Chapter 33
Seth appeared in the middle of his temple. Standing in a circle all around him with their finest armour was his commanders of his army. Many of them had been at his side from the very beginning with a few of them being new allies that Leatherback had manged to bring together in such sort notice. Seth smiled as he looked at his old generals and new allies or tools as he saw them.
The Serpent Sisters his most loyal servants, all three of them stood together with their heads held high. Their black and golden armour fitted well with their figures of their human forms. Even their tails were covered in the thick metal, something that they had never wanted to be covered due to restricting their movement but they had to get their tails covered due to both the Hulk and Edward aiming for their body parts. The three Sisters had been a major problem to the Avengers since they had shown up to the group of heroes in Egypt not that long ago.
His attention moved on to the two other females in the group. He didn't show much emotions but when it came to being around Anck-Su-Namun he could not help himself. She had been a great help for him three thousand years ago as she tried to get the Book of the Dead away from Imhotep. Things may not have panned out the way that he had originally thought they would but he had still won. He had gotten the Book of the Dead and he had defeated Earth's mightiest heroes in doing so. Then there was Ahmanet, she like the Serpent Sisters was one of his many military leaders that had been at his side for years. She had managed, three thousand years ago to get human armies onto his side and she had done so again. Ahmanet had managed to regroup not only HYDRA back but she also got AIM into a more military style. Not only that but she had managed to get one of the Avengers onto his side.
Seth looked at the Avenger who Ahmanet had wrapped around her little finger. Tony Stark or his hero name of Iron man had helped them so far. He had brought down one of the Avengers mode of transport, the Moonray and has no doubt cause a rift between the other Avengers. Not only that but Stark was adding more cannon fodder to his ranks with the Iron Legion. He had also been working non stop with MODOK to bring back Ultron.
The now sane AI was standing beside Cobra. His red optics focused only on Seth as he awaited for his orders against the other Avengers. Ultron had also brought in his own forces. His drones were easy to make and had swelled the Iron Legion. Both Ultron's drones and the Iron Legion were waiting in strategic places to take major cities on Seth's command.
Seth then turned his attention to the other people and creatures that were in the room. Unicron was another new ally that Seth had gotten recently. He had series problems with not one of the Avengers but two of them. He hated them that much that he had created a dark version of one of them, the only problem was Shadowstalker was trapped by the Avengers in the Guardians hidden base that they did not know where it was.
Dalek Caan, another new ally that he had made was not present in his temple. He was still dealing with Dalek Sec. It would not be long before he and the others would be joining Dalek Caan, but before hand.
He was going to make sure that victory was going to be his. He had waited three thousand years for this and he was not going to have it wasted because of one of these villains could not wait to go against their enemy. So he was going to keep them at bay until he gets his powers to release his main troops from their eternal slumber that Imhotep had put them in three thousand years ago.
"What are we waiting for? The Avengers to get their act together and start heading here to get this moving along?" demanded the Red Skull. The enemy of Captain America, was another ally that Seth had known for a good few years. He had been send back in time to get the Book of the Dead and it may not have turned out the way that Seth had planned he was happy with the result.
"All in good time Skull! The Avengers are too busy chasing their own tails after they thought that they had a plan that would see them getting victory!" Seth explained to Red Skull. He sat down on his throne with the Book still in his hands. A smile broke his face as he looked at Anck-Su-Namun. His mistress stood to attention when she felt his yellow eyes on her.
"Then now is the perfect time to strike them! Get them before they have a chance to pull their forces together and launch a planned attack against us here!" snapped a new ally that Leatherback had managed to bring forward for this final plan. Seth had yet to learn the alien warlord's name and he did not care. He only cared that he along with the other villains that Leatherback had gathered.
Seth leaned back on his throne and opened the Book of the Dead. The alien warlord was correct. This was the perfect time to strike. The Avengers along with UNIT and SHIELD will be too busy dealing with the lose of the Book of the Dead from a fault on their side with their plan on splitting their forces up. Seth smirked on thinking who had come up with that plan. The hero who brought it up must have thought that it was a good plan to get the Book of the Dead to where they were taken it. He looked towards Python and the leader of the Serpent Sisters smiled with an ugly smile on her face as she picked up her massive mace.
"Give us the word my lord and we will crush the Avengers!" Python snarled at him.
"Good to see that you are eager my old friend!" Seth said as he stood up from his throne. He opened the Book of the Dead and found the page that he was looking for. Smiling he allowed the limited power that he had already to flow through his veins once again. In his mind he could hear Thomas shouting for him to stop with his plans. The human had even started to banging against the wall that he found himself trapped in within his own body. Well it could no longer be his own body. Seth had controlled it for the past seventy years and had made sure that the aging of it was stopped, but that was only with him still at the wheel of it.
The human soul mend nothing to him other than a battery for his limited powers. For the past seventy years he had been trying to free himself from his own mind but with no hope at all and that was not going to happen. When he had all his powers the human soul that was powering him would be consumed into his own soul and he would no longer be a problem.
Seth ignored the human that was inside of his mind as he looked at the page on the golden Book. Without looking at his gathered 'allies' he began to read the passage on the page. The last time that he had heard the words from this page was three thousand years ago when Imhotep had acted out in his brothers orders. Now they were being read by him with the High Priest of Osiris no where to be seen.
In a bright light Seth had once again got all his powers back. He smiled wickedly at his gathered allies. "Begin the attack!"
