Author's note : it's been...a year. xD dunno if i can still keep going with this story, but...i feel like i have to, at least.
Dojima Residence | Morning | Year 2012
Yu is steadily flipping the sunny-side up egg on the frying pan. It is morning, and the sun is shining its ray through the window. There are many food resources in the fridge at the moment from his shopping with Nanako yeterday, but he is still too tight to get any recipe come into his mind. He feels a bit guilty to Nanako for not cooking any delicious dish she always look forward to. Also, to his uncle. By the time he woke up and stepped downstairs, the car wasn't in the garage anymore, indicating Dojima had already left out of town again, without having any breakfast, not even a cup of tea what Yu had intended to do.
"...Hm? Big Bro...?". Yu looks to his left, and catch Nanako standing in near the stairs, scratching her eyes from just waking up.
He smiles. "Good morning, Nanako."and continues with the cooking. It's almost done, so he takes the nearby plate he prepared.
"...Morning."Nanako replies with a smile, and a yawn. "Is Dad...?"
"Yeah, seems so."he slips the perfectly cooked fried egg onto the plate, and switches off the gas finishing his current routine.
"What did you cook, Big Bro?"Nanako walks slowly toward the table. There are already two pair plates of rice and similar fried egg and three glasses of water ready.
"Just fried eggs, sorry."Yu says feeling ashamed a bit as he puts the plate on the table. "I promise I'll make something for dinner."
"It's okay. I like everything Big Bro makes. They always taste good!"Nanako starts sitting on one of the chair, before noticing that there is one plate extra out of she usually sees.
"It's just fried egg. I'm sure yours are better, Nanako."He says smiling, while remebering the first time he had breakfast in this house when he arrived in Inaba last year. Nanako giggles and then pointing at the extra plate she is staring at.
"Oh right."Yu starts to go upstairs before interrupted by his little cousin.
"Maybe he's still asleep?"she says concerned. Yu sighs and trackbacks to the table.
"You're right. Let's give him a few minutes."he sits on the chair opposite to Nanako and holds the chopsticks.
"Itadakimasu!"Nanako starts.
"Itadakimasu.". Much to Yu's disappointment to have only much too ordinary fried eggs and rice as their first together-breakfast after a while. But still, how can he think of anything after last night? It was too much surprises for day one. He suddenly remembers his partner's words that still ring in his head until now.
"Well, he's stuck with you, I guess."
Author's note : I KNOW! No need to remind me! It's damn short! But that's the least i could do at this time. I'm hoping this is enough to make me motivated, also refresh my mind from all the crazyness that's happened at college. Finally i'm free now, so, i'll start a FIRE again in my mind.
