Note: Before I begin sorry for the little break I took. I just wanted to take a break from writing for a little while, anyways I decided to try something new and made a new character last chapter. I hope you liked her and while she won't go on the journey with Calem and his friends, I want her to get some screen time and be a reoccurring character. If you want to post opinions on Gwen please review and tell me.With that out of the way please enjoy and have a great day :)
Gwen got a huge pot out and poured in water and the soup mix. She then began stirring it and adding seasoning and sauces to it. After the soup began cooking for a while Calem then added the berries, and vegetables and onions. Calem then got out a pan and his portable oven, and began cooking the raw cut up steak on the oven eye on top. Serena on the other head was making the Fruit Punch. Serena then added water, sugar, and some fruit punch mix and stirred it together. Serena then added a squeeze of lemon, and added some fresh fruit to give the Frut Punch a fruity flavor.
"Wow smells good" Tierno said sniffing the air
"Wow it looks good so good" Shauna said peering over the pot
"I don't even know how you three are so good of cooks" Trevor said in amazement
"It just takes practice" Calem said searing the meat
"Ok the French Onion Soup will be ready in about 30 minutes" Gwen said putting the lid on the pot
"Alright I set the timer" Serena said
The group then went to the wooden table they set up and sat down.
"Just asking how did you get your Pokemon Gwen" Calem
"Well I got Espurr from a egg my parents gave me, and Litleo was my first Pokemon I caught" Gwen said
"Well I'm going to go rehearse for my peformance so I can get my sixth Princess Key" Gwen said
"So you do performing Gwen, wow you already have 5 princess keys. Can you help me I'm trying to get my fourth princess key" Shauna said
"I want to help too" Serena said
"Ok boys we'll be back in 30 minutes" Gwen
The three girls then walked off.
"Want to go find some Pokemon" Trevor said
"Sure" Calem said
"I'm going to take a cat nap" Tierno said yawning
Calem and Trevor then ran off through the lush meadow of Route 3. Calem went over to some high grass and caught a Dunsparce, an Azuril, a Bidoff, a Litleo and a Burmy which he then transferred to the virtual PC.
Trevor went over to a lake and caught a Marill, Golden, and a Magikarp which he also promptly transferred to the Virtual PC. After 30 minutes went by Trevor and Calem met back up by the table. Tierno was already awake waiting for them.
"So how many Pokemon have you caught total?" Tierno said
"Well I caught 3 Pokemon right now for a total of 15" Trevor said smiling
"Well I caught 4 Pokemon today, for a total of 18 if you include the evolution of Spewpa" Calem said grinning back
"Nice looks like I'll have some competition from you" Trevor exclaimed
"You bet, I'll b-
"Zzt" Calem's phone rang
"Looks like the soup is ready, but were are the girls" Tierno said
"I'm pretty sure they'll be coming soon" Trevor said
Just then Gwen, Serena, and Shauna heading over to them. They were talking intently and looked like they were in a deep conversation.
"Wow I didn't know you already had 5 Princess Keya Gwen" Shauna said
"Yeah they hold at least once for week, so I had a chance to get a lot," Gwen said
"Wow I only have 3 Princess Keys, it looks like I have some competition" Shauna said
"Just asking is there any Poke Peformance tournaments coming up, I want to get my 1st princess Key" Serena said
"There's a tournament in Santulne City in 3 days! That'll be a good chance to get a Princess Key" Gwen said
"Thanks, looks like the soup is ready" Serena said turning off her alarm
The six trainers then got bowls, and spoons and ate the Onion French Soup. Everyone said it was delicious and again agreed to continue to let Calem, Serena, and Gwen cook. Everyone then tasted the Fruit Punch and said it was sugary, fruity, tasty, and refreshing.
"Ok your hour is over, let the tournament resume!" the leader said
"Let the first match begin, Calem verus Amy" the leader said
BATTLE BEGIN !
Calem Verus Amy
"Since you both have 3 Pokemon it'll be a single battle with no switch ins allowed, you may only be allowed to switch your Pokemon after you make the opposing trailer's Pokemon faint" the leader stated
"Ok I choose you Spewpa" Calem said
"Come on out Zoura" Amy said
"Now use Leer" Amy said
"Close your eyes don't look Spewpa" Calem said
Zoura tried to let out an intimidating glare, but Spewpa closed her eyes causing her to be unaffected.
"Now use Pursit" Amy said
"Spewpa use Protect then use then punish it with Tackle" Calem said
Zoura then ran forward and tried to hit Spewpa however Spewpa used Protect! Zoura kept pursuing it trying to get in only getting rejected by Protect. After a few tries Zoura began to get tired, and when it stopped for a second it was then swiftly hit by a Tackle.
