Not gonna lie, I was more surprised by the fact that no one questioned why Inner Moka knew deku's nickname than anything else. As for what's on everyone's mind: Harem...I honestly don't know. I didn't write this with any particular pairing in mind. Just gonna keep going and see what happens. Though personally I'm fond of Mizore, so…..
Also, as a reminder. This crossover is grounded in MHA, meaning that, basically, the entirety of Rosario+vampire's yokai related plot gimmicks are either gone or getting reworked.
I don't own Rosario+Vampire or MHA/BnHA
"Well-that's okay!" His apparent teacher said in a cheery voice. "You didn't miss much anyway, even the representative for the first years didn't show, ya know~"
She was tall, wore an orange camo pattern blouse with a white dress shirt and an orange skirt that was almost brown. She wore glasses that had red colored frames, despite the fact that it seemed like she always had her eyes closed. Also...she wore a necklace with a bell tied to it and her sandy-blond short hair, which reached just passed her neck, was styled into cat ears and she has a cat tail. Izuku guessed it was her quirk.
"Oh, really?" Izuku asked.
"Nyup!" She said, her hair wiggling, making Izuku wonder if it was actually ears and not hair. "So just grab a seat and wait for class to start!" She said with a cheery smile that, honestly, actually made Izuku feel better. In the past, teachers smiling never brought him much comfort, but this time he really felt at ease.
He looked at the seating chart, noted that it wasn't in alphabetical order, or any particular order that he could discern. He was in the second row away from the windows on the right of the room, the third seat away from the blackboard.
As embarrassing as it is, he still had his carry-on with him and his backpack only had clothes and one uneaten sandwich of the two his mother packed. However, looking around, he noted that at least two other people had more than just a backpack with them, one guy even had two suitcases in class!
Another thing he noted is that a lot of his classmates have some pretty obvious mutation type quirks. One girl, for example, has a large mouth on the back of her head with a tongue to match. That threw his mind for a loop.
Before he could start theorizing about how some of the quirks worked, someone brushed past him in a very rough manner.
"Move it, pipsqueak," the newcomer demanded.
He was tall. Very tall. He has light brown hair that was combed back but still unruly, a piercing on the left side of his bottom lip, a few ear piercings on both ears, and very mean look on his face. He stared at Izuku, a large serpentine-like-tongue darting out to taste the air, daring him to make a move, to defy him.
Izuku didn't. He cast his head down and did his best to ignore the newcomer.
"Teh," he could hear the guy let out contently. He sat at a desk behind Izuku, brought his feet on top of the desk and tilted his chair back before crossing his arms and closing his eyes.
Izuku quickly got comfortable in his desk while hearing everyone else chat. Izuku mused how familiar this setting was for a brief moment. Then he started thinking about how classes might work at UA and which heroes teach the hero courses. Then he thought about how he was going train One for All and trying to figure out why his phone doesn't have any signal.
"Um...hi," a voice broke Izuku out of his musings. He looked at the source of the voice to find a guy about his height standing near him and looked about as nervous as he did. "Sorry to bother you but everyone else seemed like they were already in groups and well...you seem like a nice person."
"Oi," The guy behind Izuku let out in an icy tone, making both him and the newcomer flinch, "that a crack at me?"
Izuku tilted his head but he couldn't see behind him, despite that fact, he was sure the guy was glaring.
"Ah-n-no of course not," the guy let out with a nervous laugh, "I haven't even met you yet, ahahaha, M-my name's Tsukune Aono, but you can just call me Tsukune, how-how do you do," he quickly introduced himself while rubbing the back of his neck and slouching a little as he did so.
"Tch." The guy went back to minding his own business.
Tsukune let out a small sigh of relief at that, running his hands through his short black hair.
"Izuku," Izuku said in a low voice that still caught Tsukune's attention, "Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you," he introduced himself with a smile.
"Wow! You actually got accepted into UA's heroics department!" Tsukune let out in surprise catching a few stares, causing Izuku to hide his face in embarrassment.
"Ye-yeah."
The two quickly struck up a conversation near the windows, away from the scary guy seated behind Izuku's desk.
"Man, I'm jealous," Tsukune admitted with a depressed sigh, "I failed the test for every school I applied to. I only got into Yokai 'cause my dad got drunk with some priest he met related to this school."
"A drunk priest?" Izuku let out in surprise.
