Sensual Summer Heat

Hello and welcome to another experimental fanfic of UQ Holder, in which a new inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, and here the idea of summer propped into my mind as that season is approaching in my country, whereas it happens in July in Japan and the north (i.e. United States of America), and this inspired me to make a summer-themed story that involves Touta Konoe, and given his current age, it is natural for him to feel the summer heat and the like, but also to deal with a certain girl that would AWAKEN his…well, you'll soon see.

Ch. 1: adobentoobusamā

Japan.

The country that is located within South East Asia, quite near different Asian countries such as China, Taiwan and the Philippines, is seen and that country is ruled by the Diet, and are handled by the Emperor and the Prime Minister. After their defeat at World War II, the country began to change for the better, and for several decades Japan vastly improved, mostly in the technological department yet their culture and values remained the same, as most Japanese citizens remained hospitable to visitors, residents and tourists alike.

The scene then zoomed further and you can see that the scene shows that the place being shown is Tokyo, which is bustling with people who are walking the busy streets, some riding vehicles, and others riding on bicycles. There are several types of people seen on the streets; adults, children, and even infants being carried by their parents. Businessmen, businesswomen, students, policemen, all kinds of persons are seen, and they were doing their usual activities as if they do not mind it.

Shops are open and the merchants are selling their merchandise and are enticing people to buy them in hopes of earning money. It was a typical day and it seems that people today are lively and felt that their lives are full of blessings and couldn't ask for anything more, as some are happy with stable jobs, students studying in the best schools, and more, and some even chatted with one another feeling that today is a good day.

"Hey there..."

"Today's a good day..."

"Ah...life is so good..."

"Let's have lunch...?"

"Will you be my girlfriend...?"

"Let's get married..."

"Stop right there!"

"EEEP! COPS!"

The scene later shifts to a city-wide area somewhere within Japan, and there it is July in Shin-Tokyo. Atrocious summer heat that cooked the inhabitants of the various communities and cities, which was made worse by the Japanese school system, since school was in session. Due to some tampering on several school principals' part, there was no relief from the air conditioners at several high schools.

All the other students, as well as the teachers and staff at the various schools couldn't wait for summer break, which would start next week, as right now it is Friday. Finally the school bell rang, ending that day of hell. And many students are rejoicing at the fact that school ended and the summer vacation would commence next week.

Many are eager to leave the school and head for home; some went straight to the malls to bask on the air conditioners to absorb the cool air; the rest went straight to the swimming gym and changed to their swimming shorts and ran straight to the swimming pool. The students are now excited to take a dip to rid their bodies of the summer heat and the sweat on their bodies.

"WOW! THE SWIMMING POOL'S BEEN EXTENDED! A SEPARATE ONE! NOW WE WON'T HAVE TO HOG THE SPACE!"

"WOOHOO!"

"I'M GOING SWIMMING!"

"YEE-HAH! NOW I'M LOKING FORWARD TO HAVE SWIMMING AFTER CLASSES!"

"COME ON, LET'S GO!"

"YIIPEE!"

"YAHOO!"

"OUT OF MY WAY!"

The scene shifts at UQ Holder headquarters, identified as the Fairyland Hall, which also doubles as a hot spring resort, where many tourists and vacationists are flocking, as they are taking advantage of the fact that they can spend their summer vacation here, as well as bask on the air conditioners, as the heat from the sun are starting to take its toll on their bodies, and yet this means that the Fairyland Hall is earning a lot of income due to the influx of customers coming here.

The staff members are becoming quite busy as they assists the customers in booking a room and some giving them courtesy as the customers are awaiting the room thy want to book, while others are carrying the luggage of the patrons as they escort them to their assigned rooms. The staff members are identified as :

- Karin Yuuki

- Shinobu Yuuki

- Kirie Sakurame

- Santa Sasaki

- Touta Konoe

- Ikkuu Ameya

- Gengoru Makabe

- Kuromaru Tokisaka

The eight of them made sure that attention to the customers are given, and when some of the customers are ready to depart, they gave the staff members tips as a way to thank them for giving such courtesy, and the staff members, who are also members of the UQ Holder organization, thanked the departing customers for the generosities they gave.

"Thank you, sir!"

"Thank you, ma'am!"

"Enjoy your stay!"

"Thank you for choosing our resort!"

"Come back again!"

"Thanks for the tip!"

"We do hope to see you again!"

"lease recommend us to your peers!"

The next days proved to be quite a busy moment as more customers arrived while some departed, and the UQ Holders members were quite busy and barely had time to relax as they have to ensure that customer satisfaction is given to the customers.

Kirie appeared to be the happy one as she gets to secure the finances and the income it generates, while Touta, Kuromaru and Santa noted that Kirie is somewhat possessive when it comes to money, which Kirie said that this trait is important as this is needed in order to keep Fairlyland Hall afloat and to make sure they have enough money to make ends meet.

