Storm Chaser
Chapter 48
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas where applicable and Happy New Year to come for everyone! Still, real life keeps posting cycles irregular, but we muster on.
Last time, Ron scrambled to avoid bringing the degrees of separation between himself and Kim, to less than zero, when a mission came up to give him a Solid on that notion, but a mission that will have more far reaching aspects than ever realized when it's over.
Kim's fallen into a rhythm of life with Monique, Suzi and Wanda that has settled her soul as she is starting up the ladder with GJ, while keeping her eyes open for Ron. While Ron is doing his absolute best to 'let her live her own life…without the loser sidekick'…
So, before we crank this one, Larry and I would like to thank those who've chimed in so far: haha . plogue (Darn site censor, wipes out that pen name as a web address.), Old Soldier, bennie403, Jimmy1201, Bobtrumpet, Sentinel103, Kayla Tsukino, LoneLotus95, Krayne 04 and notyourbussines. Thank you all.

Yori sat across from her longtime friend as Hirotaka sat beside him. "Your mission is twofold, Chosen One: We need you to infiltrate the operation of one of your old foes. We feel Global Justice agents may be walking into a situation that they may be ill equipped to deal with, old friend."
"Who is it against? Dementor is already toast, in more ways than one.", Ron inquired.
"Sheldon Director…"
"I thought he retired, Yori."
Hiro patted his friend on the shoulder, "He may have, but we think his organization was responsible for the theft of the nuclear devices in China and the 'accident' in Dementor's lab. So, as we do not know for sure, that is why you were mobilized."
"Why backup a GJ team on an inspection? They have pretty good resources without my help.", Dean pointed out.
Yori half-smiled, "We have direction from the Founder…"
Taken aback, "He hasn't contacted me…"
Smirking, "And you don't leave yourself open to be contacted, do you?", Hirotaka asked his friend.
Chagrined, "Ah, not really." Waving a hand in irritation," The dreams are getting annoying…"
Narrowing her eyes slightly, "And you didn't ask for help?". The dark eyed shinobi inquired.
Ron bristled, "I am a Master Ninja who is tasked to keep the world safe and I am the Chosen One and control the power. You have beaten that into my head. Considering the last five years I think I can take care of my end."
Yori reached across to take hold of Ron's hand, "You have grown my friend and you have received much honor in Japan from the ones who have knowledge of your past, your actions and your vows. And we have tried to get you to think about your former girlfriend…Also, I believe that Toshimiru is pushing to get you to face Kim Possible again, but as something more than friends."
Shaking his head, having heard variations on this so many times over the years, "Yori, you have been my friend when all others shunned me…and I thank you for it. But Kim…"
Hirotaka said solemly, "Give Kim-san a chance. She did not understand that the nightmares she was experiencing, which were causing her to lose sleep and focus were caused by your dreams and PTSD." Stunned, Ron tried to reply, but could not as Hiro continued, "And we at Yamanouchi, at first, did not understand this until we realized that you were linked to her because of the MMP…"
Finally getting his voice back, "Kim has been exposed to the 'Power'?", Ron asked. "How the hell did that happen?"
"Do you not remember?", Hiro continued, "Do you not recall the amulet she once wore which nearly changed her into a monkey?"
Facepalming, a bit harshly, the blond suddenly remembered the incident, "So, I caused all this shit?"
Yori smiled sadly, "Not all Ron-san, but a series of events caused all this. Both you and Kim-san were pawns.", she said as she and Ron cringed. "A little bit of conversation between you two would have limited the effects of this. And considering events that we now feel had to take place, especially where you would have to gain mastery of the Power, maybe this was the best thing." Then ironically, "Although, the leaking of your feelings through nightmares into Kim-san's mind was something we wish could have been avoided. Anyway, Kim-san finally asked the right questions and while she does not know what and where you are studying, she does know you are a ninja…And she has no idea of the name you are going by, either."
Rubbing his face in irritation, "Great about all that.", he shot back sarcastically, "But even if Kim is ready…I don't know if I can be.", he let his hands fall into his lap.