"Yeah, there's probably a chapel or something around here somewhere. Anyway, I was told to go take the exam. It was pretty much last minute to be honest, and I got accepted. But I didn't see my score so I don't know if I, you know..." Tsukune trailed off.
"W-well you're here now," Izuku quickly said, "so it doesn't really matter, right?" He said hoping that was the right thing to say.
"Thanks, Izuku," he said as he smiled a little. Something that became apparent was that Tsukune wasn't formal, he referred to Izuku by his first name and Izuku felt it would be weird if he didn't reciprocate.
"You're welcome, Tsukune."
"Still," Tsukune continued, "What made you want to come here? Wouldn't going to UA make more sense if you want to be a hero?"
"Well, the thing is, I wanted to go to UA," Izuku began to explain as he scratched his cheek, "but, well, my dad thought I failed the practical exam. I don't blame him, I thought I did too. I knew I barely passed the written exam and I ended up breaking my legs and my right arm in the practical exam."
"Wait plural!" Tsukune let out in surprise, "as in," he motioned Izuku's legs and Izuku just nodded.
"Ye-yeah. Luckily, Recovery Girl is staffed at UA so I made a fast recovery."
"Holy cow, UA is hardcore," Tsukune let out with a blanched face, no doubt imagining horrible things.
"Pretty much," Izuku admitted. "It was honestly a huge shock when I got an acceptance letter from All Might-"
"ALL MIGHT CAME TO YOUR HOUSE?" Tsukune shouted in surprise
"EH!" Everyone in the class let out in surprise.
"AH! N-NO! I got a hologram letter and All Might was the one on it giving me the news! I think everyone who applied to UA got one!" Izuku quickly explained while flailing his arms about..
"Eh for real?" Some girl asked.
"Aw man I should have applied!" Some guy let out.
And like that he was quickly forgotten. Izuku sighed in relief.
"Sorry about that," Tsukune silently apologized.
"I-its fine," Izuku excused. "I was surprised too. I managed to get seventh place on the ranking. But my dad knew someone at this school, I rushed to take a last minute exam and...well, I ended up getting some weird scholarship or something, it really wasn't clear. My parents decided that coming here was the better option and...now I'm here on the hero track."
"I see," Tsukune said.
"All right everyone!" Their homeroom teacher said aloud with a cheery expression while clapping her hands. "To your seats, please! Class is about to begin~"
Obediently Izuku moved to his seat, careful not to disturb his very mean looking neighbor.
Then the bell rang.
"Well alright, good morning everyone~ Welcome to Yokai Academy! My name is Shizuka Nekonome and I'll be your homeroom teacher~"
"Shizuka nekono-" Izuku repeated as he wondered why that name sounded so-
"AH!" he gasped loudly catching quite a few stairs. "You! Your-" Izuku pointed at his teacher.
"Hm?" his teacher let out in confusion.
"Sensei! Are you the pro hero Nekomata of the Wild Wild Pussycats!?" Izuku asked loudly with a lot of enthusiasm and slightly flushed face.
"EH/HUH?" The class collectively let out in surprise.
"Nya hm hm hm," his teacher giggled, "to think one of my students would recognize me! Yes that would be me," she confirmed. "Though I've been retired from the group for a while now. That said," she suddenly started moving.
"Full of heart, courage, and love," she began as she crouched down, one knee down, and raised her hands in claw pose, "WILD WILD PUSSYCATS!" She shouted with a smile on her face as she posed.
"AH! THE WILD WILD PUSSYCATS POSE!" Izuku cheered with a slight blush on his cheeks.
"Huh?"
"Wild Wild Pussycats?'
"I never heard of that hero."
"Is that an agency?"
Came the confused mutters.
"You know," Izuku began as he looked around him. "The five person team, ah, four now I guess, they formed a joint rescue agency! They specialize in mountain rescue!" Izuku enthusiastically supplies. "Nekomata's quirk is a mutation type quirk that..." at this point Izuku realized what he had done as was currently turning red, "that gives her all the agility and enhances senses...of a...of a cat," he finished.
The class erupted into laughter.
"Oh jeez what a fanboy!" Someone shouted
"Ha ha ha, what a freaken' nerd."
"Like them pussycats, Seaweed-top?"
By this point Izuku had his head on his desk while using his arms to cover his bright red face. A very familiar position.
