If this chapter's title doesn't make sense to you, trust me, everything will be cleared up. Also, because Shantae, Jasmine and the others are all younger, none of them are dressing like how they would as teens because most children wouldn't walk around like that. So, in order, here is how everyone right now is dressing(Mimic is the same)

Jasmine: White T-shirt, capri and boots

Shantae: Red tank top, vest, non-see through pants, and her normal shoes

Sky: Tank top dress, with shorts under it, sandals and a bandanna.

Bolo: Loose shirt, shorts and sandals.

Alright, that's out of the way, so let's get going!

Mimic knew that taking four kids out to a dig site was a bad idea. But they were all pretty capable. They were 7 afterall. He had given them a simple set of rules. Namely, don't wander off too far and don't cause too much trouble. He did give them a glance every now and again and it thankfully seemed that they were willing to listen.

"What do you think is down there?" Jasmine asked as all the kids looked down a nearby hole.

"Maybe there's a big scary monster!" Bolo cheered as he raised his flail, hitting himself over the head with it. "I'm okay!"

"Maybe if you didn't always hit yourself with that, you wouldn't be so stupid!" Sky taunted him.

"I'm not stupid!" Bolo protested. "My mom said I'm smart and that I'm handsome!"

"Guys! Don't fight!" Shantae whined. Jasmine, however, had toned out the fighting. She could have sworn she saw something glowing inside the hole. She took a quick glance back at everyone. Shantae was still trying to break Sky and Bolo up and Mimic was busy working. She was a good climber anyways. If she was fast, no one would know she was going. With one more quick glance back at everyone, she slipped into the hole.

"Whoa…." Jasmine said as she looked at what was in front of her. She had seen something shiny. Namely, a necklace with what looked like animal designs on it. It was so cool! She had to have it!

"Don't touch it!" Her common sense told her. "Uncle Mimic said not to touch anything. Besides, it's just a stupid necklace and-oh cricky you are already about to put it on!" That was true. Jasmine had already grabbed the necklace off the stand it was on and was about to slip it around her neck. When she did, something changed. In an instance, the necklace revealed that it was no ordinary piece of jewelry. It told Jasmine everything. When it was over, Jasmine stood. She was still trying to process everything. But then, everything clicked.

"This is awesome," Jasmine said as she started to walk towards the way she came.

"Jasmine! Where are you!?" Shantae called out. It took everyone a few minutes, but they all realized that Jasmine had slipped off.

"I'm right here!" Jasmine said as she crawled out of the hole. Shantae practically tackled her into a hug.

"Jasmine! You better be able to explain this! We were all worried sick!" Mimic ordered. His tone was harsh, but everyone could tell it was out of worry.

"So I saw this shiny thing from inside the hole and it turned out to be this necklace and I can turn into animals!" Jasmine explained as best she could.

"You can turn into animals?" Bolo asked.

"Prove it!" Sky ordered.

"What do you want?" Jasmine asked. Shantae spoke first.

"Do a tiger!" She said, giddy to see her awesome older sister do something awesome. Jasmine stepped back and tapped the necklace. In an instance, Jasmine transformed. Standing in her place was a tiger...cub with the pattern of the necklace on it's chest.

"Oh come on!" Jasmine whined. "Why couldn't I be big!?"

"So cute!" Shantae gushed. "Also awesome but still cute!"

"Perhaps when you get bigger, your transformations will become bigger as well," Mimic theorized.

"I can live with that," Jasmine said as she turned back to normal. Then, Mimic's words clicked with her. "Wait...I can keep this!?"

"Well, you found it and you seem to know how to use it," Mimic said.

"Thank you, Uncle!" Jasmine cheered.

"Today was so awesome!" Jasmine gushed as she got ready for bed. Then she noticed Shantae looking rather upset. "Are you okay?"

"I wish I could do super cool things like you," Shantae replied. "I mean, you have your boomerang and now you can turn into animals! I can't do anything like that!"

"Well...I can't use my hair as a whip or summon fireballs," Jasmine pointed out. "And I don't think Bolo and Sky can do that either. We all can do cool stuff!"

"Thanks Jasmine!" Shantae said as she hugged her older sister. Jasmine hugged back.

Does it make sense now? Honestly, I know that no magic necklace that turns people into animals exists in game, but I needed to give Jasmine a way to keep up with Shantae. Because as awesome as she is, she can't just awesome her way into some of the stuff needed in these games. Hence, magic necklace. Anyways, next time, the girls are going to get their first jobs.
