January 16, 2020 - Forest Mystery Dungeon

Raymond's Perspective

I knew Riolu's were fast, but not this fast!

Me and Evie were struggling to keep up with Jojo, I tried to call out to him.

" Jojo slow down! "

He stopped and turned around, we were about 5 or 7 meters away from him.

He chuckled, " sorry "

Evie looked around, " I think we lost the other team… "

She was right, they probably took a different turn.

We navigated our way through the dungeon, until a voice came from the walkie talkie.

" team 2, * bzzt * this is Wobbuffet, can you hear me? "

Jojo looked really confused, not sure why.

Evie picked up the radio, " yeah we can hear you "

" The voice is coming from that?! " Jojo was dumbfounded, for some reason.

We both looked at him, " yeah… "

His eyes widened, before chuckling, " oh right, yeah of course it does… "

This guy was weird.

" *bzzt* just wanted you to know *bzzt* you're almost at the flags, keep going! "

" alright "

She clipped the radio onto her scarf.

" well let's get goi- "

She was interrupted by a sharp leaf flying past her face.

A feral pokemon burst out of the bushes, it was mostly brown with a long pointy nose, with leaf fans for hands and a white fur mane, it was a shiftry.

It gave out a deep roar before charging at Jojo, he quickly leapt to the side, with the sharp leaf fan scratching his cheek.

He rubbed the scratch with his paw, and looked at shiftry before giggling.

" ah come on, turn that frown upside down! " he said while smiling.

The shiftry growled.

" come on pinocchio!, show me what you got! " Jojo laughed.

The feral slashed at him, Jojo ducked and then sidekicked the shiftry.

" too slow bunny ears!, no offense Evie. "

" none taken "

The shiftry was now quickly swiping at Jojo with his sharp fans, Jojo was barely dodging the attacks.

I stood way back, he could handle this, I think.

" alright enough playing around, quick attack! "

Evie charged at the feral at high speeds, knocking it over.

" right, let's finish this! "Jojo took a deep breath in, his hand started glowing yellow, he then punched the shiftry straight in the nose, sending it back several metres.

The shiftry went limp.

Jojo sat down, " whew, that was intense ".

Evie brushed some dirt off her, " yeah… "

I sat with them, " we can rest for a bit, we are pretty close to the flags "

The radio started up again, " *bzzt* team 1 has acquired both of the flags! ".

We all stared at each other for some seconds before immediately dashing towards the next room.

2 minutes later

Jojo's Perspective

We heard some footsteps ahead of us, I subconsciously knew there were 3 people there, I didn't know how.

I motioned to Ray and Evie and dove into the bushes, the 3 people went past us, I saw a really long vertical object pass by us.

" it's them… " Raymond started to shake a bit.

" what do we d- " I interrupted Evie by jumping straight out of the bushes and tackling scraggy.

" what the! " pansage recoiled back as I snatched the flag from scraggy.

" Guys, let's go! " I said as I started running.

Raymond and Evie burst out of the bushes and started running with me, Ray took the other flag out of totodiles hands with vines.

" come back here! " the other team started chasing after us.

" never! " I knew I was getting closer to the exit, " Ray grab onto me and Evie with your vines! "

Raymond extended 2 green vines, snatched up Evie and grabbed onto me, I started running as fast as I could.

And I could run really fast.

Evie and Ray were being dragged on the ground with me, Raymond was still clutching onto the flag as he was sliding behind me.

I could see the exit to the dungeon, the other team was far behind us.

Suddenly, I remembered something.

There was me, a smaller entity besides me, and a dangerous one nearby.

" you probably kill monsters all the time, you know what to do, right? Jojo? " the smaller entity said to me in a voice similar to Raymond.

" Sure, of course i do… " I said to the person, for some reason I sounded older.

" great! I knew you would! "

" yep, i have a secret weapon for things such as this… "

" a secret weapon! Really? What kind of weapon? "

" why, isn't it obvious? Look at his legs smokey "

So the person's name was smokey…

" I basically blew them to smithereens and they still haven't healed yet, that's our ticket there "

" what do his legs have to do with your weapon? "

I patted my legs, " my legs are in great shape "

" So what are you gonna do then? "

The entrance was 20 meters away, and the other team was catching up.