"Now now class, settle down," Nekonome said loudly while clapping her hands. "Hope you realize that there's a better time and place to ask things," Nekonome directed to Izuku, who gave a small nod in his position. "That said, if you want an autograph, ask me later~" she said as she somehow emoted a wink with both her eyes closed.
Izuku made a mental note to get that signature!
"Moving on," she said, "as some of you might have guessed, as both a licensed Pro Hero and a teacher, I'll be in charge of the hero track for the first years!" She said excitedly. "Those of you admitted to hero track, please pick up a sheet," she gestured to a disturbingly large stack of papers on her desk, "before you leave class. Those of you who are not, but are interested, please feel encouraged to grab one~" She cheerfully encouraged her students.
"While Yokai Academy does lag behind in the heroics department, it is by no means unable to compete with some of the best heroics academias out there, like UA or Shiketsu. This is because we take advantage of the fact that Yokai Academy is technically a boarding school with more than half the students preferring to live on campus. For those in the hero track, this means that in addition to regular school activities, they will also have to deal with a stricter regiment outside of class~ This means that we have students in the hero track spread throughout different classes, in fact, in this class alone, there are only five students in the hero track...I think."
"What?" A student let out.
"Seriously?" Began a few whispers.
Even Izuku was surprised. He honestly thought everyone in the class was training to be a hero!
"Okay, settle down~" Nekonome clapped, "as some of you might know, it is not too late to join the hero course or, ahem," she coughed, "drop out..." she said that last bit in a lower tone. "We have tryouts-slash-official meeting tomorrow morning! Read the slip for more information~" She cheerfully continued.
"So the hero track isn't all in one class and it takes place outside of regular class activities," Izuku muttered into his palm as he thought about it. He was somewhat familiar with UA's training regiment, gleamed off of various hero interviews and the student handbook All Might gave him. It basically took up physical education along with a class or two, but took place during class hours.
"Now onto the less exciting stuff! In keeping with Yokai Academy's history, and given that it's private property, the use of quirks is in fact permitted-" right away a bunch of students began to cheer and holler in class, some even showing off their flashy quirks. Mostly mutations or transformation types, Izuku noticed.
"IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES," Nekonome said loudly, earning quite a few whines and boos, "I didn't make the rules! Rules regarding the use of quirks should be in your student handbook. Also, as I'm sure some of you have noted already, because Yokai Academy exists in a separate dimension, or something," she said the last two in a low voice.
Wait so even she doesn't know? Izuku thought to himself in surprise.
"Because of that," she continued, "we are, more or less, disconnected from the world outside~ So stuff like internet and cell service doesn't exist here," she said in a cheery voice.
Glass breaking.
Izuku could swear he heard glass breaking.
"What," Izuku couldn't help but ask. He was sitting up straight and his wide eyes were practically the size of dinner plates. It seems like he wasn't the only one. The whole class was in a shocked state of silence.
"I know it's a little weird not being able to use your smartphone every five seconds, but believe me, it's get better!" She said in a cheery tone. "Eventually."
It was all starting to make sense. All Might's panicked voice, that bus driver's warning before they entered the tunnel. He can't communicate with All Might, and neither he nor All Might were in a position to contact each other physically.
THIS WAS THE WORST CASE SCENARIO!
"Oh c'mon cheer up," Ms. Nekonome attempted to cheer her suddenly glum and shocked students, "Yokai Academy still-"
A knock interrupted the teacher, the door slid open a moment later.
"Ah, sorry I'm late," a familiar voice said.
"Hmm, well, better late than never I suppose," their teacher said. "C'mon on in~"
A very familiar looking girl with pink hair walke-
"Ah," Izuku let out.
THAT'S HER! Izuku practically shouted in his mind. It was the girl from earlier. As he recalled what happened he couldn't help but blush a little.
"WHOA!"
"WHAT A BABE~"
"Oh fuck my life, how am I supposed to compete with that?"
A few of Izuku's classmates called out followed by some more praises that were thrown the Pinkette's way. That seemed to make said girl blush a little. Then she caught sight of Izuku.
Her face froze. A real life picture frozen in place. Then she blanched, she quickly looked away, looked at the seating chart and quietly went to her seat.
"Ah," Izuku silent let out, unsure what to make of that reaction, but he was fairly sure that he should have been the one making that face. Then he noticed something else. Aside from the pinkette, everyone was staring at his direction. Most brandishing mean glares directed, specifically, at him. He was used to being an object of ridicule, but an object of hate? That was new.