Blowing out a frustrated breath, his eyes distant, "It's been so long after getting cut off from her like that…without an explanation as to…why, other than my well-established…fear that she found someone better and just ended things with me without even a 'Dear Ron Letter'…Then learning to go my own way…Doing my own thing after coming back from where her…", waving another hand in irritation, "…just…nothing left me…My mindset, or my heart, about all of this just can't turn on a dime because 'Our Founder' and all of Yamanouchi are now pulling one of their 'This is our way of telling you' shticks on me…"
Huffing a snort, "Let's just say, I'm not going to jump right into this just because all of you are pushing for this to go down…", he frowned. "But, that's not to say that I'm going to reject this out of hand…I'm just gonna have to have some time to wrap my head around this, is what I'm saying.", Ron said before looking up to his friends.
Yori smiled, "At least you are not shutting out the idea, Ron-san. Sensei told us that you might be quite ready to think along this line…"
"Yeah, maybe a little. But I have my life.", he shot back. "Anyway, when I checked on her in Middleton, she seemed happy enough…"
"Do you know why she was in the hospital Ron-san?"
"I'm not sure…"
"She suffered a 'fit' during the explosion you experienced in Austria and they wanted to make sure that she would be fine since they did not know anything of how close you two are."
Hiro added, "You know, it would be much easier for both of you if you cohabitated…"
"This is gonna get weird…Nathan, you know my fellow student, is hot and heavy with Monique. And Monique, the way I understand it, is Kim's roommate in Middleton.", Ron explained.
Eyes alight in amusement, "A double wedding, perhaps?", Hirotaka inquired.
Ron snorted, "Huh, getting ahead of ourselves, aren't we?", not even sure if he wanted to go there.
Yori continued with a smile on her face, "She is your one. You are her one. The Scrolls demand you eventually take the honorable action. Your parents and Kim-san's parents have spoken several times in the last year. It would be prudent to consider ending this action and mend the chasm between you two…", she let hang before her eyes darkened in a mock glare, "I do not want Toshimiru to begin entering into my dreams. I need my beauty rest."
"They've met and are not yelling at each other?" Shaking his head, "Jeez, I can see that this will be another one of those 'This is how we tell you moments.' I thought that they grew out of that…"
Hiro cut in, "And as to the other sitch with our Founder's intrusions into the dreams others, Yori-kun's doctor has advised her to make sure she gets eight hours of rest a night due to her condition..."
Still catching up to the separate thoughts, "Yeah, I hear y…Huh? Condition? Does she have cancer or something?", Ron stuttered for a moment being a little confused by the former MHS 'hottie'.
Yori snorted while trying to look demure, "Or something…", and failing.
Hiro chuckled, "Your ex took seriously what was poked at her in jest, so, do you agree to be the 'Godfather'? It would honor us tremendously."
Dawn finally coming to the blond, "Huh? Oh shit…Congratulations guys! Sure, I'll do anything you want."
"As you can see, we won't be able to monitor all your actions in the near future.", Hiro stated, "This is why we wish you to come to terms with Kim-san sooner than later."
Ron nodded, "I see.", he nodded. "And, while I am joyous of your news, I will contemplate my future with Kim Possible…I promise you…", he tensed slightly at the end.
"Ron-san, relax. We do not demand that you elope with Kim-san right this minute and start to make little ninjas with her. Sensei believes, as we do, that in the near term, the opportunity will arise to put all this behind you and get back on the path to which we believe you are destined." Yori then reached out to the young blond and embraced him in a warm hug, "Of course, with the Sake Sisters watching Kim-san, she is relatively safe from most things. But there are some things where she needs 'Special' Yamanouchi assets watching over her."
Ron chuckled, "We know what that means." And paused to consider Kim's protection detail and their legendary status as heavy hitters in the bar-scene, "Shit! Kim might be an alcoholic by now."
Hiro laughed, "Of course…but I do not think Kim-san has to worry about being addicted to the sauce."
"Okay, I'll do my best, but I won't make a move until after I have my Degrees. If we are going to do this we might as well do it right.", the blond man chuckled.
Yori beamed, "That is the spirit my friend…"
One of the pilots opened the curtain, (We are twenty minutes out.)
(Very good, thank you.), Hirotaka replied.
Yori became more serious, "Chosen One, there is transportation waiting, a map and GPS unit in your package. Also, you have a reservation for a motel near the site. Since it is close, expect it and you to be under observation from the moment you arrive."
Ron scanned through his papers and nodded.
