Hello, sorry for the wait,
I mean I took your advice and corrected the previous chapters. I don't know if the time I dedicated to them has been enough to achieve an improvement, I hope so! As you know, English is not my strength, but I do the best I can.
So keep reading and sorry for any mistake.
TOO LATE...
- Eight
The applause brought them back to reality. They both parted panting. So close to each other. Only a few seconds later they both looked at each other with the same complicity.
Bonnie was the first to react, noticing the hungry look in Klaus's eyes. She wanted to get away, but he didn't let her. Keeping his possessive arm around her waist, Klaus kept Bonnie close to him.
Niklaus was hypnotized, it took a little longer for him to realize the possessive behavior he was having with her.
The fear in Bonnie's eyes made him consider his actions. Niklaus gave her space, but didn't let her go completely. Klaus didn't want to scare her, but he didn't want to get away from her. Not yet.
Niklaus found himself in conflict. Only until his gaze was lost in the crowd did he notice the woman hiding behind the columns of the great hall. At that moment Klaus realized that he had made a serious mistake.
Camille...
"What?" Bonnie asked confused. He had said a name, but she wasn't sure if she had heard right.
"What did you say?"
Niklaus lowered his face to meet Bonnie's frown. Apparently, he had been thinking aloud and she had heard him.
"Can I dance with my brother?"
Rebekah arrived at the right moment, but neither of them turned to look at her.
Rebekah insisted again, clearing her throat to get her brother's attention.
They both turned to the blonde and forgot the question without answering. Neither of them noticed that people started dancing around them.
Bonnie took the opportunity to slip out of Niklaus' arms.
"Of course..."
And Klaus had no choice but to let his wife go.
Before Klaus said anything to her, Bonnie immediately pulled away from him, only for someone else to stop her in the middle of the track. Mikael asked her for a dance and with a bit of hesitation Bonnie politely accepted, looking over her shoulder to see Klaus dance with her sister, while he didn't take his eyes off her.
In the arms of her father-in-law, Bonnie took a moment to analyze everything that had happened. Niklaus had kissed her and she had kissed him back.
From the look in Klaus's eyes, Bonnie knew that he was just as confused as she was.
The gravity of the situation brought her to reality, Bonnie felt ashamed and confused, the kiss affected her more than she thought.
"Are you feeling okay?" Mikael asked seeing the discomfort in her eyes.
Bonnie looked up and smiled. "Just a little tired, that's all."
Forgetting her confusion for a moment, Bonnie watched the couples dance around her. Her cousin was in Kol's arms, even she saw her grandmother dance and chat with Elijah. But Bonnie didn't see Emily anywhere.
Pretending to search for her sister, Bonnie was disappointed not to see Niklaus on the dance floor. But she noticed a lonely Rebekah heading over to where Elijah and her grandmother were. Bonnie kept looking curiously until the dancing stopped.
Bonnie looked down and realized who had caused the interruption, a little girl with blue eyes. The great resemblance to Klaus revealed her kinship. It was the first time that Bonnie had been so close to her husband's daughter.
Mikael stepped away from Bonnie and leaned over to see his granddaughter.
"Little lady... do you want to dance with your grandfather?"
Hope shook her head, and pointed to a surprised Bonnie.
SIGN LANGUAGE
"I WANT SHE TO COME WITH ME, I WANT TO SHOW HER SOMETHING."
Mikael nodded without suspecting anything.
"what do you want to show her?" He asked again curiously.
SIGN LANGUAGE
"IT'S A GIRLS AFFAIR, I CAN'T TELL YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT A GIRL."
Hope bowed her head and crossed her arms, she wasn't going to give in so easily to her grandfather.
Bonnie felt a bit uncomfortable not knowing exactly what they were talking about.
Mikael smiled at the defiant look in his granddaughter's eyes, he straightened and turned to his daughter-in-law.
"My granddaughter wants you to accompany her, she wants to show you something."
Bonnie looked worried.
"I don't know if I should..." she said looking at Mikael while Hope raised her hand impatiently so that she will agree to accompany her.
Bonnie always avoided having any kind of contact with children.
She wasn't sure if she should have this kind of trust with Klaus' daughter. But Mikael looked at her assuring her that she was fine.
"Don't worry, Hope assured me it's a girl thing." turning to his granddaughter.
"Little lady..."
SIGN LANGUAGE
"BE GOOD TO HER!"
