A/N So I am now invested in my story. I sat down after a day of not writing and BANG! The longest chapter yet! I didn't know I could do it but here it is. Enjoy Planks mischief! By the way, I chose Sullust because I wrote it after I played battlefront and failed miserably with my dad. Literally, we beat it on hard, finally, but when it's set to Master...

"I told you, I'm Crushers pen pal!"

Zen raised a calm eyebrow, "Really?"

Eavs nodded vigorously, "Yes, and after training, I'll even introduce you to him!"

Zen sighed, "Well I guess I can't doubt you then."

"Nope!" Eavs said cheerfully, "I heard they are in the training hall currently."

"How do you hear these things? I was with you the whole time!"

Eavs gave him a mysterious wink and rushed ahead of him, forcing him to run to catch up. They walked in the training room to see a battle going on between Commander Wolffe and the Commander of XYZ.

"If Crusher told me the truth, I bet XYZ's Commander will win," Eavs whispered as they watched from the side.

Zen snorted quietly, "Wolffe all the way."

In a few seconds, Wolffe was on the floor.

"Ha!" Eavs said triumphantly.

"He never stays down though," Zen pointed out calmly.

As if on cue, Wolffe jumped up. This happened twice more.

"And there, my brother, is the Commanders victory," Eavs made no attempt to hide his victory dance.

Zen rolled his eyes playfully, then stood up, "Look, one of the other members of XYZ has challenged their Commander."

"That would be Sly," Eavs said matter-of-factly, "He specializes in hand-to-hand combat."

"Well what does the Commander specialize in?"

"Hm," Eavs looked stumped for a second," Crusher never said. Maybe he doesn't know."

"Let's go watch, we can see how good XYZ really are."

Eavs grins, "Yes, and how much help they'll actually be on Sullust."

They gather around the mat, along with some other troopers, to watch the spar. They could barely keep up with their movements. Each one was precise and perfect, made to end the battle swiftly. Each seemed to know how to defend themselves perfectly as well.

"Wow!" Zen said, impressed, "These guys CANNOT be shinies."

"Well you better believe it," Eavs said, just as awed.

Then Zen shook his head lightly, "How in the Galaxy did Plank get let in? He can't aim or even WALK straight."

"Crusher knows him," Eavs said, eyes still locked on the fight," He says that Plank is nothing like he was two months ago."

Zen snorted as memories of the trooper came back, "I'll have to see it to believe it."

They watched in silence as they fought, then, after five consecutive minutes they finished, with the Commander on the floor.

"One day," He said, "I will beat you."

Sly smirked, "Not a chance Commander."

The Commander got up and walked back to where the other members were lounging against the wall.

"So," Eavs said, squirming a bit, "Do we just go up to them?"

Zen raised an eyebrow, "I thought you knew him."

"I do," Eavs said defensively, "I just...They're so good! They probably don't want to talk to us..."

Zen was tempted to laugh. Eavs was a fan of them!

"Well let's go," Zen said, making his way over there.

Eavs gasped and looked around as if waiting for someone to tell them off. He looked at Zen then fast-walked to catch up with them.

The Commander noticed them coming and said something to the group.

"Bad idea," Eavs whispered to Zen.

"Maybe." Was his only reply.

...

Plank rejoined his brothers after the match.

"I am surprised," Sly said," You know, I never asked, what are you trained in?"

Plank blinked at the unexpected question,"...I guess I'm trained to get the job done. I know tactics, leadership, and the basics of about everything. Besides sniping," He added as an afterthought.

They mulled on this for a second, then Plank spotted his batchmates coming over to them. Eavs looked nervous and Zen looked calm as ever.

"Those are my batchmates, Zen and Eavs," He said gesturing to them lightly.

Crusher nonchalantly glanced at the oncoming troopers.

"I'm excited to meet Eavs."

Plank grinned as a sudden idea came to him, "Do me a favour guys and don't tell them who I am."

A grin slowly spread across Crushers face as understanding hit him.

"Yeah sure sure."

Plank fixed him with a glare that, though he still had his helmet on, made

Crusher turn away innocently.

"We won't tell them a single thing," Sly promised.

I'm going to regret this...

As they came up to them, Crusher grinned, "Hey Eavs, nice to see you in person."

Eavs looked surprised that he talked to him, "Yeah, nice to meet you as well, Crusher."

Then Zen spoke up, "Do you know a trooper named Plank? He's one of our batchmates."

Crushers grin widened, "Yeah, we do know him, he's an interesting character."

Plank almost facepalmed...he should have known. But this at least should be interesting.