"Well, moving on!" The teacher said loudly as she continued with the orientation.
The class quickly ended and everyone ended up leaving. It was technically the first day of school, but according to the teacher, it was more or less to move in and explore the campus grounds, their home for at least the next year.
After that, the class had ended and students started shuffling out. Well, the pink haired girl was the first to run out the door, then she was followed by more than half the guys. The few that made their way out with the girls bothered to get a paper in the stacks. And while all that happened, Izuku stayed in his seat, ignoring the few glares and curious looks sent his way.
He stood up as the last person left, grabbed his carry-on and backpack, and proceeded to walk to the teacher's desk, said teacher erasing the chalkboard, grabbed a sheet of paper, and proceeded to walk out the door. A hand with a firm grasp on his shoulder stopped him.
"Midoriyaaaa~" Ms. Nekonome singsong out in a sickly sweet voice that didn't at all match the near-painful grip on his shoulder. He slowly turned to face his teacher with a shiver only to find her smiling at him menacingly with her eyes closed. "How about we have a quick chat, nnnkay?"
"OH! So that's what happened," Ms. Nekonome laughed out. Izuku for his part was slumped over one of the front desk, blanched and drained of life. Practically a blob with a soul leaking out.
"...yeah..." was all his ghost could manage.
"Though, I can't say I'm too surprised," she continued. "I certainly wouldn't want people to know I did that. Especially because of a quirk. Just the rumors alone would be awful, and then the insults...well it's a good thing you don't appear to be like that! But, just to be sure," she got close to him, one of her eyes opened all the way with a menacing bloodshot cat like-iris with a murderous glint of light, "you're not planning on blackmailing her, right?"
"NO! OF COURSE NOT!" He quickly shouted as he stood at attention, his trembling body suddenly full of energy.
"Well okay," she happily said with her eyes closed and clasping her hands close to her face, ignoring the way her student was currently trembling.
"Nyyyyyeo, still," she slumped over while tapping the edge of her bottom lip. She looked at the stack of papers near her desk with her eyes closed. She pouted loud enough for Izuku to hear while her tail wiggled in the air, "barely anyone took a handout, the vast majority of the ones that did didn't seem all that interested either..."
"..." Izuku stayed silent as he observed his teacher.
He couldn't help but feel a bit exasperated when her tail started to wiggle furiously.
"...Ah, sensei, may I have a sheet," Izuku eventually said, ignoring the fact that he had grabbed one previously and it was currently stuffed into his right pocket.
"OKAY!" She happily said turning around in the blink of an eye with a sheet of paper in her hands.
"T-thankyou," he said as he accepted the sheet of paper, unsure how to feel at the moment.
"Nyo problem~" She happily said, clasping her hands together as her tail wiggled behind her.
"Um...can..."
"Hm?"
"Can I...ah...can I have your autograph?"
"I actually got it," Izuku mumbled as he stared at the sheet of paper in his hand that now had a paw-shaped signature. Sadly it wasn't his notebook, but it still counts!
As he walked through the halls of the school, he could help but admire the architecture. He had seen UA a bunch of times(outside), it was basically a giant building full of glass and looked modern. In contrast, Yokai Academy looked more like an aged mansion with marbled floors and waxed to a mirror like finish and wood with such vibrant color.
"It feels like something out of an old superhero comic," he couldn't help but admire out loud.
The hall he walked through has two floors, the first floor was the main floor, then up a flight of stairs was the second floor where you can look down on the first floor. It was almost as if he was in a mall, to add to that, he could both feel and hear his footsteps.
He once read somewhere that malls were designed to allow a person to hear their footsteps in order to give them a sense of power. He couldn't help but wonder if that was part of the design process for the school.
"Hey that guy's muttering." A girl whispered loudly.
"Yeah." Another girl responded in the same manner.
Izuku jumped in place after he heard and quickly picked up the pace while covering his mouth.
"Ah-I was too loud," he muttered silently to himself as he put away the sheet of paper with the signature.
As he walked through the halls of the second floor a commotion caught his attention. A couple of guys wearing the same uniform as himself were huddled by the windows.
He meekly wandered over to see what they were all looking at.
"First day and there's already a fight," he heard one of the boys say.
He looked out to see two guys fighting.
One guy has something of a long blonde hair that doubled as a mohawk, he was fighting another guy with green skin, a single antenna, and arms with purple visible muscle patches that had already torn through his uniform.