Hirotaka continued for his wife, "Make sure you infiltrate after finding your way to the installation and then stay undercover while the GJ team conducts their inspection."
Ron frowned, "Then what?"
Yori took over, "Allow the inspection to play out. If nothing happens you will do nothing. If an attack is conducted on the inspectors, we expect the Chosen One of the Scrolls to engage the Global Justice foes and defeat them. You are allowed to use the force necessary to accomplish your task. Do you understand?"
Ron Stoppable AKA, Dean Kaminsky rose to his feet and bowed lowly, (It will be my honor to protect those under my care Yori. Domo.)
She rose to her feet as did Hirotaka and bowed slightly less, (Sensei knows that you will do your utmost to protect those under your care, Master.)
As the business jet slowed and then stopped, the three young people rose from their seats, "Hirotaka smirked, "Welcome to Rome, New York."
Perplexed, "Why here?", Ron asked.
"This is the closest business airport to your destination. Also, we do not wish to be observed at this point. A jet coming here will attract less attention than Watertown.", Yori informed the blond.
"Okay, so when in Rome do what the Romanites do?"
Yori rolled her eyes with a grin, "Ron-san, focus. As we have stated before, your destination for this mission is Newton Falls, New York, and the installation is named 'Direction Cargo Affiliates'. It is the largest building in the hamlet. According to satellite photos you won't be able to miss it. The coordinates are in the mission folder and your hand GPS unit will ensure you are at the proper place."
"Why do you guys think there is something funny about this setup?", Ron inquired.
"For an installation this small, there is an unusual amount of power delivered to it.", Hirotaka informed the mystical ninja.
"That's not really a lot to go on…", the former sidekick said, "Of course, all villain lairs, but a few, had high energy consumption."
"The building appears to have little activity to count for their power consumption."
"Crud. Okay, I get it. This is the kind of crap that almost got me offed in China."
"Good, you understand. Now there is a rental car waiting and there is a room registered to you under the name in the file in Watertown.", Hiro explained, "Remember to use the maps in your packet and the GPS unit in the vehicle."
Ron looked out the window as the plane parked, "Not much of a Terminal here, is there?"
Yori snorted, then warned her friend, "There is enough of one, Chosen One. Your transportation is on the outside of the building and has your name on it. Your room is outside Fort Drum in Watertown New York. Now hurry, the Global Justice inspection team will be in the air sometime in the morning and you have to be in place before then."
"I will be. I'll check in and grab some grub and check out the place, I might go in tonight…"
Yori reminded the Yamanouchi asset, "Take no action unless necessary."
"I know.", Ron responded as he rose from his seat and made for the exit door just as it was opening.
The blond PhD grabbed his disposable bag, with gear, and left the plane. Once outside, a man in a blue uniform came up to him.
XXX
Holiday Inn© Watertown, New York:
"Edwin Summers?", the desk clerk inquired after checking the blond man's credentials.
"Ed for short, Mom always liked old movies.", Ron/Dean/Edwin explained.
"So, three nights?"
"Yeah, but I might be here a fourth if I get more contacts, you know?"
"Okay. So, what is your business if I might ask?"
"I'm in route sales and the managers at my company want me to check out the area to see if we might want to expand here with an idea of moving into Canada eventually.", the blond man lied, "Anything to do here in Watertown?"
"Not much. As Harry Chapin® once said, I spent a whole week in Watertown, New York, one afternoon.", the clerk laughed. (BTW: Harry actually did say that at one of his live concerts…AN)
The undercover ninja chuckled, "I see my luck is still holding out."
The desk clerk continued, "There are some decent eateries in town though…And some bars."
Dean/Ron/Edwin smiled, "Good. Now I can watch my waistline balloon. Can I put my things into my room? I plan to be back sometime after three to get on your motel's WIFI to report in and then go back out later after I get some eats…My office keeps tight tabs on me and my expense reports, but the mileage is going to be down to the foot if I can help it along."
"You screwed them in the past huh?"
"No, they're just cheapskates. It takes almost three months to get reimbursed for my expenses. I can't wait for a better opportunity and then I am history.", the blond snorted as he picked up his bags and made for the elevator.
The clerk chuckled as his customer turned, "Sucks to be you."
The blond man looked over his shoulder and said, "More than you know."
