Hey guys! So this is the last chapter but it will have an epilogue. I am also planning on finishing the Rescue Move this week. So, thank you for being patient on this chapter and I hope you will enjoy!

Let me know what you all think!

The sun wasn't even up when he felt Ha Ni beginning to rise. He was too tired from traveling and the stress of the last few weeks to even bother to open his eyes. So, he simply used the arm that was still wrapped around her waist to pull her further into his side. "No."

"Seung Jo," Ha Ni mumbled in confusion. "You're really here?"

He smiled slightly and made a noise of confirmation. "Did you forget already?"

"Hmm," she said sleepily. "I thought it was a dream."

Feeling guilty he nuzzled his face into the curve of her hip. "Where do you think you're going?" He said huskily as she tried to get up again and tightened his hold. "Nuh-uh."

She chuckled. "I need to call Parang. I am supposed to be there in an hour."

He sighed loudly and with one quick tug, she found herself once more on her back and his leg hooking over her to keep her in place. "And stay there this time."

She laughed quietly and he grinned at the sound before lifting his head to look at the clock. He rolled his eyes and snuggled back down beside her. "It's not even four. They can live without you until at least five." He pressed his lips into her shoulder. "Then I will call them for you."

"Hmm," Ha Ni nodded with a yawn. "Thank you."

Seung Jo scattered kisses over her back and enjoying the early morning snuggle, he brushed his fingers over her hip. It had been a while since he just laid in bed with her. Even before he had left for China, their schedules never seemed to align. With her early morning shifts and his late evenings in the lab for his research. So, being able to lay together in the cool morning with the sun not even shining yet made the bed feel extra warm.

She was still too pale though, Seung Jo noted with a touch of concern. Her eyes looked dark too. "Go back to sleep." He whispered and she nodded, rolling into his chest. "Can you answer my phone if Doctor Cheon calls for me?"

"Hmm," he agreed, and remembering his findings on her phone, he brushed her cheek. "Is he the reason you've been working so much?"

"Yes." Ha Ni sighed with a wide yawn. "He's a jerk."

He chuckled slightly and gave an impressed nod. "He must be for you to say so."

She nodded emphatically which struck him funny since his wife liked everyone. She rarely spoke ill of anyone and would always try to give people the benefit of doubt. Even the ones who talked down to her or were just downright rude were normally were given a second chance.

Hence his ability to still be the one in her bed right now, Seung Jo thought with a wry grin and pressed his lips into her neck which he knew was her weak spot and chuckled smugly at her instant breathless squirm.

"What's Doctor Cheon doing?" He asked carefully. "Besides making you work like a dog and leaving you messages that are going to cause me to break his fingers."

Her eyes narrowed slightly with a mischievous twinkle. "Did you go through my phone?"

"Mm-hmm."

"I probably should have deleted all those messages from my lover then."

"That's not funny, Ha Ni." Seung Jo barked loudly, his face growing dark with jealousy but she only snorted with a shake of her head. "Seung Jo, did you not see what name pops up when you text me?"

He frowned and rolled to grab her phone from where he left it last night. He pulled up his contact and while only his name appeared when he called but if he messaged her it automatically changed to, 'lover'.

"Brat." Seung Jo mumbled as she silently laughed next to him. She took the phone with a shrug. "I did it while you were gone. I don't know why but it made me feel closer to you by reading your words with that title… Almost like they were love letters from you. Even if you were just asking me about the weather or if I remembered to go to the bank."

He laughed quietly. "I guess you can keep it then."

She grinned and handed him back the phone. "As for Doctor Cheon, he is being ridiculous. He comes in for a few minutes in the morning to give the appearance of working before dumping all his patients onto us nurses, and then disappears to go play with his new girlfriend of the week."

Seung Jo gritted his teeth. Doctors who neglected their patients or acted irresponsibly with their safety was enough to make him go after you normally, but the fact that this time it was also affecting his wife's health made him see red. Doctor Cheon would be lucky if he just stopped at getting him written up for negligence.

Not wanting to alarm her though since Ha Ni didn't like it when he used his influence at Parang to help her, he simply brushed his hand down her back. "Well, don't worry. If he calls, I will talk to him."

