One by one, each smurf carefully trekked through the hole, anticipating what was on the other side. Once Team Smurf made it out the other side, the sight of the Fordibben Forest was gorgeous! The plants and animals looked so colorful, vibrant, and alive. It was a beautiful sight to see as even the smurflings were impressed, Sassette saying, "Golly, it sure is pretty out here." Aggie said, "The place can sure take your breath away." Smurfette was surprised the most from all the beautiful flowers around them. Suddenly, one flower caught her as if it ate her as everyone screamed in horror. Hefty tried to help Smurfette out, but he, along with the others, except Aria and Clumsy, got captured too. Some of the remaining flowers started to inch towards Clumsy as he softly said in a nervous voice, "Nice flowers. Nice flowers. Not nice flowers," as he tried to run, but got caught too. Aria was ducking the incoming flowers as she says, "This is the most lively bunch of Ranunculus Sputum I've ever seen"! As the flowers started to spit the smurfs out in a gamely fashion, Snappy shouted, "A what"? Aria hid behind a rock, crying back, "They're called Spitting Buttercups! They love to catch anything they see and toss it around with others"! Soon, all the smurfs were freed. However, Clumsy's landing was less than graceful.

He ended up tangled in what looked like a kissing plant, who was planting wet kisses all over him. Aggie and Aria both struggled to hold in their laughter as Clumsy commented, "Hey! Stop it! We just met"! Smurfette helped Clumsy get free, but once again, Clumsy didn't see where he was going and ended up near a punching plant. It beat him up like a punching bag and sent him flying over a steep embankment. Everyone rushed over to him as Smurfette asked, "Are you alright Clumsy"? He got up, saying, "I'm good." As Puppy came over with the smurflings, Nat looked up at the sky and saw something incredible, saying in a dazed voice, "Oh, pretty dragonflies." That got everyone to look up and notice all the flying dragonflies in the sky. They were in a diverse range of colors and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Aggie smiled, saying, "This area of the forest provides a peaceful home for wild dragonflies to live and make their nests." An orange one landed in front of Aria as for a minute, she was dazed with a memory. Gathering enough courage, she slowly petted it, both nuzzling face to face, as she said, "They're so warm...and fierce, while at the same time, pertain a gentle nature."

The orange dragonfly smiled before flying away as out of the blue, a light purple dragonfly tackled her to the ground. Everyone thought that it was trying to attack, but when Hefty got a closer look, he smiled. The dragonfly was tickling Aria with playful licks on her cheek as Aria laughed. Aggie was surprised, saying, "I think that's the first time I've seen a dragonfly be that friendly." Once Aria was able to stand, she commanded the dragonfly to do a few tricks as it did them with ease. She smiled, saying, "This fella's a feisty, but playful one. I think I'll call you...Fireball." It liked the name as it tossed Aria onto its back, wanting her to ride it. She smiled, saying, "Alright. Aggie, can you lead the way"? Aggie nodded as she flew into the sky and started leading Team Smurf through the Forbidden Forest. After some time, they came across a massive cave. Snappy said, "Smurfaroo! That's the biggest cave I've ever seen," as Slouchy added, "It sure looks spooky in there." Sassette glared at the boys, saying, "Don't be such a scaredy smurf! We'll get through it"! Aria hopped off of Fireball and looked around, finding a long piece of vine and picked it up.

She then asked, "Everyone, tie a bit of this vine around your waist," as she demonstrated first. While the others did as so, Clumsy asked, "Why do we need to tie this vine"? Brainy answered, "Obviously. It's to make sure we stick together and don't separate." Aria nodded, saying, "Something I picked up growing up in the forest. A string, rope, or vine not only helps you stay together with a group but in a pinch, it can help you find your way back." She then picked up three sticks and had Fireball light them up so they could use them as torches. She passed the other two posts to Smurfette and Hefty as the group started to walk into the cave slowly. The light from outside began to fade, showing deep darkness inside. If not for the torches, the smurfs would have been in the full, pitch-black night. Clumsy exclaimed nervously, "I don't do well in the dark. I have enough trouble in the daylight," as Aggie was growing scared too, saying, "I'm scared of the dark. You never know what might come out." Fireball did its best to comfort Aggie while Puppy made sure the smurflings were ok as well. Aria said in a calming voice, "Whenever I feel scared or nervous, singing sometimes helps. It allows me to forget about what I'm afraid of. Why don't we sing something to help us take our minds off the darkness?