Mikael signaled to warn his granddaughter of any mischief, but Hope did not answer, without waiting for Bonnie's response, Hope took her hand and hurried out.
Hope led Bonnie off the dance floor.
In the outside of the room. They both walked quickly through the corridors. The little girl's urge to carry her away began to intrigue Bonnie.
"Hope, don't go so fast. I can't run in this dress, we can both trip, where are we going?"
But Hope walked faster, until she stopped.
Taking small steps away from Bonnie, Hope peeked around a corner to see down the hall.
Bonnie looked around confused.
"why are we here? What do you want to show me?"
Hope turned to Bonnie and raised her hand to point to the place she wanted Bonnie to see.
Bonnie walked over and looked curiously. Her heart clenched inside her chest, and she snorted angrily. Bonnie didn't say anything to Hope, she just heard her little footsteps rushing away from there.
Completely alone, Bonnie looked at the two people at the end of the hall.
"You are a very clever little one, Hope."
A few minutes before.
Camille watched silently, she didn't know what hurt more, the kiss or the way Klaus was looking at Bonnie. But she stood her ground staring at the scene in front of her. She knew that coming here would be a difficult thing to handle, but Camille was sure that Bonnie would reconsider in the end and not continue with this charade, but things did not turn out as Camille expected.
Now, hidden in the shadows watching the man she loved kiss another woman like Klaus did, it was like feeling a stab in the heart. With tears streaming down her face, Camille was so focused on the couple in the middle of the room that she didn't notice the person next to her.
"How does it feel to see the man you supposedly love to be married to another woman?"
Rebekah was beside her, watching her brother kiss his rightful wife.
Camille stiffened and she quickly wiped away her tears without responding.
Rebekah turned to her angrily.
"What the hell do you think you're doing here? Who the hell let you in?"
"I'm a guest, Rebekah." more calmly Camille replied to her.
She did not tell lies, she had managed to enter the reception without any problem.
Rebekah narrowed her eyes. "I don't believe you, but it doesn't matter." she smirked.
"it must be difficult for you, Camille, to see my brother being with another woman. Now you know what it feels like."
The words were meant to hurt, but Camille didn't give her that satisfaction.
Camille smiled to hide her pain. "Are you still upset that Marcel chose me instead of you? Please, Rebekah, get over it."
Rebekah felt a stab of anger. The expression on her face telling Camille that she had touched a nerve.
Rebekah gulped and addressed her with contempt.
"I am so happy that my brother has taken you out of his life forever. For your own good Camille, stay away from him and above all, stay away from my niece!"
Camille didn't reply.
"I'll let you sink in pain while you watch my brother dance with his beautiful wife, but please make sure you take all your trash before my father sees you, bitch!"
With that Rebekah said goodbye looking at her from above down.
Camille knew well that she couldn't take her warning lightly. With her pride hurt, she turned around ready to go, but at that moment Esther was walking towards her.
Emily stopped looking at the couple to search for her cell phone that had started to vibrate. But before answering, the elbow that she felt on her arm made her look at Lucy for answers.
"They're kissing!" Lucy whispered in surprise.
Forgetting her call. Emily shared the same surprised expression with Lucy.
Neither of them stopped seeing Bonnie in Klaus's arms until a voice caught their attention.
Clearing his throat.
"It is tradition that the relatives are the first to accompany the bride and groom on their first dance." Kol said with a smile as he looked at Emily raising his hand as a formal invitation.
Emily looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm sorry, I have to make a call!" She said quickly showing her phone, "but... I'm sure my cousin will be pleased to accompany you..."
Lucy rolled her eyes as Emily disappeared among the guests. Irritated with her arms crossed for not receiving the invitation first.
"Will you just stand there or will you ask me to dance?"
Kol did not lose her enthusiasm and took Lucy's hand in his.
Emily walked looking for a way out, but she couldn't get that far, someone pulled her by the arm, catching her off guard.
Nailed to the wall without anyone seeing them, Emily forgot the call and kissed her perpetrator deeply, damn it... was the only thought she could formulate, reproaching herself for being so careless.
Although Emily was nervous at first. She dared to trust the selfless treatment He was giving her, but she herself must have realized his farce.
Things with him have never been so easy.
Risking everything she had done to stay away from him. Emily was kissing him madly. Now she knew she had missed him more than she wanted to admit.
