Note: I just wanted to say Calem's team will be my team I used in Pokemon Y, another thing to note is that some things I plan to include are not in the anime, or game. With that out of the way enjoy! :)

Calem's POV

Calem ran through the gate with a smile on his face. He was already enjoying the rejoin, and was excited he made new friends and was already going to choose a Pokemon. If the options were the Kalos starters he already knew which one he wanted to pick.

Serena and Shauna's POV

"Ok let's go after him" Shauna said.

"Yeah don't want to lose him" Serena said

Calem looked around the cafe, he could see some people sitting in seats, eating with people, dining with Pokemon, and some eating by themselves. Serena and Shauna quickly caught up to him, and found a table with two other boys. They quickly started talking.

"Well I guess I know where I'm sitting" Calem said

Calem quickly walked over to the group, and picked a seat, unfortunately the only seat that was still open was next to Serena.

"Wow, Shauna's description was spot on!" a heavy set boy said

"Well that's Shauna for you" a skinny orange haired boy said.

"Everyone meet Calem" Serena said

"This is Trevor" Serena said while point to the orange haired boy "He's really smart and never misses a single question on his test

"That's all you could describe me with" Trevor said annoyingly

"This is Tierno, he loves to dance" Serena said

"I just uh huh flow to the music!" Tierno said happily

"Ok, so when are we going to get our Pokemon" Shauna said getting slightly anxious

"Relax, here they are" Trevor said holding a wide box with a latch on it

"We hope your excited as when we choose our partners" Tierno said as Trevor opened the box

Trevor took out 3 pokeballs and threw them out.

"Before you choose them here's a pokedex" Tierno said

Shauna got a pink pokedex, Trevor got a green one, Tierno got a yellow one, Serena got a red and black one, and Calem got a blue and white pokedex.

"I'll let you choose first Calem" Serena said

"Good because I wanted to choose the pokemon leftover and leave it up to fate" Shauna said.

"Ok thanks, Serena that's really nice of you" Calem said

"Oh your welcome" Serena said with a blush on her face

While Calem didn't notice this small action, everyone else in the group did. Calem got up and pointed his pokedex at a green spiky nut Pokemon.

Zzzt.. "Chespin, the spiky nut pokemon! The quills on its head are usually soft. When it flexes them, the points become so hard and sharp that they can pierce rock"

"That Pokemon seems cool" Serena said

Calem then pointed his pokedex at a fox pokemon with red fur growing out of its ears.

Zzzt.. "Fennekin, the fire fox pokemon! Eating a twig fills it with energy, and its roomy ears give vent to air hotter than 390 degrees fahrenheit"

"Wow that pokemon looks so cool" Shauna said

"I thought you said you were just going to choose the Pokemon that was left over?" Trevor said

"Can I not have a opinion!" Shauna said

Last Calem pointed his pokedex to a blue frog covered in white frubbles.

Zzzt... Zzzt "Froakie, the bubble frog Pokemon! It secrets flexible bubbles from its chest and back. The bubbles reduce the damage it would have otherwise take when attacked.

"Wow, this Pokemon is awesome" Calem said

Calem stood up and thought hard, all 3 of them were great in their own way, but he had already made his mind. Froakie I hope you choose me as my partner.

"Froakie I choose you!" Calem said

" Froak, Froak" Froakie said happily

Froakie jumped up and nuzzled against Calem.

"I'm glad you accept me" Calem said happily said

While Calem and Froakie quickly bonded and started playing with each other the group stared in awe.

"Well Fennekin I choose you" Serena said

"Fenn, kin" Fennekin said with a smile

"I hope we can become good friends" Serena said

Fennekin nodded and then brushed up against Serena

"Well I guess that leaves me with Chespin" Shuana said

"Ches, che" Chespin said as it ran up to Shauna and hugged Shauna

"Aww, it loves me" Shuana said while rubbing Chespins quills.

"If you want I can tell you your Pokemons genders" Tierno said

"Ok tell us!" Calem, Serena, and Shuana said eagerly

"Well Froakie is a male, while Chespin and Fennekin are female" Trevor said

"Wow our Pokemon match our genders" Shauna said happily.

