Gamelover41592: Yo ho, yo ho.

Matt (Guest): Agreed(and she could have been so cool too!)

Okay, time to learn a little more about this supposed half genie. Let's go!

Following their return from Mermaid Falls, Jasmine and Shantae were sent looking for more parts of the Dynamo, in this case, copper ore. They found it(albeit it in a way they didn't want to talk about) and had just returned to Mimic's lab.

"Thank you so much girls! I can use this to make my copper wire!" Mimic said once he was given the copper. According to this blueprint, it goes right...there!" With that, he placed it on the machine. "Whew! It's really coming along nicely! Thank you!"

"No problem uncle!" Shantae replied while Jasmine just smiled.

"Uncle?" Mimic asked. "Remind me again, who's….uncle?"

"Oh my gosh!" Shantae exclaimed. "He has a case of the olds!"

"I don't think that's it mate," Jasmine said nervously as she looked outside. Nearly everyone in town seemed to be a complete daze. "It's like they've lost their memories."

"We better find help!" Shantae said as she dragged Jasmine outside. Nearly everyone remembered nothing and those that did remember things remembered very little. Finally, they found the mayor.

"Mate, what are you doing wandering around here?" Jasmine asked. She didn't like Scuttlebutt, but no one deserved this.

"The streets?" Scuttlebutt asked, seemingly not even realizing where he was at the moment.

"And where's your new guardian genie?" Shantae asked.

"Oh yes, Holly…" Scuttlebutt began. "She said she had to go...somewhere…"

"Something is off…" Jasmine muttered to herself. Why did Holly just up and abandon the town right as a crisis hit.

"Half the people in Scuttle Town have amnesia!" Shantae exclaimed. She agreed with Jasmine that something was very off. "You really have no idea where she went?"

"Can't...remember…" Scuttlebutt managed out.

"Hey, what's that in your hand?" Jasmine asked. Scuttlebutt shrugged and handed it to her. It was a map to a place called Tassel Town.

"A map to Tassel Town?" Shantae questioned. "Wasn't that place destroyed?"

"Either way, we know where she went," Jasmine said before turning into a dragon. She realized that Sky had most likely been hit by whatever was causing these lost memories as well and it would be better to find out where she was going herself. Shantae climbed onto her and they were off.

"What would Holly be doing here?" Shantae asked.

"No clue," Jasmine groaned as she struggled to rub the sand out of her eyes. "But this place has seen better days."

"It was destroyed! Centuries ago!" Holly explained as she walked over.

"You again," Jasmine grumbled.

"What are you doing here anyways?" Shantae asked.

"My job," Holly smugly replied.

"Then why aren't you helping out in Scuttle Town?" Jasmine asked. "Everyone lost their memories!"

"Obviously, which is why the mayor sent me to check it out," Holly replied. "I am the town genie after all!"

"Maybe if we worked together we could-" Shantae began to say.

"How sad," Holly scoffed, cutting her off. "If you two want your job back so badly, why don't you go cry to the mayor,"

"Oi!" Jasmine snapped. "We're just trying to help our friends get their memories back!"

"Whatever," Holly said dismissively. "I don't need help from you two has beens." With that, she walked off, not realizing that the two heroes were now infuriated.

"Personally, I don't care if she's got it or not. I wanna go just to show her up!" Jasmine grumbled.

"She's up to something anyways!" Shantae pointed out. "Let's go!" The desert area around the town was dangerous. There were plenty of monsters laying in wait and the sandstorms were beyond powerful. Even Jasmine could barely keep her footing. Finally, they managed to reach one of the still standing towers.

"Hey things are finally looking up! We're out of the sandstorms!" Shantae said. Suddenly, the ground began to shake. A giant sand worm burst out of the ground and started to move upwards.

"Why did you have to tempt fate like that?" Jasmine asked. Shantae just hung her head. A roar reminded both of them that they should probably start moving up and as fast as they could. Switching into their wall climber animal forms(Jasmine a lizard and Shantae a monkey), they scaled the tower as fast as they could. A few skeleton warriors were inside the tower, but the girls opted to just jump over them.

"Let's get out here!" Shantae called as she pointed at an opening in the tower.

"Works for me!" Jasmine called back as they rushed out the door. They took a few seconds to sit down and catch their breath. "What the bloody hell was that?!"

"I have no idea," Shantae said.

"Hey, maybe it already ate Holly," Jasmine joked. Shantae knew that she probably shouldn't laugh, but she did anyway. Holly was really getting on her nerves. Either way, the two kept moving. The whole building was falling apart, but it still left enough for the girls to get across. Finally, they reached the top of the tower, where Holly was waiting.

"Stop right there, Holly Lingerbean!" Shantae ordered.

"Get lost, you two! Can't you see I'm busy!?" Holly whined. Why couldn't they have just been good little losers and lost their memories like everyone else!?

"We don't know how everyone in Scuttle Town lost their memories…" Jasmine began as she pulled out her boomerang and got into a fighting stance. "But we think you're behind it all, ya crook!"

"Duh!" Holly replied. "The last thing I'd want is your dumb guardian job! But since you two came all the way here, I'll level with you. You see, I'm not really a Half-Genie at all…."

