Although I've had some rough years in school and outside of it, I have gotten some kind of benefits from various things. One, in particular, is my Asperger's. Thanks to it I could split my last year of high school into 2 years and have less classes so I could sort out my stuff. Being able to have 3 classes a day is pretty slick, especially when you have to meet in at noon, meaning I can sleep for a long time and actually be awake when I have classes. I got a lot of free time on my hands, meaning I can focus more on school, but also on other things such as reading manga. When I feel like it, I can finish reading a manga in a few days, depending on the number of chapters and pages per chapter. I especially look forward to Fridays because that's when the translations of most manga I read come out, one in particular is Boku no Hero Academia. I want to get a little glimpse of Mirko in action or just a single panel of her. I also watched the anime and I noticed in the ED of the last episode of season 4 a high school picture of Mirko playing basket. I found it pretty cool, and when I thought about it, she can jump pretty high, thanks to her quirk so of course she'd be a part of the basketball team.
I was at the gym, just finished my workout and completely sweaty, but not exhausted. I sat down at a table with my things on my side, texting my mom to pick me up. After I did that, I opened up the website of the manga, my phone just suddenly shut down.
"What the heck" I said. It's a new phone, so it seems pretty odd that it would do that, and it's not an iPhone so it's even more strange. I tried to turn it on again and it worked, but it didn't show me the usual start up screen. It had a loading bar and that weird loading icon.
"What's going on now?" I asked, confused about the situation, scratching the back of my head. I looked up, looked around as I was waiting for it to finish loading, assuming it's just updating or something. There wasn't anyone around, not that it's unusual or anything, but it just feels too quiet. I looked at my phone again, it was at 95%, 96%, 97%, 98%, 99% and 100%, but it didn't finish. Some text popped up on the screen, saying "Want to get out and change everything?". At this point, I am even more confused as my finger hovered over the 2 boxes "Yes" and "No".
"Well, it can't be that bad if it changes everything, I suppose" I shrugged, talking about my phone but as I pressed "Yes" and closed my eyes and then I opened them up again, it was completely dark with a shining light at the end of the pitch dark tunnel. I began to hear people far away, slowly getting closer as the light was getting closer and closer as well. The light got so close it was blinding me, I closed my eyes and put my arm up to my eyes, the voices just right next to me. I moved my arm away, slowly opened my eyes. I was lying on the ground with a few people around me saying some things that I can't really understand, but one sentence "he's awake". I then heard cheering as I was slowly getting up and people helping me up.
"You okay, lad?" a stranger asked me, and I looked around and then looked at all the people around me, then back at the stranger and said "Yeah… but uhm.. where am I? What is this place?". He looked confused at me as he was the one who had found me in a park. He put a hand on my shoulder and said "Dude, you were unconscious and laying on the grass in the park of Musutafu, Japan". I stood there for a second and then got totally confused "But, just a second ago I was in the gym. How did I get to Japan out of all places?". I managed to finish the sentence as an ambulance came with the police right behind them. Everyone that was around me moved to the side, giving space to the ambulance and police. I didn't know what was going on as the ambulance people checked me to see if I was okay and asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital, but since nothing severe was wrong with me, I politely decline even though they insisted since I was completely soaked in sweat and I was acting as if I have amnesia. As I finished talking to the doctor, the police questioned me. First they asked me if I knew who I was and how I got here. I answered them, but the next question confused me.
"Sir, do you have a quirk, and if you do, what type?", I looked at the officer in front of me and at the officer behind him. I didn't exactly know how to answer that question, even though I knew the answer very well. Instead of saying no, I asked "Quirk? What do you mean?". The officers looked at each other and I continued "As I just said, just a few minutes ago I was at the gym, but now I am like, on the other side of the globe. I can't move my body that fast and I would have known if I was abducted". The second officer said "he's not lying. My quirk even works with people with amnesia…". Both officers looked a bit concerned and asked me if I wanted to come to the station with them. As some wouldn't do, I agreed with them and was escorted in the police car to the station, overhearing one of the officers saying in the radio "We have someone who seems quite suspicious, we need a pro when we arrive at the station. He doesn't seem dangerous, but we need someone who can help us."
As we got to the station and I was put in one of those interrogation rooms you see on TV, I was sitting at the only table in the middle of the room, wondering what just happened. I remember that I pressed "Yes" on my phone and everything just went black. I pulled out my phone from my jeans, but it didn't work at all.
"Great" I tossed it on the table, just as it slid into the middle of the table, an officer came into the room with a hero right behind them.
"What's going on?" I asked a bit worried, seeing how the hero looked at me. "We're going to interrogate you, PUNK!" the hero almost yelled and sat down on the chair right in front of me, on the opposite side of the table. "Look me in the eyes and don't do anything stupid" the hero scuffed and as worried I was, I did as I was told and looked the hero in the eyes. I sat there for at least 5 minutes, looking into the hero's eyes, feeling a creeping awkwardness coming. Out of nowhere the hero got all calm and nice, "Oh now I see… You're not from this world". I smiled "Of course I am not. That's what I've been telling you from the beginning…" but then I got quiet and thought about what was just said.
"Not from this world?" I asked, "not from this world" the hero replied.
"But.. what do you mean not from this world?!" I said a bit loud, too loud in my opinion as I put a hand on my mouth. The hero calmly replied "You got here, to this world which is a different dimension compared to your world thanks to someone's quirk. That's my guess". I looked down completely confused about this situation "then… what should I do now?" I looked at the hero, but before the hero could reply the officer that was standing behind the hero stepped up and said "We'll be helping you figure out some things and where you will stay. We will just need some more information about you which we can sort out later". The officer then opened the only door in the room and the hero got up and walked out of the room.
"Now, if you will come with me, we can figure everything out, okay?" the officer said as he stood there with the door open, I slowly got up and replied "Sure…"