Ten minutes later:
The blond man waved to the desk clerk on his way outside. Carrying a small backpack, he set it inside his rental car, then got inside and began looking for a decent looking place to get lunch.
Three hours later:
Driving the dark blue Chrysler 300 towards the target, the blond had been planning his infiltration of said target for later in the evening. He drove northeast on Highway One Twenty-six and took it east until he came to Route Three in Carthage, New York. He then drove what looked like a meandering route while staying on Highway Three until he came to the turnoff on County Road Fifty. From there it was a fairly short drive until he came to Newton Falls where Route Sixty (in the middle of the drive the road renamed itself from Fifty to Sixty…AN) turned to the left. Dean Kaminsky pulled over onto a dirt road and drove so that he was further off the paved road. Parking in a wooded area, he checked as he swiveled his head to make sure no one would notice the dark blue sedan. He then hoisted his small pack onto his shoulder and walked back the way he had come to get a better look at the one-story building. He walked up to the low hill at the back of the property and began to climb it to see if anyone would come out of the building.
Dean mused, 'The parking lot here is basically empty…Let's see if I can get their attention if anyone is here.' The undercover ninja got to the top of the small hill and looked around.
The blond man kept his back to the facility and looked around and brought a pocket camera out of his jacket and took some pictures.
He could hear someone calling out to him, but, keeping in 'character', he ignored the voice.

GJ:
Doctor Director placed her hands on the conference table in her office, "Agent Possible. Assemble your team in Hangar C in ten minutes with their Go Bags. It's time to pay my weird twin a visit."
"Your brother?", Kim asked, "Yes Ma'am…But weapons? This is an inspection trip, right? We don't want to come off as heavy-handed.", Kim pointed out.
"True Kimberly, hand weapons and shock watches only.", Betty Director clarified, "And make sure the watches and batons are charged and be sure that everyone has lethal ordinance in their sidearms. Oh, and light body armor…You never know."
"Ten minutes then. I have to grab my stuff. So, if you will excuse me.", the Oxford grad replied as she left the boss' office and hurried to the Squad Bay where the red head's gear was stored.
X
GJ hangar, ten minutes later:
Doctor Director faced the detachment, "As you have been briefed, one of your current duties here at GJ is to make surprise inspections on former villains to ensure the compliance of their deals with various governments. If you see anything suspicious you have the authority to intervene and take into custody, not only those who are in the act, but also the villain who runs the facility."
One Agent raised her hand, "Ma'am, since we are armed am I to assume that we are authorized to use force to accomplish our assignment?"
"Yes, Agent Carruthers. That is why you were issued your weapons.", Betty responded. After the rumbling of surprise quieted, "We simply want to make sure that the group we going to see are still in compliance with the agreements that they made in Two Thousand and Seven. The pardons they received were conditional on their agreement to be supervised on a random basis."
"But do we really need firearms?", Nicole Carruthers asked, while trying to not reveal her deeply ingrained Anti-Second Amendment tendencies to her fellow agents, "Global Justice of old didn't use firearms…"
"Agent, GJ has always had firearms available in case they require them to perform our assignments and duties. In the past there have been a scant few times that we as an organization saw fit to have them available for use…But, after the incident in Two Thousand and Seven, where we lost a substantial number of Troopers due to their fight against the Aliens, we have been stocking more individual firearms and larger crew served weapons, as well as APCs, to be used if needed." At seeing the Agent wanted to continue her dispute regarding the seemingly rare need to be armed in the line of duty, "However, I do not wish to get into a policy debate with you at this time since you have work to do.", the Director cut her off.
Unable to see beyond the ideology she lived in for most of her young life before joining GJ, Agent Carruthers again attempted to counter her Boss, when a low voice and Kim Possible's hand on the younger woman's shoulder stopped her. "You weren't in Middleton where a lot of the casualties were. When we get back, I will bring up the archives so you will understand." At this, a wide-eyed Agent Carruthers backed off of her complaint for having to carry lethal ordinance on a GJ Mission. If Kim Possible was going to carry a weapon, without protest, Carruthers realized that she really needed to reconsider quite a few things the educational and social absolutes in her young life had embedded in her up to then. Starting right after this mission.
