Gamelover41592: I am doing the whole series plus one DLC campaign.

So before we start this chapter, there are a few things I need to go over. Shantae passing out last chapter was because she was taken to the Genie Realm and offered a place as a full genie(naturally, she refused). Second, the timeline of the series is a little strange so I have to be the hero and make the changes to it so everything makes sense. As such, the first game takes place during one year, Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse take place during the next, and Half-Genie Hero and Seven Sirens takes place during the year after that. Sorry, just had to clear that up, anyways, time to begin Risky's Revenge. Like I said, about a year has passed since the first game, so Jasmine is now 16 and Shantae is 15. Let's get going!

In the year that had passed since their first defeat of Risky Boots, Shantae and Jasmine found themselves facing constant challenges from monsters, all of whom wanted to beat the ones who took down the pirate queen.

"Well, they never said work as a guardian would be easy," Jasmine said with an eye roll. A small group of monsters were waiting outside the lighthouse.

"Yeah, ever since we ran Risky Boots out of town, every monster in Sequin Land wants a battle," Shantae agreed.

"Well, I see no reason not to give 'em one!" Jasmine said as she pulled out her boomerang.

Shantae just grinned as she got into a battle stance. "Well, holding back now won't help any," Sure, she was a bit out of practice, but she could still take these guys. Needless to say, the monsters fell quickly. At the end of the docks, Bolo was waiting for them.

"Hey guys, I'm off to see your uncle's show. Want to go with?" Bolo asked. Jasmine inwardly flinched. She had completely forgotten about that. But she had a cover up. Before Shantae could get a word in, Jasmine spoke up.

"I can't speak for myself because I have something totally important to go do, but I know Shantae would love to go with you," Jasmine said quickly. For her part, Shantae was just confused.

"Uh...yeah, sure," Shantae replied as she fought back a blush she knew was coming. She was torn between wanting to murder her big sister and thank her for giving her a chance to spend a little time with the guy she's liked since forever.

"Great! C'mon! Sky and Wrench flew in this morning just to see it," Bolo revealed. As she and Bolo walked off, Jasmine smirked to herself. She knew that they liked each other and hey, if she could let her little sister spend some time with the guy she liked, why should she do otherwise. As she walked back to the lighthouse, Jasmine remembered that she did have something that would match her excuse. Namely, Sky had given them an egg to look after. Jasmine ended up doing most of the work because, as she herself put it, she was better with animals. Of course, Shantae made sure to make fun of her plenty for sleeping on the egg some nights when it got cold out. Either way, she grabbed it from the makeshift nest she had built before racing back into town.

"...and firmly grasping white crystal in hand, I ducked for several seconds at what appeared to be a common cliff face until…" Mimic explained to the crowd as Jasmine walked in. Clearly, she had missed the start of the show.

"Psst!" Sky whispered to her. "You're late!"

"I was because, A. I was letting Shantae and Bolo hang out and B. I was getting this for you!" Jasmine replied back as she handed Sky back her egg.

"There's my boy!" Sky cheered as she took the egg back. "So. Did you take good care of him?"

"Did my best," Jasmine replied.

"You better have!" Sky threatened before turning back to the stage. "Oops! It's time!" Jasmine turned to see what was so special about whatever Mimic found.

"...and then with my emptied bowels replacing the treasure, I was able to outwit the pressure trap and make my escape!" Mimic explained. Jasmine, Sky and Shantae all wanted to gag a little, but kept it down to be respectful. "Citizens of Scuttle Town, may I present..this year's Object of Mystery!" Murmurs sprang up around the crowd.

"Ooooooh...MURMUR...incredible man...huge bowels...such bravery!"

"I can't even tell what it is," Bolo said to the girls.

"For once, I agree with you," Sky grumbled.

"As usual, we'll kick off the festivities by cracking open a fossilized treasure and offer the contents up for auction!" Mimic said, regaining the crowd's attention. "This year's mystery object appears to be encased in solid stone but feels quite hollow. Shall I smash it open?" The crowd began to cheer.

"Yaaaay! Do it!" Everyone exclaimed through claps. Even the four teens found themselves wondering what it was.

"Then let the festival begin!" Mimic exclaimed as he broke the stone open. Inside was a strange golden object.

"Shiny…" Bolo trailed out. Sky rolled her eyes at the display. The crowd seemed interested in what it was.

"What is that?" Shantae asked.

"Never seen anything like it," Jasmine admitted as she looked over the object.

"It looks like…" Bolo began.

"...an oil lamp?" Sky finished.

On stage, Mimic found himself at a loss on how to explain this. "Err...Uhh...Ladies and Gentlemen...my mistake! I seem to have...err, brought the wrong item. Uh, that is…" Jasmine found herself confused. What could be so bad about a gold oil lamp?

"It's okay, Uncle! Show us!" Shantae encouraged him.

"Something's not right here," Jasmine thought to herself.

"Show us!" Someone in the crowd shouted.

"Yaaay!" Cheered another.

"NO!" Mimic exclaimed, startling everyone at the outburst. " I mean...No, it's not important! Let's move to the next event...please turn your attention to-" But before he could finish that sentence, the room of the building was blown open, letting Risky Boots enter the room.

"Ho ho ho!" She cackled as she grabbed the lamp. "No need for alarm! I'm just dropping by for this!"

"RISKY BOOTS!" Shantae and Jasmine both exclaimed as they crossed their arms, right for a fight.

"In the flesh!" Risky taunted. "Your spelunking uncle is always digging up new collectables, but this one! Well, this takes the cake, doesn't it?"

"It's just a worthless lamp!" Jasmine shouted. As worthless as it may have been, she didn't like it when people stole Mimic's treasures.

"Yeah! Put it back before there's trouble!" Shantae said, backing up her sister.