"Uhh Zoura use Fury Swipes!" Amy yelled
"Wait til it gets close then use String Shot" Calem said
Zoura then ran forward and used Scratch trying to hitting Spewpa, however Spewpa simply jumped back and used String Shot covering Zoura completley.
"Now use Stun Spore Spewpa" Calem said
Zoura soon became covered up in spores, and was struggling to move because of the string and also fighting the paralysis.
"Now Spewpa use Bug Bite" Calem said
Spewpa then ran forward and bit Zoura causing Zoura to cry in pain. Zoura didn't stand a chance. It then promptly fell to the ground with swirls in its eyes.
"Zoura is unable to battle would you like to change your Pokemon Calem" the red said
"Yes I want to switch Pokemon" Calem said
"Spew, pa" Spewpa argued still wanting to battle
"I want to make sure Froakie and Fletchling have a chance to battle too" Calem said "Hey you can still watch us Spewpa, here's a Oran berry" Calem said holding it out
"Spe" Spewpa said taking the Oran Berry. It then stood by Calem's side to watch the battle
"Alright Fletchling I choose you" Calem said
"Go Machop!" Amy said
Calem then got out his Pokedex and pointed it towards Machop
"Zzzt Machop the muscle Pokemon! It likes food that is highly nutritious because its natural instinct drives it to build muscle efficiently"
"Now Machop ambush it with Karate Chop!
Machop then ran forward and barraged Fletchling with Karate Chop attacks. However since Fletchling was a Flying type it was able to stay in the air just out of reach.
"Nice Machop, now use Rock Throw!" Amy said
Machop concentrated and then a huge rock formed on the ground, which Machop picked up and the. The Rock flew in the air and came towards Fletchling, which she barely dodged.
"Now use Rock throw again" Amy said
"Now Fletchling dive down and hit it with Peck
Then another huge rock formed which Machop then took a few seconds to pick up. Fletchling was flying hadd towards the ground and started to use a Peck. Machop then aimed the bolder and threw it. Fletchling right at the moment hit it with Peck. A huge cloud of smoke appeared and when it cleared Fletchling was flying in the air and Machop was on the ground pinned by the rock. Fletchling then began flying back in forth moving faster and faster!
"Wow I think Fletchling is trying to learn Agility" Gwen said
"You think that's why it was able to pull of the Peck attack before Machop used the Rock Throw" Serena asked
"I think so" Shauna said
"Looks like this match is in Calem's favor" Trevor said
"Alright go Calem!" Tierno cheered
"No try to get out Machop" Amy said tense
"Now's our chance ambush try to use Agility" Calem said
"Fletch!" Fletchling nodded
Fletchling began to move back and forth even faster now. Fletchling keep trying and soon began to move so fast Calem couldn't quite see it. Machop then struggled but lifted the rock up. It was panting and looked like it could barely stand up let alone battle.
"Machop we still got this, use Low Sweep!" Amy cried
"Fletchling use Quick attack to get near then use Peck!" Calem said
Fletchling then began moving at lightning speed racing towards Machop. Machop then threw out a Sweep with its foot which Fletchling quickly dodged. Fletchling was so fast while Machop was still throwing out a kick it then hit it with Peck, and then hit it again.
"Mach" Machop said falling on the ground and rolling on the battlefield
"Machop can you still battle?" Amy asked
However Machop didn't and respond and didn't get off the ground. It then explained itself as Amy saw swirls in Machop's eyes.
"Nice, but I'll win this, now go Gastly" Amy said
"Wow Gastly can float, so if Calem decides to stick with Fletchling it won't be able to stall in the air" Gwen said
"That's if he sticks with Fletchling" Serena said
"Calem's pokemon are so awesome" Shauna said
"Now Froakie I choose you" Calem said "Return Fletchling"
"Fletch" Fletchling said landing on Calem's shoulder
"Ok Froakie, use Bubble" Calem said
"Gastly use Snarl"
Gasty then snarled and a dark beam of light approached Froakie. Froakie then tried to use Bubble. The two attacks stayed even with none of them advancing until the Snarl beat out the Bubbles and hit Froakie.
"Froa" Froakie said falling
"Now use Lick" Amy said
Gastly then hovered towards Froakie and tried to lick it. However Froakie jumped back and shot a Pulse of Water
"Wow what was that" Shauna said
"Froakie just learned Water Pulse" Gwen said
"Now use Quick Attack, then charge a Water Pulse then use Lick on it" Calem said
"Froa" Froakie said grinning as it understand what Calem was trying to do
"I don't understand what are you doing, but it won't work, Gastly dodge it" Amy said
Froakie then began charging a Water Pulse and then licked it. It then began running fast using Quick Attack. Froakie then threw the combined move at incredible speed. Gastly tried to doge to the left but the combined move hit at full speed knocking it hard on the ground. Gastly then tried to get back up but apparently it was paralyzed as it couldn't move.