He, like her, had missed her too, having her here with him only increased his desire to possess her. He needed to touch her, kiss her, and feel her.
All he thought about was claiming her.
The kiss became demanding and full of lust. It was useless for them to deny it, the two of them still had feelings for each other.
They both ended the kiss when the urge to breathe became necessary.
Breathing the same air, He smiled licking Emily's lips.
Emily gasped in excitement. It only took a few seconds for him to realize her mistake, and without thinking twice Emily pushed him away, but he continued to tease her and he hugged her tightly.
"Finn... please... let's not do this again." Emily said with resignation trying to get away.
Finn touched his forehead to hers.
"I can't let you go this time, Emily..."
"Damn! why do you have to make this so difficult? don't you understand? I don't love you anymore!" Emily yelled at him pushing him hard.
It was a lie that she had made up to get away from him.
Finn was annoyed by her words and pulled her towards him, moderating his strength so as not to hurt her.
"I have let you enjoy your freedom, but that is over, my love." Finn kissed her this time softer and more gentle than before.
Emily accepted the kiss, but she moved a few seconds later.
"I'm with someone else!" she confessed to him.
Finn pulled away a bit. He knew it, he knew everything about her.
"You are mine Emily and you know it. I have been very condescending to you and have given you enough time to think. Like it or not, you belong to me!"
"Do I belong to you? Have you lost your mind? I don't belong to you! And you didn't give me time to think about anything, I left you! you gave me reasons to make that decision, accept it and get away from me! Finn!"
Finn avoided getting upset, but he knew Emily was right, walking away from her, Finn adjusted his suit.
"For Burak's safety... you will end the relationship. Next week we will pick up where we left off. I'll see you in the same place. Don't keep me waiting, my love."
Finn gave Emily an ultimatum and left her alone with her thoughts.
Of course he would threaten her with something like that.
Emily whispered in annoyance.
At the same time.
"Can I dance with my brother?"
Rebekah arrived at the right moment, but neither of them turned to look at her. She insisted again, clearing her throat to get her brother's attention,
They both turned to the blonde and forgot the question without answering. Neither of them noticed the people dancing around them.
Bonnie took the opportunity to slip out of Niklaus' arms.
"Of course..."
And Klaus had no choice but to let his wife go.
Rebekah gave her thanks and began to dance with Klaus. Wasting no time, Rebekah whispered to her brother.
"Camille is here..." she waited for some reaction, but Klaus did not answer.
Rebekah opened her eyes in annoyance.
"You said you broke up with her, I can't believe you brought her here, how did you think to do something like that? If our-" Rebekah immediately accused him.
She was disappointed. But her words made Klaus angry.
"Rebekah, that's enough! I didn't invite her!"
Niklaus was intrigued watching his wife dance with his father.
He had forgotten about Camille for a moment, the kiss disoriented him, but for now, he wouldn't think about it.
First, he needed to resolve Camille's situation.
"I'll talk to Elijah, he'll take care of getting her out of here."
Rebekah knew there was no need to make this a bigger problem than it already was.
"That won't be necessary."
With that Klaus finished the dance, but Rebekah stopped him before he left.
"Niklaus..."
Rebekah was worried about her brother. She knew he was making a terrible mistake.
"She doesn't deserve this!" Rebekah said to him looking in Bonnie's direction.
"Stay out of my business Rebekah!" Klaus ignored his sister's warning and went in search of Camille.
After searching, He found her in the hallways.
Klaus stopped and Camille did the same when she saw him. Klaus ran to her and hugged her tightly, but she tried to pull away from him, shaking her head and hitting him on his chest.
Klaus didn't say anything, what could he say...?
Camille raised her face and looked at him desperately.
"kiss me!" she begged him.
Klaus felt guilty, but at the same time he was upset by her recklessness
"Camille listen to me, you shouldn't be here, why did you come here in the first place?"
"Kiss me first, just kiss me Niklaus!" she demanded of him again, and before he refused, Camille kissed him like there was no tomorrow.
Klaus reluctantly accepted her kiss, but in that instant, a voice was heard in the hall.
Unfortunately for Klaus, his wife was turning around ready to walk away.
Damn it! she saw us.
In the present.
Bonnie didn't get very far, Klaus tugged on her arm.
"Just stop! damn it!".
He was angry, not at Bonnie or Camille, but at himself for letting things get out of hand.
