PERCY p.o.v
On our way back to the ship I noticed an odd looking person following us. It was a woman with a skirt that covered her legs and was walking funny. Usually I would just shrug it off but knowing Gaea this is probably some trick of hers so I should warn the others.
"Guys, there is a strange woman following us that seem pretty suspicious." I tell them. They turn around but this time she's nowhere to be seen.
"Uhh, Perce" Leo says "Are you feeling ok? cause I think you're seeing th-" He was cut off by a big roar.
"On second thought, we should run!" He shouts, while running for his life. I turn to follow him but something gets in my way. In front of me was someone I prayed to never see again ever since the end of the titan war, because blocking my path was none other than Kampê in all her glory.
Gods she was ugly, I mean no offence to her but wow... she should get a full body makeover. She had a human head with snakes for hair, a half human body with reptilian skin and a half dragon with gigantic claws.
Huge dark reptilian wings, a huge venom-dripping scorpion tail (that looks extremely venomous), and at the point where her halves meet her skin bubbles occasionally producing ferocious mutated animal heads that constantly change shape like a gruesome, monstrous belt.
"Perseus Jackson" She roars. Uh oh, whenever someone says my full name I know I'm in trouble...
"Umm... hey, long time no see huh?" I say casually, I tend to do that when I'm nervous.
"Ha!" she shouts "I will destroy you and your little friends!" Well shit... so much for a friendly conversation.
She lunges at me with her razor sharp whipp in hand and I just about manage to step out of the way, her momentum making her stumble. Using this as an opportunity to take out riptide in time to dodge her next attack, I slash at her thigh and she shrieks in pain.
"You will pay for that Jackson!" She shouts, slinging her whipp which hits me across the back. I stumble and fall from the pain, half aware of my friends who seemed to have realized what happened. Slowly I get up from the ground to see Reyna stab her in the wing causing the monster to fall to the ground.
I make my way towards her, limping due to the pain in my back. Looking at the small opening in her armour on the neck I get an idea, a very stupid idea. My friends were running out of luck, Jason was on the flying out of reach with Frank who was a dragon but every time they got close she would spit venom in their direction forcing them back.
While she was distracted I jump on to her tail and start climbing up the back. When I reach the top of her spine I grab onto her neck for dear life, almost falling due to her trying and failing to get me off of her.
I lift my sword and bring it down in the small opening. She roared in pain and jumps up making me lose my grip and fly back into a building before she crumbled to gold dust. The world started to spin and slowly everything went black.
REYNA p.o.v
Gods I'm going to kill that idiot! I mean he always has bad ideas but this one takes the cake. What the Pluto is he thinking? I see him climb up Kampês reptilian tail and jump on her back, I run to help but I can't get close with her jumping like a rouge kangaroo. Percy lifts his sword effectively stabbing her in the neck and she turns into gold dust, I was relieved that nobody was hurt but i'm going to have a serious conversation with him about bad ideas...
I make my way towards Percy and see him on the floor, blood covering the pavement. No no no no no no! This can't be happening. I rush to his side, he was unconscious so I check him for injuries. I don't see anything until I turn him over to find a huge slash over his back, blood spilling out at an alarming speed.
With help from Frank and Jason we manage to pick him up and take him to the ship and into the infirmary. I try not to blush when I take of his shirt revealing his godly torso. Keep it together Reyna! I turn him around and look at the wound to see it had gotten worse, by this point I was panicking. What if he doesn't make it? No, he will make it. Suddenly I remember something he said about the water healing him, not sure but it's worth a try.
"Quick someone get me some water!" I shout at the rest of the crew, who were just standing there. Piper is the first to get out of her trance and runs to the kitchen. When she comes back with a jug filled with water I snatch it from her and pour it on Percy's back.
At first nothing happens and I begin to panic, but then the water starts to melt into his skin. It did that until all of it was gone and in its place a long white scar across his back. I was so relieved I wanted to jump in joy, but luckily I didn't because that would be awkward with everyone watching.
"Come on, we should let him rest." I look and see Piper, everyone gone to gods knows were. So I take one last look at the boy who changed my life and walk out the door.
