Chapter 4:

A month later a gorgeous blonde entered the plantation house while a male blonde got their bags from the European tour they were on.

"Kol you prat you better answer your damn phone or else!" the female screeched as she entered and freaked out Hayley who was on the second landing, reading a book on the windowsill in her room. "I'll kill you!"

"Who the hell are you?" Hayley shouted as she saw three blondes and as the two blondes looked at her, the long haired blonde sneered.

"You're the maid I assume?" She gave her a sickly sweet smile. "Help Stefan with the bags why don't you?" Hayley could tell that it was a demand and the blonde male nodded.

"I'm sure that Stefan could handle the bags on his own," Klaus drawled from behind Hayley where they were having a heart-to-heart while Elijah had Elena on a date. "You can find your old room no?" His eyes darkened. "Hayley is not the maid unlike your boytoy…did you get Elijah's permission to have him live here?" He knew that Elijah wouldn't allow it to happen lest they wanted to be heartless.

Rebekah glowered as she knew-like he did-that Elijah wouldn't allow it.

"It's not like he cares brother," Rebekah decided to angle this to her viewpoint. "He and Kol never answer my phone calls and Stefan is here to help me mentally."

"Where's Kol?" Stefan asked the Original Hybrid as he looked him dead in the eye.

"Taking an autumn nap in a wooden box somewhere," Elijah told them as he appeared behind Rebekah with Elena in his arms. "Though Marcellus told me that Niklaus bartered Kol to him." He looked at Rebekah with a raised eyebrow. "You remember him don't you sister? You two were to be married until Mikael came."

Stefan had a shocked expression on his face as he stared at Rebekah who was paling before her eyes narrowed in on the girl in Elijah's arms. Her lips were pulled into a smirk.

"It seems as though you forgot to mention it to her about you and Katerina," Rebekah's voice took on a silky tone. "He was dating her."

"He told me about her and how you knew of her and Kol," the girl said with a raised eyebrow. "I'm hungry for ice cream and as some of the witches were making me feel unwanted and uncomfortable Lijah brought me back home for ice cream." Leaving his arms she kissed him, allowing her tongue to explore his mouth before pulling away. "Come on Hayley-we can binge out on ice cream together and plan nurseries."

Hayley grinned and followed her friend while the brothers decided to speak to their baby sister and her lover.

"Elena knows everything," Elijah added. "She's a witch and Hayley is not just her best friend but something of a sister to her." He checked his watch before looking at Klaus. "Moira will be coming soon for her annual donation and she's going to be alone as Bonnie is making lanterns for Damon who is on the Other Side."

Klaus nodded.

"Quite tragic that he died after having gotten the witch girl and discovering he was going to be a father," Klaus spoke to Stefan. "It's a shame that his little brother wasn't there and abandoned them."

"Moira's a vampire," Rebekah told them. Elijah laughed.

"She made a deal with Elena that would make everyone believe that she's a vampire when she wasn't," Elijah told them. "Elena found a spell after Moira tracked her down in Missouri with Tyler's help. A potion was brewed that would give Moira a vampire-esque personality or something."

"You didn't pay attention?" Stefan asked as he sat down with the weight of knowing that Damon was dead and he didn't know.

"Kinda hard for him to pay attention when Moira kept interrupting her," Klaus mused as he walked into the kitchen to see the pregnant wolf and witch eating ice cream. "Ladies? Would you both like to eat outside by the pool?"

Stefan looked at the cellphone in his hand and wondered whether or not he should call Bonnie to express his condolences.

His brother is dead and he was going to be an uncle.

He shut his eyes and thought about shutting it off but he couldn't.

"You okay?" He opened his eyes and saw Rebekah next to him. "I'm sorry about Damon," she added sorrowfully.

"I should have answered my phone but I never did," he admitted. "I thought they were dragging me into more dangerous situations and drama…not that my big brother was dying."

She rubbed his shoulders and he buried his face in her arm, hot tears falling from his eyes.

"Was it Caroline's idea to not answer?" She asked knowing that he was with her in France and Italy for some time.

"No," he told her sadly. "It was mine-she pushed me to answer and when I never did she showed me how to block people…I blocked them."

A young dark haired girl was running through the Quarter, hiding herself in the shadows with a young man.

"Are you sure that you want to go to the Mikaelsons?" He asked her and she nodded.

"They can try to save me from the coven," she whispered softly.

Rebekah went into the bar where she saw an older woman talking with a younger woman who seemed worried.

