Chicago Fire
Title: Birds
Synopsis: Gabby contracted the Covid-19 virus in Puerto Rico and is in serious condition.
Hi!
I will probably receive hateful criticism for that, but before they throw their stones, let me say, I love Gabby, however, she was not a goddess (as I have heard many say), just a woman with a strong personality with flaws and qualities .
Gabby was an incredible and professional woman in everything she did. She had no limits on getting what she wanted and had no consequences for her decisions, be they professional or personal.
I believe that she would be on the front lines and would do anything to save lives, even if it means herself risking the virus.
This is a tribute to all health professionals who lost their lives in the fight to save patients infected with Covid-19.
The title of this little tale is from the song Birds by Imagine Dragons, which I suggest you listen to while reading.
Finally, English is not my mother tongue, so I apologize for the spelling erros.

I could hear the sound of the breathing apparatus, the confused murmurs and the certainty of feeling my life draining away.
Being on the front line when caring for Covid-19 patients in serious condition, had high risks even of being infected by the virus.
Everything I did, all the decisions I made, took me here, with the sole purpose of saving everyone I can.
Just as many patients speak when facing death closely, you see your life passing before your eyes.
Your regrets.
Your fears.
His happy and sad moments.
Their loves and their disappointments.
I did everything I could and beyond.
I do not regret anything.
Everything I did I thought about my goals.
Perhaps some decisions were based on an attempt to escape my problems, or simply a decision based on the goal of saving lives only.
And if I had to sacrifice something, in the end it was worth it.
I was told that I was unstoppable, obstinate.
However, it took a macabre virus to leave a trail of death and despair, to realize that I can be stopped.
Everything went by like a black-and-white film spinning fast, to the point that the images began to glow incandescently and disappear into darkness.
Covered by the immensity of the void, I could feel something I wanted, but I never really managed ... to fly freely.
