Chapter 3:
Once out the shower Elliot made his way out of the bathroom in a towel. ''Thank you for letting me stay and use the shower'' he smiles as he picks up the clothes off the end of her bed ''I'll change in the bathroom if you want to use out here?'' she nods and he makes his way back into the bathroom.
She slowly walks over to the drawer to get out something to wear for bed. She can't get the image of him just in a towel out of her head. This is wrong she's with Brian and all she can thing about is him! Looking down at her clothes she tries to find something appropriate to wear. She sighs and picks up shorts and a tank top and changes into them quickly. ''These will do.''
Elliot walks back into her bedroom and sees her sat there in a tank top and shorts and he can't stop staring at her. He slowly makes his way over to the bed and pulls back the covers to get in. He notices she still hasn't made any effort to get under the covers so he places his hand on her shoulder ''Liv come on get into bed, we've shared a bed before. If this makes you uncomfortable though I'll take the couch.'' He stares up at her waiting for an answer and he gets one as she gets up and pulls back the covers getting in. He smiles and turns off the lamp next to him. ''Goodnight Livvie'' he places his arm around her.
Her heart swells at the use of her nickname. How could something so wrong feel so right? She was sat here with her ex-partners arm around her and there is no place she would rather be. She wanted him 15 years ago and she wants him now. She places her hand on top of his and smiles knowing that everything was going to be okay. He'd get better it'll just take time. She was willing to do anything in her power to help him. She looked back to see if he was asleep before letting sleep take over her body.
The next morning Elliot woke up alone. He could hear shouting coming from the kitchen and he quickly got up and walked into the kitchen. Brian was home. Neither of them noticed Elliot walk in. '' I COME HOME TO YOU IN BED WITH HIM? IT'S ALWAYS BEEN HIM YOU WANTED NOT ME! HE'LL LEAVE YOU WHEN HE REALISES THAT YOU'RE USED GOODS! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A SLUT WHO THROWS HERSELF AT THE FIRST MAN WHO SHOWS HER THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF ATTENTION'' Elliot couldn't believe what he was hearing ''You're own mother didn't love you so how can you expect anybody else too?''. How could he speak to her like that! Before Elliot could intervene Olivia turned and slapped Brian and was shouting for him to leave. Once he left she threw herself at Elliot and began crying.
She couldn't believe her own boyfriend would say that to her. She couldn't hold back the tears. Her crying wasn't because she was upset that it was him speaking to her like that it was because she didn't want Elliot to think she was some sort of slut. She would be having a talk with Brian once he'd calmed down. He was never there for her when she really needed him and she knows that 'work' is just an excuse for something else. He doesn't know that she knew about the prostitutes before and she was a fool if she was going to let any man treat her the way he has. She held on tightly to Elliot as she cried ''Please don't leave..''.
His heart broke at her crying ''Liv, I left once before and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I'm sure as hell not leaving you again. You know he's wrong right? I'd never think you were used goods. Who you have and haven't slept with doesn't bother me. He knows we're best friends and we've never crossed that line'' He sighs. He wants to be more than her friend. He wants to show her what love really is because by the looks of it Brian isn't. He'd make sure she knew her worth and never doubted herself and if she really needed him he'd be there in a heartbeat. He kisses the top of her head when she looks up ''Movie day and a Chinese just like old times?'' She smiles and gives him a small nod before getting up.
Why does he always know just what to say to her when she's upset. He's always been there for her when she needed him no matter what time it was. He always knew how to cheer her up as well and she could tell he was being serious about not believing Brian. She sighs and wishes that he was with her and not Brian. Anyways he's not going to be around much longer after the stunt he pulled tonight.