"Interesting to say the least," Zen said matter-of-factly, "Accidental would be putting it kindly."

Sly chuckled, "What's the worst thing he did?"

Eavs piped up, only too happy to share, "I think that it was the time he took out Zen, Licks and I in a training exercise."

Sly exchanged a knowing look with everyone.

"Yes, on one occasion when he was distracted during a training run, he accidentally shot me."

Zen laughed, "That sounds exactly like him."

"He was the most clumsy trooper you could imagine, "Eavs said, shaking his head, "We nicknamed him Plank because of his inability to walk in a straight line."

By then, Sly was laughing his head off.

"Though now that I think about it," Zen said laughingly, "I should have called him Bean."

Now everyone was laughing.

"That is too true," Eavs said between laughs," Plank is a bean."

Even Plank was chuckling. Eavs looked pleased at himself for making him laugh.

"It sounds like you had some good times with him." Plank finally spoke.

Zen straightened and Eavs did as well.

"Yes we did Sir. He's a good person." Eavs said seriously.

Plank smiled gently, "You don't have to call me Sir."

Zen frowned slightly,"Sir?"

This will be fun...

He took off his helmet, Eavs and Zen's mouths dropped open.

"P-Plank?" Zen said, in one of the few times he was actually shocked.

Plank grinned mischievously,"Hello brothers."

Eavs humphed, eyes wide," Nope. No way. Impossible. YOU'RE the commander!?"

"Yup. I am now Commander Plank."

Eavs laughed disbelievingly.

Plank laughed as well, he was enjoying this IMMENSELY!

"Ok ok." Zen said, trying to wrap his head around it, "You once were a clutz and now you are Commander! I can't believe it!"

Plank laughed and was about to say some witty remark when the coming-out-of-hyperspace alarm went off.

"We have to go now, I'll see you on the field." Plank nodded to his batchmates and headed off with his team in tow.

It was obvious that they were still in awe. If Plank wasn't now in his Commander mindset, he'd still be laughing.

...

"Head to transport ship four and head to point 23543 North-west." Wolffe nodded to the ship, "Destroy any droids you see and take the base. You'll be going alone. The 212th will be in the Southern hemisphere, we'll be in the North. Once you've taken the base your pilot will take you to help us. Got it?"

Plank nodded, "Yep, we'll see you down there*

Wolffe nodded again.

They boarded the transport and performed their usual rituals. Which was only cleaning their blasters as they didn't actually have enough time to think up new ones as shinies.

"Commander, my names Glider and I'll be your pilot today. Welcome aboard the Slicer."

Plank laughed at his playful tone.

"Thanks Glider, ready for whatever Sullust throws at us?"

"Well, I'm only a pilot so the sky is all I have to worry about."

"Well stay safe anyways."

"Thanks, Commander."

They took off in silence, preparing for the fight ahead.

...

Glider eased the ship down onto the volcanic, igneous rock. XYZ was a legend. Their Commander was rumoured to have fought a diagona on his first mission. They seemed like nice guys, professional yet playful. He leaned over and turned on his comlink.

"Ok Commander, we're here, good luck!"

"Thanks Glider, we'll call you in when we're done here."

"Yes Sir."

He felt the shudder of the ship as they jumped to the ground. Glider takes off, spinning around. Suddenly he thought back to the other rumours that surrounded the group. Were they really true? Maybe...he thought mischievously. He spun the ship around, just to check if they were doing alright.

"Woah." He said in awe.

XYZ was cutting through the waves of droids quicker than he thought possible. A sniper was on a raised rock taking out droids in milliseconds. Two troopers were flitting between the ranks of the droids, taking them out while they were invisible. The most impressive though, was their commander. The was weaving through the blaster bolts like it was nobody's business.

He finished his lap and he was unable to see them anymore. But he was sure that he'd see them soon.

...

Plank weaved through the bullets with surprising ease. He was hyperaware of his surroundings.

"Crusher! To your right!"

Crusher swung his heavy repeater blaster around and laughed as the droids scarpered.

In a few moments, the immediate danger was over.

"Ok," Plank looked around and sighed, "Where's Camo and Sly?"

He felt them come up behind him.

"We're here." Sly said, chuckling as Snipe and Crusher jumped, "We found the lava."

Plank's curiosity was stirred but he had to be a good Commander, "Stay AWAY from the lava. I'm pretty sure our armour isn't lava-proof."

"Come on Plank!" Camo whined gently, "I've never seen lava before."

Plank was tempted to. They all had a special fondness for their little brother.

