer. Chloe walked to where Beca was going, she put her hand up to signal the tiny brunette to stay there.

They all watched the redhead check what it was Beca saw. "Why the hell does she keep doing this? It's like she's trying to avoid something." Beca said with sadness and anger. "Beca, calm down." Benji said quietly. Beca took a deep breath. "Calm." She said to herself.

They saw Chloe stop. "What's wrong?" Beca asked, even though she knew Chloe wouldn't be able to hear her.

Chloe walked up to where Beca was going to walk to. She turned the corner to look in the backyard of a house. What she saw shocked her. She walked closer.

"What happened? Where is she?" Aubrey started to freak out. Beca was about to walk, run, to Chloe, but Fat Amy stopped her. "She said stay here. She will be fine. She did get those guns." "She's right. She was in a full on horde, and she got a gun. She'll be fine." Emily said backing Amy up. Beca nodded.

Chloe walked closer, her brows furrowed. Her expression showing pure disgust. Carefully she leaned forward and looked at the dead that was trying to reach for her. She could only shake her head and back away. "Gross." She mumbled before making her way back to everyone's view and waving them over.

As the Bellas, Benji, Bumper, and Jesse made their way over, Chloe watched as the infected desperately reached for her.

"Oh what the fuck?!" Bumper jumped back. Beca's brows furrowed as she looked at the crawler in front of her. "That's one ugly motherfucker." Chloe looked at her before Flo stepped up and looked at it. "What do we do with it?" She asked with wonder.

Chloe looked at everyone before shrugging and looking to Beca who held a knife tightly in her hands. Beca noticed this and looked at the knife herself. Chloe took a breath and grabbed the knife from her. "Chloe you don't-." Beca was cut off when Chloe just stepped up and drove the knife right into the infected's head.

Beca's jaw clenched as Chloe backed up, staring at the Rotter before making her way to the back door. Something about Chloe had changed, and she wasn't sure if she liked it or not.

"Since when the hell did you know how to lockpick?" Aubrey questioned. Chloe smirked as she walked into the kitchen, carefully aiming the Glock 19 she had grabbed at the gun store she had stumbled into.

Beca looked between the two best friends before shaking her head. "So uh… boys check the upstairs. Girls, we stay and check the base floor." She decided. Everyone nodded. "If you see anything you aren't sure of, call out. Make sure not to be to loud though." Beca warned.

Jesse placed a small kiss at Beca's cheek. "Be careful." He said softly. "You too." Beca weakly smiled before the boys made their way to the stairs.

A/N Alright, so I actually changed this chapter a LOT more than I had expected 0.0 I know I took Cadence and Everest out of the story here but I do plan on bringing them in at some point. I want to introduce them a different way. Along with that I wanted to find a way to get into the third chapter a different way and the only way to do that was to change the ending of this chapter . Please don't hate me though guys, I do plan on keeping quite a few things the same, it's just going to happen a different way. Example… Cadence and Everest.

What's Changed:

Store scene where Chloe was supposedly trapped

The scene where Chloe tries to hide whatever is going on when she gets her first bloody nose

The ending of this chapter we do not meet Cadence and Everest along with fighting a horde

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter better than it was, if not I'm sorry. Have a good day everyone 3 As I've said before, please stay safe out there 3 Chapter 3 Rework soon :D 3