"Now finish it with Water Pulse" Calem said
Froakie then jumped up and fired a Water Pulse aimed right for Gastly. Gastly tried to doge it, but couldn't move from the paralysis. The Water Pulse then crashed into Gastly making it land on the ground. Gastly the groaned and fainted
"Gastly is unable to battle which means Froakie wins the match, therefore Calem is the winner
BATTLE END!
"Alright we won guys" Calem said
"Froa!"
"Fle"
"Spewp"
The four then hugged and embraced.
"You all were so awesome, thank you so much" Calem said
Calem and his Pokemon then began heading over to the group
"I've never seen a trainer use a move like that before" Gwen said "You did so great" Gwen said hugging Calem
"Thanks Gwen" Calem said returning the hug
Your such a good trainer!" Serena said smiling
"Since both trainers have only one Pokemon it'll be a 1v1 until a Pokemon faints" the ref said
"Okay the next match is Jake verus Serena " the leader announced
"Wish me luck" Serena said walking onto the battlefield
BATTLE BEGIN!
Serena verus Jake
"Come on out Paras" Jake said
Serena then pointed her Pokedex at Paras.
"Zzzt Paras, the parasite Pokenon! It burrows underneath the ground to absorb tree routes. The mushrooms on it's back get most of the nutrition though!"
"We can do this go Fennekin" Serena said
"Now use Sleep Powder" Jake said
"Fennekin use Ember on the Powders" Serena cried
Paras's mushrooms on it's back then let out some green spores which Fennekin's Ember melted
"Now use Ember!" Serena said
"Use Leech Seed!" Jake said
Paras shot out a Leech Seed that landed on Fennekin, However Fennekin howled and then ran forward becoming completely covered in Fire and tackled Paras melting the Leech Seed in the process. Paras then fell to the ground unable to battle.
"Fennekin just learned Flame Charge!" Gwen said
"Wow I hope one of my Pokemon learns a new move" Shauna said jumping in joy
"Since that hit was four times super effective Paras didn't stand a chance" Trevor said
"I didn't expect it to one shot it though" Tierno said sounding suprised
"Wow Fennekin we won!" Serena said
"Fenn" Fennekin said jumping into Serena's arms
BATTLE END!
"Hmmm, my Paras is just trash that's all" "Ok the next matchup is Shauna verus Tiffany" the leader said
"Since you both have only one Pokemon, it'll be a 1v1" the ref said
"Okay I choose Chespin" Shauna said
"I'm going with Litwick" Tiffany said
Shauna then pointed her pokedex at the Litwick
"Zzt Litwick the ghost lamp Pokemon! Litwick appear to help lost travelers. Sadly when shining a light and pretending to be a guide it is actually absorbing the life force out of them, it then converts their life force which becomes the fuel that it burns"
"What a creepy Pokemon..." Shauna muttered
"Now Chespin use your Vine Whip attack to kick up some dirt!" Shauna said
"Go for a Confuse Ray Litwick!' Tiffany hollered
"Lit" Litwick said searching for Chespin
Chespin kicked up a cloud of dirt blocking Litwick's vision since Litwick couldn't see Chespin it couldn't use Confuse Ray.
"Now use Bite" Chespin
"Counter with Ember" Tiffany said
Litwick shot out at Ember. Chespin ran forward and its fangs started glowing. Chespin ran towards Litwick and ate the Ember! Then it ran and bit Litwick. Litwick then flew in the air but landed on the ground.
"What, well you won't be able to eat this use Will-O-Whisp!" Amy gestured
"Blow it away using Vine Whip" Shauna said
Litwick let out a glowing fire. The mysterious fire which hovered over to Chespin. Chespin tried blowing it with its vines but the glowing fire kept going and burned it.
"Oh no Chespin you been burned!" Shauna cried
"Now use Fire Spin" Tiffany said
"Use Rollout to get out of there" Shauna said
Chespin then rolled up into a ball. The rocks and fire were absorbed up into the ball as it rolled and slammed into Litwick. Litwick rolled back and fell on the ground. It looked like it was in a lot of pain but still got back up.
