A/N: My aim is to update this every 2-3 days preferably 2 which I have managed to do right now. If I take over that amount of time to update there will most likely be a reason and I will let you guys know! I hope to make this a long story!

Chapter 4:

Olivia chose the movie Beaches for them to watch. She liked watching sad movies although it was normally when she was on her own because she didn't like crying in front of anyone. Of course her ex-partner was the exception. Elliot made his way over to the sofa with a blanket and put it over to them both. He knew a relaxing movie day was just what she needed to clear her head along with a Chinese which he promised to get her tonight. He still couldn't believe that Brian had spoken to her the way he had. Of course he was angry but that wasn't an excuse. He shook his head in order to stop thinking about Brian and pressed play on the movie.

About 10 minutes into the movie Olivia moved closer to Elliot and rested her head on his shoulder. She smiled as she felt his arm wrap around her. It was weird how normal this felt for the two of them. Throughout their partnership they barely hugged or touched any way as they both had feelings for each other and making it a daily thing would've made things a whole lot harder for the two of them. Of course they hugged during hard times such as when Eli was born. She looked up slightly to see a smile on his face. Maybe he was thinking the same thing as her? She turned her attention back to the movie and chose to ignore that thought for now.

They both cried together throughout the movie. Elliot wasn't bothered by the fact he was crying at the movie because she was too. They chose to watch another 2 movies. Once the movies had finished he stretched and looked down at Olivia as she looked up at him. ''You know yesterday was one of the hardest days for me. I was so prepared to pull that trigger and I'm glad I didn't because ever since I've been with you I've been so much happier. I've had no thoughts about anything like that and I couldn't thank you enough baby'' he leans down and kisses her forehead oblivious to the fact he'd just called her 'baby'.

She raises her eyebrow and smirks ''Baby?''. She laughs at the face he pulls when he realises ''Hey it's okay I don't mind. Look El, I'm glad you chose to come to me. If something had happened to you hearing about it from somebody else would've killed me. I was mad at you for leaving me up until yesterday. I then realised you did it because you were struggling and trying to protect me but next time you're struggling and things get hard please don't shut me out''. He nods and she continues staring into his baby blue eyes. She wanted so badly to lean up and kiss him but since things weren't officially over between her and Brian she couldn't. She wasn't going to stay with someone who spoke to her the way he did and she was madly in love with Elliot after all this time so she decided that she was going to see him today and end things. She's known Elliot for 15 years now and for 12 of them they were partners. She couldn't make a move on him back then because he was married but now there was nothing stopping them once things between her and Brian were over. She unwrapped herself from Elliot and sighed as she instantly missed the contact between them. ''Will you be okay on your own for a bit? I need to see Brian''. She seen his face drop immediately and before he answered she added ''I need to break things off with him. I can pick up the Chinese up on the way home as well. Noah is staying at Casey's place again tonight so it's just us two tonight.''

''Yeah Liv I'll be fine'' he looks up at her confused ''Who's Noah..?''.

''Oh I completely forgot you didn't know! Noah is my son. He was found during a case we has and I was given custody of him.'' She smiles proudly ''I sign the adoption papers in 2 months''

He instantly stands up and hugs her ''Oh Liv I'm so proud of you! If anyone deserves to be a mother you do. Tell you what why don't we order the Chinese for delivery? I have to head back to my place and pick up some more clothes for me to wear and come back. I'll probably be back before you so I can run you a bath and get the order in.''

She nods ''How could I refuse an offer like that? I won't be long'' She reaches for the spare key and hands it to him before exiting her apartment building.

Olivia's POV

On the drive over to Brian's place she couldn't help but feel nervous. Breaking things off was something she wanted so that wasn't why she was nervous, it was because she was scared about how he was going to react and what he was going to say to her. She took a deep breath and pulled up outside his house. Once she parked up she got out the car and made up to his door and knocked loudly. She bit her lip softly whilst waiting for him to answer, she really couldn't wait for this to be over. She watched as he pulled the door open and stepped aside to let her in.

''Liv I'm so sorry I know I was out of line this morning. It was just a shock to see him in our bed'' Brian explained. He wasn't really sorry, he absolutely could not stand Stabler.

''That doesn't excuse the way you spoke to me Brian. You brought my mother into it, you know how hard it was for me to ever tell you about my childhood and you used that against me!'' she looked down at her feet then back up at him. ''I'm not here to make things right with you Brian I'm here to end things. The way you spoke to me this morning is not a way you speak to somebody you supposedly love. I'm taking my things I have here and leaving. Don't even bother trying to stop me because nothing at all is going to change my mind.''

''It's him isn't it? You want to break up with me so you can get with Stabler. I've always played second best to him!'' Brian yelled as he followed Olivia into the bedroom watching as she gathered up her belongings.

She scoffed ''No Brian this has got something to do with the way you treat me. You're never home when I need you and we argue constantly, you think I have no idea about the prostitutes you were with whilst you were supposedly 'working' but I do. There's no fixing us Brian!'' She grabbed the last of her things and turned to him. ''You did this yourself this has nothing to do with El.'' She turned back and exited the house with her bags and made her way to the car. She put her bags into the car and got in herself, she was glad that this was finally over. She smiled to herself remembering that when she got home she'd have a nice hot bath waiting for her and she was going to spend the night with Elliot. She started up the car and drove home.

Once home she made her way inside with her bags and instantly smiled when she seen Elliot. She put down her bags and she could tell he was wondering how it went. ''Things went okay. He apologised and I told him we couldn't be fixed and I broke things off. He once again blamed you but I just ignored him grabbed my things and left.

''His loss really. He didn't realise how lucky he was to have you. I ran you a bubble bath and it's ready for you to get in so I'll order the Chinese now and get in the bath.'' He walked over and took her coat from her hanging it up and watched as she made her way to the bathroom. He couldn't believe how close he was to telling her that he loved her. He made a promise to himself that he would ask her out on a date soon. He wanted to do things right.

When she entered the bathroom she smiled as she noticed the candles lit around the bathtub. She quickly peeled off her clothes and got into the tub laying back to relax. She looked forward to spending so much more time with Elliot, he'd only been back in her life for a day and she couldn't help but smile whenever she was around him. They were just friends at the minute and he was treating her so much better than Brian ever did. She stayed relaxing in the bath for about 15 minutes longer before sat up and washed her hair and hurriedly got out the bath and wrapped a towel around herself before making her way into her bedroom. She made her way straight to the set of drawer and picked out a pair of black lacy underwear, a grey tank top and a pair of black leggings, she decide to go braless as she was only around Elliot and it wouldn't be obvious. She changed into them and made her way into her living room where Elliot was waiting on the sofa with 2 plates sorting out their food. She could definitely get used to this. She walked over to the sofa and sat down next to him taking her plate from him and smiling. They ate in a comfortable silence. Once finished Olivia stood up and took the plates and rubbish into the kitchen and cleaned around them. ''Come on lets get to bed.''

He looked at her shocked, he thought for sure she wouldn't share a bed with him again after the trouble it had caused. ''Liv I don't mind staying on the couch.''

She shook her head ''You can share my bed El. This morning doesn't put me off anything plus I kind of like having you in there'' she laughs ''Your like my own personal heater!''

He laughs before taking her hand ''Come on then.'' They walk into the bedroom hand in hand and both get into bed. He pulls her closer to him and she places her head on his chest. He leans down and kisses her head.

''Goodnight Liv.''

''Night El''

For the second night in a row they fall asleep in each others arms.