The blond whipped his mohawk forward, using it like a blade, the green guy quickly brought up his hands, the purple muscle like patches quickly extended like an awkward shield that held.
"Hey, is it me or are there a lot of people in this school with mutant type quirks," one of the guys asked out loud.
"Oh, you didn't know," another classmate spoke up, "this place is actually pretty popular with folks born with quirks that dip heavily on the mutant side of the spectrum."
"Not just them," a different guy spoke up, "it's also pretty popular with us transformation types," said guy lifted his hand only for it to split open for a brief moment to reveal an Ivory tube. "I mean, we can actually use our quirks here!"
"Oh, on the way here, I heard that the school has a lot of history related to people with quirks, maybe a huge number of them had mutations," Izuku couldn't help but add as he got caught up in the excitement.
"Yeah, that plays a huge part too," the kid with the ivory tube said, "a lot of people have family that have either attended or worked her-" he paused. He turned to look at Izuku. It wasn't just him, everyone turned to look at him.
He twitched under their stares.
Quikly the entire group backed away from him.
"Eh?" He let out with a blank stare.
"Hey-that the guy?"
"Yeah-that's the heathen!"
One guy started hissing.
"Shoo! Go away, heathen," another guy said while trying to wave him away.
"Ehh," Izuku didn't understand what was going on.
"Anyone who causes grief to our goddess must be a heathen whom we must never associate with!" Another guy declared.
"Anyone who cause harm to our pink haired mistress must be evil filth that this world should be rid of!"
Do they mean that girl? Izuku couldn't help but think of the pink haired girl who bit him. But-most of them weren't even in the classroom!
Izuku just stood there frozen in place for a few moments, unsure of what to say or do in the situation he currently found himself in.
Suddenly, all the guy's flinched for some reason, some even had their mouth gaping, much to Izuku's confusion.
"Um excuse me," A very familiar voice spoke from behind Izuku.
Izuku twitched before he slowly turned around.
It was the pink haired girl. She held a very concerned expression and she was avoiding eye-contact
"Can, can we talk? Privately?"
"Please don't tell anyone what happened earlier," she suddenly blurted.
The two had gone to the roof of the academy only to find that they weren't the only ones. Various groups of students were on the roof, so the pair had headed to a far away enough section of the roof where they could talk in private.
"Ah what?" Izuku couldn't help but ask with a light flush. He understood the question but he was still at a lost at what was happening. For one, he was actually talking to a girl who wasn't a teacher or his mother (he actually was for once).
"I'll do anything, so please...don't...don't tell anyone what happened, please!," She even bowed her head.
"Ah-I-I won't say anything!" Izuku quickly replied, flailing his hands in a panic. Aside from having the living daylights scared out of him from Ms. Nekonome, Izuku wasn't that kind of person.
"You-you won't?" the girl asked as she angled her head to look up at him with emerald eyes. Izuku looked away.
"Well-I...um, ne-Nekonome sensei know's."
"Eh?" the girl let out in alarm. "Y-you mean-"
"AH! No, not like that," Izuku quickly said, he didn't know what the girl was thinking but he was pretty sure it wasn't positive. "After the bell rang, she asked why you might be afraid of me, she didn't seem offended or anything, she just wanted to make sure I wasn't the problem. After I told her what happened, she didn't react negatively," he quickly explained in a single breath.
"O-oh, I see," she said looking a little relieved but still uncertain.
"S-she didn't seem concerned or anything, honest! In fact she laughed it off." Izuku reassured her.
Wait-actually, why wasn't she worried? Izuku wondered to himself, after all, he was the one who got bit!
"Thanks. Look, I'm really sorry about earlier, it's just..." she looked away as she grabbed her arm.
"Ah, I-I understand," Izuku said, he was still flustered due to talking to a girl in a secluded spot, but he still felt guilty evoking such a reaction from her, "it was your quirk, right?"
She twitched at that.
"I-well, I know what it's like not having control of your quirk," Izuku continued as he looked away and rubbed the back of his neck. Though in his case it was understandable, it didn't feel good to admit. "My quirk hurts my body when I use it, I...I broke my limbs the last time I used it."
"EH?" He glanced at the girl to see her astonished face, her eyes looking him up and down.
"I-it happened a while ago," he explained as he looked away.
"Still...um, le-let me make it up to you!" She suddenly said.
"Huh?" Izuku let out in surprise.
Izuku had no idea how this happened.
