I never want to see you again!

You cal yourself a sensei? You don't even know what a sensei is.

You let them down when they needed you the most.

If he dies, that's on you!

You see? That's the thing, you don't care…

"Would you like another beer?"

A pair of blue eyes blinked for a couple of seconds. The owner of them was a bit disoriented.

"What?"

The lady standing in front of him posted at the Coors that was gripped by his numbed palm. The client looked over at it. It was his sixth bottle, and it was already empty. He could easily go on until all of his system would be filled with nothing but alcohol.

"No, I'm cool."

The woman with the brunette hair said nothing else and continued bartending.

Ever since Johnny found this tavern near the construction where he found a temporary job, he always seated himself at the far end of the front bar and spent half of his money on beer. It was the only thing that helped him cope with all those thoughts that kept haunting his mind.

Almost a year has passed since he left California, almost a year since the accident had happened. He couldn't let himself look back and remember what he did. How many lives had he fucked up?

"You know what? Forget about what I said earlier. I'll take another one."

Before he managed to finish his sentence, a new cold bottle was already placed between his fingers.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

He took a long swig from it, and his ears were drowned by the chattering of the people that surrounded him.

A few hours had passed for the establishment to be half empty. Even if he wasn't eager to head towards the cramped flat where he was living, Johnny knew that his time of departure had arrived. He dragged his feet towards the exit and, as he opened the door, a chilling breeze smacked his unshaved chin.

"Jeez, what's with the thing of getting hit in the face?"

Just when he took a first step outside, a heated argument erupted behind his back and caught his attention. Johnny looked over his shoulder to see where the conflict was being taken. A big hairy guy was towering over a skinny waiter who was shaking as if a terrorized deer was standing in front of a raging bear.

"Are you deaf, or what? I said get me another round!"

"I-I'm sorry, sir, but we're no longer serving. We've just closed".

The altered man grabbed the startled fellow's collar and spoke through his gritted teeth. "The fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"He means you're no longer getting any booze, Sal."

The female bartender was now walking towards the commotion. She stood a few inches away from the men with her arms crossed.

"Aw, c'mon! The hell does it matter if I stay a little longer?"

Don't interfere, don't interfere. Keep going, it's none of your business…

As the drunk dude started to head towards the woman, someone caught him by his shoulder and turned him around. He growled when his sight felt upon the blonde stranger that had arrived at the former's hometown out of nowhere.

"Hey, just do what she said."

Sal spat at the floor and closed the space between them while his breath slapped Johnny's nostrils.

"What?"

"Are you deaf, or what?"

Johnny's jacket got caught up by a pair of hairy paws.

"Are you making fun of me, prick?"

"No, I'm just repeating the lady's request in case your brain didn't get it, asshole".

Unfortunately, Johnny's senses where not at their best due to all the alcohol that was running through his veins. That's why he didn't react fast enough to dodge the fist that collided with his jaw.

He stumbled back but managed to stable his balance. His icy glare was now sparkling with anger.

"What are you going to do now, Goldilocks?"

Johnny's knuckles cracked when his hand curled into a fist that shook as if it was about to explode. Just when he was about to attack, a familiar voice invaded his thoughts.

Before Miguel met you, he was a sweet boy who avoided fights.

The former sensei froze. Remembering Miguel's unconscious body lying in the hospital made him zone out, unaware that his opponent was directing a broken glass towards his face.

Johnny finally came out of his trance as he heard an agonizing scream. He didn't know if he was dreaming or hallucinating. The once intimidating giant was now on his knees crying like a little boy. His arm was bent in a triangle shape while his wrist was locked by a snowy hand.

"Sal, you know I don't like when others attack my coworkers or clients", spoke the bartender.

"Ah! I-I- I'm sorry!"

"And?"

"I won't bother you, Jimmy, or your clients!"

She released him. His wobbly knees supported him while he limped towards the exit without another word. A pair of jade orbs encountered a sapphire ones.

"Are you okay?"

Johnny scratched his temples before answering.

"Normally, in this type of scenario, it should be me asking you that question."

"Well, not in my case. But thanks for trying to help Jimmy."

Johnny looked over the scrawny guy who was being bothered a few moments ago. To be honest, he was trying to help the hot brunette rather than the loser who looked liked he still lived with his mom. He wouldn't of course tell her this.

"Yeah, well… It looks like I'm not needed here. I should better get going…"

Wait, you should at least sit down and let me check your wound."

"What, this?", he pointed at his face. Sure it stung a little, but that was nothing compered to the other fights he've been in the past.

"It's nothing. I'm okay."

"I'm sure, but you looked a bit distant right before you were about to strike back at Sal. Besides, under your conditions, I wouldn't recommend you to head home on your own."

"Look, I've done this before. You've seen me."

"Sure, but you didn't receive a punch right after you drank half of my stack of Coors".

"I said I'm…"

But he didn't manage to finish his words since his body hit the floor.

A/N: Hey, everybody! It's been quite a while since I last wrote something. Luckily, just after I've finished binge-watching Cobra Kai my brains started working on possible ideas of how the story would continue. They do know how to leave us with a cliffhanger! My idea was to finish this fic and upload it after. But, since Netflix announced the released date of the third season, I decided to start sharing it before the premiere (otherwise this writing would be a bit pointless… I guess). I hope to accomplish my goal even though I'm about to enter my second period of tests and then finals of my semester. Ah, the life of university… what a joy! (Crying internally). I hope you guys like it and feel free to share any comments!