"Ok then…" Shantae said.

"What are you then?" Jasmine asked.

"I'm a memory!" Holly replied. "A memory of the most important person of all time!"

"WHAT!?" The sisters exclaimed.

"No way!" Shantae continued. "A memory can't be a real person!"

"Oh please," Holly scoffed as she gave a dismissive hand wave. "When you're a true legend, like I am, you can be anything you want! A long time ago, I was Tassel Town's smartest, most beautiful, brightest star! I was Summa Cum Laude, Homecoming Queen, and Miss Tassel Town three years running!"

"And what does this have to do with stealing the town's memory?" Jasmine asked. The last thing she wanted to hear was Holly brag about her life.

"Hey, I'm getting there!" Holly snapped before going right back to bragging. "I was adored and celebrated with tributes, paintings, statutes, and books- ALL ABOUT ME! Sometimes I don't even know how I got to be so amazing. But then the stupid town was destoryed in a stupid sandstorm that lasted for hunderds of years! SO LAME! The memory of me was almost lost! Fortunately, I ran into Wilbur. Speaking of him, WILBUR! Here boy! Num-num time!" The giant sand worm from before burst out of the center of the tower.

"Crikey, he's even bigger then I thought!" Jasmine marveled. She had to admit. Wilbur was an impressive beast.

"Wilbur here is a rare species of titanic chilopoda that feeds on neurotransmissions! Pretty cool, huh?" Holly revealed. "Anyways, I realized that in order to remain the strongest memory, I simply needed to eliminate all other memories by feeding them to him! Say so long to your friends! They're about to become worm food!" She then turned back to Wilbur. "GO ON! EAT!" Holly then held out the memories.

"No!" Shantae cried. However, before Wilbur could start eating, Jasmine knocked Holly's hand away with her boomerang, causing her to let go of the memories.

"What did you do?!" Holly snapped.

"You're not taking any more memories, ya monster!" Jasmine snapped as she readied herself for a fight.

"Oh that is it!" Holly said before turning to her pet. "Since I steal either of your memories, I'll just have to get a lot more messy! Wilbur! SMASH THEM!" With that, Holly vanished, leaving the girls alone with the monstrous worm. Wilbur started by firing his eyes at them, before launching boulders at him. This, however, proved to be his downfall, as the girls could place the boulders in cannons on the towers and fire them at him. This caused his eye to fall out, letting Jasmine and Shantae pummel it. Surprisingly, the large beast quickly fell. This freed all the memories.

"I wonder if I could make worm skin boots," Jasmine jokingly(or not) mused to herself. Holly was fuming. This wasn't supposed to happen!

"You fools! Look at what you've done!" Holly snapped. "All those memories!"

"They're free now. As they should be!" Shantae replied, not giving her any sympathy.

"But every memory should be of ME! ME!" Holly screeched.

"No. Nobody should have remembered a selfish no good brat like you," Jasmine said. Her voice was calm, but Shantae and Holly could practically taste the rage in it.

"How dare you say that!" Holly snapped. She didn't know which of the two she found more annoying, but she had just made up her mind. No normal human should be able to talk to her like that! "I'm unforgettable! I'll show you!" Shantae and Jasmine readied themselves for battle, but it didn't matter. Holly began to fade away. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FAAAAAAAIRRRR!"

Ugh. What a pain in the rear," Shantae grumbled.

"Good riddance," Jasmine replied. "Let's get back to town!"

"Looks like everything's back to normal," Jasmine noted with a sigh of relief once they got back to town.

"So Holly was behind all this," Sky recapped. From what little they did see of her, Sky seemed to get the worst effects of the memory loss.

"I suspected she was a memory vampire all along!" Bolo boasted, even if all he got was eye rolls.

"Poor Holly," Mimic said. "All that time she never understood. Our true legacy isn't what's written in the history books, but in the hearts of whose lives we've touched."

"Well said," Jasmine said with a nod.

"I still don't know how we're going to explain all of this to the mayor," Shantae noted.

"Meh, he'll probably forget all about it," Bolo said.

"What he doesn't know, won't hurt him," Jasmine agreed.

"Come on. We should make sure everyone is okay," Sky said as she and Bolo headed out.

"Well, now!" Mimic began. "With that all behind us, I can finally get back to work! Now where was I? Right, according to the blueprints, I need opposing shards to create a balance of positive and negative energy above the magnetic poles…"

"Shards?" Shantae asked. "As in dark and light magic?"

"The instructions are explicit!" Mimic insisted as he looked over everything.

"Alright, but I don't think messing around with dark magic is a good idea," Jasmine said as she crossed her arms, still remembering the last time they had dealt with dark magic.

"When kept in proper balance, light and dark shouldn't pose a threat. But just in case, we'll be extra cautious," Mimic assured them. Both girls still felt a little uneasy.

"Alright, uncle," Shantae said, still sounding rather nervous. They still headed out. They had realized at this point that asking around town seemed to yield answers.

UGH! Holly could have been such a good villain! It was right there! But no. Instead, she's just every "It's All About Me" egomaniac. We don't even get to face her in a boss fight! Ugh. Anyways, next time we get to fight a villain who is much better. See you then!
