General Perspective

It was quite late out, Jolteon left the house, saying to Evie and Leafeon that he had to take care of some business. He lied, he was going to catch a criminal.

Jolteon walked down the dark streets, waiting for 'him' to come, he heard something behind him.

He turned around and saw the person he was trying to lure, " you must be Straizo, I heard everything about you ". he said to the dark figure.

Straizo looked over at Jolteon, " how did you know? "Jolteon was at unease by this Lucario's calmness.

" my granddaughter told me everything, your description, your abilities, it's almost as if you want to get caught… ".

" You are 100% right Mr Williams, but I'm afraid that was one of the last conversations you will have had with her... " Straizo gave a faint smile.

" that's all the evidence we need! " a robotic voice called out from behind Straizo, several Magnemites and a Magneton emerged out of some bushes.

The magnemites pointed their magnets at Straizo, sparking with electricity. Straizo scoffed, suddenly, all the Magnemites collapsed onto the ground, blood started soaking the pathway.

Jolteon jumped back in terror, watching in horror as Straizo looked down on the Magnemite corpses.

" when the news of your death goes public, Evie will be enraged, young Jojo will sympathize with her and try to find me, he will leave himself open, giving me the chance to strike ".

Jolteon was shocked, he couldn't believe that someone could be this evil, let alone standing in front of him.

He started to stumble back in fear, Straizo approached him, Jolteon shot out a thunder wave at him, hitting Straizo straight in the chest.

Straizo grunted, the thunder wave tore through his torso, but he still kept walking towards Jolteon.

" stay awa- ".

CRACK!

Straizo struck Jolteon straight in the head, blood spewed out of his head as he flew backwards. Jolteon laid there with one paw trying to stop the bleeding.

Straizo looked down on Jolteon, " I assure you Mr Williams, all of this is necessary, I will give you a quick and painless death as compensation ".

Jolteon gasped as Straizo's eyes started to turn purple, " look deep into my 「space ripper stingy eyes」Jolteon! " Straizo shot out highly pressurized eye fluid at Jolteon, it pierced straight through his head.

Straizo stood there for a few moments, he had a strange feeling, " Bruford, we must postpone your duel with Joseph, I have a feeling we would have a better chance if we waited ".

" This won't be like last time " he thought.

Bruford appeared behind him and grunted, before disappearing again.

January 20 - 2020

Raymond's Perspective

There was a strange feeling in the air during class today, I couldn't describe it, but it made me feel uneasy.

Jojo and Evie felt it too, Evie said she hasn't seen her granddad since two nights ago and it worried her and Leafeon horribly.

For some reason the school thought it was a good idea to have a " story time " class, I have to admit though, some of these stories were intriguing.

" Long ago a meteorite struck the surface of the planet, the meteor contained a virus that, once getting into the bloodstream, would cause a severe fever. It is near impossible to survive this infection, but a small minority of the planet's population possess something that lets them survive ".

The entire class was leaning forward on their seats.

" after surviving the fever, the virus unlocks a certain ability hidden inside the infected, scientists call this, a ' stand power ' ".

Knock Knock Knock

The door opened, a Magnezone came through and walked up to Mr Wobbuffet.

Wobbuffet turned his head, " oh hello chief of police, what brings you here? ".

The Magnezone turned to the class, " the department wanted to inform you all that there will be a curfew starting at 9:00 PM, I'm not trying to fear-monger, but there is… a serial killer on the loose ".

The class gasped, " a serial killer!? " I heard one kid say, the atmosphere in the room instantly changed, the tension got so thick I could probably cut a knife through it.

The Magnezone went over to Evie, " I would like to speak to Evie Williams with you, she has something to do with the case ". he asked Mr Wobbuffet, " sure, anything for the chief ".

Magnezone grunted and motioned for Evie to come outside the class, he closed the door as all three of them left.

The entire class turned to Jojo, " w-what are you guys looking at me for? ".

" you can detect auras right? Can you check what Evie and Wobbuffet are talking about? " an Axew said.

" hmm, alright, I'll try ".

His aura tendrils started floating and glowing blue, he closed his eyes as he tried to focus on their auras through the wall.

" I'm getting something, hold on… ".

His eyes opened and he looked quite somber, " not good, Wobbuffet is surprised, and Evie is feeling… grief ".

The class went silent, I spoke up, " Evie said that she didn't see her granddad for two days, maybe… ".

Everyone in the class looked at me, before looking down.

" I can't help but… nevermind " Jojo muttered.

We all stood there, unsure of what to say, Jojo's aura tendrils went up, " Wobbuffets coming back to class! everyone get to your seats! ", all of our classmates rushed to their desks, Wobbuffet walked in just as Jojo's aura tendrils flopped to the sides of his head.

He walked behind the teachers desk and sighed, " Evie will be taking the day off today " he looked over to the clock and saw that next period was about to start, " class dismissed ".

Jojo's Perspective

The rest of the day went by as usual, just with more tension in the air then normal.

I couldn't shake this weird feeling though, when I felt Evies aura when she talked to the police chief, I remember feeling the same thing, I was thinking about it during lunch when I remembered one of the phrases I heard when my memory was being probed.

