This chapter was dedicated to my good friend, MsterClass60. Aria belongs to MasterClass60, SmurfAggie belongs to me. The song here and lyrics don't belong to me. MasterClass60 based the song from Trolls: The Beat Goes On. Enjoy this chapter
SmurfWillow and SmurfStorm made it back to Smurf Village after returning from their journey to Smurfy Grove to retrieve important stuff.
"Thank you for accompanying me to go back to Smurfy Grove, SmurfStorm," SmurfWillow said thankfully.
"It's not a problem, Willow," SmurfStorm smiled bravely, "Wherever you go, it's my duty to protect you."
"It's not so important, but I have to retrieve this book so Papa Thing can test this out."
"Hm, old man with magic, huh? He likes to test magic from books."
"I better meet up with him. You can enjoy the rest of the day, SmurfStorm," Willow told her before walking away to meet with Papa Smurf, "You deserve it."
"Thank you, SmurfWillow," SmurfStorm waved at Willow, then turned and talked to herself, "Now to find my friends."
She walked down the path of Smurf Village to find her friends around
"Hmm, nothing new around here," She said to herself, "Guess I didn't miss anything."
Suddenly, she was surprisingly approached by her younger sister Aria, and new friend SmurfAggie.
"Hi SmurfStorm!" They greeted her in unison.
SmurfStorm was a bit rattled, "Hi, Aria. Hi, SmurfAggie. Did you rehearse before deciding to see me?"
"What makes you think we practiced?" SmurfAggie and Aria asked at the same time
Aria stifled a laugh behind a hand, then let it grow into a guffaw while leaning besides SmurfAggie. "Sorry. Me and Aggie are just messing around," She laughed and nudged at her friend, "Like we do.
"Since when?" SmurfStorm was puzzled
"Oh, SmurfStorm simply had a momentous time together these past four days. You could say it was…" SmurfAggie snickered before saying, "Fanny!"
Aria let out a loud laugh while holding her stomach with her arm, "Biggest fan!"
"Just gone with the wind!" Aggie added a funny pun.
"Good one, Aggie!"
The two smurf-friends High-fived at each and laughed out out loud, which SmurfStorm watched in confuse
"It is?" She asked
"Kind of an inside joke. You wouldn't really get it unless you were there," Aria said.
SmurfStorm just smiled weakly "Oh…okay."
"Cool! Well, uh…catch you later, SmurfStorm," Aria Smurf waved at her older sister
"Yeah, see ya!" SmurfAggie added before she and Aria walked away while laughing.
SmurfStorm was still confused about the joke that her younger sister and SmurfAggie laughed about.
Later, SmurfStorm made it to Smurfette's house as she knocked on the door before opening it.
"Smurfette!"
She looked around, and saw Smurfette arranging her clothes in the closet.
"SmurfStorm! You've returned from your errands with SmurfWillow," She put her clothes back in the closet.
When SmurfStorm entered the house, SmurfLily, SmurfMelody and SmurfAggie were surprisingly behind her.
"Hi SmurfStorm!" SmurfAggie smiled, "Man, this is kind of a coincidence that we meet each other again after few minutes ago,"
"Weren't you just with—" Before Storm can tell Aggie she was with aria earlier, but SmurfLily interrupted her
"Hi, SmurfStorm! How was SmurfWillow? And how was your errand with her when you got back to Smurfy Grove?"
"It was good," Storm smiled.
SmurfMelody smothered a giggle while tossing a glance back towards Aggie, "Did you have so much 'fan'?"
She, Smurfette, SmurfLily and SmurfAggie broke into a round of laughs.
"Have so much "fan"? Smurfette giggled, "Oh, SmurfMelody, you're a card!"
"Oh, please. You'll make me blush,"
"No, seriously, you are a…" SmurfAggie started to imagine as she summoned an electric fan with a magic "poof" in Smurfette's house, which blew on SmurfMelody's face, "FAN!"
This scene brought a hearty laugh from Smurfette and SmurfLily, and SmurfMelody joined in demurely while holding on Smurfette's tea table for her life when the giant fan was still blowing on her face as SmurfStorm starred in total confusion.
"Oh, sorry, Storm. You see, we were at Smurf Forest and, uh, uh…oh, how to explain?" SmurfLily tried to recall what happened, but she almost did remember.
"Well, let me try and paint her a picture," SmurfAggie summoned a palette and an easel-supported canvas, where Aggie started painting the Smurf Forest. Her voice became soft, like a narrator telling a story in a dark scary room, "You see, we were all at Smurf Forest, playing, until Gargamel showed up, and I did something to—" She turned back to her normal voice, adding up playful tone, "Oh, who am I kidding? I simply can't do it justice. You really had to be there."
"We would've invited you to come along too, but we know how important SmurfWillow needs your help to get back to Smurfy Grove to retrieve an important book," SmurfMelody explained, after escaping from the winds of the giant fan.
"And I'm sure it was much more important than the fun that we had. Like you said, hard work and training is more important to defend ourselves and survive," Aggie recalled.
