Chapter 30

Still at home Miranda didn't really know what to make of everything that she had just learned during the short phone conversation with Lizzie and she couldn't help but ask herself for a minute: Was this whole thing just a big coincedence or was this maybe some part of some plan that involved to pair off me with Ryan? As quickly as that thought had entered her mind, she locked it away again because she realized how ridiculous it was to think something insane like that and then she decided to make herself ready for the meeting she was going to have with Ryan, Gordo and Lizzie.

Meanwhile Ryan had already finished his preparations for the meeting with Miranda, Lizzie and Gordo and he couldn't help but feel a little bit nervous about seeing Miranda again, as he still wasn't a hundred percent sure how he would be able to handle this whole situation. Of course the talk with Pete had helped him a little bit with handling his feelings but there was still that question that he kept asking himself over and over again: What if I make a total fool out of myself in any way? I could never look at her without totally embarrasing myself again! At the same time it was so weird for him to feel like this right now, but he guessed that love sometimes did have that kind of effect on people, no matter if he liked it or not. Still laying on Lizzie's bed together, with their faces just being a few inches away from each Lizzie had a big smile on her face as she said:

„Sometimes I could really just lay here next to you all day and I feel so save in your arms Gordo." Gordo was touched by those words and instead of saying anything he just kissed her directly on her mouth. Catching off guard she kind of captured his lips right at that moment, where she felt his lips touch hers and wanting to deepen the kiss by gently nibbling on his upper lip and after getting over the fact that he was pretty surprised by her bold move, he granted her tongue entrance into his mouth.

For a couple of minutes they forgot everything that was happening around them, as they just enjoyed this wonderful moment they had together. Meanwhile Miranda and Ryan had almost left their homes, both feeling very anxious about the upcoming meeting in the Mall but they also were busy with trying to put their worries to rest, even if that was easier said than done. A litte bit later Miranda and Ryan sat in the same bus, which would take them both to the mall where they would meet with Lizzie and Gordo.

As she looked out of the window of the bus, she tried her best to calm herself down by ensuring herself that this would be just a normal meeting with her two best friends and their new neighbor, even she somehow had to admit to herself that he was kind of cute. What she didn't know was that Ryan was sitting in the same bus as her, just a few rows seperating them but one thing was for sure: They would definitely meet once the bus had reached it's final destination.

Back at the Mc Guire's residence Gordo and Lizzie were still laying on Lizzie's bed together, Gordo gently stroking his girlfriend's head and of course she couldn't help but enjoy every minute of laying in his arms. She probably would have laughed at anybody that would have told her five years ago that she and Gordo would be a happy couple by now, because of the fact that she had spent a lot of years imagining how it would be if she would be Ethan Craft's girlfriend.

Sure Ethan never had been the smartest guy at school, but sometimes girls had the tendency to look past those things when a guy looked that sexy like Ethan did. During the trip to Rom she finally realized one thing: Her Mister Right had been right in front her nose for the entire time and she and her best friend Gordo did have that deep connection, which went far beyond friendship but it had just taken her so long to put the final pieces of the puzzle together.

Of course she was kind of torn at this point: On one side she didn't want that sweet moment to end but they also needed to get going, as much as she loved to just rest in her boyfriend's arms but in the end there was always enough time for that.

„I think we should make our way to the mall with the next bus, as much I hate to end stand up from the bed right now but I also don't want Miranda and Ryan to wait that long for us." Gordo also hated the fact that they couldn't just stay like this for quite a while, but he also had to admit that she was right: „Yes, we should get going but ladies first of course." Gordo said with a big grin on his face, as he stood up from the bed and held the door open the door for his girlfriend. Lizzie playfully hit him on the arm with a big grin on her face too, then kissed him gently on his right cheek as they made their way hand in hand out of the Mc Guire's residence towards the next bus stop. In the kitchen Lizzie's parents were secretly watching this scene unfold from the distance and Miss Mc Guire said: „Aren't they just looking totally cute together Sam?"

„Yes, they are Darling and I really think that Gordo would make the better son in law comparing to Ethan Craft." Lizzie's Dad replied with a grin on his face and of course it wasn't his business who his daughter was dating, as the only thing that mattered was that she was happy in the end but he had always thought that his daughter and the intelligent but also kind of shy Gordo would make a great couple.