Ha Ni nodded shyly. "But you will probably have to introduce yourself. I doubt he will connect who you are to me."

"What do you mean?" Seung Jo asked in confusion. "Most senior doctors there know who I am so why wouldn't they connect us-" He trailed off at her rising flush and his eyes narrowed in sudden suspicion. "What name do you go by at the hospital?"

Ha Ni bit her lip and looked up to the ceiling, and he growled in annoyance. "Ha Ni?"

"Nurse Oh."

"Nurse— "Seung Jo stopped, his eyes blazing hotly. "Why Nurse Oh, Miss Baek?"

She flushed. She knew Seung Jo had wanted her to go by his name at Parang. He wanted it clear she was married and belonged to him. But with his rising popularity, the few times she had went by her married name, it had caused a lot of jealousy with the other nurses. Not to mention, creepy men like the ones in the cafeteria a few weeks ago who wanted to use her to get back at Seung Jo.

But mainly... "It's because I wanted to protect you." Ha Ni confessed quietly and his face twisted in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

"If I were to mess up," Ha Ni whispered. "Or if something were to happen to me. I didn't want it connecting back to you."

Seung Jo's eyes softened and he tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "We will get to the first part of that in a minute, but what do you mean if anything happens to you?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. People tend to get a little aggressive with me once they find out I'm married to you. I was afraid of—"

"Aggressive how?" Seung Jo barked, alarm flashing over him. "Ha Ni, has someone tried to hurt you?"

"No." She sat up and cupped his face. "Nothing like that. It's just..."

"What?" He snapped, panic making his voice overly harsh. "Ha Ni, I am losing my patience. Just tell me."

"I don't want anyone using me to get back at you." Ha Ni finally said in a rush. "Doctors are jealous of you. Because of how smart and accomplished you are becoming. The few who know I am your wife like to butter me up or one of the doctors. Well..." She sighed heavily and gave him defeated shrug.

"I overheard one in the cafeteria. He was talking to another colleague who mentioned they knew your wife also worked at Parang who only barely passed her exams. They thought if they could find out who she was, they could create a problem. A conflict of interest or say I had been given favoritism to be given a job there, so you would have to be reprimanded or something."

Ha Ni brushed her fingers over his jaw. "I refuse to be a hindrance to you."

Seung Jo stared at her before firmly taking her chin and forcing her to look at him. "You are not a hindrance to me." He glared down at her. "And you should have told me about this. You are not allowed to be hurt or talked about—"

"No it's fine. I'm used to it." Ha Ni tried to assure him but he stopped her with a furious glare. "Stop talking."

She clamped her mouth shut as he continued harshly. "You don't get treated or talked that way by anyone. Do you understand me?"

Ha Ni nodded slowly. "But Seung Jo, I wasn't worried about me."

Seung Jo only continued to glare at her but she didn't care. "I love you. I want you to be successful. And I want to be the woman by your side while you do it." She gave him a long sad smile. "It won't matter how much you run interference for me. I will always be seen as nothing more than a slow, dumb student. The one who is shown favoritism because she married a genius. It's not your fault nor is it mine. It's just the way it is. So, I thought it best to go by Nurse Oh."

Her husband absorbed this before taking her face with a deep kiss. "Not anymore."

"Seung Jo—"

"It's Nurse Baek." He insisted quietly. "And I dare anyone to come up to me and say one word about you." He pulled back and brushed his thumbs over her cheeks. "Did you forget who you are married too? How many people in the world are brave enough to even say your name around me?"

Ha Ni chuckled softly. She had to admit, Seung Jo protectiveness over her had been a surprise once they got married. He had made it clear she was not to be talked about or made fun of anymore.

"Ha Ni," he murmured soothingly. "I can handle my career. You don't have to stand in front of me over anything." He rubbed his hands over her legs until he felt her relax. "I love you for trying to protect me. But don't ever put yourself in danger for me."

He brushed his mouth over hers softly. "If someone targets you to get to me, I will handle them."

She shivered at how calmly he said this but she knew her husband. The calmer he appeared the more you should be frightened. He would probably murder someone if they actually tried to touch her in order to scare him.

