Chapter 27

He had tried so hard to forget about this big heartbreak, but unfortunately for him the whole thing had been resurfacing today as he realized that he might have already developed feelings for another girl. But he was so unsure if he was ready to take this risk of getting his heart broken again, of course it wasn't the case that all girls he felt in love with were disappointing him in a major way in the end but saying that there wasn't the risk of making the wrong decision would be a a big lie. Ryan didn't know how to get out of this mess on his own, so that could only mean one thing: He needed to seek advice from a neutral third person, that could help him just a little bit with making the right decision but who could that be?

Back at the Mc Guire house, Lizzie had just finished some of work for school and then decided to give her friend Miranda a call to have a little girl talk with her about Ryan, their new neighbor and she kind of also wanted to know if her Mexican Friend was still worrying that much about how „bad" things had been for her at the meeting in the Cafe. It didn't take Miranda long to pick the receiver on her end of the line and in her usual cheerful tone she answered:

„Hey Chica what's up?" It had taken a while but she had finally forgotten about the way she had acted in front of Ryan, of course not without promising to herself before that this whole thing wouldn't be happening the next time when they were seeing each other. Of course Lizzie was happy to hear that there wasn't any sadness in her best friend's voice anymore, as it was definitely a good thing that she had been able to move on that quickly.

„Before you say anything, please hear me out at first. I know that things didn't go so well between you and Ryan the first time around but this doesn't mean that you have to give up hope, because deep down I have the feeling that this thing between you and him could still work out at the end if he feels the same way about you." Of course Lizzie was aware that this whole thing might be a long shot and there actually was the risk of it leaving her best friend heart broken behind in the end. But this was only the worst case that could happen, there was also a good chance of Ryan also having feelings that went beyond friendship for Miranda but she needed to come up with some kind of discreet way to be sure about that.

Miranda sighed barely audible at the other end of the line, not because she didn't want to be reminded of Ryan again after what happened in the Cafe today but she still kind of had the feeling that her best friend was making her false hope in this case, even if she was aware of the fact that she meant well as always. So after she took a few minutes to think about everything that she had just heard she replied:

„I appreciate your little pep talk Chica and maybe I'm too pessimistic about the whole thing but right now I just don't see it that Ryan feels the same way about me." Lizzie could understand her best friend's frustation very well, as she didn't have much luck with love the past years and this was definitely one of the biggest reasons that she wanted to make this thing work.

„Trust me, I completely understand your frustations but I've got the feeling that it will end differently this time around just have a little bit more faith, okay?"

„Ok Chica, I will do my best but no guarentees." Miranda answered with a little smile on her face now and of course her blonde best friend was so happy to hear that from her. Before she decided to end the call with her best friend she said:

„That's good to hear from you and I have hang up now, because I'm going to call Gordo to ask him something school related which only he can help me with." Of course only half of it was true, instead of talking only about school stuff she also wanted to talk to him about how they wanted to progress on Mission „Get Mister Right for Miranda".

„Okay bye Chica and I think that I still need to finish some school work anyway." Miranda replied before finally ending the call with her long-time best friend. Shortly after she had finished the call with Miranda, Lizzie dialed Gordo's number hoping that he was home right now and not to busy with anything else to talk as she paitently waited for him to pick up the phone.

„Hello, how was your talk with Miranda?" Gordo finally answered at the other end of the line, of course being very curious what she had said to his girlfriend about Ryan. Before Lizzie had decided to let him in on her plan, helping Miranda to finally get her Mister Right he had never been interested in the girls talk but that had changed now.

„As I had already expected, she's still worried about having no more chance of getting together with Ryan after the meeting in the Cafe. Of course I tried to tell her that she was being way too paranoid in this case, but maybe there's also some truth behind her statement as we don't know for sure if Ryan feels the same way about her." Gordo was aware of the fact that they couldn't just ask him directly about his feelings, because there was that big risk involved that this could backfire at them in a major way but how could they get an answer from him then?

„Since you're probably not planning on just ask him about this delicate topic, do you have any kind of idea how to progress with this whole thing?" Gordo then asked and of course he also wanted Miranda to finally have some luck regarding love, even if they had known in advance that it definitely wouldn't be easy to play matchmaker between those two.

Since Ryan now knew that he and Miranda were visiting the same school, he was a little bit unsure how to act around her because he had mixed feelings about the whole thing: Of course Miranda was pretty cute and she seemed very nice, but he also wasn't sure if he was ready for another relationship yet after it still felt like to him that he got his heart broken by his last girlfriend just yesterday.