Continuing after Betty saw the exchange between her two Agents come to an end, "The last time you deployed it was to inspect the lab of one Hans Demez, otherwise known as Professor Dementor, which became from what we have determined the scene of his murder. This time there should not be any deceased on the premises…or we at least hope so. This will be the type of missions that you will undertake with Agent Possible since she is responsible for maintaining a watch on these former bad guys.", Betty paused to let this sink in. "Now, if there are no other questions, you will fly out to land at Fort Drum and stay there overnight. Then in the morning you will go to the site in question." Nodding at the silence, "Okay…Load up."
XXX
Newton Falls, New York:
A hand grabbed the shoulder of the young blond and whipped him around, "Buddy! This is private property.", hissed the voice accompanying the hand. "You have to leave…Now."
The undercover ninja whipped his head around, "Huh, oh sorry I was planning on making an offer on some thousand acres of property at 44 degrees, 13 minutes and 47.14 seconds North, 75 degrees, 2 minutes and 15.15 seconds West and this seemed to be a good place to see it from above…ah, Joe."
The older man didn't like where this was going and according to his orders no one was supposed to be on the property nor anywhere around it, for security purposes. "You can't, we log over there.", 'Joe' informed the younger man as he tried to get keep him off-balance.
"Really? My family put an offer in on that land last week and they sent me up here to look it over before the final transaction. I'm afraid my lawyers will be having to deliver a cease and desist order to your company once we take possession next month. May I have the name of it please?". Dean inquired with a smile and then grimaced as 'Joe' roughly began to drag him towards the building where another man, dressed the same as 'Joe', was waiting.
Dean struggled a little to give the impression that he was being overpowered. When they got to the building, 'Joe' told the other guy, "This clown was up on the ridge and now he says he is buying the property to the west." Joe then threw Dean into the wall. Turning to his friend, "Wes, do you want me to rough him up? We don't want any non-locals here. That's what the boss said."
Dean was up against a wall and noticed the other guy had a name-tag that read 'George'. "You know," the blond man pointed out, "we're gonna be neighbors and neighbors shouldn't pick on neighbors…"
'George' suggested to 'Joe', "Take him out in the woods and disappear him. We don't need anybody snooping around."
"Hey wait a minute, people know I'm coming here…offf.", Dean gasped as 'Joe' punched the blond man in the stomach.
George chuckled, "We'll make them disappear too punk. Where did you park your car?"
"Go fuck yourself…", Dean hissed as he was hit again.
"On the property we're buying, I parked it just off a dirt road."
"Good let's go get it. We don't wanna litter, do we? It's nice up here, too nice to leave cars around. It'd be like a junkyard and we don't want that around here.", Joe cackled as he pushed the back of the younger man's head to get him moving along, not realizing that he, 'Joe', was a walking dead man since the guy he was pushing around was more dangerous than anyone he had ever met.
"Of course, 'Joe' didn't have any concerns about someone walking over his grave as he pulled out a small semi-auto 9MM single-stack out of a concealed holster. "Come on with me, I don't want to haveta carry you punk while I try to find your car."
"Okay, sure, whatever you say, Joe.", Dean faux-nervously replied as he began to meditate within himself, knowing he may not get more than one chance when they both got to the car he had stashed.
'Dean' led 'Joe' to the sedan that he had hidden. "Keys?", 'Joe' ordered.
'Dean' turned around and handed 'Joe' the keys to the car. Then 'Joe' smirked, "You wanna see it coming or not?"
'Dean's' eyes flashed blue, "I wanna see it coming, don't you?" And suddenly there was a menacing blue knife in the blond man's right hand, which he shoved into the gut of 'Joe', then twisted it savagely and then ripped it to the left. He then kicked 'Joe' backwards causing the contents of 'Joe's' abdomen to spill on the ground. 'Joe' Eor raised his 'piece' up as the knife blurred for an instant and became a glowing blue sword as it slashed at his hand. A moment later 'Joe' gasped since his '9' landed on the ground with the hand still attached.
Nonchalantly the blond man kicked the gun and hand away, "Looks like you have a problem pal, wanna talk about it while you bleed out?"
'Joe' asked weakly, since he was able to see that he was disemboweled and he hurt like hell as he glanced at his missing appendage, "Who are you?"
Dean's eyes flashed deep blue as he brought the glowing sword up to his shoulder and saluted, "Your death has been brought to you by the Chosen One of Yamanouchi, fella. Have fun in hell you silly-assed bastard."
