Chapter 26 All's Well That Ends Well

"Thank you, Peach! Thank you so much!" Bowser said.

The Princess nodded as the party stood in front of the castle. Junior was smiling with a rather cute fondness that only a little kid could match.

"We're gonna have so much fun this weekend!" Junior exclaimed enthusiastically. "We're gonna play Mario Kart, and Call of Duty, and Minecraft…."

The Princess chuckled.

"We'll talk about that later. For now, what we're gonna do is go back to the Mushroom Kingdom."

"Sounds good!" Junior said. He glanced back at Bowser. "By Dad!"

"Bye, Son! Have a great time!"

With that, the Princess and the Prince went back to the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser sighed in content as he watched their retreating backs. Junior would be really happy with the Princess. He would certainly learn a lot from her. Just as Bowser was thinking this, he heard someone clear their throat from behind his back. He grinned.

"Oh, Celia!" He chuckled. "See, this time I got your name right!"

Celia nodded. There was a grouchiness in her expression. Her eyes were slits as she stared at the Koopa King. Her fist was also closed and ready for battle. Bowser chuckled.

"You aren't...why don't we let bygones be bygones with this whole 'execution' thing, eh?"

Celia's expression did not change; the incredulity in her eyes just grew stronger. Bowser cleared his own throat.

"I assume you're here to see Roy?"

"Yes," Celia said. Bowser smiled nervously.

"Well, he's home! I mean, he most often is, there are very few places where he can go….hey, where are you going?"

The castle, while it had regained some of the welcoming quality that Celia appreciated about it, still made her heart hammer. She kept her eyes on the ground, not even bothering to look up. At least, she didn't look up until she got to Roy's room. Roy was there, grinning like a beast when he saw her.

"Celia!" He ran up to her and wrapped her in a hug. He started kissing her neck, causing Celia to laugh.

"Hey, Roy. Looks like someone is happy to see me."

"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be?" He laughed. "I'm just grateful that you're alive!"

Celia felt her face grow warm as she wrapped Roy in a hug. He leaned in and whispered in her ear:

"Ready for our date?"

"Of course." She grinned. "But first, there is someone who I think you should see."

Roy waited with his girlfriend at the doorstep of her house. He was eager to know who Celia meant. Maybe it was this really cool biker gang member! Ooh, or a dinosaur hunter! That would be awesome!

"Ah, here she is!" Celia said. Roy looked up and felt his nervousness claim him when saw Princess Aqua approaching. He stood up slowly and looked away from her. Celia, however, approached her and gave her a hug.

"Hey, Aqua."

"Hey, Celia," the princess replied. "It sure is nice to see that you're alive and well." Celia laughed.

"It's nice to be alive and well." She gestured toward Roy. "Aqua, you've met my boyfriend before."

Roy slowly lifted his head. He expected the Princess to be staring at him with hate. To his surprise, while there was a coldness in her eyes, it wasn't nearly as strong as he thought it would be. He gave a nervous smile.

"Hey...Aqua."

"Hey, Roy," Aqua replied. Roy cleared his throat.

"I'm sorry about kidnapping you. I was just doing what I was told to do," he said. Aqua nodded.

"Well, if we're apologizing...I'm sorry that I knocked you out in Tostarena."

Roy chuckled.

"Hey, it's all cool. No hard feelings."

"Right," Aqua said. She somehow managed to put on a smile. "No hard feelings."

Roy felt a warmth spread from his heart to his face. He grinned a goofy grin at the Princess before she turned back to Celia.

"I suppose, now that peace has been established, the two of us can remain friends for a good long time."

Celia smiled.

"Yes. That sounds lovely." She turned to Roy. "But first, Roy and I want to go on a date. We haven't had a good one in forever."

Aqua laughed.

"Good idea. I have to get back to Peach's Castle anyway so that I can help out with Junior. I'll see you later?"

"See you later," said Celia as she waved at the Princess. Once Aqua was a good distance away, she turned toward Roy. "So, where do you want to go?"

"Anywhere," Roy said. "As long as it's with you, I don't care."

Celia smiled.

"Have I ever told you how you are the best boyfriend in the world?"

Roy felt his face grow warm as he smiled.

AN: Woohoo! It's finished! It's finally finished! With 26 chapters, this is officially my longest Super Koopalings episode! I think it is also Sage to say that this could easily become my most reviewed story too!