"How dare you? I know it's a sham! but nobody knows! Niklaus!"
Bonnie was breathing heavily.
A few moments ago she dared to think about something stupid. She knew that she could not get carried away by trivial emotions. This was all just a sham, she could not let any of this affect her, but even so, she felt hurt.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know she would be here, you must believe me!" Klaus shared her anguish, he was being sincere.
For some reason Klaus felt the need to explain to her. He wasn't sure how much Bonnie had seen, but from the look in her eyes, Klaus had no doubt that She had seen it all.
Bonnie shook her head ignoring his words.
"I don't care!"
Although she didn't want to feel that way, Bonnie felt betrayed. She was aware that she had no claim on him. Niklaus belonged to another woman, but she didn't care. Bonnie wasn't going to let someone else humiliate her again.
"Let it be clear between us, Niklaus, I will not allow you and Camille to make fun of me! In the time that we are together, you will not make fun of me that way! I don't care if you are in love with her! I gave you an option this afternoon. You had the opportunity to reject this marriage, but you did not!"
Approaching him, Bonnie glared at him.
"You even made me look so desperate to ask you not to-" Bonnie squeezed her eyes.
"Bonnie, listen to me..."
"No! listen to me. You made your own choice. I warned you that you would regret it, but I didn't think you would regret it so quickly!" Bonnie yelled annoyed.
She didn't give him a chance to defend himself.
"Just let me explain..."
Klaus tried to reason with her, but Bonnie wouldn't let him.
"If I remember correctly..."
A step away, Bonnie pointed at him.
"You wanted to be my husband..."
Bonnie looked at him bitterly.
"Then, that's what you will be! From now on, for the next few years you will be my husband! mine and nobody else's!"
Bonnie didn't know where those words came from, but she spoke to him without hesitation.
"And... the least I expect from my husband is respect!"
Before walking away from him, Bonnie threatened him without indulgence.
"By the way, may it be the last time you put a finger on me, love!" she smiled haughtily.
It was her turn to tease him using his own nickname.
However, Niklaus did not allow her to leave, he stopped her by grabbing her elbow.
Angry.
"We haven't finished talking! And if you mean the kiss, I didn't force you to kiss me!"
Klaus said in exasperation completely frustrated at not being able to defend himself against her accusations.
Bonnie looked at her elbow and tried to pull away, but Klaus didn't let go of her.
"Let go of me!" she ordered him with annoyance, but Niklaus insisted on her again.
"If you didn't want me to kiss you, why didn't you stop me?"
Niklaus tilted his head and narrowed his eyes. "Better yet. Why did you kiss me back?"
Bonnie avoided looking him in the eye. She wanted to put as much distance between the two of them as possible, but he pulled her closer to be inches from her face.
In that instant, Klaus realized her hesitation, smiling.
"You liked it!"
It was true, but Bonnie wasn't going to admit it in front of him.
"Of course not! I didn't like it!"
"Face it, you had a chance to stop me and you didn't. Just be clear between us, Bonnie, I didn't force you into anything. You were quite participatory. At no point did I hear you complain. On the contrary, you moaned very well."
Niklaus smiled satisfied at the expression on her face.
Bonnie wanted to slap him, but Klaus's reflexes anticipated the blow and he stopped her.
"You're disgusting!"
The grip was getting stronger and Bonnie started to freak out.
Forcefully, Klaus pulled her closer to him.
"Admit it once and for all! you liked the kiss as much as I did!"
Bonnie opened her eyes at the confession.
Klaus was sure the kiss affected her as much as it did him.
With more calm, Bonnie needed to make him see reason.
"Niklaus, please let me go, you are hurting me!"
Bonnie clenched her teeth trying to get out of his hands, but he just ignored the panic in her eyes.
"Okay, you don't want to admit it, then you'll have to prove me otherwise."
Klaus didn't want to be so violent, but Bonnie's fear only encouraged him more.
Without realizing it, Klaus acted in the wrong way just to prove to himself that he was right.
With the short distance between them, plus Klaus's strong grip, Bonnie couldn't stop him.
Klaus kissed her roughly, nothing compared to the gentle kiss he had given her as they danced.
Bonnie fought with all her might to get away from Niklaus, but his grip was painful and demanding.
At no point did Klaus consider his actions, he lost all control and was carried away by his desire for her. Niklaus paid no attention to the abusive manner of his treatment. He just kissed Bonnie like the desperate man that he was.
