"You okay?" Chloe heard and looked up as water dripped from her face. Aubrey grabbed the towel that was sitting on a rack and held it to her best friend. "Hot." Chloe mumbled. "It's sixty degrees out." Aubrey pointed to the window. Chloe shrugged as she patted her face. She was burning. A thin layer of sweat covered her body. Due to this she attempted to try and cool herself off by splashing some water.

Aubrey stepped up, bringing a hand to Chloe's face. Chloe quickly stepped back just as the blonde's hand pressed against her face.

"Jesus Christ Chlo." Aubrey breathed with concern. Chloe shook her head. "You're burning up." "I'm fine." The redhead said quietly.

"I'd say go lay down in your room but I don't want to risk getting Beca sick." Aubrey sighed. "I said I'm fine Bree." The venom in Chloe's voice made the older woman look at her with wide eyes.

Chloe walked around Aubrey and out of the bathroom. She cleared her throat, doing her best to keep from letting out the cough that threatened to escape her lips.

"Chloe, you mind helping me with the food?" She heard Benji. Chloe looked at him, walking towards the bedroom where Beca was currently resting. "Okay…" She heard Benji awkwardly trail off.

Walking into the bedroom, Chloe saw Beca weakly sat up on the bed and reading a book that someone must've grabbed for her from the bookshelf across the room.

"Becs." Beca looked up, smiling at the sight of her. Chloe walked over to the bed, sitting down and looking at her best friend. Beca's smile slowly faded as she noticed the drain of color in Chloe's face. "You okay?" Chloe weakly smiled, grabbing Beca's hand. She couldn't help but shake her head.

Beca's jaw clenched as she placed her book to the side. "Shouldn't you be resting?" Beca shrugged of Chloe's question. "What's going on Chlo?" Chloe frowned. "I uh, I have to go back out." Beca's brows furrowed. "We all just went out like ten hours ago, maybe a bit more." She said with confusion.

Chloe shrugged. "We used a lot of our medical supplies on you, I'm going to find some more stuff. I'll be alright Becs." "Why are you lying to me?" Beca pushed.

Chloe felt her heart break. She should've known it wasn't going to be easy. It was Beca, what else was she expecting?

"You can't help me." The redhead said softly.

Beca looked to the left and out the window next to the bed. "Chloe were you…" Beca cleared her throat. "What happened?" She asked.

Chloe brought a hand up, wiping the bead of sweat that was starting to fall down the side of her face. Beca shook her head. Chloe could easily tell what was going through Beca's mind. She didn't want to leave Beca, but she couldn't stay. "You don't deserve this." The tiny brunette breathed.

"It's cheesy, but at leat we had a chance to know each other." Chloe smiled. Beca nodded in agreement. She gave a gentle smile and moved, leaned her head against Chloe's. The redhead looked at her just to look right back. Chloe smiled, moving just to place a small kiss against Beca's cheek. "I love you Chlo." Beca said quietly. "I love you too. I should go." The redhead pointed.

Beca frowned but weakly wrapped her arms around Chloe. Chloe hugged back, holding her tightly. Beca sniffled, moving back. Before Chloe could even react, Beca just pulled her into a soft kiss. Chloe sat frozen, surprised at the action. Beca pulled away and looked at her. "Sorry." Chloe shook her head. "No, it's okay. Just… surprised." She mumbled. Beca hummed. "Good or bad?" Chloe softly laughed with a smile. "Good." Beca smiled. "Cool."

Chloe stared at Beca for a moment before moving and laying down, Beca followed her actions. "We should both rest." The redhead said with furrowed brows. "Yeah."

Chlod squeezed her eyes shut as she pushed off the bed, making her way to the door. Once she grabbed the doorhandle, she looked over her shoulder, looking to Beca one last time.

Beca groaned, bringing her her hand to her chest as a small bit of pain struck. Despite the fact that her breathing had gotten better over the past few hours, her chest still hurt. Looking over, she found no redhead. Feeling tears welling up, she grabbed the pillow next to her and brought it to her chest just to hold onto it tightly.

"Everyone!" Aubrey called out to everyone who had been outside together, eating at a table they had set up in the middle of the street to sometimes eat together. They all looked at the blonde only to instantly find the sad expression on her face.

"Bree? What's going on?" Stacie automatically asked. Aubrey looked down at her feet, taking a breath. She had gone to check on Beca only to find the tiny brunette with tears falling down her face as she held a pillow to her chest. That's when she had been told the news. That's when everything made sense.

"Chloe's gone." The former captain informed. "What?" Jesse questioned with confusion. Aubrey nodded. Adam placed his fork down on his place and stood up. "On a run?" "No, she uh… an infected got her during the run she last went on with Stacie and Beca." Aubrey explained.

Stacie instantly stood up, shaking her head. Everyone looked to the tall brunette. They all knew everything that had happened, so to hear this news must've instantly gotten to Stacie. "There's no way. I was next to her the whole time." Stacie stated.

"Stace, it's not your fault." Aubrey assured. "It's not fair!" The tall brunette exclaimed. "None of this is." Amy mumbled.

"I've lost my appetite." Flo said shakily. Benji pushed his food away, seeming to feel the same way. Adam brought his hands to his face. Bumper who was next to him could see that he was trying to hide that he was barely keeping his emotions in check.

"I mean, the way she had a death wish, she kinda had it coming." Jesse sighed. Stacie scoffed at this and turned only to slap him. Jesse stood with shock. No one said anything. He definitely deserved that. The Treble shook the shock away and took a bite of his food. "If Beca heard that you'd be on the ground." Aubrey seethed, turning and walking towards the house that the girls were pretty much staying in.

Stacie let out a shaky breath, quickly following Aubrey's footsteps.

A grunt falling from her lips, stumbling to the ground, Chloe turned onto her back with pain striking through her body. Her body was on fire while she was practically drenched in her own sweat. She could barely catch her breath as her heart raced.

Trying to find some sort of relief from the pain, she moved in any way possible. Nothing. It felt like she was in hell and something was just tearing her apart from the inside. Her mouth was dry, her head felt like it was going to explode, despite the fact that every body part was burning she felt herself going numb.

Before she knew it everything began to spin. Then blurriness. Finally with sudden dizziness it came with a hard hit of darkness.
