I do not own My Hero Academia or JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
"Okay, so this time, if it even looks like you're about to have a rough landing, I'll catch you." Yagi-san said, "Last time, I assumed you had a landing strategy."
"Sorry, my quirk started buzzing the second I went into the air and I kind of panicked." Izuku rubbed the back of his head.
"Don't worry about it. You can't expect to do it perfectly on your first try." Yagi-san reassured him, "Ready to give it another shot?"
Izuku nodded in response, and the two of them got into position. It was a bit awkward to find a way for Holding Out to pick up and throw Izuku without hurting him. Ultimately, he settled on having his quirk pick him up with both hands under his arms so it could throw him like a basket ball.
"Ready?" Yagi-san asked from about ten meters in front of him.
"Ready!" Izuku shouted back. Currently, he was being held off the ground like a misbehaving cat.
Holding Out shifted position, winding up the throw. It began to let out a loud cry of Hero, when-
BOOM
Startled by the sudden noise, Holding Out floundered the throw and Izuku only flew about half a meter forward before landing gracelessly on his face. Ignoring the pain, Izuku quickly jumped to his feet and turned to face the direction the loud noise came from, but he didn't see anything.
"Midoriya! Are you okay?" Yagi-san jogged up to him.
"I'm fine. What was that?" Izuku turned to his older friend.
"It sounded like-" Yagi-san was cut off by another boom in the distance, albeit a much quieter one, "An explosion." He finished.
Izuku's mind immediately went to Kacchan, and he started walking in the direction of the explosions. He hadn't even taken a step when Yagi-san's hand on his shoulder stopped him.
"Hold on, young Midoriya. It could be dangerous." He said.
"Sorry, it's just-" The sound of three explosions in rapid succession interrupted Izuku, "I think that might be Kacchan?"
"Who?" Yagi-san asked.
"Oh, the boy who was with me when I fought the sludge villain. You know, he makes explosions from his hands." Izuku mimed an explosion with his hands as he spoke.
"Ah, him. But what would he be doing out in the woods?" Yagi-san asked. Another explosion, just as loud as the first, went off and they both winced, "He's not in trouble is he?"
"No, I don't think so. My quirk would let me know if he was in danger. He's probably training just like us. He's really serious about his training." Izuku said.
"Hmm. Perhaps we should move somewhere less... loud to continue training." As soon as Yagi-san finished speaking, explosions started going off non-stop for a solid ten seconds.
Once the noise finally died down, and their ears stopped ringing, Izuku spoke, "Yeah, that's a good idea. That could easily get distracting."
"Right, come along then." Yagi-san said as he began to walk away.
"I'll be along in just a sec." Izuku said, turning back towards the booming sounds, "I just wanna see how he's doing real quick."
"Don't take too long. We're suppose to be training." Yagi-san said.
"I won't be five minutes!" Izuku called out as he made his way towards the noise.
It didn't take Izuku very long to reach the source of the explosions since it wasn't very far from where he started. As he got closer, he started to move more slowly, more stealthily. Though, it was unlikely he would be heard over the booms. Once he finally arrived, he hide behind a tree and watched.
Sure enough, Kacchan was the source of the explosions. Izuku watched in awe as the explosive blonde let off a blast from him palms to rocket himself forward at insane speeds. Speeding through the air with his legs tucked close to his body, Kacchan flew towards a tree. Izuku heard a buzz from his quirk and for a brief moment was worried that Kacchan was about to slam headfirst into the tree like he had. But it turned out that the buzzing wasn't warning about danger to Kacchan, it was warning about danger to the tree. When the blonde reached it, he kicked both his legs forwards and smashed straight through the tree, snapping it in half. He landed against the next tree beyond the one he had just destroyed. Then, a quick explosion sent him zooming back to his starting point, destroying that tree too in the process.
Kacchan paused to catch his breath, and bent down to rub his legs. Izuku could only imagine that they hurt, considering that he just kicked a tree in half. Despite that though, he couldn't hear any buzzing coming from Kacchan, meaning that any injuries he might have were minor enough that Izuku couldn't hear them from where he was.
As the blonde went to get a drink of water, Izuku quietly snuck away while Kacchan had his back turned. He'd undoubtedly get angry if he found out that Izuku had been watching him.
Izuku marveled over what he had just seen as he walked back to find Yagi-san. Kacchan's skill with his quirk was incredible. Meanwhile, Izuku had just dropped himself not even five minutes ago. It made him realise just how far behind he was. What if everyone at U.A. had a similar level of skill and training as Kacchan, could he even get in?
Clenching his fist, his determination grew. He'll train hard everyday to be ready for U.A. He wasn't about to fail before he even began.