" I heard a little something through the grapevine… "

I clenched my teeth and looked down.

" It seems Mr. Speedwagon has been murdered ".

I grunted and continued eating my lunch, who the hell was Speedwagon?, and who told me that? An idea popped into my head.

When the school day ended I walked over to Lucario's house, Ray followed me and noticed my expression.

" you're acting different Jojo, what's wrong? ", I said nothing and went up to the entrance.

Lucario opened the door and greeted us both, she gave a slight frown when she realized that Evie wasn't with us.

" Lucario, I need to ask you about something… " I said, trying to sound casual.

" is it about Evie? ".

" Partially, I need you to probe my memory again " it was a stretch, but if Lucario could dig deeper I might find out who this 'Speedwagon' was.

Raymond gave an inquisitive " hmm? " at me.

Lucario was... less than thrilled about the idea, " remember last time? " she said nonchalantly.

I grunted, " I promise I won't break down again ", Ray had no idea what we were talking about so he just backed away.

We went into the house and into the living room, Raymond watched as her arm and tendrils glowed blue as she probed my memory.

" I think I found something, hold on a sec… ".

My whole body went numb, then I heard Lucario grunt, " not to alarm you, but I think you're a human ".

" WHAT! " I jumped back and accidentally disrupted the memory probe, Ray exclaimed too.

Lucario jerked her hand back, " for crying out loud Jojo don't disrupt the probe like that, you could've gotten your brain fried! ".

I rubbed the back of my head, " sorry, but what's this crap about humans?! They don't exist anymore! ".

" watch your tone Jojo, it's just a hunch, your aura is different from a normal RIolu ".

What a load of…

" you still want to go ahead? " she tilted her head.

I sighed, " fine ".

She probed my memory again and this time we started to see something.

Young Jojo's Perspective

Date Unknown - Location Unknown

I was riding in one of Speedwagon's private jets, there was some commotion occurring at the front, probably nothing.

I was reading a comic book I brought along, I always enjoyed collecting comics.

" hey kid, you can't stay back here you know ", I looked up from my book and saw a masked man pointing a gun at me, how rude of him.

I peered over to the front and saw some other masked men restraining old Speedwagon, the hell?.

Oh… they want to ransom him, that's bad.

" you're hijacking the plane and kidnapping Speedwagon correct? This is his problem not mine, I'm only a bystander, now just do your business and leave me out of it " I said while flicking my hand.

The kidnappers grunted, then the oaf smacked me in the nose with the butt of his gun! The nerve of this man!

I fell down onto the floor alongside Speedwagon, he gasped as blood trickled down my nose onto my suit, wait… this suit was a gift from granny! I'm going to teach these people a lesson!

I got up and glared at them, Speedwagon tried to calm me down, " Jojo control yourself! ".

I know... I'll knock out the pilot and jump out, " you fellows did know the possibility of a crash if you hijacked this plane did you not!? ", I turned around and placed my hands on the pilot, my arms started glowing yellow.

Sparks flew out of the pilots head and he collapsed! How did I do that?

The plane's control wheel started spinning around, along with the plane itself.

Objects started flying everywhere, I flew to the side and rammed into a wall.

" what did that kid do!? ".

" someone grab the controls! ".

" I don't know how to fly you idiot! "

I tore a chair out of the floor, " grab one of the chairs we're going to jump! " I told Speedwagon who was holding the unconscious pilot.

I waited for Speedwagon to grab a chair and I forced open the door, everything started flying out, including us.

Everything became a blur when I was falling, all I remember was holding onto the chair as hard as I could.

When I finally collided with the ground, the chair thankfully hit the dirt first, I grunted as I touched down.

I got up and looked around for Speedwagon, I gave a relieved sigh seeing that he and the pilot were safe too.

Speedwagon got up and went over to me, " why can't you just think things through Jojo? ".

I scoffed, " actually I do, mostly how to keep you and granny Erina safe… "

I laid back down on the seat, " you two are the only family that I have left ".

Jojo's Perspective

Lucario gently removed her hand from me and I fell down from exhaustion, still no info about Speedwagon.

But wow I was such a brat back then!

Ray ran over and helped me up, I thanked him and rubbed my forehead.

" I guess you're right, I was a human, " I said to Lucario.

" You gotta tell me what you saw, " Raymond said.

I said nothing, " speaking of telling people, you still havent told me how you ended up in that hospital ".

Lucario exhaled, " fine… ".

She told me about a bunch of murders happening around the town, and how she almost caught the culprit, the murderer's name was Straizo, that name definitely felt familiar, she said that Straizo was after me, and how he was near invincible.

She described how he casually dug a bullet out of his cranium once, this guy wasn't a normal Lucario.

" like a vampire? " I suggested.

She looked unamused, like I just said a bad joke, she was just about to chastise me before seeing my serious expression.

" y-you're not joking… are you? ".

I nodded, she looked towards Ray and he nodded too.

I explained my hamon ability, and how it combats vampires and undead, and how Ray, Evie and me were attacked by monsters in a mystery dungeon.

