TOO LATE...

- Seven.

The radiant sun took its time to hide, its rays barely touching their faces, revealing the contrast between the blue and green of their eyes.

In the middle of the great gardens of the Mikaelson mansion, with folded hands, facing the gazes of all the guests, each one looked at each other with intensity.

Do you, Niklaus, take this woman as your rightful wife, in health and disease, in wealth and poverty, in good and bad, promising to protect, love and respect her, until death do them part?

"I do..." Klaus was the first to speak the words. Bonnie blinked and looked down reassessing her decision, but it was too late.

Immersed in her thoughts, the priest insisted for the third time,

Do you, Bonnie?

Bonnie raised her face, unaware of the question.

Klaus squeezed her hands to speed up her response.

Finally, with a shaky sigh, she whispered loud enough to be heard… "I do..."

So, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has united, let no one separate.

I declare them husband and wife...

You can kiss the bride...

Wasting no time, Klaus lowered his face.

Bonnie barely managed to process everything. Unable to stop him, Klaus touched his lips for the first time.

With a simple kiss, Niklaus and Bonnie formalized the alliance between their families.

An hour before...

In a room that was not hers, surrounded by people she did not know.

Bonnie was in complete silence, in front of a big mirror, looking at her dress.

With a romantic, mermaid-cut effect, the dress had an air of nostalgia for the delicate embroidered details, long sleeves stylized the design, with an exquisite neckline that left the entire back exposed. The narrow size allowed the skirt to open with a slight movement, lengthening visually, and helping to balance the voluptuousness of her figure, adequately accentuating her curves.

The final concept of the combination, between the dress, the makeup and the simple styling of her hair, symbolizes the dramatic simplicity of elegance.

Without a doubt, Bonnie Bennett was the definition of a perfect bride.

It was beautiful, she thought with a smile, until the reality together with the doubt hit her.

What was I doing? She reproached herself.

Bonnie hurried out of the room, avoiding everyone around her. With brisk steps, Bonnie tried to run, but her dress kept her from going any faster. After opening some doors. She finally found him.

Bonnie took a deep breath when she saw him.

"We have to talk..." she said swallowing hard.

Everyone in the room looked at the bride in fascination, including Niklaus, who took time to appreciate his future wife.

"Please leave us alone for a moment."

Elijah was the first to leave, but not without greeting the bride. Putting a kiss on her hand.

"You look absolutely beautiful, Bonnie." making her blush.

Mischievously, Kol looked Bonnie up and down.

"If you don't want to marry my brother, I'm next in line, I assure you I'm a thousand times better than Klaus..." Kol said with a wink, earning himself a slap from Finn in the head.

"Shut up Kol!" Finn looked at Bonnie, apologetically.

"What my brother wants to say is that Klaus is a lucky man."

Finn turned to Niklaus and nodded, closing the doors behind him. With That, Bonnie was left alone with Klaus, who was not wearing a shirt, exposing his entire chest.

"It must be something important to test our luck, love."

Niklaus commented, trying to resist the urge to keep looking at her.

She looked beautiful in that dress.

Bonnie walked away from him, giving him more space for him to get dressed. With a little hesitation.

"I know it is too late to reconsider our options, but..." pausing a little. "We still have time."

"Time for...?"

"To reject this marriage!"

Bonnie said, clenching her hands on her dress, waiting for Klaus's opinion, but he didn't say anything.

"Why are we doing this Niklaus? I mean, we've already planned a divorce before we even got married."

Bonnie blinked a bit before continuing.

"I don't even know why I agreed, but before I agreed, I demanded a guarantee clause, and my grandmother agreed with that..." She was nervous.

Klaus stopped putting on his shirt for a moment upon hearing those words, Bonnie was the one who had placed that clause...

Bonnie continued speaking over her shoulder.

"I'm sure that you, will use that same clause to file for a divorce. So, if we already know this marriage will never work, and we both know how it will end. Why are we continuing with this?"

For a moment Niklaus said nothing, cleared his throat.

"Don't you think it's too late to change your mind, love?" He said seriously.

Bonnie turned to him without caring if he was dressed or not, but thank God, he had his shirt on.

She approached Klaus, close enough for him to perceive her perfume, he sniffed noticing the difference.

Bonnie wanted to convince him, this was perhaps their last chance.

"We still have time. We can both stop all of this. We don't have to spend these years together. We don't like each other, but if we support each other, we can come to a mutual agreement without the need for a marriage."

Niklaus ignored Bonnie's arguments. He had decided, and nothing would change his mind. However, he preferred to focus on something else.

She wasn't wearing her usual perfume... and for some reason he didn't like this new scent on her.

"Why are you wearing another perfume?"

Klaus asked suddenly as he buttoned the last button on his shirt, leaving Bonnie confused by the question out of context.

"What...?" She asked exasperated.