Mirai sat at his desk, a large stack of paperwork piled in front of him. As he was signing various papers (With an All Might pen, of course), a knock interrupted his work. Looking up, he saw Bubble Girl enter the room, looking far more nervous than usual.
"S-Sir, you have a visitor." She stammered.
"Describe them." Mirai said with a dangerous edge to his voice.
"A flaming hot redhead with a great chest." She replied, immediately understanding what he wanted.
Mirai smirked at her humorous answer, "Send them in then."
"Yes Sir!" Bubble Girl saluted and left.
Less than a minute later, she returned with the hot red-head in tow. Bubble girl cowered in the corner of the room, any attempt at humor obviously the farthest thing from her mind as stared anxiously at the new arrival.
Endeavor ignored her, choosing to glare in disgust at the various All Might paraphernalia decorating the room.
"Thank you Bubble Girl, you can float along now." Mirai said. He could feel her relief before she bolted from the room. A worrying reaction, considering he had seen her remain completely unfazed and even lighthearted in the face of murderous villains. He turned accusingly to Endeavor, "What did you do to scare her so badly?"
"You corrupted her with that horrible brand of 'humor' of yours." Endeavor said just as accusingly, "You should be banned from having sidekicks."
"We can't all do hero work with a stick up our asses like you, Endeavor. Most of us need levity." Mirai responded.
"Why did you call me here?" Endeavor asked, ending their current conversation.
"Straight to business as usual then? Fine, have a seat." Mirai gestured to a chair across from his desk. After glaring at it for a solid ten seconds (Probably checking to see if it had a whoopee cushion in it or something), Endeavor sat down.
Mirai held back a smile at the sight of such a large man sitting in such a tiny chair. He had specifically put a smaller one than normal in his office in anticipation of the Flame Hero's arrival.
"I need your help." Mirai said bluntly, his amusement forgotten.
"It must be important if you came to me. You know I hate you." Endeavor said.
"Yes, I'm well aware." Mirai replied, "Unlike All Might, who I can only assume is willfully ignorant of your feud with him."
"No, this has nothing to do with All Might. Your horrible taste in decor notwithstanding. I hate you specifically." Endeavor sneered.
"The feeling is mutual, trust me. But we're both professionals," That earned Mirai a disdainful snort, "so let's set our personal feelings aside. And to answer your early question, it is important. I'm stuck on an investigation, and as you've solved more cases than any other hero in history, I figured you could assist me."
"What case? The Hero Killer? Or is it that Yakuza business I've heard rumors about you investigating?" Endeavor asked, though Mirai got the distinct impression that he didn't really give a damn.
"Neither, I don't need any assistance with those. Not from you at the very least." Mirai said, "This is something far more important, and a far more difficult case to crack."
"If it's so important, then stop wasting my time with all this cryptic nonsense." Endeavor practically growled.
"I am investigating All For One." Mirai said.
Endeavor's glare deepened.
"Enough with the jokes, Nighteye." Endeavor actually growled this time, "Tell me why I'm here."
"I'm not joking." Mirai said solemnly, "I'm looking into All For One, but I've hit a dead end."
"Because he doesn't exist!" Endeavor snapped, "He's a boogeyman from the early days of quirks. To be frank, I'm surprised you've even heard of him."
"I've done more than hear of him. I've seen him." Mirai's voice hardening, "He is real, Endeavor. Do not doubt me on that. For the past hundred years, he has controlled Japan from the shadows. Until almost six years ago, when he was defeated by All Might. At the time, we thought he perished in the battle. With All For One dead, the commission didn't feel the need to make information about the case public. After all, he had already kept himself a secret for a century, suddenly revealing his existence could've caused a panic." He explained. Maybe it was the utter seriousness with which he delivered the information, but Endeavor was actually listening to him, something he was grateful for, "However, recent developments have caused me to believe that he may have survived. In fact, I'm certain of it. But, the trail's gone cold. I haven't been able to find out anything about where he might be or what he's planning. Which is why I need your help."
Endeavor scrutinised him for a solid minute, before his eyes widened slightly in shock.
"Gods, you're actually serious." He said quietly, leaning back in his chair.
"Deadly." Mirai replied.
"So, you want me to help you and All Might hunt down a man who's kept his existence a secret for the better part of a century, with no solid leads to go on?" Endeavor somehow sounded annoyed, rather than shocked or surprised or any of the other emotions one would expect from someone who had just been convinced that a person they thought was a myth was actually real. Normally, Mirai would've been impressed (Or concerned for the man's emotional range, since various levels of pissed were the only things Endeavor ever seemed to display), but instead he focused on...