"Come on Litwick were not done yet, now use Ember" Tiffany said
"Dodge it Chespin" Shauna cried "Then use Bite"
"Chespi" Chespin said running forward
Litwick then shot out the Ember which directly hit Chespin. However Chespin took the Ember and kept running forward tackling Litwick and biting it over and over. A cloud of dust appeared and Litwick and Chespin were in a stand off.
"Wow who do you think will win" Tierno said whispered
"I don't know I'm watching just like you" Trevor said quietly
The standoff lasted a few seconds until Chespin stumbled a little bit, but quickly righted herself. Litwick fell to the ground knocked out.
"Oh my gosh, I won" Shauna said
"Litwick!!!!" Tiffany said "Well it was a good battle, hope you do well" she said returning Litwick to its Pokéball.
"Thanks, your Litwick is really strong" Shauna said shaking hands with the trainer and walking over to the group
BATTLE END!
"Wow you did great" Serena said hugging Shauna
"Thanks, I thought I lost when Chespin got hit with that Ember" Shauna said
"Now for our final match Tierno vs Trevor!!" the leader said
"Come on out Flabblé" Trevor said
"Squirtle let's dance" Tierno said
The two pokémon fought and battled hard. The battle went on for a long time but Squirtle eventually won by using Bubble Beam.
"Charmander you can do this" Trevor said
"Ok so fire attacks won't work so we'll have to try something else. The move you do know that will work are Bite, Scratch, Growl, and Tail Whip. Based on my calculations the best move will be--"Trevor tried to say
Trevor was interrupted by Charmander getting blasted by a squirt of water.
"Guess I caught you talking to much, Squirtle use Tail Slap" Tierno said laughing
"No..What move would work best... Uh use Bite" Trevor quickly said as Squirtle was approaching
Charmander then threw it's self into Squirtle just as Squirtle used it's Tail Slap attack. Charmander latched onto Squirtle's tail having it stuck.
"Yes!" Tierno cried "Now you can't move"
"It's funny because you can't move either" Tierno laughed "Now Squirtle use Bubble Beam
Charmander got blasted by the water and fell on the ground. Charmander then started coughing up water and choking and gagging. There were scratches and bruises across it's body and it's tail flame was low. However Charmander looked back at Trevor and nodded.
What am I suppose to do! Nothing is working I can't fail Charmander, not like this. I just wish I could have some of Charmander's confidence Trevor thought
"Charmander use Scratch now!" Trevor thought
Charmander scratched Squirtle in the eye causing it to fall back and stumble.
"Now... Use Dragon Rage!" Trevor said
Charmander then started charging and related a violet ball of dragon energy which hit Squirtle head on. Squirtle flew backwards but quickly got back up.
"Your off your rythm Squirtle start dancing, feel yourself move and grove" Tierno said calmly
"Don't let then stall, Charmander rush in and use a flurry of Scratch attacks, don't let up!" Tierno said
Charmander then ran forward sharpened it's claws and took a swing at Charmander, Squirtoe dodged and kept dancing. Charmander then kept running trying to hit Squirtle however Squirtle moved and grooved and dodged all the scratch attacks, Charmander then started getting tired and started moving slower and slower. Charmander then lunged for another scratch attack which grazed Squirtle's arm.
"Wow Squirtle's really in the zone" Calem said
"They can't even get in" Serena said
"Squirtle and Tierno are in perfect sync" Gwen said
"Now use Withdraw Squirtle" Tierno said
Squirtle then went in it's shell and started spinning around. Squirtle kept getting faster and faster until you could barely see it. Then Squirtle headed towards Charmander at blazing speed. Charmander let out a puff of fire but Squirtle rushed right pass that and hit Charmander. Charmander flew high into the air.
"Now use Bubble on it" Tierno said
Charmander got hit by the water and fell on the ground. Charmander then groaned and promptly fainted.
"The winner is Squirtle therefore Tierno wins!" the ref said
BATTLE END!
"Wow you both did great" Calem said
"It was fun watching you" Serena said
"I don't know if I did great" Trevor said gloomily as he walked off
"What's his problem" Gwen said
"I don't know I thought it was a great match" Tierno thought
"Ok due to time constraints we kept doing matches during your break, so only 12 people remaining, were sorry fo this and everyone will receive 1 rare candy as a apology. Now tomorrow our matches will be Tierno verus David, Shauna verus Gwen, Serena vs Chase, Calem verus Stephanie, Alex verus Douglas, and Olivia verus Ellen!"
Great I'm feeling tired of sleepung outside let's stop at a Poké Center" Calem said
"Cool let's go!" Gwen said
Unbeknownst to the group Shauna ran off to search for Trevor.
As the tournament heats up, and participants lose will one of our heros be able to win the tournament, aslo where did Trevor go...