"We finish the mission, then you can see as much lava as you like."

That at least seemed to satisfy him, "Ok then. Sly and I will go ahead, keep low to the ground."

Plank nodded, his team's members were just as skilled as he was so he didn't mind getting orders.

They stayed low, traversing through the black rock terrain.

Plank turned on his comlink, "Can you see where the droids are?"

"Yup," Sly's voice," Mark 234 and 532 are where they are grouping."

"Also 3454." Camo pitched in.

Plank nodded, gesturing a hand signal to Snipe. He nodded and turned around to climb atop a large rock. He also signalled Crusher, he was to draw their fire. Then he smiled.

"Let's do... attack variation 92."

He could almost hear them grinning.

"Yes Sir."

He mover around a rock to point 234 and waited. In a few seconds, there was a weird noise and all the droids turned. Plank was tempted to laugh, Crusher was doing cartwheels and handstands, drawing their attention.

"What is that Clone doing?" The commanding droid said, utterly confused.

"Dancing?" One of the other droids suggested.

"Gymnastics?" Yet another said.

Plank jumped out of his cover, blasting the Commanding droid, "Nope. He's distracting."

"Clone! Fire!"

Plank wove his way through the ranks destroying this particular gathering of droids. Sly and Camo were no doubt working on positions 523 and 3454.

Soon he looked on, in satisfaction, at the droids littering the floor.

"Almost done over there?" He said into the comlink.

"I've cleared 523 so we're good here. By the way, the distraction was very distracting Crusher, I'm impressed." Camo's voice came.

"Thanks, little vod."

"I've cleared 3454. We ready to take the base?" Sly said, enthusiastically.

Plank grinned, "Yeah we are. I was thinking we just charged it."

"Yessssssssss!" Crusher said excitedly, "Let's do it!"

"So just charge, roll with it. Do as you please." Plank said nonchalantly.

He hanged up and bolted to the base, jumping over scalding lava. When he got there, the others were already fending off the droids.

"Hey!" Plank called as he joined the fray, "Leave me some!"

Sly laughed, "Not a chance!"

There weren't as many droids as they would have liked, but that was good. They made it inside without trouble.

"Camo, make sure the systems weren't sabotaged."

Camo turned to the central computer and pulled out a datapad and got to work.

"The systems are fine, everything's normal."

"Perfect." Plank smiled. Everything had gone as planned."I'll call Glider to pick us up."

He nodded and Plank turned on his Comlink.

"Glider here Commander, what do you need?"

"We've got control of the base and are ready for a pickup."

"Already?" Gliders surprised voice came, "It's been less than an hour!"

"Yup. Droids have been cleared."

"Ok Commander, I'll be there in 10."

Plank turned back to his brothers who were looking around the base with enthusiasm.

"Pleaseeeee Plank," Camo said, removing his helmet, "Can I see the lava now?"

Plank sighed fondly.

"Ok, we need to wait outside anyways."

Camo did a little jump and replaced his helmet, rushing out. Camo was only eight compared to everyone else who was ten. He was pretty cute, a kid in an adults body really. Even then, Camo looked a lot younger than the others. They hardly ever refused him anything, unless it was dangerous. Camo had grown fond of Crusher, who reciprocated it, they were near inseparable now. It was adorable.

"Come on," Plank gestured to the others, who replaced their helmets and went to watch Camo.

"Wow!" Camo said, clearly mesmerised at the churning magma, "I want to touch it, but I won't." He said it as if he was convincing himself.

"Um-hm," Crusher said sternly,"There will be only looking from you."

Camo raised his hands, then went back to staring at it, "I know."

They waited until Glider came and set down the ship, the Camo was reluctantly drawn away from the lava.

"It's just so cool." Camo said as he was drawn away.

"Nope," Glider said playfully, from the speakers" It's boiling hot."

Plank rolled his eyes.

Glider took off, leaving Camo's lava behind them.

"By the way, Commander Wolffe left a message for you, Commander."

"You can just call me Plank, Glider, if you want."

There was a second of silence.

"Ok Plank. The message should be on your datapad."

He opened in and Wolffe appeared on the screen. He appeared to be in the middle of a heated battle.

"I don't expect you to be done soon, but when you are, we could use your help down here. We've been ambushed and we're short on medics. Come to these coordinates and hurry."

There was silence for a second as they processed this information.

"When was this sent?" Plank asked Glider.

"A few seconds ago Plank. We'll get there as fast as we can."

"Good."

They sat in tense silence. The first part of this mission had been a breeze but Plank had a feeling it just got a lot harder.