" RUN AWAYYYYY! "

I began to run faster than I ever could, Evie and Raymond coughing as they were accidentally inhaling the trail of dust I was making.

" team Jojo wins! " Wobbuffet called out as we exited the mystery dungeon.

Ray released his vines and collapsed along with Evie.

" what, what the hell was that… " Raymond said as he dusted off his tail.

" I have no idea " I looked over at Evie, who just fainted.

" Congratulations! " Wobbuffet walked over to us and gave a chocolate bar to me and Ray, he put the third bar on an unconscious Evie's fur scarf.

Raymond's Perspective

I sighed as I munched on the chocolate, this Jojo kid was full of surprises.

When the school day ended…

As I finished packing up my bag Jojo came up to me.

" wanna walk with me? "

I wasn't sure why he always defended me, considering how everyone else treated me.

" yeah sure "

As we walked out the gate Evie came to us.

" can i join you guys? "

Jojo nodded.

Evie smiled, she had a really contagious smile.

We all started walking to our houses, Evie's house was the closest so we went there first.

She had a really nice house, it was really big.

Her grandparents were sitting outside, I never knew why she didn't live with her parents, or if they were still alive…

" welcome back Evie " her Jolteon grandpa walked up to us.

" you must be Jojo, I heard of your exploits in Mt Cyrus ".

Jolteon handed him an apple.

" just, stay safe "

Evie ran up to Jolteon, " gramps can I go out with Jojo, no wait not like that… i mean… "

Evie blushed, this was awkward.

" yeah sure Evie, he seems nice ".

Evie turned to us, " I know a really cool mystery dungeon nearby! Wanna come? "

Jojo rubbed his bandage," i gotta check in with Lucario first "

Wait Lucario is taking care of him!?

" you're with Lucario! That's so cool! "

Evie was jumping in excitement, " can i see her? "

" yeah sure… "

So we all went over to Lucario's house.

Evie's Perspective

Apparently being in a rescue team pays a lot, I found out about that by taking one look at Lucario's house, and I thought my house was big.

There was a note on her door, Raymond went up to it and read it.

" doing rescue team work, i'll be back at 6:00 " Raymond pulled a watch out of his bag.

" its 10:00, i guess you'll have the whole house to yourself "

Jojo pulled on the doorknob.

" it's locked, she literally locked me out of the house without a key, or did she… "

Jojo took off his bag and rummaged inside.

" got it! "

He pulled out a key and inserted it into the door's keyhole.

He opened the door and we all peered inside.

All of our jaws dropped.

This place was a full on mansion, the entrance had this soft red carpet, the walls were white with blue stripes.

The entrance led to the living room, it had this giant flat screen tv mounted on the wall and this big soft couch in front of it.

I leapt onto the couch and melted into it, it was the most comfortable thing ever.

Jojo was inspecting all the furniture, he was as awestruck as I was.

Raymond went and turned on the tv, it was set on the local news channel.

" school will be canceled tomorrow due to a heavy rainstorm approaching, and now, the stock mar- " Jojo immediately grabbed the remote and switched it to football.

" there is no way in hell i watch the stock market segment "

Raymond mouth went agape, " wait did it just say school was canceled!? "

Jojo thrust his hand into the air, " woooooooo ".

My face beamed, more time for adventuring!

Jojo sat on an armchair, " you guys know anything to pass the time? "

Raymond looked at me, he knew what I was about to suggest.

" well there is this mystery dungeon that I frequent… "

General Perspective

Nighttime - Pecha Town

A mysterious stranger strolled through Pecha Town, he was a Lucario, wore a black coat and grey scarf, and had a pony-tail.

It was dead silent, except for the sounds of his footsteps.

" it seems Jojo is but a mere Riolu, but unlike last time, all the odds are in my favor "

The sleepy, village of Pecha Town, was about to get a rude awakening.
