A/n: Borrowing Characters from "The half of it"/ Killing Eve/ Damages

He takes out a bundle of shirts and throws them on the bed.

"Wow, you never throw stuff!" Liam chuckles.

"I know, but we need to get through this quickly! the LGBTQ dance is a week from Monday!" Mason paces around the room. "I haven't even asked Corey about clothing choices! What's his choice of colour for me? Is he a tuxedo kind of guy? God! I should have asked him!"

"Mase just dress..."

"You I may as well text him...oh...oh...I see..." He's typing, then shakes his head and throws the phone gently on the bed. Liam doesn't have to say anything. He can sense the confusion and embarrassment flooding his nostrils...

"The only reason I didn't tear Corey's door down is because Mase said it would make him look desperate!" Liam seethes. He's sitting with his Alpha and Stiles in their apartment. Well, it was in Scott's name, but his friend stayed over all the time.

"What a shitbag! I've never trusted him. Sure I had to trust him with my life once, but Corey has always been...a little sketchy!" Stiles nods with the beta. "So I take it Mase is dragging you along to this thing?" He asks.

"Mase doesn't want that. He wants to go with a guy that's into him, so.. like have a proper date" He shrugs.

"I wwoooonndder who can offer him that?" Stiles asks, glancing at Scott. His friend doesn't realize until Liam's eyes bore into him like lasers.

"Woah...why are you both looking at me like that?" Scott asks, finishing off his peanut butter toast.

"Scotty! I know my dad's got you all tied up in Oksana litigation, but have you been listening to anything?"

"Sure he has" Liam says with his eyebrows raising. "The same way that I feel his heart skip a beat every time that we say his name..."

"Liam! Don't be ridiculous!" Scott scoffs.

"Like the ridiculous time you found out Corey asked Mason out. You moved back to Melissa's and watched days of our lives all day. Living off Chinese for two weeks?" Stiles tuts.

"Or the times I used to bring Aster for couples night, and you asked me to bring Mase instead?" Liam adds.

"Or the gifts you've been getting Mase every valentines that Corey keeps taking credit for?" Stiles nudges his friends arm with his elbow.

"No! You're the muffin maestro!" Liam gasps.

"No...no way!" Soctt lies.

"Scotty don't be so shy! Every Valentine's day he sends him a custom made muffin!"

"Every Valentines? Dude, Scott's been sending him sweet shit at least three times a week!"

"Three times a week? Scott you don't buy me jack-"

"I'm done with breakfast guys! Gotta get to work!" Before Scott's even pushed the wooden stool in Liam's by his side. Staring at him with a slightly worried look on his face "So?" He asks hopefully.

"So?" Scott repeats.

"Are you gonna ask him out, or do I have to steal your phone...again?" Stiles asks.

"I'll...I'll get on it"

"You mean get on him Scotty, I mean, when's the last time you got any action anyway?"

"Stiles! This isn't some hook up. This is my best friend we're talking about!" Liam reminds them both as he disappears out the window.

"To be honest I've got so much of Patty's workload that I-"

"You can't use Patty as an excuse dude! When is the next time you're gonna spend alone time with Masie? He gets in these loooooonng ass relationships and your left pining for the next ten years!"

"What if he doesn't see me like that?" Scott asks, his eyes flicking from normal to red in worry. "What if he's gotten a better offer? He deserves the best! What if he says no?"

"Then it's his loss!"

"Yeah?"

"Hell yeah, now go out there, bang on Mason's door and tell him he's got a freaking date!" Stiles yells.

"Yeah!" Scott yells back with confidence, pushing himself off of the counter he races towards the door.

"Buddy!" Stiles shouts. "Before you get your seductive trousers on, you may wanna put actual trousers on?" He points. His friend looks down and realises he only has boxers on, along with his cereal spoon in his palm. After, he changes into actual work trousers and replaces the spoon with a briefcase, he drives over and knocks on Mason and Liam's place. He straightens his tie as he knocks, quickly putting a mint in his mouth. He straightens his tie as the door opens.

"Hey!"

"Hi...hey?" Mason pauses, confused. "Haven't you got work?" He asks.

"Yeah, I just uhh...heard about Corey...the dance thing...I...I know how much you were looking forward to it..." Scott starts off.

"Yeah, but I can't let that stop me right? I don't want to bore Liam to death, so I might go alone" Mason nods.

"Alone?" Scott's voice gets high pitched as he imagines his crush sitting on the sidelines in some hall watching couples make out. There was no way he could let that happen! "You don't have to go to that dance alone okay? There are so many guys that would literally bite their own arm off to date you...I mean take you...just as a friend... you know?" Scott splutters, but Mason doesn't seem to notice.

"You're right! I may as well bite the silver bullet and ask him out!" Mason grins getting out his phone.

"Him?...who?"

"Sure, Brett. I'll have to play it cool though. He's got the most intense stare that I've ever..."

"You're gonna ask Brett?"

"Yes?"

"Talbot?" Scott asks.

"Yes? I know he's out of my league in every way..."

"Yes, but I never thought-"

"So you do think he's way out of my league? He's SO hot. And I'm so hideous that I shouldn't even try? Right?" Mason barks.

"Yea-no, that's so not what-"

"You're supposed to just think things like that Scott. You're never supposed to say them, man, thanks for the support" Mason sighs unhappily as he softly shuts the door. The alpha waits until he's upstairs before he places his palm against his door.

"Way to go, that went well" He curses at himself as he rocks on his heels and walks slowly to the car, knowing that he's super late for work...