"Also," Seung Jo muttered with a narrowing of his eyes. "If it came down to my career or you, I would walk away from medicine without a second thought." He lifted her head, his voice low with worry. "You know that… Don't you?"

Ha Ni nodded. She did know that. Which is why she was so reluctant to have people connect her to Seung Jo. She never wanted him to sacrifice his dream for her. She told him as much but he quickly covered her mouth again. "Stop, Ha Ni."

She knew an order when she heard one and she smiled in defeat. "All right, Seung Jo. I will quit hiding."

Seung Jo felt a flash of anger she felt the need to hide in the first place. That she didn't believe herself good enough to be seen as the wife of Doctor Baek. He kissed her again and told himself to start showing her off more. Not to mention tracking down the few people who had dared approach her with their subtle intimidation. No-one touched his wife. No-one scared her. No-one tried to use her to get to him.

Ha Ni hugged him with a long sigh. "Does this mean you will beat Doctor Cheon up for me?"

Seung Jo nodded as he rubbed her back. "I was planning on it."

"Thank you."

"We're not done talking about this, though." He warned quietly. "I don't like that you hid things from me or didn't tell me people were bothering you."

Realizing she had hurt him, Ha Ni clung to him. "I'm sorry. I thought it was best to just ignore it."

Seung Jo knew this had been her default for years. Ignoring people who told her to quit, or she was too dumb to learn. Ha Ni simply tuned them out and just kept doing what she wanted. She wanted to be a supportive wife and a good nurse to her patients. So, she simply ignored the people who were sneaking around trying to find an angle to Baek Seung Jo and kept her head down. People would leave him alone. She would be overlooked which bugged him but was so ingrained in Ha Ni, she didn't even notice anymore, and she could just focus on her work.

"I love you," Seung Jo murmured. "Don't worry anymore. All right? About me or the hospital." He ran a finger over her dark eyes with a low hush of her name. "Let me worry and take care of you for a while."

Remembering everything she had been doing lately... Taking Eun Jo to soccer practice, helping her dad at the noodle shop, work, and helping him prepare for his trip, he inwardly shook his head. "It's my turn to handle things."

Ha Ni nodded and slowly trailed her lips over his throat. "I love you."

"I love you too." Seung Jo replied huskily and enjoyed her ministrations for few seconds but just when he was about to tell her she needed to rest more, she rose up and straddled his lap, her mouth warm and soft over his and his brain promptly shut down. He moaned and she grinned against his mouth. Lifting slightly, she suddenly sank down on him and he let out a hoarse curse of surprise. "Ha Ni, no wait…"

"No more waiting," she whispered in his ear with a dark grin. "Besides, it's time I give your home-coming gift."

"But-" Seung Jo broke off with a loud groan as she began to slowly move. "Never mind."

Ha Ni chuckled and leaned over to take him deeper, her hair falling around him and he gently took her mouth even while his hips began thrusting up into her with almost savage speed.

She rolled her hips harshly once more and let out a long cry, her body shuddering above him in pleasure. Feeling her tighten around him, Seung Jo tucked his face into her chest with a muffled shout of release, his fingers digging into the soft curve of her waist.

As he slowly came back to earth, he shook his head at his inability to hang on for more than a minute. But apparently, six weeks made his normal craving for his wife even more insatiable. With a dark curse of surrender, Seung Jo quickly flipped them over and settled back between her hips.

"I promise I am going to beat up Doctor Cheon for you." He growled impatiently as he nipped her throat. "Tomorrow."

Ha Ni nodded breathlessly as she arched under his rough exploration. "Tomorrow works."

This time it was slow and gentle, both of them taking their time after being apart so long. And even after they both collapsed in exhaustion, they were reluctant to let each other ago. The last thing he remembered before drifting off was that he should probably move but he was asleep before his brain could finish transmitting the message.

He woke up with a start a few hours later. He was still sprawled fully over her with her hands resting on top of his head as she slept fitfully.

He winced at how uncomfortable she had probably been with most of his weight on her. He lifted up carefully and at the feel of him moving, she fluttered awake. "Hmph."