"I appreciate that." SmurfStorm made a fake smile, "I should better get going before…"
But no one's been paying attention to SmurfStorm as SmurfAggie switched the electric fan on again, and the girls were having fun feeling the wind blowing on their faces.
SmurfStorm walked back down the path of the village, talking about her feelings to herself, "Hmm, Aria bonding with SmurfAggie more than usual, Smurfette, SmurfLily and SmurfMelody finding something she did genuinely funny? Must have been some weekend," She got the feeling that she felt jealous for missing out the fun her friends had with Aggie, but she snapped out of her though "No, I don't feel sorry that I missed it!"
Suddenly, she heard some laughter from Hefty's house.
SmurfStorm rushed into Hefty's house, and burst in, "Why are you guys laughing?"
Ahead, Clumsy and Hefty curled on the floor, laughing vigorously when SmurfAggie rode on a mechanical wild beetle, "Oh, we're just recalling what we did while you were gone," SmurfAggie explained.
"Tell them about when you rode that wild Beetle Bull!" Hefty told Clumsy
It was so crazy, I had a grub cow!" Clumsy burst out a loud laughter that he could hold.
Both boys and SmurfAggie laughed so hard at that moment.
"I guess that's funny?" SmurfStorm was a little confused.
"Aw, man, SmurfStorm. We haven't even asked how your weekend went," Hefty said.
"It was fine."
"And yet you look so glum," SmurfAggie jumped off the mechanical beetle, and opened her arms to hug Storm, "Does somesmurf need a huggy-wuggy?"
"I am not glum" Storm pushed her back, "I'm glad. I'm glad you all had such a good time together. Having inside jokes can really create a lasting bond between friends."
"I'm just sorry that all this bonding happened while you were out helping SmurfWillow," SmurfAggie felt pit for her fellow female smurf.
"Oh, don't you worry about SmurfStorm," Clumsy told Aggie, then looked at Storm, "Bet you were glad to help SmurfWillow and gave you a day off."
"I'm sure I had just as much fun when helping SmurfWillow as the rest of you." SmurfStorm smiled, but slightly strained.
SmurfStorm was sitting on a bench, wanting to be alone. She couldn't believe she wasn't there when her friends were having a lot of fun.
"I can't believe I missed out on all that bonding!"
She scolded herself as she wished she could go back in time to see it for herself.
Suddenly, Aria, Smurfette, SmurfLily, SmurfMelody, SmurfAggie, Hefty, and Clumsy came together, and laughed when they recalled what happened during 4 days.
SmurfAggie started, "Hey, you guys, remember when Gargamel crashed into a tree because of my…," She snickered a little, holding her laughter, "My…"
"That fan of yours?" Hefty guessed
"That's right!" Aggie exclaimed.
The 7 smurfs laughed again. SmurfStorm tried to cover her ears from hearing all that laughter that she didn't understand, but she couldn't take it anymore.
""But it's still not funny!" She snapped.
"It's funny if you were there," SmurfLily said.
"But I wasn't there!" SmurfStorm shouted with growing rancor, stomped her foot, slowly teared up. The seven smurfs fell silent, "I wasn't included! Maybe it's my own fault for volunteering to help Willow retrieve her book from Smurfy Grove when I could've been making jokes and memories and having a great time with my friends! But I didn't do that, did I? You all did! You were all there, but…" She snapped out of the fit at last and straightened up with a nearly inaudible gasp, taking in the profoundly concerned looks on the seven unlikely buddies' faces, "I wasn't there. I missed out."
She couldn't let her friends see she was crying as she ran off. The rest of the smurfs glanced at each other in worry for SmurfStorm.
Aria kept trekking through the forest, trying to find Smurfstorm. As she pulled a bush to the side, she saw her older sister sitting on a flat rock, looking glumly at the river, her saddened reflection visible to her. Aria slowly walked up to her as Smurfstorm looked and noticed Aria coming towards her before looking back at the river.
Aria asked, "Is this seat taken," as she sat next to Smurfstorm. The warrior Smurf remained silent as Aria asked, "Look, Stormer, as not only your best friend, but your little sister, I have to ask: What's going on? You haven't been yourself since returning back to the village. If something is bugging you, you can tell me, and I can help you however I can."
Smurfstorm sighed as she responded with, "Kid, I love you, but honestly, the last thing I need is to be around anyone while like this. So, do you mind leaving me alone?"
Aria was concerned as she said, "Ok, you may have been gone for a couple of days, but I know you better than anyone. When you say you want to be alone, you want to talk to me. So, unless you have some dire reason to be alone, I am staying."
Smurfstorm grimaced in frustration as she replied through slightly gritted teeth, "Ari, I do not want to snap at you, but I just need to be alone for a while. So please, can you come by later?!"
Her tone of voice made Aria skeptical as she crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, saying, "Ok, how about you cut it out and tell me what's wrong, Stormer. You always tell me everything! What's bothering you"?!