Everybody had fun with their partners and started talking about their upcoming journey when Serena realized something.

"Uhh, Calem you have to get this Letter of Approval signed by your parents before you can start your journey, I forgot to tell you, I'm so sorry!" Serena said while lightly blushing

"It's okay, it's not big deal, and by the way why is your face red?" Calem said dumbfounded

"Uhh, it's nothing, I'm just excited about our journey" Serena said weakly

"Ok just making sure your okay, I know we just met but I care about you" Calem whispered

"Thanks Calem" Serena whispered

The group continued to talk about their pokemon and other things as sunset approached...

"Well, I'm going to head home" Calem said

"Wait!" Shauna said, "I want to have a battle with you"

"Ok then good luck" Calem said.

"I'm cheering for you Calem!" Serena said

Trevor and Tierno both looked at each other and nodded.

"Can we talk Serena?" they both said at the same time

"Sure what is it..." Serena quickly said already having an idea on what the subject was about

"You have a crush on Calem don't you" Trevor whispered

"Yeahhhhhhh, I need to do a better job of hiding it then" Serena whispered

"It's fine we won't tell" Tierno whispered

"We been friends since we were kids we will support you" Trevor said

"Thanks guys, and by the way you guys have to keep this a secret" Serena said

"Ok!!" Both of them said...

BATTLE BEGIN

Shauna V Calem

"Go Froakie" Calem said

"Come on out Chespin" Shauna said

"Ches"

"Froak!"

Both pokemon were eager to begin. "Alright Chespin we'll have the first move, use Tackle"

"Froakie doge it, use your frubbles to stop it!"

Chespin ran up to Froakie, however Froakie jumped and ducked and managed to dodge all of the Tackles. Froakie then pulled out some Frubbles and threw them at Chespin.

"Quick Chespin doge it!"

Chespin tried to dodge the Frubbles, but one managed to get stuck onto Chespin's leg leaving it trapped.

"Oh no! Try to wiggle out Chespin"

"Ok Froakie hit them with your bubbles

Froakie then breathed in and let out a cascade of bubbles hitting Chespin. Chespin yelped and went flying in the air crashing on the ground. It struggled, but finally managed to get back up.

"Glad your okay! Your so strong, now use Tackle!"

Chespin then charged toward Froakie, who simply threw more Frubbles at it blocking the Tackle.

"Now use Vine Whip!"

Chespin let loose a fast and sharp vine which caught Froakie offguard.

"Quick Froakie use your Frubbles as a shield!"

Froakie quickly covered itself in its Frubbled protecting it greatly from the wise supper effective attack, but still damaging it a bit. A cloud of steam appeared covering the battlefield, but when the steam disappeared Froakie was gone!

"Chess, pin" The nut pokemon said nervously

"Oh no Chespin look behind you, doge it quick!"

Chespin turned around, however Froakie was already rushing towards it with a Pound attack. Chespin only had time to step back as it was hit with a swift chop in the stomach. Chespin gasped, a critical hit Calem realized! Chespin fell over with swirls in her eyes, not moving.

BATTLE END

Shauna V Calem

"Chespin is unable to battle, which means Froakie wins, therefore Calem is the winner" Trevor said

"Both of you guys did great, you and your Pokemon were in so much sink!" Serena said

"Fenn, kin" Fennekin said happily

"I guess it was cheering for both of you two" Serena said

"Thank it was a great battle Shauna" Calem said

"Same here Calem" Shauna said.

"Here's a potion for your Chespin" Trevor said

"Thanks!" Shauna said as she gave Chespin the potion reviving it in a instant.

"Next time I'll battle you!" Serena said

Trevor left because he said he wanted to catch everything Pokemon in the Pokedex and raced off. Tierno said he wanted to find some Pokemon to add to his dancing team. All who was left were Calem, Shauna, and Serenea.

"Sorry I can't come over to your house today, maybe next time" Shauna said while looking at her watch

"It"s fine no problem" Calem said as Shauna quickly ran off

"Well, want to stop by my place Serena?" Calem said

"Sure I'd love to go" Serena said

The two new trainers walked back to Vaniville Town. Both were excited as this meant their journey was officially, the only thing left to do was deliver the Letter of Approval to their parents...