Klaus commented casually.

"Your perfume... is not the same as always."

Turning his back to her to see himself in the mirror as he put on his black jacket.

Bonnie shook her head not understanding where he wanted to go with his question.

"What does it matter what perfume I'm wearing? It's just a perfume someone else put on me! and... the point is! Will you marry me?"

Bonnie didn't try to sound like a proposal, but ironically she did.

Klaus looked at her reflection in the mirror.

"yes!"

Was a short answer, but without any meaning to Bonnie.

"Do you want to do this? Do you really want to do it?" She asked closer to him, completely confused, "I don't understand, you said you didn't agree. This is maybe our only chance."

"What can I say...? I've changed my mind, love."

His conversation with Esther made him re-evaluate his own interests. Niklaus turned to get a better look at her.

Bonnie shook her head,

She hated the nickname he gave her.

She hated how calm he was.

She hated the confidence he had.

And She hated that he made her look so desperate to beg him.

Although at first, she agreed to marry him, now, after everything that had happened, Bonnie wasn't sure if it was okay to be with someone who loved another woman.

Looking up once more.

"You are in love with another woman and... you are still willing to continue this charade, why? Is she not important to you?"

Klaus was shocked by Bonnie's accusation, squinting, "In love with another woman?" He approached her annoyed.

Bonnie inadvertently took a few steps back from him.

"yes... Camille..."

Niklaus stopped when he heard her.

"Do you know Camille?" He asked suspiciously, Camille never claimed to know Bonnie.

"Of course I know her!"

Bonnie's voice became much harder as she remembered the things that Camille had told her.

"She herself confessed that she has a relationship with you, that you love her, and not only that, she told me tha - "

Bonnie paused a moment, there was no need for her to tell him everything,

Looking at him again. "Why do you want to continue this? You have no reason to do this, I'm giving you a choice... You can be with her and... I can get on with my life. No one has to get hurt!"

Bonnie was honest, she didn't want to be the one to blame for anyone's suffering.

Niklaus was upset, apparently Camille knew Bonnie more than she admitted to him. Putting that thought aside, Klaus looked at Bonnie once more. The whole conversation began to irritate him.

"In a few minutes you will be my wife Bonnie. I advise you to get used to it."

He gave no answer other than that, as he adjusted the sleeves of his suit.

Bonnie was silent, maybe this was their only chance to get out of this situation, but he really wanted to do this. She thought angrily.

Niklaus approached the door to open it.

"It is a bad omen to see the bride before the wedding... so let's not temp our luck anymore, love..." he smiled.

Bonnie was angry, she had come hoping to convince him, but realized that she was being naive in believing that she could come to terms with him.

She wasn't going to beg him anymore.

She hid her frustration very well, walking slowly towards the door.

"Okay Niklaus... Do you want to do this...? Then we will, I just hope you do not regret it in the end..." Before leaving the room, she smiled at him the same way.

"Unlike you... I have nothing to lose."

"We'll see that... Bonnie." Klaus thought angrily.

Walking through the immense Mikaelson property. Bonnie considered for a moment the few options she had.

But it was too late. There was nothing to consider.

If Niklaus doesn't care, neither does she!

She thought annoyed, but Bonnie was nervous.

"There you are, Bonnie." Esther said, taking Bonnie by surprise.

Esther looked at her smiling sweetly.

"Everyone is looking for you!"

She wasn't accusing her of anything. Esther was friendly enough, but Bonnie didn't reply. Esther was not offended, she realized that Bonnie was too reserved and did not easily trust people.

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" She asked, and Bonnie nodded

"Can I?" Esther asked again, taking her arm to walk beside her.

From the expression on her face, Esther guessed that Bonnie was hesitating.

"You must be nervous, and it's normal, my son Finn and Sage were nervous on their wedding day too. Like you, they didn't want to get married either..."

Esther waited for Bonnie's reaction, but said nothing and she kept talking.

"However, the marriage worked for them. I'm sure it will work for you and Niklaus."

Bonnie swallowed and nodded without saying anything.

"Klaus is usually a bit impulsive and maybe a bit arrogant, but he's a good man."

Bonnie's silence irritated her, but Esther just smiled.

"What I mean is that we are honored that you are part of this family, Bonnie. I know I can't replace your mother, but you can count on me as one. If you're comfortable with that? Of course."

Esther spoke in a loving tone, she had to play her cards well if she wanted to achieve her goals.

Bonnie couldn't help but feel a little suspicious, but she smiled warily. "Thank you..."

"B...? There you are... They haven't finished grooming you yet, where were you?" Lucy yelled when she saw her cousin next to Esther.

"Mrs. Esther..." Lucy greeted with a suspicious look.

"Oh no dear, just call me Esther, you too Bonnie..."

Esther was very clever in gaining the trust of people, and that's what she would do with Bennett women.