"Sorry." He mumbled with a light kiss. "I didn't mean to crush you."

"It's okay."

Grinning, he rolled and tucked her into his side. She immediately went back to sleep obviously out now for the rest of the day and he felt a surge of protectiveness over her earlier confession. He waited a few seconds to make sure she was fully asleep and quietly crept out of bed. He slipped on his clothes and grabbed her phone once more. Tucking it into his pocket, he leaned down and kissed her cheek, smiling when she didn't even stir.

If she had not been worn out and exhausted before, his early morning affections had apparently done the trick.

He slipped silently out of the room and headed downstairs. His family had already left for the day and he made a mental reminder that he still needed to talk to them too. Especially when he went into the kitchen and found a note from his mother asking if she could please go to the market along with her shopping list.

He shook his head and roughly snatched it off the fridge. He knew his mother didn't mean anything by it or was probably even aware of how much Ha Ni had been working lately but still… Sometimes his mother got lost in her own dreams or desires of what she wanted and tended to railroad those around her. It was never mean-spirited but still, she was not always fully aware of how it sometimes affected others.

"First things first though," Seung Jo muttered to himself. "I will yell at Parang. Then I will yell at my mother."

When he walked into pediatrics he could see the surprise on the staff and he rolled his eyes. His earlier irritation returning slightly over how deeply Ha Ni kept her ties to him a secret. He knew she did it out of some misplaced sense of protection for him but he still didn't like the idea of being her viewed as a single woman.

And remembering his thought a few weeks back about how he was not necessarily a jealous man when it came to his wife except for Bong Joon Gu, he squirmed with a low grumble. "All right, so maybe I am slightly more primal than I thought."

"Doctor Baek," a nurse he only vaguely recognized, quickly stepped out from the desk. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"I was looking for Doctor Cheon." He said simply, "I wanted to let him know Nurse Oh won't be in today."

"Nurse Oh?" She asked in confusion. "How do you know Nurse Oh?"

"I'm her husband."

Her eyes flew open and her mouth dropped slightly. Her obvious disbelief that someone like Ha Ni could ever be married to him caused him to become instantly annoyed.

"She-she never mentioned that." The nurse stuttered. "I mean I would never have imagined you would-"

"Is Doctor Cheon here or not?" Seung Jo asked a little impatiently. Not really wanting to listen to someone else babble about how they couldn't believe Ha Ni and him were actually married due to their different academic backgrounds. Especially when he was fully aware of how competent a nurse she truly was and he once again felt a spark of annoyance at the snobbery.

"Oh umm yes." She pulled herself together and pointed to an office down the hall. "I believe he was actually trying to call her… She was supposed to be here at—"

"Yes, I know."

He walked off and shook his head with a low growl. "Does she not even wear her wedding band?"

Seung Jo knocked on the door but didn't really wait for a response before entering. His anger over the whole situation which had been playing out for the past few weeks at his wife's expense too intense for any false sense of politeness.

Doctor Cheon looked up from his desk in obvious annoyance. He was probably ten or fifteen years older than Seung Jo. Although still extremely fit and handsome so he carried the years well but there was also an arrogant edge, Seung Jo easily recognized. As though Doctor Cheon was used to walking into the room and being the smartest person there.

Something which he could identify with but unlike Doctor Cheon who simply pretended to be a charismatic genius, Seung Jo actually was one. So he was easily able to evaluate the man in front of him and decided he was really doing Parang a favor by getting rid of the incompetent moron.

"Excuse me," Doctor Cheon bit out sharply. "May I help you?"

"Doctor Cheon?"

The man nodded and Seung Jo stepped forward with a dip of his head. "I'm Doctor Baek."

His face light up in recognition as he stood up to greet him. "Doctor Baek… It's nice to finally meet you."

"Thank you."

"Please sit." He gestured to the chair and smiled warmly which would probably charm anyone who wasn't him.

"I've heard a lot about you." Doctor Cheon praised in recognition. "I understand your research on heart disease may change the way we completely look at the disease."

"One can hope," Seung Jo said smoothly and the man grinned. "I was told how modest you were."

