Ch. 6

The next week or so went by very very slowly. The days were practically identical to the previous one. Each day started with Moony waking up and getting ready for his day before heading to check in on Harry. Once he knew everything was fine, he went to make breakfast.

After he finished making breakfast, Padfoot would wake up and come down stairs. The two men will then bring the young boy his breakfast before bringing in two small foldable tables so that they could all eat together. After breakfast, they would play before Moony left to go into the kitchen to make lunch.

While Remus was making lunch, Sirius would tell the boy stories of the marauders school days. Then, came lunch. After lunch, Harry was put down for a nap. Remus and Sirius went into the living room and discussed Harry's birthday. After he woke up, they would play the rest of the day, stopping only for dinner. Before all three of them went to bed. They would do it all over the next day.

The last week of July was extremely busy. Sirius and Remus would keep running out of the house, leaving the other to watch Harry. Finally, the day came that the men were working so hard for. "Wake up, Harry. Come on, Harry," Remus woke up the boy.

"Wha? Huh?" Harry asked, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Come on, let's go get some breakfast, then we can get ready for the day," Remus informed the now four year old, leading him down the hall and then downstairs.

"Happy Birthday!" Remus and Sirius yelled in unison as soon as Harry was off the staircase. The living room was decorated with red and gold. There was a large banner that read "Happy Birthday Harry!" hanging above the couch. There were loads of presents on the couch. It was really good. Harry couldn't believe it. They must have been mistaken. He didn't get a birthday, only Dudley did.

"For me?" Harry asked.

"For you," Sirius replied.

"No," Harry responded.

"Harry, why do you think that this isn't for you, after all it is your birthday?" Sirius asked sadly.

"Only Dudley gets birthday, not me, because I freak," Harry responded. This broke the men's hearts.

"Oh, Harry, come here," Sirius instructed, holding out his arms. Harry did as he was told and Sirius picked Harry up and sat him on his lap. "Listen, Prongslet, here's very, very, very different from that mean place. All of this is for you, Prongslet," Sirius explained to Harry. The young boy's face split into a huge grin.

"Alright, so what if I go get breakfast together while you and Padfoot open up some of your gifts?" Remus asked. As soon as he got Harry's approval he went off to the kitchen.

While Remus was making breakfast, Harry opened a book from Moony, a toy broom from Padfoot, and a set of marbles from Moony. After breakfast, Harry opened up a child-proof Quidditch ball set from Padfoot, a coat hanger and a pair of Uncle Vernon's old socks from Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia, (Moony and Padfoot threw it away immediately), another book from Moony, a blanket from Padfoot , some chocolate from both of his guardians, and some clothes from Moony.

The last two presents were very sentimental, Remus gave Harry an old photo album of his parents and his father's old invisibility cloak. The rest of the day was spent playing with Harry's new presents. At the end of the day, Harry knew that this was the best day of his young life. The best birthday he ever had.