Looking at Bonnie.

"Now go with your cousin, they need to touch up your makeup. Today, the bride must be the most beautiful woman, the next time we meet you will be part of this Family, sweetheart..."

Esther gave Bonnie a fake kiss motherly, and walked away.

Lucy walked around wrapping her arm with Bonnie's.

"Doesn't that woman seem a bit strange to you? There is something about her that I don't like."

Lucy asked, looking back to see Esther disappear into the hallways,

Bonnie did not answer, but shared the same sentiment of Lucy, Bennett's magical intuition, as her grandmother used to call it.

Lucy turned to her cousin.

"You still have the opportunity to flee, I have contacts in Spain and the Caribbean, if you want we can disappear right now, just choose the place and I'll book the first flight there."

Lucy joked with some seriousness in her words.

Bonnie smiled wistfully.

"maybe in a few years, if your proposal still stands, I'll agree to travel with you far from here. What do you think of that? Will you wait for me?"

Lucy grimaced.

"Why wait that long? whatever... the beaches in the Caribbean and in Spain are great at this time of year, but I guess I'll have to wait for you!"

Bonnie smiled again.

"What would I do without you Lucinda Bennett?"

Lucy opened her eyes when she Heard her name.

"Don't call me that!" giving her a little push.

At present...

"I do..." Bonnie replied.

"So, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has united, let no one separate. I declare them husband and wife... You can kiss the bride..." ordered the priest.

Sheila and Mikael looked at each other and nodded at the same time.

It was already done.

Bonnie had become a Mikaelson.

Sheila let out a sigh that she didn't know she was holding.

"I trust my granddaughter's safety will be guaranteed." she spoke silently without looking him in the eye.

Mikael nodded seriously focusing on the new couple.

"Sheila, I assure you that if someone dares to lift a single finger to hurt Bonnie, they will not live to tell about it."

Mikael looked Sheila in the eye.

"As of today, no one... will hurt your granddaughter again. I give you my word."

Sheila nodded, feeling a bit nervous, but she was sure that Mikael would keep his word and keep Bonnie safe from the cruelty of that monster.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. and Mrs. Mikaelson.

I found a love for me
Darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were
The someone waiting for me
Because we were just kids
When we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
But darling, just kiss me slow
Your heart is all I own
And in your eyes you're holding mine...

In the center of the dance floor.

Bonnie walked with the help of Klaus. He took her hand, wrapping his arm around her waist, with a light touch, his fingers brushing the small of her back, making her skin crawl.

With the little space between the two, Niklaus sensed his wife's hesitation. Bonnie tried to keep her distance, but it was useless, the two were very close.

Bonnie closed her eyes, with a deep breath, she found the courage to hold onto Niklaus,

"Relax..."

Was the only thing Klaus said to her before starting the dance.

To the beat of the music, the waltz started slow.

Bonnie's slight movements allowed Klaus to guide more easily. Swaying around the dance floor, Bonnie didn't realize how clinging she was to Klaus until he pulled away to turn her around and bring her back into his arms.

"Don't do that again!" Bonnie ordered a bit scared, clinging closer to him. Klaus observed amused, "It's just a waltz Bonnie... it's okay..." he assured her nonchalantly.

But Bonnie was always very sensitive and the intimacy she now shared with him terrified her. She knew she shouldn't give importance to something so superficial, but she couldn't help being emotional.

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark
With you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass
Listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess
I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling
You look perfect tonight...

Despite her negativity, Klaus tried again to turn around, taking her by surprise, but Bonnie stopped him.

"We have to dance Bonnie!" he insisted, trying to get away, but Bonnie kept clinging to him until Klaus noticed her slight trembling.

Bonnie kept her eyes closed trying to calm her nerves. Klaus understood what was happening to her and cradled her in his arms.

"Everything will be fine, Love..." he was worried.

Trying to calm her down, Klaus dared to move his hand to make contact with her skin. Bonnie's body shuddered as Klaus's fingers brushed her bare back.

The intimacy of his touch made Bonnie rest her head on his chest. With a sigh, Bonnie reluctantly accepted his comfort.

Well I found a woman
Stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams
I hope that someday I'll share her home
I found a love
To carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our own
We are still kids, but we're so in love
Fighting against all odds
I know we'll be alright this time
Darling, just hold my hand
Be my girl, I'll be your man
I see my future in your eyes...

Bonnie smiled bitterly. Klaus was comforting her again, although he made her feel safe in his arms, Bonnie needed to get away from him.

As a way of putting a boundary between the two, Bonnie blamed him for this whole situation, suppressing a groan, she whispered knowing that only he would hear her.

"I hate you…" -but it wasn't true.-

Bonnie tried to control the urge to cry, but it was too late, her tears wetting Niklaus's shirt, and she hugged him tighter.