"WOW! This looks great!" The pinkette marveled at the food. Earlier she had marveled at the cafeteria room in a similar way. It honestly wasn't bad.
It was old and you could tell, but it worked to its favor. It was both rustic and cozy, it also helped that everything was clean and so well maintained. It was less of a cafeteria and more a luxury eatery from a forgotten time. Not that it mattered.
No, what did matter was that he was getting lunch with a girl. He was standing right next to a girl, getting lunch, and he was going to eat with her. He was holding a tray with rice, fried pork cutlet, veggies, and a small bowl of miso soup, and he was about to eat with a girl. To say that he was out of his depth was an understatement. To add to that...he could feel it…the glares….
Aside from Bakugo, no one really glared at him. Everyone had always looked at him with disgust and utter contempt for being quirkless. To them, he was a gross thing that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Bakugo being angry, that was nothing new….but whole a group of guys glaring daggers at him…that too was something Izuku had no idea how to deal with.
Unfortunately the two exceedingly new situations didn't cancel out the anxiety they each caused, but he somehow managed to keep it together. Though how long that would last was anyone's guess.
"Hmm...hey where should we sit?" She asked as the two approached the register with their trays. She had her backpack on her, similar to Izuku carrying his backpack and carry one, leaving him one hand to hold his tray.
"I…." Izuku began, trying to take his mind off glares being sent his way. He was failing at it. "I don't know," he finally managed.
"Hm...well we can always figure it out later," she said optimistically as the two walked up to the cash register.
"Ah-um-look, you really don't have to," Izuku told her. He felt really embarrassed that she was buying him lunch, nothing machismo, it just made him feel really guilty to have another person pay for his meal.
"No, I kinda do, because of what I did earlier. This is the least I could do," she said apologetically as she pulled out her wallet. She opened it up. Then she blanched a little.
"Mm," Izuku noticed her reaction.
"Wh-where did all this money come from," Izuku heard her mutter in utter horror.
More money than she realized? Wouldn't that normally be a good thing? Izuku wondered to himself. He felt like asking, but he politely kept it to himself.
Despite how unnerved she was, she quickly bought their meals.
The two quickly ambled out of the line and began to look for a spot to sit dow. That was when Izuku noticed Tsukune sitting by himself.
"Oh! Tsukune," Izuku called out. Said boy twitched at being called and got a really sheepish look.
"Oh...hey…. Look Izuku, your nice and all, but-" Whatever Tsukune was about to say quickly disappeared when he saw the pinquette.
"Ah, do you mind if we sit here," the pink haired girl asked.
"YES! PLEASE GO HEAD." Tsukune said awkwardly with a slightly flushed face as he stood up. Izuku had a feeling on why he was excited but he decided not to comment.
"Oh, thank you!" The pinquette beside him said as the two sat down on the table.
She sat on one side of the table and Izuku sat on the other side, right beside Tsukune. He would have sat next to the girl but, he was eating lunch with a girl already! Thankfully the two weren't alone anymore, but sitting next to a girl was still too much!
"Oh, I just remembered," the pinquette spoke up, "I never introduced myself, have I?"
"Ah," Izuku let out, realizing he didn't either. "Right, same here," Izuku said while rubbing the back of his head in a sheepish manner.
"AH! My name is Tsukune Aono! It's a pl-pleasure to meet you," Tsukune quickly said.
"Oh, likewise, my name is Moka Akashiya," Moka introduced herself.
"Ah, um, I'm Izuku Midoriya, it's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too, Midoriya," Moka said with a soft smile. "So, are you and Aono close friends?"
"Ah well..." Tsukune wrestled with the answer.
"We kinda just met," Izuku sheepishly admitted.
"Eh, really? But you two use each other's given name," Moka said in light astonishment.
"Eh, that's more my fault," Tsukune admitted, "I'm not really that formal."
"I sort of went along with it," Izuku said with a shrug.
"Oh, well, in that case, you two can call me Moka," she said with a bright smile.
"...okay," both boys let out with small smiles and lightly rose-colored faces...that quickly blanched.
Behind Moka was a gaggle of students, mainly boys, in all shapes and sizes glaring daggers at the two.
One even took his butter knife and stabbed it into his own neck! He changed the grip and drew a line on his neck that quickly patched itself (no doubt a quirk). The message was more than clear.
"I hope we get along great!" Moka said in a cheery tone, happily unaware of what troubled the two boys.
