CHAPTER 2 Senseis and truth
"ugh where am I?", naruto asked rubbing his head. "you're in the hospital naruto", a voice said. naruto turned his head and saw a familiar figure. "Jiji what happened? the last thing i remembered was not wanting to die and a tree growing infront of me and people dying", naruto said sitting up. "naruto I won't lie to you, you used a lost ability of a near extinct clan. You killed 15 jonin and 10 Chunin with it. But it doesn't make you a monster because you only defended yourself", Hiruzen said. Naruto looked down and tears escaped his eyes. "But I feel so dirty Jiji, I took someone's life, I'm a murderer", he said sobbing.
Hiruzen hugged naruto and patted his head. "Yes naruto you are a murderer, but to be hokage you will need to murder for the good of the village and your comrades. Naruto do you know why I am called the god of shinobi?", hiruzen asked. Naruto shook his head. "Because during the first and second ninja wars I had killed and murdered our enemies, I assassinated all who were a threat to the village. I've killed men, women and children in order to save the leaf from death and destruction. I've stolen and done unspeakable things for the good of the village.", Hiruzen said to a shocked naruto. "Naruto, if you really want to be hokage or a great ninja, then, ready to kill, murder and assassinate for the good of your village and to protect your comrades", Hiruzen said.
Hiruzen looked at Naruto for a few seconds before smiling. Naruto had gone through various emotions or sadness, disgust, acceptance and finally determination. "ok Jiji I will do anything to protect my village", naruto said with a spark in his eyes that made Hiruzen fill with pride. "Jiji how long have I been out?", Naruto asked. "Three days naruto", Hiruzen said. "Three days, I didn't get to train then", Naruto said pouting. "Don't worry naruto you will train trust me with the new developments you have no choice but to train", Hiruzen said with a grin.
"Yess,", naruto said pumping his fist in the air. "wait jiji you said I unlocked or used a near extinct ability of a near extinct clan? does that mean i belong to a clan?", naruto asked. "yes, yes and maybe naruto.", Hiruzen said. "what do you mean maybe?", naruto asked with a puzzled expression. "Naruto come to my office in 3 days time you will know then", hiruzen said walking out of naruto's hospital room.
3 days later
Hiruzen had gathered the shinobi council along with Jiraiya for a meeting. The civilian council had been disbanded a year after the third great ninja war ended. "Sensei why was I called back, I've got things to be doing and 'research' to do for the next book of Icha Icha series", Jiraya said while most if the males in the room hid their horror of not being able to read the next volume of the Icha Icha series. Even Donzo was kind of scared as in secret he was a fan of the series.
"Jiraiya I've called you back because we have to discuss something about naruto.", Hiruzen said with a harsh voice. "what is it sensei?" Jiraiya asked sensing a problem. "Naruto unlocked woodstyle", Hiruzen said as all the eyes in the room widened. "Impossible, that child cannot unlock woodstyle unless he was directly related to hashirama sensei and even then it's impossible since not even tsunade could use the ability and that child isn't a senju", Koharu said earning a glare from Jiraiya and Hiruzen.
"Actually naruto is a senju. And he is the great great grandson of Hashirama and the Great Great Great grandson of tobirama.", Jiraya stated. "Impossible, how could he None of his parents where senju", Danzo said in a neutral voice. "Minato was a senju", Jiraya said causing the room to fall silent. "What?", Hiruzen said in disbelief. "Minato was a senju sensei", Jiraiya said in a serious tone. "H-HOW AND WHY WASN'T I INFORMED", Hiruzen said.
"Minato is tsunade's and Haru's child.", Jiraiya stated looking Hiruzen. "How is that possible", fukagu Uchiha said in a low tone. "During the second great ninja war me, tsunade, orochimaru and Haru went to Ame to fight Hanzo of the salamander, the night before tsunade and haru slept together before we departed", Jiraiya said shocking everyone present in the room. "nine months later Minato was born, but tsunade was depressed as she had lost Nawaki and Haru 8 monthe prior, so she asked me to take care of him, but i couldn't because I had to fight in the war, so I put him in the orohanage and gave him the name Minato Namikaze. The only people who know are me and tsunade, not even orochimaru knows. But Minato knew that Tsunade was his mother that is why they had a close bond and why he also often called her mom. That is also why I insisted I trained Minato", Jiraiya said looking sad.