It wasn't until He felt her tears that he realized the fatal mistake he had made. Klaus let himself be carried away by his impulses again, but this time in an inappropriate way.
Klaus took advantage of his strength to kiss her without her consent.
"I'm sorry..."
He separated from her anguished when he saw her tears and her bruised lips.
Bonnie's body trembled with fear and anger.
He dared to force her.
Was Bonnie's only thought. In complete silence, she touched her sore lips, Bonnie struggled to stop her tears from spilling. With a shaky sigh, She couldn't allow herself to be weak, not this time.
Klaus tried to get closer to her, but Bonnie raised her hand to prevent him from touching her again.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... I'm really sorry... Bonnie?"
This time, He couldn't stop the impact of the slap.
Niklaus closed his eyes at the burning of her hand on his cheek. He knew he deserved that and more.
"Never ever dare to touch me!"
Niklaus felt all the contempt in her words.
He couldn't blame her, he had gone too far with her.
Tonight everything had been a complete madness for him.
Unable to make any argument in his defense, Niklaus watched his wife walk away from him.
Bonnie hurried off feeling completely angry.
"He's an asshole..." she thought to herself.
Her dress kept her from going any faster, but Bonnie did her best to get away from Niklaus.
Not knowing exactly where she was.
Bonnie had wandered further than she wanted, but the music could still be heard in the background.
With a slight shudder, she wiped her tears away.
Bonnie felt completely alone as the cold breeze shook her entire body.
Outraged, She took time to look at the immense property that would be her home, until a voice scared her.
"I heard someone say that the bride was the most beautiful woman of the night..."
The man began to speak as he walked in her direction.
Bonnie looked up over her shoulder.
"But I had my doubts..." he said with a smile waiting to see her face.
Slowly she turned around. He was there, just a few steps away.
"Until I saw you... and I became a believer..." He smiled at those huge green eyes.
"Damon...?"
Bonnie asked in surprise, and her sadness faded when she saw that smug smile on his face.
"The only one..."
Damon replied, moving closer to Bonnie to bridge the gap between the two.
This time it was Klaus' turn to become a spectator.
His wife was hugging another man enthusiastically.
In assessing the situation, Klaus knew it was unwise to start another fight with her, but obviously, he would have a conversation with Finn about Damon's unexpected visit.
Elijah cleared his throat to stand right next to his brother.
"Is that Damon Salvatore?" he asked curiously.
"yes..."
Elijah nodded and was quick to say.
"I dared to take Camille out. I had someone take her to her apartment."
Klaus looked at him gratefully, he had left Camille in the hallways to look for Bonnie.
"Do you know how she got into the party?" He asked with a frown.
Elijah debated whether to share the information, but he knew that sooner or later Klaus would find out. "apparently it was Marcel."
Niklaus growled, "I see..."
He would speak to Marcel later.
Looking at the couple. "Do you know what the eldest of the Salvatore is doing here?"
Despite how ruthless he had been to Bonnie a few moments ago, Niklaus knew that he had no right to be jealous. However, He didn't like seeing Damon hug Bonnie so familiarly. Something inside him didn't like the idea that Bonnie had any trust with the elder Salvatore.
Although Klaus would not admit it out loud, Elijah knew very well that his brother's possessive side would always give him away.
"I heard Finn tell our father that he is helping to find those responsible for the attack on the wineries." Elijah said looking at his brother this time
Klaus nodded at the information, but he was still annoyed, not by Camille's unexpected intrusion, Marcel's daring or his miserable demeanor. Klaus, although reluctant to accept it, was upset that his wife was hugging another man and from what he noticed, Bonnie seemed to be happy in his arms.
Klaus cleared his throat completely intrigued.
"And by any chance... Do you know what my wife's relationship is with the ex-cop, Brother...?"
Klaus turned to look at Elijah, who shook his head denying any knowledge.
Once again, Niklaus looked at his wife in Damon's arms.
"I guess I'll have to find out." Klaus thought out loud.
To clarify some things;
This story is about the family and how their decisions affect Klonnie! Each member has something to offer and only with time can they intertwine their stories! I'm sorry if it is somewhat tedious to read, or the plot is slow, but if you still like this story and want to continue reading more of it, thank you!
I know the way I describe Bonnie is very fragile. I describe a person who has to deal with the aftermath of trauma. But don't worry, she will get over it.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
