Megatron was pleased with the progress of the ship, especially concerning a certain part of it that was only possible recently. To top off this streak of good luck, he had his daughter back.
Speaking of which, Stardancer was sitting in a specially made cage next to his command seat. She had made it well known to him and his crew that she hated the arrangement; he couldn't blame her as Dancers were meant to move around and required large spaces to keep their sanity. It was expected, human or not, as Dancers were closely related to Seekers like Starscream, though Dancers were designed with speed and stealth in mind. Stardancer would have a more sleek design once Megatron figured out how to get rid of her human form and back into her Cybertronian body.
"Lord Megatron, why do you keep this pathetic flesh bag?" asked his second-in-command, innadverdately angering the Decepticon Overlord. "It's just a waste of resources and not worth keeping as a pet."
"Dude, how the hell are you still alive?" Stardancer deadpanned, clearly just fed up with everything. "From what I've heard from both Decepticons and Autobots, you're pretty useless and have been the reason why missions have failed lately for your faction."
Dead silence fell over the command center and all optics were turned to the human and flustered Decepticon. Megatron couldn't deny that he felt proud of his daughter's sass, especially when he looked around and saw the rest of his men holding back cackles at the scene.
"She does have a point, Thrust," chimed in Starscream with the biggest scrap eating grin possible.
"Lord Megatron, are you going to let this vermin just get away with such disrespect?"
"Why?" he retorted. "She's made quite a valid point regarding your usefulness. If anything, I should demote you for your incompetence."
"W-What?!"
"Be quiet! You will have no control over the Hydra Cannon, that honor falls to Starscream now." He felt Stardancer's concern immediately after he mentioned the weapon, but thought nothing of it. "Also, you will keep your mouth shut regarding me keeping a human pet. What I keep as a pet is none of your concern. Am I clear?"
"B-B-But-"
"AM I CLEAR?"
"Y-yes, Lord Megatron."
Terra knew she was missing some crucial details about this ship at the mention of the Hydra Cannon. It did not sound good at all and she needed to warn the Autobots.
"Lord Megatron, the comet is approaching firing range," said Cyclonus.
"Good. Engage the Hydra Cannon!"
I'm out of time, she realized as a hum vibrated throughout the ship and a scream pierced the air. Terra didn't know that the sword, shield, and blaster that were hooked up to the console behind Megatron were in fact Minicons until she heard the scream. Oh God! How do I stop this?
Alexis and Rad had their telescopes set up to observe the comet due to pass by the planet soon. The other three boys were just as eager to look through the telescopes and Hot Shot watched the kids with fond amusement as they got excited over something he'd seen countless times before.
Of course, just as the comet came into view of their devices, it burst into a flash of blinding light and was gone.
