Beep beep

Lucario's radio went off, she picked it off her belt and answered, " how's the situation? " she asked into the radio, " not good, two cages, all filled and guarded ", a voice came. Lucario was part of a rescue team, and her squad was in the process of rescuing a bunch of school kids taken hostage during a field trip to a mystery dungeon. The squad consisted of her, a lucario, a ninetales, a greninja and a scyther. Greninja was on the radio as recon. " i'm gonna try to get a closer lo- aGH ", " Gren what's going on! Respond! ", the radio was quiet, " damn... ", Lucario put the radio back in her utility belt, adjusted her scarf and went closer to the area where the cages were. it was nighttime, so it would be easy for her to sneak there.

Lucario quietly maneuvered her way across some rocks and got near the kidnappers camp. She peered behind a rock, " Greninja was right, 2 cages, and guarded by 4 fighting type pokemon, but where is he? " Her eyes darted around the place and saw something that made her eyes widen, all three of her squad members were knocked out cold by the kidnappers and restrained inside a cage with ropes alongside some other pokemon. "Probably tranquilized " she thought, Lucario then saw a shadowy figure approach the camp, it was a machamp, " that might be their leader ". she then noticed the machamp was carrying something, no, someone, as he got closer she saw who he was carrying, a young riolu, Lucario grit her teeth with anger. The Machamp said something to one of his lackeys, the other kidnapper opened the cage with her team members and the Machamp carelessly tossed the unconscious riolu into the cage. The Machamp then whispered something to one of the fighting types as he disappeared into the darkness. A few minutes passed as Lucario tried to come up with a plan, then, out of nowhere she felt a stinging feeling on her neck, she immediately went up to feel it and felt something plastic, a tranquilizer, "oh no" she muttered before she collapsed unconscious.

2 hours later

When Jojo woke up, the first thing he felt was the cold, rocky ground underneath him, it was unpleasant. He slowly got up, his eyes adjusting to the lack of light. " you're finally awake…" the voice came from behind him, jojo turned around and saw who was talking to him. The person looked kind of like him, but taller, had a longer snout, and had spikes instead of bony plates on her arm, had a beige coat of fur on her torso and a spike on the middle of her chest, and had really long ears that pointed upwards, she had a scarf on, her hands and knees were tied together with rope. " and you are? ", asked Jojo, " im Lucario, over there is Greninja, Ninetales, and Scyther" she motioned to the other rescue team members. Jojo looked around and realised he was in a cage. " what's going on? Oh yeah, my names Jojo ", "well Jojo, you're either gonna get ransomed or saved, im part of a rescue team and… we didn't do so well".

Jojo peered out of the cage and saw his kidnappers, all big, burly monster people that he couldn't really describe, he then looked at the cage door, it was locked with a really flimsy padlock, it could probably be broken by a good strike. Lucario noticed that Jojo was looking at the lock, "not a good idea, breaking it would make a lot of noise and you would have to deal with them", she nodded towards the fighting types, "hmm", Jojo sat down against the wall of the cage, and stayed silent for several minutes.

"You're here to save us right? " a voice came from besides Lucario, she turned to the voice, it was a snivy, he looked completely terrified, " i don't think i can in this state " Lucario replied, the snivy huddled against the corner of the cage, Lucario's words didn't help. " So, what's your name? " Jojo asked the small lizard looking person, " it's r-R-Raymond ", " cool name " Jojo replied ", " how did you end up here? " Lucario asked, hoping it would calm down Raymond. " well… it all started when…".

Raymond was born into a well off family, he didn't see his dad much since he worked far away, Ray lived in a town called Pecha-Town, known nationwide for its excessive pecha berry production, Raymond was enrolled in the local school, but his classmates looked down on him, because he was different, he was completely useless in a fight. From his classmates perspective, he had zero combat skills ( despite adventure classes ), told really lame jokes and most of all, he was easily frightened, but even though he had all those flaws, he wanted to be part of a rescue team, that was what really made him a laughing-stock.

It started out as just any other school day, Raymond ate breakfast, got harassed on the way to school, got there, and did usual school things. But then his most dreaded nightmare happened, the class was taking a field trip to a mystery dungeon in Mt Cyrus, the teacher had the class sort themselves into teams, you can guess what happened to Raymond. After the teacher explained the goal, which was to get some flags before everyone else, everyone went into the dungeon, that's when everything went wrong.

Raymond was teamed up with an Eevee and a Litten, the Eevee was nice, her name was Evie, the Litten's name was Dave, Dave was cool too, but Raymond knew Dave didn't want him in his team.

Once they were five staircases into the mystery dungeon, Evie noticed that Dave was missing, " i think we left him behind" Evie said. Raymond heard some rustling sounds somewhere around the rocks," wow, this place goes on for like, forever " Evie remarked, Raymond was focused on the rustling sound, not focused on what Evie was saying, " lets just keep going, we might meet up with him ", Raymond absentmindedly nodded and went with Evie.