"I see but why wasn't I informed? I was your sensei and I am the Hokage", Hiruzen asked feeling hurt that his students kept such a big secret from him. "The answer is simple, Tsunade didn't want her son to be in danger at a young age. And that is why she left after Minato had died because she felt that she had nothing and no one here left. She couldn't take it, losing her child, both her lovers, her brother, her daughter in-law and her grandchild". "But after i found out that naruto was alive I have been searching for tsunade since but I've been extremely unlucky".
"I see so naruto is heir to both senju and uzumaki clans", danzo said earning a look from Hiruzen. "Sensei tell naruto if his heritage or you could lose his trust", Jiraya said. "No Jiraiya i will not, it's too dangerous and I refuse to do so", Hiruzen said in a tone that suggested his mind couldn't be changed. "Sensei if naruto starts using woodstyle and looks up who was the previous wood style user her will be able to realise that he has senju heritage and naruto will know that you lied to him, you will lose his respect, trust and love. Are you willing to lose all that because if stubbornness?", Jiraiya argued.
"he is right Hiruzen, do not forget naruto is an uzumaki and a jinchuricki and I refuse to allow him to not be loyal to the village. We cannot let senseis descendant hate his heritage", danzo stated surprising everyone. "Sensei if danzo is agreeing with me then you know its serious", Jiraiya said earning a scowl from donzo.
"Alright, I will tell naruto about his heritage. But i will not tell him about the kyuubi, not yet. But I will also assign someone to train all his abilities. Danzo you know who i am talking about", Hiruzen said getting a nod from donzo. "Good, meeting is over", Hiruzen said standing up.
3 hours later.
"Jiji you called?", naruto said entering the room. "Yes naruto have a seat", Hiruzen said looking at the boy. "Jiji who is the weird looking guy and the old man", Naruto said pointing to Jiraiya Tenzo. Hiruzen let out a chuckle as tenzo and jiraiya tried not to kill the last senju and uzumaki. "Naruto You've always wanted to know who you parents are right?", Hiruzen said earining a nod from naruto.
After 1 hour of explaining everything to naruto about his heritage Hiruzen held his breath and watched naruto's reaction. "so you're telling me that my dad was the yondaime Hokage, great grand child of the Shodaime and great great grand child of the Nindime and my mother was an uzumaki making me the last uzumaki and senju", naruto said looking stunned. "yes" Hiruzen said. "YAHOOO, I knew i was great i have the same powers as the shodai and related to the hokages, I will definitely become hokage it's in my blood believe it", Naruto said jumping up and down.
"Naruto, Naruto NARUTO", Hiruzen yelled. "Ehehe sorry Jiji", naruto said sitting back down. "Naruto yes and this person on the right is your godfather and your dad's sensei Jiraiya of the sannin, he is also your fuinjutsu teacher, while the person on the left is Tenzo he will be your sensei in chakra control, taijutsu, ninjutsu and also your bloodline", Hiruzen said pointing at both men.
"Thanks Jiji, but i have a request. I wish to change my name to Naruto Uzumaki-senju or naruto senju", naruto said earning a smile from the hokage. "I will change your name to naruto Senju. when you have children one or more will take the name uzumaki and become the uzumaki clan leade.", Hiruzen said.
"ok Jiji. so when can we start training", naruto asked excited.
"meet me in training ground 15 tomorrow at 7am. dont be late or you'll regret it", tenzo said before disappearing in a shunshin. "After thaf meet me back here at 6pm tomorrow, but before that lets go to ichiraku for some ramen", Jiraiya said patting naruto's head. "Ok Sage Jiji", naruto said walking with Jiraiya. "by Jiji I'll see you soon, and I'm definitely coming for that hat", naruto said with a cheeky grin. "I'm counting on you naruto", Hiruzen said smiling.
