Gamelover41592: You said it my friend.
Matt (Guest): They might as well be blood. But as for the memory thing, Jasmine actually will get them back at 17(one year older then she was in her season of the show)
Yeah, I think the title of this chapter gives away what's going to happen. Anyways, let's begin.
Jasmine yawned with a stretch as she woke up. While the nightmares about the Pirate Master had stopped a while ago, it was still nice not having them. Shantae, on the other hand, looked more then a little concerned.
"Jasmine, what did you dream about last night?" Shantae asked.
"I was dreaming about a world where Risky Boots didn't exist," Jasmine replied with a grin. Shantae chuckled, before her face returned to its concerned state.
"I was dreaming about this voice and it told me about using my heart to save our world and the genie realm," Shantae admitted. "I don't know what any of it means."
"Well...I'm sure we'll figure it out as we go," Jasmine assured her. Of course, that generally meant that they were going on another adventure, but who was she to complain about that. "Anyways, let's get dressed. Mimic wanted to see us,"
"Sure thing, but no more comic books and ice cream before bed for me!" Shantae vowed.
"I'm surprised you were actually able to fall asleep in the first place after you ate a full tub of the stuff," Jasmine joked, causing Shantae to shoot her a glare.
"Good morning, Uncle!" The girls choursed as they walked into Mimic's workshop.
"Morning girls!" Mimic said as he looked over some plans he was working on.
"I had the weirdest dream last night!" Shantae confessed.
"And you can tell me about it!" Mimic promised. "But first...both of you give your ol'Uncle Mimic a hand, will you?"
"Sure thing!" Shantae replied.
"Something to do with your new invention?" Jasmine asked as she looked over the plans.
"You'll see!" Mimic promised. "I've got a mechanical part on backorder. Should've arrived today. I sent Bolo over to the shop to pick it up but he hasn't gotten back yet. That was over an hour ago! Always has his head in the clouds, that boy. Would you two mind getting the part for me?"
"We'll take care of it," Jasmine promised. With that, the girls were off. The fact it wasn't much further just left Jasmine more confused on what was taking Bolo so long. She had a feeling he might be in the bathhouse, but remembered that while he was a total flirt, ever since he and Shantae had started dating, he only had eyes for her. Either way, they found in him the item shop, getting ready to walk out.
"Bolo, what is taking you so long!?" Shantae demanded.
"Well, I was getting the part, but I got distracted," Bolo admitted. In his hands was a magnet and something else.
"What were you doing that got you distracted?" Jasmine asked. Bolo smiled and turned to Shantae.
"I wanted to get my girlfriend a gift," Bolo replied as he held out a choker with a red jewel in the middle. "Do you like it?"
"I love it!" Shantae gushed. "Jasmine, help me put this on!"
"No problem!" Jasmine replied with a grin. Bolo handed it to her and Jasmine slipped it on, removing Shantae's other choker.
"You're the best, Bolo," Shantae said as she planted a kiss on his cheek. Bolo promptly turned a bright red.
"N-n-no problem!" He stuttered out. With a laugh, Shantae and Jasmine headed back over to Mimic.
"Ho ho! It's here!" Mimic cheered as he took the magnet from the girls. "My magnet has finally arrived. That means that I can show off my latest invention!" With that, he lowered down a strange contraption.
"What is that?" Jasmine asked as she looked over it. She normally had very little clue as to what Mimic made wherever he showed them, but this took the cake.
"Something to help the two of you defend the town!" Mimic exclaimed. "I call it...the Dynamo!"
"Dino meow?" Shantae tried to repeat her uncle's words, but ended up being confused.
"Dynamo!" Mimic repeated. "It's a contraption from the old world that I'm attempting to piece back together! That magnet you two bought me goes right...here!" With that, he placed it in the middle of the machine. "Like that, you see? Once it's completed, this machine will generate enough electricity to light up Scuttle Town, day and night! It'll chase away every monster and pirate within a ten mile radius! Scuttle Town will be safe and sound! And you two will get to relax for a change!"
"That's amazing!" Shantae cheered. Jasmine smiled. They could use a vacation! When will it be ready? Well, there's still a few components I'm missing, but I'm getting close! Next, I need to add a...let's see...where are the blueprints?"
"Didn't ya just have them?" Jasmine asked as she looked around.
"Did you try looking in the basement?" Shantae asked.
"Basement?" Mimic questioned. "My workshop doesn't have one,"
"C'mon, Shantae. You should know this," Jasmine pointed out.
"But there's a trap door right in the-" Whatever she was about to say was cut off when a Tinkerbat raced out of the workshop. That could only mean one thing.
"Risky's here!" Jasmine exclaimed.
