A huge hologram rose and devoured there surroundings, combined with the enhancement glasses and the futuristic technology they were as good as on Geonosis.
"Alright boys, your objective is to get to a vantage point and destroy all of the clankers. You'll know when they've all been defeated. May the force be with you."
Mliss faded out of the holographic scene to spectate out of view.
Plank looked around and saw that they had arrived in a crater newly created by the crashed ship by which they came to be there. The ground was dry and dusty, the golden dust blew up to surround them. Plank was immensely thankful for his armor which shielded him from the brewing tempest as the sky was quickly turning an unsightly grey. His tactical instincts turned on and looking around he now saw that He was laying in the ideal trap.
"Sly!"Plank called over the whistling wind. Scanning the edges of the hole, Sly was nowhere to be seen.
"Come on Sly! We just got in here, don't ghost on me now!" Plank shouted exasperated.
"Plank let's get going clankers are about to come!"
Plank sighed. Same old Sly. Reaching the top of the crater Plank looked out onto the horizon, and wasn't disappointed. Sandy rock reached out across as far as eyes could see, while tall rock structured stretched to the sky on the edges of the scene. Lowering his gaze, Plank saw Sly was beaconing to him.
"See the old bunker down in the valley. There are only three long trenches that get us to it. It's the perfect vantage point."
"But if the droids already are inside it, we would be bantha fodder for sure" Plank countered trusting his instinct.
"It's the only safe point for miles"
There was only a millisecond to respond to the orders: Clone troopers! Fire!
Plank whipped around with rare precision taking out three of the four droids. No! Plank thought, realizing too late. Pinned to a wall against two killer battle droids was a mistake that would cost him his life. Two blaster shots rang out and the droids rolled forward ominously to crash to the floor. Sly had managed to slip around to take out the clankers silently.
Plank breathed a sigh of relief"You, Sly, are the definition of inconspicuous."
"Thanks, and impressive shot!"
"That was the most luck I've had in the past few weeks"
"You're going to have to tell me about that some other time. Right now it is imperative we get to that bunker."
Plank nodded in recognition of how significant it is that they hastened to their destination. Rushing down the hill, Plank had a feeling deep in his gut that danger was ahead.
"Plank look out!" Sly pushed him into the trench that dug about a meter into the hard rock terrain. As silent as Sly could move, those droids had somehow moved noiselessly towards them, only Sly's reflexes had saved him. That's twice too many.
Super battle droids were advancing on there position with lethal precision. No, no, no! Their tactical position was leaving their defenses non-existent!
"We need to head to the shelter!"
"We won't make it!" Plank argued, though, he knew I was their last opportunity to change the tides.
"Come on!" Sly called as he bolted down the winding trench. Sly knew what he was thinking though Plank wasn't sure if he agreed.
Gritting his teeth Plank reluctantly tore away from his temporary haven. Darting after Sly, Plank could only look onward and pray that the force guarded him from behind.
