Chapter 19

The two reached Lugi's, which had been their favorite Italian restaurant for a long time and of course like every true gentlemen does it for his date Gordo let Lizzie enter the restaurant first as he held the door open for her. She couldn't help but blush for a second, as she kind of had to get used to this kind of special treatment from him but on other hand there was nobody else that she would preferred to be together with. Lizzie took a moment to look at the wonderful decorated table before she finally sat down, it all looked so romantic together with the Candles that stood in the middle of the round table and she was impressed and touched by this display at the same time. Patiently waiting for her to take that all in, he stood right next to her for the entire time and after she had found her voice she said: "This looks wonderful Gordo, thank you for making this evening already perfect."

Then she kissed him on his right cheek, then he pulled out the chair for her from under the table and as they both sat down she couldn't help but wonder what other wonderful things Gordo had prepared for her tonight. Then the waiter gave them the menu cards, left them alone again and Gordo asked: "Do you think that Miranda will also find her Mister Right very soon? Because I don't want her to feel like a third wheel with the two us not just being friends anymore but a real couple. Of course Lizzie had given that whole thing a lot of thought since they had started dating each other and so she replied with not much hesitation: "I hope she does, maybe someone at the High School Introduction Event will be her Mister Right and I'll play matchmaker for her if it's necessary. " She knew all too well that Miranda wasn't good with talking around boys, but of course she would never admit it to anyone how shy she was when it came to doing a little bit flirting.

Lizzie then continued to scan through the almost overwhelming big menu card in front of her, but after a while she said: "I think that I'll the Lasagna because I didn't eat one in ages and it sure sounds very yummy." Gordo on other hand still was trying to decide between two meals: the pasta bake and the good old Hawaii Pizza. Being curious about what was else was awaiting her tonight Lizzie looked at with her best puppy dog eyes at Gordo and asked: "Can you give me at least one tiny little hint about what else you've planned tonight?" Gordo put the menu card away for one moment and of course it was pretty hard to say no to these eyes but he didn't budge: "Even if that look on your face is so adorable you have to be patient no matter how hard that maybe is, but let me just say that you will definitely remember this evening for a long time."

Meanwhile Miranda was still thinking about her encounter with Ryan, for her it felt like she was walking on Cloud Nine but she was glad that her mother hadn't noticed that her daughter's behavior was a little bit off because talking about the whole thing would be embarrassing to her.

After she had taken of her chores at home she went up to her room and as she let herself fall on her bed, she wondered how the date between her two best friends would go tonight and she was definitely happy for those two to finally realize their true feelings for each other. But on the other she was also kind of scared that Lizzie and Gordo's relationship would change the dynamic between the three amigos, meaning that the three wouldn't do so many things together anymore as they did before but maybe she was getting a little bit too paranoid right now. Miranda had never been a person who believed in love at first sight, but maybe this was going to change very soon because she had never felt like this before for any guy.

For a moment she looked at the phone number that he had put into her mobile phone just one hour ago and for a second she considered calling him right now, not for a specific reason just because to hear his voice again right at this moment but then she also had to ask herself: What if she didn't get one single word out of her mouth? That would be very embarrassing and she didn't want to make a big fool out of herself.

After considering the pros and cons for several more minutes she decided to not call him tonight, because she figured that going into such a conversation prepared would be much better than making a fool of herself. She finally put the phone away again and in her mind she replayed her short meeting with her new neighbor and kind of was also already busy thinking about what to say when they would meet again.

Meanwhile back at the Italian Restaurant Lizzie and Gordo had ordered their meals and drinks, both of them were of course really nervous on their first official date but before the silence could get too much uncomfortable Lizzie said: "You should really wear this outfit more often, because in my opinion it really suits you, makes you look so adorable." The last part she said with a little smirk on her face that made him laugh instantly and he finally replied: "

Thanks a lot Lizzie and I'm glad that it has paid off in the end to give the outfit for tonight so much thought." What the two didn't know was that Brooke Parker sat with them in the same restaurant with an Alibi Date at her side, because she still had that big crush on Gordo the one guy that she deeply regretted letting go.

She was quite surprised but pretty jealous at the same time as she spotted Gordo with Lizzie Mc Guire but she tried her best to not let that show in front of Peter, who was definitely cute but in the end a very bad substitute for the real thing. Brooke hesitated a moment before she finally said:

"I will go to the bathroom and will be back before you know it." With the best faked smile on her face she stood up from her chair and made her way to Lizzie's and Gordo's table.