"That filthy pirate just ran off with my blueprints!" Mimic cried.
"We'll-" Shantae began to say, only for cannon fire to sound.
"She must be attacking the town!" Jasmine realized as she rushed out.
"We need to go!" Shantae said as she chased after Jasmine. Outside, Jasmine shifted into her dragon form. Shantae hopped on and they flew towards Main Street, where most of the noise was coming from.
"We just finished expanding!" Jasmine grumbled as she landed on the town docks.
"They'll fix it later. We need to move now!" Shantae pointed out. With that, the two rushed into the burning town, fending off Tinkerbats as they went. Thankfully, everyone managed to get out of town, so no one was trapped. The town quickly proved to be a bigger problem then the Tinkerbats, as there were fires EVERYWHERE. However, it didn't stop the two sisters, who quickly reached the end of the town. A strange ship sailed up to the docks, with Risky Boots herself standing on top of it.
"Ho ho ho!" She cackled.
"We knew it was you!" Jasmine exclaimed.
"Tut-tut," Risky scoffed. "Call me Queen of the Seven Seas, if you please!"
"We don't," Jasmine said as she crossed her arms.
"Back to your old tricks, we see," Shantae said as she readied herself for the fight she knew was coming.
"You don't sound happy to see me. No matter. I have what I came for! Looking for this?" Risky asked as she held up the blueprints.
"Hey, give those back!" Jasmine snapped.
"You're dimwitted relic hunting uncle is always unearthing valuables from the lost age," Risky said, making it clear she wasn't giving the blueprints back. "And whatever secrets this blueprint contains, I want them! How else can I claim my rightful place as ruler over all of Sequin Land!? Ho ho ho! Now both of you step aside, or suffer the wrath of my Part Omni-Organic, Partially Titanic, Ocean-Optional Tinkerslug!"
"That's a mouthful," Jasmine deadpanned.
"P.O.O.P T.O.O.T?" Shantae said, trying to make the name smaller. As soon as it left her mouth, Jasmine clapped her hands over her mouth to muffle her laughter. Shantae seemed to be fighting back laughs as well.
"DON'T CALL IT THAT!" Risky snapped. "Men! Lock and load! Let's give these brats a workout!" With that, she jumped into another part of the ship as the attack began. The ship could fire cannonballs, flaming cannonballs, and Risky could fire shots from her pistol. Strangely, the ship went down rather fast.
"Hand over those blueprints!" Jasmine ordered.
"So, you've managed to get the upper hand," Risky admitted. "But you're only postponing my inevitable victory!" With that, she tossed the blueprints at the girls and jumped back onto her ship, speeding off.
"And don't come back!" Shantae ordered.
"That was too easy…" Jasmine muttered to herself. Risky would normally put up way more of a fight. Something wasn't right. But she wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth, so she kept her thoughts to herself.
"...And you say Risky sailed off after that?" Mimic recapped. After returning the blueprints to him, the girls explained what had gone down in the fight with Risky.
"Yeah, we were more concerned with the blueprints," Jasmine lied. Really, Risky was just too fast for them.
"Look on the bright side!" Mimic encouraged. "No one was hurt, and you managed to return the blueprints!" Jasmine's semi-good mood was quickly dashed when she saw Mayor Scuttlebutt walk in.
"Well, you're both fired," He bluntly told them.
"Fired!?" Shantae exclaimed. "Again!?"
"Yeah. Main street is in shambles and there are still pirates running around town," He told them.
"So, what were we supposed to do?!" Jasmine snapped. "Stop the attack from happening in the first place?"
"Yeah," He replied, not realizing that was literally impossible unless you were someone who doesn't appear until what would be the next game(fourth wall breaks for the win!). "I'm off to place an ad for at least a new guardian anything! One who will get rid of those pirates for good! Lots of guardians these days. I'm sure one of them will want a transfer to a beach town." With that, he walked off, talking about what he was going to put on his ad.
"One of these days, I'm going to make him choke on his own fat," Jasmine grumbled, her voice full of venom. Honestly, she was pretty sure the only reason he still had his job was because he was harmless. And even then, selling the town to a known warmonger wasn't exactly harmless.
"Bah. Ignore him," Mimic said. "He'll come around once the Dynamo is complete!"
"If you say so, uncle…" An unsure Shantae replied.
"In fact, I should get back to work right away!" Mimic realized. "Why don't you two see if anyone in town needs help?"
"Fine," Jasmine said as she made her way out.
"Good luck, uncle," Shantae said as she walked out after her.
And with that, Half Genie Hero begins! Oh, and about Scuttlebutt. Don't worry. He'll get his karma…(I'm evilly laughing as I type this). See you next time!