We spent the rest of our day just hanging out and talking, until we heard manic pounding on the door, and a familiar voice begging to be let in.

Lucario paced towards the door and opened it, it was Evie!

She was panting out of exhaustion, " Evie what's going on! Calm down! ", Lucario demanded.

She was so tired she couldn't say anything, looking at her aura, she was terrified.

It was dark out, and only 2 hours until the curfew, both Lucario and mines aura tendrils activated.

" get inside, now " we both said simultaneously, someone else was here.

Evie rushed inside and locked the door, Lucario closed the blinds and only took occasional peeks through the shutters.

I could feel several hostile presences around the house, Lucario did too.

They started surrounding the house, we couldn't see them since it was so dark but we could sense them.

She motioned for us to follow her, she led us to a bedroom connected to a long hallway, she told us all to stay there until she said to come out, I insisted I could help her, she begrudgingly only had Evie and Ray stay in there.

We felt some presences near the right side of the house, we heard thumping, and then…

SMASH!

The sound of glass shattering, we both flinched when we heard it.

There were two hostiles in the house, Lucario's paws glowed blue, I picked the steel clackers out of my bag and hid them behind my back.

We both approached the two entities while slightly crouching down, it was two Salandit, the lizard men were looking for something.

I got behind one of them and quickly knocked him out by striking him hard with my clackers, Lucario quickly swooped in and subdued the other.

She inspected one of the unconscious salandit, " Team Syndicate, I knew they would find me ", wait, Team Syndicate is after her too!?

" but I didn't think it would be this fast, I must've been too messy in my last investigation ".

Oh no… I forgot to tell her about what happened in Charles cafe! They probably got pissed after I interrupted that extortion.

We could feel some more presences entering the house, this time on the opposite side.

Wait a minute, that's where Evie and Ray are!

We rushed over to the hallway connected to the room that they barricaded themselves into, we both peered through the hallway and saw a Sceptile and a Zangoose trying to barge in, thankfully the door was blocked.

" we know you're in there runts, come on out! ".

Lucario's paws glowed blue, " If I can just hit them with an aura sphe- ".

" 「hamon clacker volley! 」" I chucked the pair of hamon infused clackers at the Zangoose, knocking out his teeth and rendering him unconscious.

The Sceptile fired a hyper beam at me, I dove to the side, Lucario shot some kind of energy blast at it, the Sceptile flew back and slammed into a wall.

" a-are they still there? " we heard a muffled Raymond say inside the room.

I jokingly replied in a gruff voice, " this is Team Syndicate open u- " I was interrupted by Lucario whacking me in the head.

" That's just Jojo, it's safe now ".

The door opened revealing both Ray and Evie who looked like their lives just flashed before their eyes, maybe it did.

" you guys o- " I was interrupted again by Evie tackling me in the groin.

" what kind of sick joke was that!? We were almost killed! " Evie growled at me.

I collapsed onto the floor clutching my private bit, " ah come on, can't you take a joke!? " I groaned out.

" stop that, both of you, there are still some here ".

We all just stood there, the last presences were still lurking outside the house.

Then suddenly, a bunch of more entities surrounded the house, the ones that were here before started to hastily leave.

It was the police, I grinned, everyone else exhaled in relief as the Magnemites barged in.

" freeze! Get on the ground! " the Magnemites pointed their magnets at us.

" woah woah woah hold up, we were the ones getting attacked! " Lucario raised her hands up.

Everything after that was a blur, I was getting pushed around and before I could utter a single word I was outside the house watching the Team Syndicate members being arrested.

" hey Jojo " Evie came up behind me, " sorry about tackling you in the balls earlier ".

" it's alright, why were those mafia guys coming after you anyway? "

" they weren't ".

What? If they were not chasing her then why was she so terrified at the door?

" Then why did you come here? ".

She paused for a few seconds, " someone else was after me ".

I tried to keep my tone of voice down, " who… ".

" he was this weird aegislash, he didn't have a shield, and his sword looked strange ".

I had no idea what to do in this type of situation, " just… tell the police officer over there about it, i'm sure they're gonna be of more help ".

She nodded and went over to one of the Magnemite, I didn't bother to watch.

I waited for the Magnemites to leave before I went back in and jumped into my bed, pulling the covers over me and letting everything go dark.

Lucario's Perspective

Well that was an… interesting night.

After I finished talking with the Magnemites, I could sense Jojo running up to his room and going to bed, I don't blame him, he was probably tired as hell.

A few minutes passed, I went up to Jojo's room to check on him. That was a strange memory that I dug up… there could possibly be something in there that could connect him to Straizo.

My aura tendrils levitated and I looked at my now glowing arm, I knew this was unethical, but just one more memory probe wouldn't hurt…

I went over to the bed and placed my glowing paw on his forehead, he stirred a bit but didn't notice.

I began shuffling through his memories, until I found another memory.

Straizo was in it, some details were fuzzy, but I could still tell what was going on.

After seeing the whole thing, I muttered something under my breath.

" where did he get the tommy gun? "

To be honest I had no clue what I was doing when I was writing this.