Modest? Seung Jo inwardly rolled his eyes. There were a lot of words people used to describe him but modest wasn't even in the top ten. Hell… Even HE knew he was an arrogant bastard but he didn't currently find this a flaw since he also had the skills to back it up.

"So," Doctor Cheon spread his hands in welcome. "What do you need from pediatrics?"

"I came to talk to you about your conduct with one of your nurses."

He raised his eyebrow. "My conduct?"

Seung Jo nodded, his voice growing sharp. "Yes. Regarding Nurse Oh."

"Nurse Oh?"

"She's my wife."

The blood drained from his face as they stared at each other in new understanding. "You're married to Nurse Oh?"

"Mm-hmm."

He shifted slightly and leaned back in his chair. His attempts at playing the charming, easy-going doctor fading as he regarded him coldly.

"She never mentioned she was married to you." He said bluntly and Seung Jo titled his head. "So, I understand. But whether or not she mentioned it, it does not change the fact I am still her husband."

"Is this new?"

"Is what new?"

"Your marriage."

"Not unless you count almost four years to still be newlyweds." Seung Jo said simply and enjoyed the way he immediately tightened. "I see… So." Doctor Cheon cleared his throat uncomfortably. "I take it then you are here to discuss why Nurse Oh didn't show up for her shift this morning?"

"No."

"Her shift was supposed to start at—"

"Since this was her forty-second straight shift, I decided to change her schedule." He spoke over him with a quick snap. "You can't work a nurse every day for almost six weeks, Doctor Cheon…" He raised his eyebrow at him as he continued pointedly. "Not only is it against Parang policy but it's also just idiotic."

"I don't appreciate—"

"Not only because it puts your nurse at risk," Seung Jo continued as though he didn't hear him. "But also your patients. To have a nurse who is exhausted and unable to do her job properly due to your negligence."

"If you believe Nurse Oh has been a lack in her treatment of her patients, then that is something I will need to investigate."

"Don't threaten my wife." Seung Jo said quietly but with all the impact of a whip and Doctor Cheon immediately went silent. "You and I both know Nurse Oh is by far you a most competent member of your staff. And the only reason you have not been investigated for never checking on or even seeing your patients is because she has been running things for you."

"Doctor Wong will validate that I have been here every day." Doctor Cheon barked in righteous indignation. "I'm not sure what—"

"I doubt it since I ran into him in the elevator on my way up." Seung Jo told him with a shrug. "He mentioned how tired he was of having to cover for you and expressed concern over Nurse Oh since she has been run ragged ever since you stepped foot in pediatrics these past two months."

Seung Jo leaned forward, his anger radiating out of him. "He also mentioned that Parang has offered to send you more nurses from other departments to fill in since you are shorthanded but you keep turning them down. Instead, you simply call my wife in at all different hours by implying there is no-one else to cover the shift."

He smirked darkly. "Which tells me that if I were to start digging through your files, I would probably discover that not only have you been pocketing the extra payroll hours so you can play golf but also embezzling the funding they initially gave you to hire more staff in the first place."

Doctor Cheon sputtered in outrage even as he grew pale and Seung Jo leaned back in his chair with a knowing smile. "I kept wondering why you were so short-handed every time Ha Ni mentioned it. I knew when they brought you on as the head of the department that Parang also granted pediatrics a large portion of funding in order to hire more staff after a few of their senior nurses retired over the summer."

"You can't prove that."

"No?" Seung Jo said smugly. "Don't you think the board will find it odd when I tell them you have been so shorthanded that you have worked a nurse well beyond hospital regulations? Don't you think they will start investigating and also wonder why their money is currently gone if there has been no actual hiring?"

Doctor Cheon glared at him as Seung Jo stood up calmly. "Now, I will give you an hour to tell them yourself. You can probably negotiate to just losing your license and avoid criminal charges if you offer to return the money. If not, I will go to the board."

He gave him a significant smirk. "And if I talk to them, I will ensure that not only do you lose your license but you will also spend a significant amount of jail time as well."

"You arrogant son of a bitch." Doctor Cheon hissed furiously and Seung Jo raised his eyebrow mockingly. "And here I thought I was being modest?"