Evie stopped abruptly, "hey uh, what's wrong?" Raymond was on edge ever since he heard those rustling sounds, then Evie collapsed, Raymond yelped in fear and tried to get her back up, he felt something plastic on the scarf like fur around her neck, he plucked it off and inspected it, "the hell?"

It was a dart, " th-this is bad, i g-g-gotta tell the t-teac…", he felt something hit his neck, then everything went black.

"A-And that's how i got here", Raymond was staring at the ground now, " oh dear ", Lucario replied, "how did you get here Jojo?" Raymond turned towards Jojo, who passed out from boredom, "Jojo, wake up" Lucario shook Jojo, "wait what, what's going on?" Jojo woke up, "Raymonds asking how you got here" Lucario repeated, "oh yeah, ok" Jojo took a deep breath and out, Raymond didn't notice but Lucario's ears perked up, she felt some strange energy emanating from Jojo, " i actually don't remember much of my past, all i remember is waking up near some trees and getting tranquilized ", " so you have amnesia? ", Lucario asked Jojo, " yeah probably ", " that sucks " Raymond seemed more calm now. The group went quiet for a couple of minutes.

"Where's Evie? That person you mentioned" Jojo looked out the cage, Raymond shrugged, 'probably in the other cage ", "ough my head", The whole group turned to look at the new voice, Raymond recognized her immediately, "Evie!?", Evie got up from the cold hard ground, she looked like a normal quadrupedal brown fox, but with a stylish, but now dirty and ruffled layer of fur around her neck resembling a really thick scarf

Jojo was astonished at how everyone including him did not notice an unconscious fox laying in the same cage as them, " i think we all hit our heads too hard when we took those tranquilizers " Jojo remarked in his mind.

" What's going on, I think I fainted ", Evie had a similar accent to Jojo. Lucario tried to explain things but Jojo completely killed any chance of calming down Evie, " you're being held hostage by a bunch of goons trying to ransom you and they took down a rescue team", it was quite possibly the worst thing Evie heard in her life, " what…", Evie was in shock, " I'll repeat myself, you're being held hostage by a bunch of goons trying to ransom you and they took down a rescue team ", Evie said nothing and huddled in one of the corners of the cage. " smooth " Raymond quietly muttered to himself.

About 5 or 10 minutes passed without anyone saying anything, the Machamp appeared in front of the cages, probably going to explain something, " hello people ", the Machamp said, ( Jojo noticed he was speaking in a German accent, he didn't remember what a German was but he could tell ) " you may be wondering, when will i, the great Dr. Sigmund releases you…" The now named dr. Sigmund outstretched 2 arms to the side, leaving the other 2 on the bottom resting. Oh yeah, he had 4 arms, he was a big, grey muscular monster guy with 2 exposed, long toes, he had a beige outline across his mouth and 3 dark grey ridges on his head.

Dr. Sigmund seemed familiar to Jojo, but he couldn't remember where he saw him, Sigma continued, " you will all be released soon, once we get the money, for now you will stay here", Dr. Sigmund walked towards the cage where Jojo and the rest were, he shuffled to the side of the cage and peered in, he then put one of his arms through the cage bars, grabbed Jojo and slammed him against the wall of the cage, pressing him against the wall, " as for you… " Jojo couldn't breathe against the cage bar, " we would like to… keep you, study your strange abilities " , he let Jojo go, Jojo fell back and gasped for air, Raymond went to help him but was easily intimidated by Sigmund, he stepped back, " that's it, Im gonna get this guy ", Jojo was pissed. Dr. Sigmund casually walked away, grabbing a cigar from one of his workers satchel.

The group went silent for another 5 minutes before Jojo spoke up, " I'm going to have a talk with this... Sigmund ", " what, what do you mean? " Evie was confused, and still shocked by what Dr Sigmund did to Jojo, " when the opportunity comes, get the others out and run… " Jojo got up, positioned himself against the wall of the cage, " It's made of sturdy wood, any normal bash wouldn't break it, but with hamon…", Jojo's body was covered in some strange yellow energy, he then suddenly rocketed out of the roof of the cage, Raymond yelped as bits of wood fell on him.

CRASH

Everyone heard it, the pokemon in the other cage, the kidnappers, and Dr. Sigmund. Sigmund's goons scrambled to find out where that noise came from.

