Too Human

Nagisa knew this was inevitable, but he didn't think it would be so... inconviniencing. See, the problem with sharing a room for Nagisa, is that, Nagisa doesn't sleep with other people (threats) around. He thinks he still has some trust issues, but probably not. He's just... cautious.

He's pissed off now, because he's missing value healing time by not sleeping. He'll have to do when he's awake, but that's tiring.

So now everyone's sleeping soundly after a day of, again, trying to kill the octopus, and Nagisa is rethinking his life choices, because damn can these guys snore. Nagisa thinks he was probably like that before his life went to shit.

Once he's certain everyone won't wake up, he pulls the blankets off, gets dressed and leaves. No, he's not going to practice magic, because that's not his class, sdo he's going to murder innocent people on the street. Sike, he's actually just gonna play with a (real) knife.

He slides the door across, hoping to God it isn't as noisy as these guys are (seriously, they sound like steam trains) and let's out a breath of relief that he didnt know he was holding when nobody wakes up.

The air is cold, typical for night, but he doesn't shiver, because he doesn't feel it. He pulls out a knife from his inventory (because he has that now), and starts slashing air. He grins, creepily, because he's imagining a person's throat right there before him, sliced up and bleeding.

He loses himself in the madness for a second.

"You shouldn't be up this late"

The voice shocks him, and he's instantly on edge, spinning around and aiming the knife at whoever spoke's neck. His eyes are animalistic.

"Nagisa?" A stutter. Fear. Scared. Did he cause that fear? It's delicious. Scared. Scared. They should be scared. Fear. Hilarious. Comedy. They're going to die. Die. Die.

More.

"N-Nagisa, are you ok?"

More. More. More. More more more moremoremore. More.

He doesn't realise who it is until he's on top if them, knife at their neck, but he can't bring himself to press further down, because he's weak. Weak. Weak. Weak.

Just human.

Bitch-sensei stares back at him, an uneasy determination burning in her eyes. Like she knows he can't. He can't kill her, he won't, she knows. Nagisa wants to prove her wrong, so he struggles to press the knife further to her neck. She's on the floor, she's not fighting back, because she trusts that there's still something humane, somewhere.

A hand stops his from lowering his further, and he realises it's his own, so he hisses, growls, and gets up, storing the knife away. He's blown his cover, he's let the lie out, he's threatened a teacher.

To put it simply, he's fucked.

"Fuck" He shouts, not load enough for anyone but the two of them to hear. He runs a hand through his hair, because now he's weak (human).

"You shouldn't swear, you know" Bitch-sensei says, adjusting her blonde curls, like she's not shaken, rattled, by what just happens. She is, they both know, because her hands still shake slightly.

The words are almost comedic, no, they are. So Nagisa laughs, and luckily, it's almost, if not completely, void of insanity. He can feel how bitch-sensei relaxes, and he thinks maybe his cover isn't as blown as he thought.

"Says the one" He snorts, and so does she, but he knows she's trying to cover up her fear. Not because she's scared of him, but for him. Nagisa's scared for himself too.

"Come on, you should get some sleep, but if you can't, I'll make you some hot chocolate" He almost laughs again, because it's funny how things work out. It feels too planned, but he's not complaining.

Who would've thought Bitch-sensei, assassin, mean, annoying, short-tempered, would offer hot chocolate, of all things?

NEW SKILL LEARNED: BLOODLUST. BOOSTS ASSASSINATION SKILLS BY 60% WHEN ACTIVATED. DRAWBACKS: MINOR INSANITY WHEN BEING USED. WILL YOU ACCEPT THIS SKILL?

"Sure"

He follows her, wiping at his eyes.

Human. Sane. Weak.

Happy.

Bitch-sensei did the complete opposite from what Nagisa had thought she would. She didn't avoid him, or constantly watch her back whenever he was around. She also didn't tell anyone about what happened, so Nagisa's happy, because he trusts her.

He's becoming too friendly now, too weak, too human, but he knows it doesn't end here. In the future, when he gets to have his revenge, he'll be a monster. An evil murderer, monster. Disgusting. So right now, he'll be a little more human than usual.

When he goes down for breakfast next morning, he sits at a table by himself, but the next thing he knows, Karma is next to him. He sighs and eats, and then he notices Kaede next to him, and sighs again, because that girl is constantly lying to him.

He never claimed he wasn't a hypocrite.

The next person to sit down is Sugino, then Rio, then Isogai, and slowly, the entire class is right there next him, and he wonders how they can all fit at the table. Even the teachers are there, and suddenly everyone is laughing and joking and having fun.

And Nagisa smirks to himself, which is easily passable as a sweet smile. They don't know what he's done. They don't know how many people he's killed, or lives he's ruined. They don't know what he will do. And their obliviousness is delicious.

They're sat with a monster, and they don't even realise it. He hears something snap, and suddenly everything's funny, hilarious. He wants laugh.

He'll Scare them one day.

This is exciting me now. So, when he gets freinds, happiness, and all of that, he doesn't regain his sanity, he looses it a little more. Strange, isn't it. Maybe it's the game's doing?

This is a short one, too. Sorry about that lol.
