Gamelover41592: Thanks. It was a lot of fun to write

Matt (Guest): Yeah, the sisters and Risky have a long way to go before they stop snarking at each other with every sentence.

Sorry again with the lack of updates! Life is still kicking me in the butt hard. But I have another chapter for you now! So let's get moving.

"This is it. Saliva Island," Risky said once they reached the first island. "Unless we can find another map, this is the end of the line.

"I'm ready for anything!" Shantae boasted, now wearing a pirate bandanna and a belt around her leg. Jasmine had to bite her tongue to suppress a laugh.

"Where did you get those clothes!?" Risky snapped when she saw the outfit.

"Below deck!" Shantae admitted. "There's all kinds of fun stuff to wear. Most of the clothes were too roomy though…" With that, Jasmine lost it and burst into laughter.

"Stay away from my personal effects!" Risky barked at her. Shantae paid her no mind.

"Gosh, I've never been so far from the mainland! It's so pretty here!" She gushed as she looked over the landscape.

"It really is a beauty," Jasmine agreed as she looked over things.

"Don't be deceived! The Pirate Master draws power from this place," Risky revealed, snapping both girls back to attention. "There's a Den of Evil hidden somewhere on this island. You two are going to find it!"

"And you're not coming, I take it?" Jasmine mockingly asked.

"Not this time," Risky admitted.

"But I'm sure if we worked together..." Shantae began.

"I said no and I meant it!" Risky snapped, cutting Shantae off. "I have my reasons."

"Whatever," Jasmine said, giving a dismissive hand wave. She then grinned. "We get it. You're scared."

"HOW DARE YOU!" Risky snapped as Jasmine burst into laughter. "I will gut you both like a mackerel!"

"Sheesh, learn to take a joke," Shantae said, backing up her sister.

"And get out of that silly outfit!" Risky added in.

"I like it," Jasmine said. Her and Risky entered a glaring contest before Shantae dragged Jasmine off.

"Knock it off!" Shantae snapped. "We need Risky to help us!"

"Doesn't mean I can't have some fun with it," Jasmine replied with a grin. When she saw Shantae didn't turn it, she sighed. "Fine, I'll tone it down if you want." Neither had much to say after that. Shantae then proceeded to change the subject.

"Hey, why do you think this place is called Saliva Island anyways?" She asked.

"For something gross I'm sure," Jasmine replied.

"Seriously, what is it with people giving us stuff that just so happens to be the next thing we need?" Jasmine asked. A ring given to the girls by a man who's bride-to-be had been turned to stone had been just what they needed to raise some pillars. Then after climbing them, they found a giant lizard that just so happened to be woken up by the stick of ham from some traveling girls earlier.

"I don't question it. I just enjoy that it makes things easy for us," Shantae admitted. The lizard then started drooling. "Eww…"

"You could mistake that for a waterfall," Jasmine said. "Let's head back down," With that, she shifted into a giant condor, allowing Shantae to ride on her back. Jasmine then flew back down, stopping to kill another Cacklebat on the way down. They ended up landing in a pool of the lizard's drool.

"Hey! You two got the water turned on!" One girl said, overjoyed. "Let's all hit the pool!"

"You said it, girlfriend!" The other girl said. They then took off their clothes, revealing bikinis underneath. They were so pale, that the light was literally reflecting off them.

"My porcelain baby skin is too much for the sun!" The first girl cheered.

"Mine too...the light is bouncing off!" The other added in.

"Careful not too…" The first began.

"CROSS THE BEAMS!" The second girl interrupted as the beams of light did just that. A tablet was then released from the wall the light was shining on. Jasmine quickly grabbed it as the two girls jumped in.

"You did it! The pool is full again! And it smells like bath salts!" The second girl cheered as she happily splashed around.

"The water is really, really warm!" The first gushed as she dove under the water. "And… kinda viscous!" Shantae and Jasmine slowly walked out of the water, trying to keep themselves composed. As soon as they were out of the girl's earshot and eyesight, both doubled over and emptied out their stomachs.

"That was disgusting!" Shantae wailed before puking up more of her lunch.

"This better be worth it!" Jasmine groaned as she stood up, trying to regain her will to do anything other then go back home and give herself an extremely good bath. "Crikey, those girls don't need to know what they are swimming,"

"Agreed," Shantae said as she wiped her mouth off. "Hey, maybe that tablet will let that guy save his wife!"

"Let's go give it a try!" Jasmine agreed as they rushed off.

"...Whoopies…" Shantae sheepishly said. The man ended up turning himself to stone and the weight of him and his wife ended causing the floor to break. Jasmine just found herself cringing.

"Looks like they made a new path," Jasmine noted as she looked down the hole. "Let's see if this is that 'Den of Evil' Risky was walking about," With a nod, Shantae jumped down and Jasmine headed after her.

"Yep, this looks like a Den of Evil," Shantae noted as she looked around. The place looked like a dark maze of some sort. Jasmine found herself agreeing with her sister's statements. Later parts of the maze were full of cages that moved if you hit some weird eyeball switches and bottomless pits. Still, nothing the girls couldn't handle. They had opened a chest, but rather then gems or a key, like they were used to, they found a pistol.

"Who would put a pistol in a chest?" Jasmine asked.

"I think this is Risky's! A Cacklebat must have put it in here!" Shantae realized as she looked over it. Jasmine did have to admit, it was a pretty impressive weapon. "Hey, you think we could use this to hit the switches easier?"

"We could!" Jasmine said. As good as of a throw with her boomerang as she was, she could only throw it so far before she lost control of it. A more standard shot would be useful. Sure enough, they could hit the cages far easier. Shantae also proved herself to be a really good shot. It was also good for dealing with enemies from afar. Finally, they reached an opposing gate, which closed behind them when they walked through it. A large plant creature lowered down from the ceiling, before opening up and revealing an eye inside.

"Let's take this thing down!" Shantae said.

"You said it!" Jasmine agreed, readying herself for a brawl. The cyclops plant could fire lasers, leak slime monsters onto the floor, and...that was about it. Between the lack of attacks, Shantae's aim with the pistol and Jasmine's boomerang, the girls were almost disappointed with how easy the fight was. Even once the eye broke away from the plant, all it did was bounce around and fire lasers. On the way out of the place, a Tinkerbat walked towards the girls.

"A Tinkerbat!?" Jasmine exclaimed, readying herself for another fight. It then ran off.

"Hey, get back here!" Shantae ordered. Instead, the Tinkerbat kept running, dropping a map on the way.

"Hey, it dropped something!" Jasmine said as she grabbed it. It was another map!

"Let's get out of here and give that to Risky," Shantae said. "We did it! The Pirate Master won't be able to draw power from this place anymore!" The girls shared a high five before running off.

"You certainly took your sweet time!" Risky chastised them once the girls got back.

"We found something!" Shantae began to explain. "An evil dungeon and a giant monster and…"

"Where did you get that pistol?" Risky asked once she saw said pistol strapped to Shantae's leg.

"Locked up in a chest, why?" Jasmine replied.

"Nevermind," Risky said curtly. "Anything else?"

"This map. One of your former minions dropped it," Jasmine said as she held it out. Risky snatched it and quickly looked over it.

"He hadn't transformed yet," Shantae added in.

"Interesting," Risky admitted. "That suggests that the Pirate Master doesn't have enough Dark Magic to go around. Which means we still have time to prevent his return! Climb aboard! We're off to the next island!"

And we complete our first island! Also, like with other stories where there were collectibles, I won't show Shantae and Jasmine collecting all the Cacklebats. Anyways, see you next time!
