Hello everyone! I am back! Honestly, the only reason I (originally) had the Shantae story so far back was because I had never played the games. As soon as I did, I fell in love with them. While the amount of backtracking can get very annoying, everything else is amazing. The characters, the setting, the music(I almost made Dance Through The Danger my ringtone) is all just so good! Also, the working title of this story was "Three Wishes From Down Under", but I thought this one not only was less corny, but sounded cooler. Anyways, let's get going.

"I did it!"

"No, I did!"

Mimic struggled to repress his laughter. But then again, that was part of the price to play for having kids. But was surprised him was how quick they were to defend each other. About two weeks ago, Mimic had been exploring a set of ruins when he found a young dark skinned girl. From the looks of it, she was around six. However, she was very tall for her age, as she was actually only around three. Either way, Mimic wasn't going to let her stay in the ruins. But it wasn't until after he had nearly gotten home that remembered that he already had a child. Namely, his old friend's daughter, Shantae. Shantae was a bit of a handful considering she was a half breed. Half genie, to be precise. And her powers were already beginning to develop despite being younger then Jasmine, the girl Mimic had brought home. Thankfully, the two took to each other very quickly. So much so to the point where both were willing to take the blame for a boomerang through the window.

"Listen girls. I'm not mad," Mimic said as he knelt down, putting an arm on each girl. "However, I want you both to promise that this won't happen again, okay?"

"We promise, Uncle Mimic!" Both girls chorused.

"Good! Now, why don't you show me how using that boomerang is coming along?" Mimic asked.

"Jasmine got the boom stick to come back!" Shantae revealed.

"Really?" Mimic asked. Boomerangs were not easy weapons to use, so Jasmine learning how to make it come back was impressive.

"Yeah!" Jasmine said before giving said boomerang a toss. It sailed forward, before returning back to Jasmine, who was wearing a prideful smile on her face.

"Well done Jasmine!" Mimic marveled as he clapped. "That was impressive. Why, you might be able to master that before you are a teenager!"

"Really!?" Jasmine exclaimed.

"Duh!" Shantae said as she walked over to her. "Because you are awesome!"

"No!" Jasmine replied. "You are!"

"You are!"

"You are!"

"You are!"

"You are!"

"Alright, girls! I think it's time to head back inside," Mimic said after letting the girls fight over who was more awesome for a few more minutes. "It's getting dark out and you know what happens when it gets dark?"

"It gets scary!" Jasmine replied quickly.

"And the monsters get stronger!" Shantae added in.

"Correct! Now, let's get in!" Mimic said as he led the girls in.

Considering what Mimic does during the series, him finding a boomerang is not too strange if you ask me. That will also be Jasmine's answer to Shantae's hair whip once the girls become heroes. Now, why Jasmine? Honestly, I had a lot of really good choices for Shantae, but with every other one, I found problems. I don't like Eva or Jo, I can't picture Dawn wearing an outfit that would fit in this series, Sammy was a better fit for Splatoon, same with Sky, but for Skylanders. Finally, when I landed on Jasmine, I realized that she would not only make a good fit, but I could do some interesting things with her. Anyways, next chapter will show how Jasmine gets her match for Shantae's transformations. See you then.