"And that's why you got me!"

"Yeah…"

"You do have a point…"

"Does money really matter to you?"

"Of course!"

"She's right…"

"We can live without money, right?"

"Touta!"

Meanwhile, Shinobu and Karin are not feeling any discomfort in the non-stop attending towards the customers, and there the two girls are chatting about how things have gotten busy here, and Shinobu said she doesn't mind it, which Karin nodded, saying that it's good to hear about it, as serving the customers is very important as members of the UQ Holders.

By then the girls overheard Touta ranting about the summer heat and wanted to take a dip into the swimming pool, which Kuromaru and Santa smiled, urging him to be patient as they are too busy at the moment attending to the needs of the customers.

"Come on, Touta…"

"You can do that later…"

"But I'm already heated!"

"Break will come soon…"

"Be a bit patient…"

"Beating bad guys are one thing…but standing in this heat…"

"Part of the job…"

"At least we can eat and sleep while on breaks…"

"Come on, guys…!"

Shinobu giggled at seeing Touta's optimistic yet funny side, and Karin tells Shinobu that this is not a funny matter, and tells her that she should be more stern towards Touta so that he won't go out of line, though Shinobu said that Touta is not that bad of a person.

Karin sighed and said she has no idea what Touta is, stating that he is an idiot at times, and he can also be dense in spite of his good fighting prowess.

"Really, You should be a bit hard on that idiot…"

"But Touta is really dependable…"

"True…"

"So he's not at all useless…"

"I doubt about that."

"If you get to know him well, he…"

"I rather not."

"Huh? Touta?"

By then Touta appeared and Karin is taken by surprise, shrieking a bit, and there he gave the two girls a pair of popsicles with an ice cream, which is cold and melon-flavored, saying that one of the departing customers asked him to give it to the staff members as thanks for the courtesy the staff gave.

As Shinobu thanked Touta and enjoyed the ice cream popsicle, Karin reluctantly accepted and stared at Touta, watching him chatting with Shinobu, and she wondered why she couldn't bring herself to dislike him as she finds him a nuisance and a headache, though she cannot deny the fact that he is a big help to the UQ Holder organization, and that he made a lot of friends here at Fairyland Hall.

By then Kirie showed up and glanced at Karin noticing her glancing at Touta and she whispered to Karin, asking if she developed a crush on Touta, which caused the Saintess of Steel to stare wide-eyed and blush, which a grinning Kirie said this appeared to be the case.

Of course, Karin would deny it and tells Kirie not to get any wild ideas.

"W-what?"

"Oh-ho…so you do like him…"

"N-no! That's…!"

"Then why are you staring at him…?"

"I'm just…"

"I'm betting…you're thinking WHAT IF HE TAKES ME TO BED AND DO THE YOU KNOW WHAT…"

"No way! I rather die!"

"But you can't, right? Hence…"

Touta and Shinobu stared as Kirie and Karin are arguing, and she tells her to drop the topic, yet Kirie scooted closer as she whispered to Karin, saying that one day the Saintess of Steel would MAKE OUT with Touta, which caused Karin to blush even deeper and tells Kirie to knock it off, which Kirie grinned wider and said her hunch is right.

"W-what?"

"Oh-ho…so you do like the idea of DOING IT with you…"

"N-no! That's…!"

"Then why are you staring at him…? Why are you blushing…?"

"I'm just…"

"I'm betting…you're thinking WHAT IF HE TAKES ME TO BED AND DO THE YOU KNOW WHAT…his PEE-PEE pointing STRAIGHT at you…"

"No way! I rather die!"

"But you can't, right? Hence…you would get to…"

Touta then scooted closer and asked what is going on, and noted that Karin is blushing deeper and asked if she is feeling bad or something, and Karin went into PANIC MODE, as she punched Touta with a straight hook, sending the 14-year old boy straight back, and landed onto Yukihime, as she caught him and raised an eyebrow as she wondered why he landed on her like that.

"Huh?"

"…"

"Touta…?"

"…"

"What happened?"

"…"

"Touta!"

"…"

Shinobu stared in worry and asked Karin why she smacked Touta like that, and Karin is too flustered to respond, and as Kirie offered to explain, Karin began strangling her and tells her to shut up, which Kirie shrieked while being strangled while Karin tells Shinobu to ignore all of this, which only made her more curious.

"GGGAAAKKKK!"

"Not another word! Shinobu! You heard nothing!"

"Huh?"

"GGGAAAKKKK!"

"Kirie…say that to anyone I'll kill you! Shinobu, just ignore what Kirie is saying!"

"But..i can't understand anything as you're choking her…"

"GGGAAAKKKK!"

"Just do as I say, okay?"

"…"

Hope you liked this opening chapter, as it started normally as summer is being set, yet the heat is catching up to the characters, while Kirie takes the opportunity to tease Karin, and Touta becomes the recipient of the Saintess of Steel's flustered behavior…