Everyone, start marching"! Team Smurf, along with Fireball and Puppy, began to march in unison, their feet creating a steady beat. Snappy found two sticks and began tapping on the cave's wall like a drum. Hearing him play, Aggie starts clapping to the beat, with Smurfette joining her as well. Aria brought her guitar out and began strumming a catchy melody to go with the beat everyone was making. With an excellent musical background, Aria led the little sing-along as they trekked through the dark cave.

When I'm Gone (Pitch Perfect) by Anna Kendrick

Aria: I got my ticket for the long way 'round. Two drinks of water for the way. And I sure would like some sweet company, and I'm leaving tomorrow. What'd you say?

Aria and Aggie: When I'm gone, when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone. You're gonna miss me by my hair, you're gonna miss me everywhere, oh. You're gonna miss me when I'm gone!

All (girls): When I'm gone, when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone.

Smurfette and Sassette: You're gonna miss me by my walk, you're gonna miss me by my talk, oh.

All (girls): You're gonna miss me when I'm gone!

Aria noticed that the boys looked nervous about singing along as she said, "Join in, fellas. It's fun,"! The boys looked at each other and smiled, agreeing to join in the song as well.

Clumsy, Brainy, Hefty: I got my ticket for the long way 'round, the one with the prettiest of views. It's got mountains, it got rivers, it got sights to give you shivers, but it sure would be prettier with you.

All (smurflings): When I'm gone, when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone.

Aria: You're gonna miss me by my walk, you're gonna miss me by my talk, oh.

All: You're gonna miss me when I'm gone!

All (grown-ups): When I'm gone, when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone.

All (smurflings): You're gonna miss me by my hair, you're gonna miss me everywhere, oh.

All: You're sure gonna miss me when I'm gone!

Everyone was having so much fun singing to the song and making stellar music that they didn't notice that they were reaching the exit of the cave.

All: When I'm gone, when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone. You're gonna miss me by my walk, you're gonna miss me by my talk, oh. You're gonna miss me when I'm gone.

What made them stop was when Brainy pointed out, "Look, we've reached the cave's exit," as they all walked back outside once again. Aggie and Clumsy both smiled in happiness as Hefty said, "We were having so much fun, we didn't notice that we were reaching the end." Aria chuckled as she said, "That's the power of music. It can help neutralize fear and make things a lot more fun." As Fireball helped cut Team Smurf free from the vine, they continued their journey through the Forbidden Forest. Soon, night fell as the smurfs set up camp for the night. Aggie and Brainy were setting up the tents, Hefty was putting the wood together for the campfire, with Fireball lighting it up with ease, and Aria and Smurfette were putting smurfberries on sticks to roast them. The smurflings were playing chase with Puppy as Aggie told them to settle down, not wanting them to get hurt. With everyone sitting down, they began to roast their smurfberries as Aria said, 'I just want to say that it's great that you guys followed me here."

Smurfette smiled, saying, "Of course, we're your friends Aria," as Brainy added, "And as your friends, we love to help out however we can." Aggie even added, "Plus, it's been a while since I've had an adventure like this, so it benefits us all." Sassette then spoke up, saying, "We may be smurflings, but this is the first epic adventure we've had since we first came to the village." Clumsy then asked, "Aria, when we saw the dragonflies earlier, you looked a bit stunned before ou petted one of them. Were you alright"? Aria looked at Fireball, who smiled, as she says, "Seeing the dragonflies reminded me of another memory. The older smurf I keep remembering, she had a dragonfly with her, so, when I saw the orange one, that memory temporarily played in my mind." Snappy sat next to her, saying, "Do you think that if we find who you remember, they might want to be friends with us"? Aria shrugged, saying, "I'm sure they will want to be our friends. Now, it's getting late, and I think it's best for all of us to get some sleep." With that, every smurf turned in for the night as Aria hoped that as their journey continued, she would get closer to finding answers.