"Tsk tsk," Risky replied dismissively with a hand wave. "You have no idea the trouble that is in store!" She then turned to the Tinkerbats working the anchor she had used to drop in. "Heave ho men! Hoist my booty through the roof! And put your backs into it!" With that, she made her escape.

"No!" Mimic exclaimed. "That lamp is extremely dangerous! Sky, Bolo, Jasmine! One of you catch her before she reaches the dock!"

"What about Shantae?" Jasmine asked.

"Yeah! I can handle this!" Shantae added in. With that, the two rushed out.

"No sign of Risky Boots or her pirate ship!" Jasmine exclaimed as they reached the docks.

"If we've lost her, we're never going to live it down!" Shantae pointed out. Much to both girls' relief, said pirate ship sailed right up to them.

"Yoo hoo!" Risky taunted. "Looking for me?"

"Risky!" Shantae exclaimed. "We'll give you one last chance to hand over the lamp!"

"If not, things are going to get ugly!" Jasmine added in, already readying both her necklace and boomerang.

"They're going to get ugly alright!" Risky replied, showing she was perfectly ready for a fight. "Let's see how you handle my brand new Steam Powered Oceanic Tinker Tub!" With that, Risky's ship jumped out of the water, revealing a pair of mechanical legs, eyes and a mouth.

"Well...that's new," Was all Jasmine could say.

"Lock and load men!" Risky ordered. "It's time for Risky's Revenge, so let's attack aggressively! Ho ho ho!" In spite of its size, Shantae and Jasmine quickly found that the Tinker Tub was not as scary as it looked. Whenever it opened its mouth to use an explosive, Jasmine or Shantae would hit it, forcing it back into the water, where it would fire easy to dodge cannonballs. Rinse and repeat. It would also sometimes charge, but even then, that wasn't much of a problem.

"Not so bad this time," Jasmine snarked once the mech/ship collapsed on the deck.

"Not bad!" Risky admitted. "You've both clearly learned a thing or two since our last duel. But no matter. With this lamp, I've finally got the means to crush Sequin Land once and for all!"

"Not if we can help it!" Shantae vowed. Jasmine just nodded her head.

"Till then...play with this!" Risky exclaimed before firing a cannonball, blasting Shantae head on. She passed out as Risky made her getaway.

"SHANTAE!" Jasmine exclaimed. "C'mon, c'mon, wake up!" It took a while, along with Mimic joining up with them, for Shantae to finally wake up.

"...She got away…" Shantae finally groaned out as she woke up.

"Stay still, leave things to your sister, Sky and Bolo!" Mimic ordered.

"But…" Shantae began. But before she could reply any further, the mayor walked up.

"Well, this is a fine how do you do!" He snapped. "Lying down on the job while that pirate runs pell-mell all over my town?"

"We can explain!" Jasmine said quickly.

"Ever since this pirate thing started, Scuttle Town's been going to the dogs!" He continued, Jasmine's pleas falling on deaf ears.

"Mayor Scuttlebutt!" Mimic exclaimed, ready to stand up for his two charges. "Please understand, the two of them are doing everything possible!"

"Phooey with Half-Genies and amazons!" He snapped. "We're a whole town, we need complete protection! You're both fired!"

"WHAT!?" Mimic and Jasmine exclaimed.

"You can't mean it!" Shantae added her, her head now back in the game.

"I do!" He replied bluntly. "And that's my final word on the matter! Now get going! I'm a busy man!"

"We live here!" Jasmine pointed out.

"Whatever!" Scuttlebutt called over his shoulder.

"Well," Jasmine said snidely. "He was in rare form!"

"He'll change his mind once we get that lamp back!" Shantae vowed. Jasmine grinned. That was a good plan if she ever heard one.

"No! I forbid you from going!" Mimic replied.

"Now you're acting weirder then the mayor," Shantae replied bluntly.

"What's so bad about that lamp that's got you all worked up?" Jasmine asked, her arms crossed. If Mimic wanted her to take his side, then she wanted answers.

"I...I can't tell you!" Mimic replied.

"Why not?" Jasmine asked, now confused as to why they couldn't know this.

"I promised Shantae's mother to never speak of it," Mimic replied. "That lamp caused her a lot of suffering back in the day. Trust me, it's trouble. And better left forgotten."

"You could at least tell me why Risky would steal it," Shantae pointed out. "Is it dangerous?"

"No," Mimic said quickly. Jasmine suspected something was up, but didn't say anything. He then continued. "Not anymore. The genies banished its magic long ago. They divided its power into three magic seals, and hid them away forever. Even if the dark power was somehow restored, few remember how to use it. And I intend to carry that secret to the grave!"

"But Uncle!" Shantae said. "Risky must know more then you think,"

"Otherwise, she wouldn't have stolen it in the first place!" Jasmine pointed out. She knew she could handle it on her own, but going on an adventure without Shantae felt weird.

Mimic sighed. He knew the girls had a point. "It's true. The potential is too great. We have no choice. We must find all three magic seals before Risky Boots does! And afterwards, we must never speak of this again."

"If it means saving the town from evil and stopping Risky, you bet!" Shantae replied.

"And I'm with you to the bitter end," Jasmine replied. "We'll find those magic seals and stop Risky's plans once and for all!" With that the two rushed into town, only for Mimic to grab Jasmine's arm.

"I need you to make sure nothing bad happens to Shantae," Mimic ordered.

"I do that all the time anyways, but I'll do it," Jasmine promised before rushing after Shantae. She didn't know what was going to happen, but a feeling in her gut told her something was up.

UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH! I forgot how dialogue heavy this game's intro was. But anyways, the girls have their quest, I sneaked in a ship moment(aren't siblings the best when it comes to shipping?) and Jasmine now has a feeling of dread brewing. Anyways, see you next time!