"Noooo…"
The sword blurred as it was swung towards its intended target.
Thud
'Damn Stoppable! That wasn't your best work, you made a mess…Guess I need to go back to Yamanouchi and get some practice in.', the blond thought to himself as eyes from the 'Joe's' head watched him in what was now amazement.
He waited for three minutes until the corpse finished bleeding out, then grabbed the body and dragged it into the woods. Ten minutes later the blond man was back, picked up the head by an ear and looked at the now unseeing eyes before he walked back into the woods, seemingly unconcerned about the events that had transpired in the previous sixty minutes.
He stepped around the blood when he got back to the car, gingerly entered and started it before he backed out of the tree line and drove away. Dean said to himself, "I have to get dinner, then get into my infiltration gear and head back out here."
It was Five PM as he entered the parking lot of the hotel.
The day shift clerk inquired as Dean walked past, "So, how was your day?"
"Route sales suck.", Dean responded, "Anyway, it's time for a few brews and something to eat. I haveta change out of my 'work clothes' into something a little more comfortable. See ya later, 'cause I don't think you'll be here when I get back from dinner."

Fort Drum, New York. The home of the 10th Mountain Division:
"Agent Possible, landing in twenty minutes at Fort Drum, New York.", the Captain of the GJ aircraft announced as he got to her seat.
"Right, thanks.", Kim replied as she put her hand on Wade Load's forearm to wake him from his nap.
Yawning mightily, Wade rubbed the sleep out of his eyes as he focused on Kim. "We're almost in, Wade.", she smiled at him. "After we deplane and get on the bus to our accommodations, I want you to go over all the rooms with your debug thing that you do."
"Uh Kim, err Agent Possible,", as Wade remembered they were on official business, "we have fifteen rooms reserved for us. I am going to require some time to do the scans and we have to keep everyone out of my way while I am doing this."
Kim brightened, "Well I know I'm a little stiff after that flight and I suppose everyone else is, too. So, I think about two hours of PT is in order. Will that be enough time Wade?"
"Yeah as long as I don't have to do it with you.", Wade's sarcastic reply brought a smile to both of them.
"Good. I'll make sure that they get their room assignments and take their weapons and valuables with them while they leave their keys with you, then.", the red-haired agent chuckled. "Anyway, this will be good for them, we haven't done a good old fashioned ten-mile run in a long time."
Internally, Wade jumped in the air and pumped his fists at missing out on this one, then calmly replied, "Yes Ma'am. Sorry to miss it, but you know I'm lying about that."
Kim smiled as she shoulder-bumped her longtime friend, "Don't ever change, Wade. But give them time to change into their workout gear, I can keep them busy long enough. Maybe after, we do some sparring with the local Drill Sergeants and afterward, we can get dinner. They should sleep well tonight and might even want to get to bed early."
Newton, New York:
George Scranton pulled out his radio and triggered the PTT button (That's 'Push To Talk'…Yeah that's what it's really called…AN) on his radio, "Hey Joe, get back here, we have to clock out."
Scranton did not get a response, so he made the call again. Still not getting an answer, he logged it and notified the next shift to tell 'Joe' that he wasn't getting overtime for sleeping on the job.
XXX
Watertown, New York:
The blond man walked out to the Chrysler rental. He was dressed in a sweat suit and carried a black backpack. Casually looking both ways, he unlocked the dark blue sedan and put the pack inside before taking his seat behind the steering wheel. After checking that the lot was clear of moving vehicles and pedestrians, he backed out. After exiting the parking lot, he drove to a restaurant he had seen driving back from Newton Falls.
Two hours later the blond put a doggie bag into his pack and secured the lid's straps. He had consumed a rather large meal and three of the locally brewed ales, at twenty-ounces each. Of course, he wasn't worried about being pulled over, considering who he was and how alcohol affected him. Or rather, didn't. He started the car, exited the parking lot (which was now filling up) and then made his way to his target site.
"Too bad Rufus isn't here…But then he would have snarked at me about my sword technique. I do have to get back there and get some remedial instruction or the next time I might feel the steel. Anyway, I feel like I'm not making much of a difference.", Ron muttered to himself as he headed east on Route Three, out of town.