"I know…" Klaus replied, accepting his hug gently. Her fragility captivated and at the same time worried him.

This time, Klaus didn't force her to turn, his chin touched her forehead. Niklaus gave her a small kiss on the temple tenderly. He wiped away her tears, and he focused on those big green eyes. In that fleeting moment, nothing else existed, and nothing else mattered...

A moment of complicity between the two.

Niklaus had no choice but to pull away from her to snap out of his delirium and control his impulses.

Bonnie looked away as Klaus rocked her in one smooth motion. Bonnie stopped shaking, waiting to return to his arms, just with that thought She let herself be carried away by him again, while the melody continued.

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark
With you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass
Listening to our favorite song
When I saw you in that dress
Looking so beautiful
I don't deserve this, darling
You look perfect tonight...

Back in his arms, Bonnie and Klaus were enveloped by the complicity that slowly grew silently within the two of them, threatening to disorient them in the near future.

Klaus's experience screamed at her to stop, while Bonnie's innocence washed over her with extreme curiosity. Despite all their reasons for stopping, neither of them did.

Bonnie wrapped her arms around Klaus's neck. At the same time, Niklaus dropped his face, slowly brushing the base of her neck with the tip of his nose

Klaus debated whether to continue or not. He waited for her to stop him, but she didn't. Klaus gulped, clenching her hips with his hands as a warning for her to stop him. He needed to stop, but before he did, Bonnie made a dangerous move.

For his defense, Niklaus resisted as much as he could. But it was too tempting to stop. He couldn't help it. He was a lost and bewitched man.

Klaus concentrated on the faint floral scent of tuberose still lingering on his skin, and ignored the new scent that invaded Bonnie's neck. Like a desperate wolf, he searched under the strange perfume for her fragrance, until he found it. Her true essence... the scent he had secretly kept in his memory...

"tuberose flowers..."

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark
With you between my arms
Barefoot in the grass
Listening to our favorite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
And she looks perfect
No, I don't deserve this
You look perfect tonight...

Bonnie refocused her attention on the melody. She forgot everything that tormented her. Now taking refuge in the arms of Klaus without putting up any resistance. Bonnie gave her husband all the power and confidence to get close to her.

Bonnie inclined her head innocently to give her more access to her search. Unaware that that small movement prompted Klaus's most carnal desires. Entangled in his arms, Bonnie closed her eyes as she let Niklaus's lips lightly brush her skin.

The impending attraction completely clouded their judgment. They both forgot about the looks and the whispers. They both became more intimate, like a true newlywed couple. The background music allowed the dance to slow down, until her feet stopped moving. Just the melody between their bodies with a slight sway.

Niklaus was carried away by his impulses. Blinded by the scent of her skin, he moved his head further and his lips sought hers. Klaus found her lips, like a lost child who found his home. Niklaus kissed her slowly and gently. He hadn't realized how much he wanted to kiss her until now. The cold on her lips gave it a sweet taste and Klaus took her time savoring them.

Unable to stop his desires, Niklaus bit down on Bonnie's lip with light pressure causing her to suppress a moan as he devoured her mouth, but the moan escaped involuntarily, causing Klaus to deepen the kiss with more frenzy.

He took advantage of every second that Bonnie gave him. Afraid that she would stop him, Klaus kissed her like a starving man.

Bonnie felt all of Niklaus's desire on her lips. She never imagined that he would kiss her in such an intimate way. Unable to stop him, Bonnie let Klaus possess her mouth brazenly.

In the emotion of the moment, her tears had dried. The salinity on her lips was nothing more than the warm taste of Klaus's lips, and although she wouldn't admit it, Bonnie enjoyed it. Aware that the kiss was something physical. Bonnie, like him, was afraid that the kiss would end. She wanted to be selfish for the first time. Regardless of the consequences, she would take all the urgency he gave her in that kiss and treasure it to the end. That would be the price, a wild kiss full of so much passion.

But Klaus also gained something from her, Bonnie unconsciously made him master of her kisses. Klaus didn't realize that no one else had had that privilege by allowing him to kiss her like he did.

The applause brought them back to reality. They both parted panting. So close to each other. Only a few seconds later they both looked at each other with the same complicity.

Bonnie was the first to react, noticing the hungry look in Klaus's eyes. She wanted to get away, but he didn't let her. Keeping his possessive arm around her waist, Klaus kept Bonnie close to him.

Niklaus was hypnotized, it took a little longer for him to realize the possessive behavior he was having with her.

The fear in Bonnie's eyes made him consider his actions. Niklaus gave her space, but didn't let her go completely. Klaus didn't want to scare her, but he didn't want to get away from her. Not yet.

Niklaus found himself in conflict. Only until his gaze was lost in the crowd did he notice the woman hiding behind the columns of the great hall. At that moment Klaus realized that he had made a serious mistake.

"Camille..."