Smurfstorm balled up her fist as she angrily stood up, shouting, "Can't you just get off my back and leave me alone?! If you want to talk with someone, why don't you talk with Aggie or your other friends because you seem to love spending time with them recently than with me!"
Aria jumped back in fear, but despite the hesitation, she could tell what was going on right off the bat. The look in Smurfstorm's eyes said it all. She asked, "Stormer, are you...jealous?"
Seeing her little sister almost shaking in fear, she looked at her hands before taking a deep breath, calmly replying, "Sorry for scaring you, kiddo. And to answer your question...yes, I have been feeling...jealous recently."
Aria ceased her hesitancy as she asked, "You are, but why? You already know that Aggie and the others are great friends with us."
Smurfstorm shook her head while saying, "I'm not jealous of them, I'm jealous that you've been having fun with them...and without me. While I was out on that errand, I missed you and was hoping to spend time with you once I returned. However, after seeing you guys have so much fun without me and sharing that fan inside joke...I felt left out. I thought you wouldn't want to spend time with me at all."
Aria placed a comforting hand on Smurfstorm's shoulder as she said with sincerity, "So, this is what's been bothering you? Stormer, I love hanging out with my friends, and I love hanging out with Aggie, but I love to spend time with you the most. Even if we aren't doing anything together, I still keep you closest to my heart and always want to be with you. It's like I said before: No Smurf could ever replace you because you are my older sister and best friend for life. Always have been, always will be, and I am sorry if you felt left out. If you had spoken up earlier instead of keeping to yourself, we would've been happy to let you join in."
Smurfstorm shuffled her feet as she replied, "I wanted to, but I didn't want to look like I was a jealous, ungrateful burden to your fun. Who am I to stand in the way and be a dark cloud in a blue sky"?
Aria shook her head as she said with a smile, "There's no way that you could ever be a burden to us. We all love you, Stormer, and to us, you will always be included in our family. You'll always be included in my life, and that's a promise I always keep. Now, we need to get you smiling again before returning to the village, and there's only one way to do it."
She began to hum a familiar melody as Smurfstorm giggled while facepalming, saying, "Our special sister song? We haven't sung it since our smurfling years."
Aria grinned while saying, "Come on, you know you love it and want to do it just as much as I do." Smurfstorm playfully rolled her eyes and smiled as the two began to dance and sing together.
Aria: You'll be seeing us together day and night!
Smurfstorm: She and I, birds of a feather, yeah we're flying high!
Both: Ain't nothing can come between us, we so tight. Not brothers, but we feel. Our friendship is so real!
You and I, yeah, we feel the love, 'cause we found that thing we've been dreaming of. Always up, yeah, we're never down. We up in the clouds. Nothing like our together time 'cause deep down, I like everything you like. And it made me realize.
You are the one, the one, the one, the one! Oh! You are the one, the one, the one, the one! Yeah! We don't even got to try. We always sisters for life! 'Cause you are the one, the one, the one, the one! Yeah, you are my favorite Smurf! Ooh, ooh.
Aria: When I'm with you, I feel like a better me!
Smurfstorm: We can laugh and cry, it's always perfect harmony!
Both: Just so natural, everything comes with ease. Yes, we share DNA, a happy family!
You and I, yeah, we feel the love, 'cause we found that thing we've been dreaming of. Always up, yeah, we're never down. We're up in the clouds. Nothing like our together time 'cause deep down, I like everything you like. And it made me realize.
You are the one, the one, the one, the one! Oh! You are the one, the one, the one, the one! Yeah! We don't even got to try. We are always sisters for life! 'Cause you are the one, the one, the one, the one! Yeah, you are my favorite Smurf! Ooh, ooh.
Aria and SmurfStorm shared a hug.
Meanwhile, back in Smurf Village, Smurfette, SmurfLily, SmurfMelody, SmurfAggie, Hefty and Clumsy were playing some games, until aria and SmurfStorm arrived in front of them.
"SmurfStorm, you came back!" SmurfMelody cheered.
"Listen, SmurfStorm, we're sorry if we made you feel left out," SmurfAggie apologized since she started the fun without SmurfStorm
"You didn't do anything wrong. You're allowed to share things that don't include me," SmurfStorm hung her head down in guilt.
"And you're allowed to feel a little jealous about it," SmurfLily said.
"You just have to be able to admit that that's what you're feeling so you can let it go," Smurfette added.
"Yeah," Storm nodded, "I guess that's the lesson I learned today,"
"Do you still want to hear what we did while you're gone?" Hefty asked.
"Ooh, can I tell her? Please!" Clumsy volunteered excitingly.
The rest of the smurf looked at SmurfStorm if she agreed.
"Sure." She answered.
The smurfs then sat on the bench together as Clumsy told the story, "Okay. We went to Smurf Forest to play for a bit, then Gargamel showed up…"
Special thanks again to MAsterClass60 for helping me this chapter. Enjoy the rest of the day everyone 😊