He drove east, basically taking the same route that he did in the morning and came to Newton Falls with the sun in the west. He drove past the huge building and continued further up the road, having found a better place to pull over. So, he decided to scout it out better, although it was further away from his destination.
Later:
The sun had just dropped below the horizon when Dean Kaminsky, who was known in another life as Ronald Dean Stoppable, pulled his black backpack into the passenger seat next to him and pulled out a now-warm soda, a couple of burgers and some fries (which were now cold…funny how that works out…AN).
Listening to an Oldie's Station on the radio, a familiar tune he was very close to at one time came on. He listened for a moment, sighed, then changed the channel to something a little more upbeat.
It was getting dark thirty minutes later when the blond opened the door of the sedan up and got out. He reached back in, pulled his pack and the trash out. Then he tossed the keys inside and closed the door, not caring if someone took the Chrysler, since he was planning on leaving another way that had nothing to do with the auto.

Fort Drum:
Doctor Wade Load exited the last of the GJ contingent's rooms with a grin on his face as he left the last door open. When he got outside he spotted Kim and waved to her as she kicked one of her team in the ribs while holding his arm to show how a technique was done.
"Alright, stop right here. That's enough for today,", Kim commanded, "Head up to your rooms and get ready for dinner," she looked at her watch, "…in forty-five minutes."
Immediately the GJ operatives sprinted towards their quarters, passing Doctor Load in the process.
Agent Possible walked behind them, letting them get ahead of her. The African-American genius smirked, "Just what did you do to them?"
The red head stretched a little, "I was showing them some of Yamanouchi's medium level technique on how to handle multiple attackers with knives.", she said evenly. Then with an evil smirk, "The not-so-nice ones."
"Think that they'll survive?", the genius snorted.
"I'll advise them to take a hot whirlpool bath tonight before they hit the rack."
"Good, Kim. I wonder how it's going to be with Betty's brother tomorrow?"
Kim frowned, "You know of all of our old foes. I think he could have been the most dangerous."
Nodding, "He's why I brought my heavier body armor…I met him once with Doctor Director. He creeps me out.", Wade replied as he shivered. Then looking her in the eyes, "Are you going to wear that new battle suit I designed for you to wear? It might not completely protect you, but high velocity rounds up to fifty-caliber won't be able to penetrate it."
Apprehensive, "I brought it because it was light…but I don't know, Wade. The others in the Team don't have the advanced gear I have…"
"Don't worry about it, Kim.", Wade assured her, "I suggested they wear the new plastic impact plates that are being issued in their armor. That's what the sleeves are in their uniforms, you know."
"I had heard of that…Who designed them?"
"Doctor Drakken did Kim. They are very lightweight and flexible.", Wade informed her.
As they entered what was essentially a military motel, Kim lowered her voice, "Is it going to be really effective?"
"Not as effective as the suit I built for you, but close. Drakken did a good job, maybe we need to see him when we get done here. I just hope it's not about how his designs worked out."
"Yeah, now go get a shower and get changed. I want to meet again with the team before we crash out. You're right about the armor. I don't want any of my people getting hurt.", Kim replied with a frown as she turned left to go to her room allowing Wade to turn right to go down his hallway."

Newton Falls:
The blond crouched at the top of the small hill he had 'visited' earlier in the day and scrutinized the building and surrounding grounds through his field glasses. 'About every seven minutes. That's more than enough time to make my way inside.', he thought to himself as he put the binoculars away in his pack. Then he rose and calmly walked towards the building he was tasked with breaking into.

So, Ron's laid out all his cards to his Yamanouchi friends as to why he is still holding out on what has been 'Prophesized' by all who have been nagging him into taking on, from nearly the beginning of his rise as the Ultimate Monkey Master. The full extent of the initial lack of communication, due to a party line for two that really did a number on Kim while Ron went through PTSD from Graduation, and beyond. He and Kim will have to hash this out, someday, when Kim's got Ron hogtied and can't run.
A mission has come up that involves Gemini…someone who has done pretty well, up to now, at hiding what he's been up to since 'going straight' with GJ. Yamanouchi's Intel has finally caught up with someone they've been routing from the Far East for some time, but had evaded their abilities to identify him…until now. Ron's going in, full combat load, Kim's coming in, nearly as prepped, with her Team.
Should be an interesting 'Inspection' when the time comes, next chapter…