When he walked into the house a few hours later, Seung Jo felt highly satisfied. Doctor Cheon had been escorted out Parang and knowing he was the one responsible for getting rid of him helped ease some of the guilt he carried for being gone so long. He was surprised though to see Ha Ni up waiting for him since he half expected her to just stay in bed all day.

"When did you wake up?" Seung Jo asked as he came into the kitchen and she gave him a wane smile. "About an hour ago. Where did you go?"

"To Parang."

She tilted her head with an amused expression. "You had them fire Doctor Cheon, didn't you?"

"Mm-hmm."

"You didn't have to go that far," Ha Ni chuckled and he shook his head, leaning down to kiss her cheek. "He was also embezzling funding."

Her eyes went wide. "He was?"

Seung Jo nodded. "It's why you're still so short-staffed. He was supposed to hire at least four or five more nurses last month.

"Humph." Ha Ni rolled her eyes. "No wonder I didn't like him."

Seung Jo grinned and began to grab the makings of tea since he could tell she was battling another migraine. She always got them when she had not been sleeping well.

"Tonight is Eun Jo's science fair." Ha Ni told him with a smile. "And since I am not working, I can go and see his volcano explode properly."

"He said you helped him with it. He called me a few weeks ago asking for some advice but without me being here to see the problem, I wasn't much help."

Seung Jo placed her cup down and remembering something, he looked at her curiously. "He also mentioned you were sporting a new look. What was it? Your hair isn't cut or anything."

She hesitated briefly before sighing and held her hand out for her phone. "I guess I can show you now."

She pulled up a photo and he couldn't help but laugh. "Even your hair—"

"Yes, I know." Ha Ni rolled her eyes but he could tell she didn't really mind. "Eun Jo was struggling with his chemicals in case you couldn't tell."

Seung Jo leaned over the counter to grin at her. "I like you blue."

"You should have been here then. It took me a week to scrub it fully off." Ha Ni laughed and as he began to clean up their dishes, she rose to wrap her arms around his waist, kissing the top of his spine. "Hi."

"Hi," Seung Jo looked over his shoulder in amusement. "What was that for?"

"For beating up mean doctors for me."

"Hmm." Seung Jo turned to reverse their hold with a small sigh. "Well, don't thank me yet. I still have a few people left on my list."

"Don't yell at your family. It wasn't their fault." Ha Ni told him somberly. "Everyone's schedules just kind of collided at the same time."

"Maybe," he agreed quietly. "But I don't like how they just expected you to pick up the extra details because of it."

"That was kind of my fault," Ha Ni confessed with a wince. "Geum Hee asked if I wouldn't mind helping and despite already working so much, I didn't want to let her down so I agreed."

Seung Jo nodded and lightly smacked her bottom. "I know. You need to learn to say no to people."

Ha Ni made a face. "But it makes me feel bad."

He shook his head with a sigh. Ha Ni's desire for everyone in her life to be happy sometimes went too far and this is where they balanced each other. Whereas Seung Ju never had a problem setting boundaries or telling people no, his wife struggled. Ha Ni balanced him in other ways but on that score, it was him who usually made sure people were not taking advantage of her kind nature. Whether it be accidentally like his family sometimes, or purposefully like Parang.

"So tell me and I will say no." Seung Jo told her seriously and she nodded with a twinkle. "Well let's try it now then… Your mom called and asked if I could go to the market?"

"No."

"Okay," Ha Ni grinned up at him with a slight squeeze. "See, we work well together."

"Hmm," Seung Jo chuckled and bent down to kiss her softly. "I won't yell at them but I am going to let them know they need to let you rest for a while. And I don't like that no-one noticed how worn out you were becoming."

Ha Ni nodded and they swayed slowly together. "I'm glad your home."

Seung Jo kissed her again. "Me too." He ran his hand over her hair, and once again reflected on how much had missed her. How boring the conference seemed and how suffocating the quiet had gotten to him at times. "I missed you, Ha Ni."

Her eyes softened in understanding and cupped his face with a gentle murmur. "No more six weeks."

Seung Jo dipped his hands under her sweater to brush along her ribs. His voice low as he bent down to whisper against her lips with a satisfied smile. "No more six weeks."