Dr. Sigmund came out of the shadows again, smoking a cigar. "What the hell happened!?" he shouted at one of his fighting type goons, " we don't know, someone probably escaped", "check all of the cages! " Sigmund paced around, he was stressed. One of the goons approached the cage where the group was, it was a hitmonchan, it inspected the cage, " ey boss, there's a hole in this cage ", Sigmund approached the cage and looked at the hole in the cage's roof, " no scorch marks, so they didn't burn it, maybe he busted through the roof, he would have to be pretty strong to do that " Dr. Sigmund looked into the cage and noticed the Riolu was missing,

" where the he-"

" Im right here "

Sigmund looked at where the voice came from, it was the Riolu. " how about you release everyone from those cages eh? ", they both stared at each other for a moment, then Sigma burst out in a fit of laughter, he almost choked on his cigar. He walked over to Jojo, squatted down, put his hand on his shoulder and stared at him in the face, " or what?... ", " hmm ", "come on now... ".

Sigma then took the cigar out of his mouth and jammed it into Jojo's forehead, burning off a few hairs, this pissed him off more, Jojo could hear the people in the cages gasping, he wiped the cigar ash off his hair, " now i'm curious… " Jojo tilted his head to the side with a neutral expression, " why would you do something so rude and unsavory? ", Sigma got up, " because I can you twerp! ", Sigma lifted his leg to the side and swung it towards Jojo.

SNAP

"You idiotic brute! "

Pain rocketed through Sigmas body, before he could utter a scream everything around him started spinning, before he crashed down onto the ground. Dr. Sigma turned his head up and saw Jojo looking down on him, with a bizarre yellow energy covering him. Sigma tried to get up but pain shot through his left leg, he glanced at it, what saw him was terrifying, his leg was bent all the way backwards!

"Get him! " Dr. Sigma bellowed

Jojo sensed someone coming behind him, he immediately dodged out of the way, watching a red boxing glove like fist whoosh millimetres past his face.

Jojo prepared to strike the weird boxing glove monster, instinctively, he exposed his palm, leaving his fingers outstretched, Jojo's open hand collided with the monsters face, sending it flying backwards, "strange, i didn't use any hamon in that attack, but it still greatly damaged it…", he saw that the monster was lying limp on the ground, probably unconscious, or dead.

Jojo didn't have time to worry about casualties, he felt someone else coming towards him.

This time the monster was covered in a walnut like shell, it went straight for him, Jojo stepped back, waiting for the monster to make its move, it tried punching, Jojo lept to the side and hit it with a powerful kick on its right side. He noticed a cracking sound when he kicked the monster, " i damaged its shell…" the monster was clearly hurt from that, it went for a roundhouse kick, Jojo barely dodged it before leaping up to its face and giving it another palm strike, its face noticeably cracked, the creature was sent flying.

Raymond was awestruck at how Jojo easily annihilated the fighting types, everyone else was too.

Jojo saw the other two monsters stare at him before running for their lives, " yeah!, run away you cowards! ", Jojo shouted before he felt something behind him make a cracking sound.

" y-you… ", It was Sigma, " you're gonna pay for this! "

Evie was left awestruck as well with Raymond, but then she remembered Jojo's words, " when the opportunity comes, get the others out and run… ", she immediately went to untie Lucario's bindings, Raymond saw this and went to help the other rescue team members.

Sigma painfully readjusted his twisted leg before limping towards Jojo, Sigma barraged Jojo with punches from all 4 of his arms, to his surprise, Jojo was dodging all of them, he expertly weaved through each fist, giving a few kicks and palm strikes.

" next you'll say!... how are you dodging all my attacks! "

"How are you dodging all of my attacks!"

Sigma gasped, Jojo took advantage of Sigmas distracted form and leapt up to his head level.

"Now I'll make sure you stay down! 「Overdrive Barrage!」"Jojo proceeded to attack Sigma with consecutive hamon infused punches, breaking some of his bones in the process.

" how is this kid so strong! " every bit of Sigmas body was in pain, he managed to block a few of the strikes, sacrificing his arms in vain, he just couldn't keep up.

Jojo was starting to feel tired, so in one last move, he channeled all of his available hamon and struck Sigma with all his force!.

Sigma was sent flying several metres away and straight into a giant stone, he was defeated.

Jojo landed on the ground, he stood there for a minute, trying to focus, he looked at the cages, "all empty, they escaped, good… ".

Jojo felt a horrible stinging feeling on his arm, he went to check it.

" god damn… "

Dr. Sigma placed a poison dart on him during his 「overdrive barrage」!

" this isn't good, " Jojo thought, he tore out the dart, but he could already feel the poison coursing through him.

"Don't worry " Jojo thought to himself, "i just need to produce enough hamon to extract this poison ", Jojo picked up a sharp rock and cut himself on the arm, some blood started to come out, he then started doing controlled breathing to produce hamon, then he focused the hamon energy onto the poison, soon enough, the poison started leaking out of his open wound.

Jojo leaned against a rocky wall, he suddenly realized that he was extremely tired, his legs collapsed and he slumped against the wall, clutching his bleeding arm, he felt some people coming towards him, friendly people.

Jojo drifted off to sleep.

This took a very long time to write, and it also felt really sloppy, I procrastinated a lot. I think I'll take a break.