"I can help you if you want," Rebekah told them as she sat beside the younger woman. "What are your names?"

"I'm Katie and this is the coven leader Agnes," the younger woman whispered. "How can you help us?" Rebekah smirked.

"If you help me find my brother Kol and his girlfriend I'll get whoever you want," she said simply. "As well as get rid of whoever you want to get rid of."

"What's it to you?" Agnes asked icily.

"Obviously I want to make my brothers regret that stupid promise of 'always and forever'," she began, "second I want their girlfriends Elena and Hayley gone and three…" here she smiled wickedly, "I want them to suffer like I had for ninety years."

In the background four people were eavesdropping. One of them was an elderly lady around her late fifties-possibly early sixties-in a Hawaiian floral print shirt and skirt combo next to an elderly male in the same age range wearing the same kind of shirt and stretchy pants but it was the two people beside them that stood out.

The younger woman looked to be in her late twenties or early thirties with her black hair pulled into a high ponytail with the ends barely brushing her collarbone wearing cargo pants, hiking boots and a long sleeve black shirt underneath a pink camouflage vest. Her eyes were a rich dark chocolate color.

The man next to her was dressed the same except his vest was an orange camouflage color and hazel brown eyes with his dark hair in a buzz cut.

"So they know the girls," the elderly woman's Romanian accent held a tint of Bulgarian to it. "I wonder what kind of trouble our angels got into."

"If they're like Isobel," the younger man began chuckling, "then the trouble is exceptional." He looked thoughtful. "Lena never told us why she's been 'off'…" now the younger woman looked worried.

"Do you think she transitioned?" She worried. "I know that she was possibly thinking about it but wasn't sold yet…"

"Clara?" The elderly lady looked at the younger male. "Can you go into the blonde woman's mind and figure out where the girls are?"

"I already started," Clara answered after she took a drink of the Shirley Temple.

Davina wasn't sure why but as she entered the plantation house, she grew worried as a young woman watched her curiously. Josh would have gone in but he waited outside in case he needed to take her somewhere else.

"What are you doing here and who are you?" She asked and Davina gulped.

"I'm who the witches are searching for," Davina whispered with a voice full of worry. "Davina Claire."

"Moira Gilbert," the woman introduced. "I can take you to Klaus." She smiled weakly. "Bi monthly blood donations."

"Why?"

Such a simple question that Moira closed her eyes.

"Sacrifices come in all ways," she whispered. "I was in his ritual to unlock his wolf side. I come here now every two months to donate my blood."

Davina looked surprised and as Moira led her to Klaus who was placing the three blood bags in a briefcase, the human doppelganger cleared her throat. He looked at her and as he looked at the young girl behind her, he raised an eyebrow as if to say 'explain please'.

"She walked in and mentioned that the witches here are after her," Moira answered him. "Her name's Davina Claire."

"Marcel was protecting her from them," Klaus mused as he remembered Marcel saying something like that before he trapped him in the Garden. "Something about the witches and rituals."

"The Harvest Ritual and then the Reaping," Davina explained hoarsely as she stood in front of Klaus Mikaelson himself. His presence was just…domineering. "They want to finish the Ritual to start the Reaping and if they don't they're magicless."

Elena laid in the bed with Elijah, his fingers going through her hair as she was writing out a list of baby girl names while his list of baby boy names lay on the top of his beside dresser.

"I like the name Avalon Sirena," Elena mused. "Serena but spelled like the sirens from Greek Mythology."

"I like the name Thea Astrid or even Astrid Brooke," he whispered. "But I'm partial to Henry James," he grinned and kissed her nose.

Sophie and Sabine were in the kitchen of Rousseau's, with Sophie cooking when Agnes and a few witches entered.

Sabine didn't know why-she hadn't even seen the pregnant women since they were kidnapped so she wasn't sure why.

A black powder was blown in her face and she fell down, knocked out.

Agnes smirked as one of the witches held Sophie in his arms and Agnes made a motion for them to follow her as she had a very dark object in her pocket.

A very dark object created by Kol Mikaelson himself-the Needle of Sorrows, used to cause a woman to miscarry.

Elena wasn't sure why but she felt unusually warm and lethargic, her muscles feeling heavy.

"Can you turn the AC on?" Elena gurgled out. Elijah felt her forehead and as he touched her neck, he removed his fingers and found blood on the pads of his fingers.

"What happened?" He asked as he peered into her glassy eyes.

"Possibly dark magic," she murmured as she was looking at him but her vision was bleary. "I'm burning up."