"I'm afraid that All Might won't be helping us with this." Mirai said grimly.
"Why?" Endeavor snarled, "I'm not complaining, but- Actually, no, I am complaining! He was the one who failed to actually put All For One down. Why isn't he helping us track the villain down to finish what he started?"
"Because, All Might doesn't believe All For One is still alive." Mirai snapped, "Nothing I've found has been actually concrete. And, to be frank, All Might doesn't want to believe that All For One is alive. He was willing to entertain the idea at first, but he always wanted him to be dead, and the longer we went without hard evidence, the more he became convinced that he killed that monster. Now, I'm not sure what it would take prove otherwise to him."
Mirai didn't like talking about All Might this way, especially to someone like Endeavor, it felt like a betrayal somehow. He remembered being surprised by how willing All Might had been to entertain the idea of All For One being alive. Neither of them had liked the idea. Mirai didn't want to even entertain the notion that the villain who had crippled his personal hero had somehow survived, despite All Might sacrificing so much to finally stop him. And All Might had suffered far, far more at All For One's hands than Mirai ever had. He could have gotten angry and told Mirai to never even suggest the idea that All For One was somehow alive, and Mirai would've understood him completely.
But he didn't. All Might understood the seriousness of the situation, he understood that if there was even a chance that All For One could still be alive, they had to look into it until they were absolutely certain that he was dead.
At least, at first.
But as time passed, All Might slowly stopped focusing on the possibility that he survived or even passed on his quirk, and instead began focus more and more on the idea that he simply stored quirks for later use or any other idea where All For One was gone for good. The lack of any news on All For One slowly lulled All Might into a sense of security, but Mirai...
Sir Nighteye wouldn't rest until he was completely certain that that bastard was dead, and his quirk died with him.
And it hurt so much every time he called All Might to tell him that he wasn't completely certain. It hurt to watch his idol slowly crumble under the weight of his trauma and decide that Mirai's lack of findings was good enough, because it was slowly becoming too painful to continue to entertain the alternative. Mirai knew better than most that All Might was only human, that he could be hurt, that he could die. But the idea that it wasn't just All Might's body that could be broken, but his spirit also... That was almost too much.
So, Mirai stopped pestering him about this investigation. He was willing to let All Might accept the idea that All For One was dead, even though he himself couldn't. All Might had already spent most of his life carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Mirai could lighten that load, if only a little, and carry this investigation by himself.
Except, as it turned out, he couldn't do this himself. He needed help.
"So, you're telling me that you don't actually have any proof." Endeavor growled, barely keeping his anger in check. Because, of course, that was what he chose to focus on. It made sense, the universe didn't seem to be to willing to throw Mirai any bones as of late.
In response, Mirai opened a drawer in his desk, and pulled out a small device about the size of a cell phone. He placed the black rectangle in front of Endeavor.
"This hard drive contains all the information the commission has on All For One, as well as everything I've gathered for my current investigation. I want you to take a close look at it, and if you're even half the investigator I am, you'll see why I'm almost certain that he's still alive." Mirai said. In all likelihood, it wasn't the smartest idea to piss off Endeavor when he desperately needed his help, but there was just something about the man that made him do so. Plus, the barbing might actually motivate the man to seriously go through the evidence.
Wordlessly, Endeavor snatched the hard drive off the desk. He sat up, and stomped towards the exit.
"One more thing." Mirai said, and Endeavor groaned in response, "Don't mention any of this to the commission. I'm worried they might be compromised."
"That's one hell of a claim." Endeavor glared at him over his shoulder.
"You'll find the reason for my concerns on the hard drive." Mirai said, his mind going back to how Noro Kakehi's body had gone missing and his quirk registry had been changed, "I'm mentioning it now, because even if you do agree with me that All For One is alive, we'll have to investigate this off the books."
"So that's why you came to me. You don't just need my help, you need my agency. My resources." Endeavor said, his words laced with contempt.
"You hit the bullseye. I guess I don't need to worry about your deductive abilities." Mirai replied.
There was no response, Endeavor simply resumed his walk toward the door. Just before he opened it, he activated his quirk, and the Kick-Me sign on his back was reduced to ash.
Mirai let out a sigh of disappointment.
Thank the gods Nighteye finally got a name.
Some people have been a bit confused as to what exactly Holding Out's Stand Power is, so I'll try to explain. Izuku's disaster sense is Holding Out's main ability. Unlike some other Stand Powers like Crazy Diamond's fixing or Star Platinum's time stop, Holding Out's ability is always active, regardless of if Izuku has his Stand Out or not. Also, since Holding Out has high potential, its powers might evolve as the story goes on.
