shd Hello everyone (or at least everyone who read this story). It's been a while! I kind of wanted to come back and tell you guys a few things and explain why I kinda just ditched this fanfiction series.
1. It was poorly written - I really regret writing in script format. I think it makes it feel less like a full fleshed TD story and more like a draft. And overall I think my writing is just...childish, especially for my age. Of course you get better as you write, but looking back there are spelling errors and words that were used over and over and over again and it just looks like a rushed mess. I also reused a ton of dialogue from the original TDI so that kinda sucked.
Time - I started writing episode 1 of TDA back in July when TDI ended and it's been sitting unfinished in google docs since. School has been very difficult and stressful and most of the time I have to myself I'd rather not spend writing more, even if it is for something I love.
Lack of readers and interest - Some people may say "so you're just writing for the views?" and the answer is no. But there were like 2 people max commenting on this series everytime I put an episode out. And even though the episodes were in script format, it usually took me between 1.5 to 2 hours to write each one, which is a lot of time and dedication for something that nobody is going to read. I know the fandom is dying and it may not be the most popular format so I'm not blaming anyone but it is very discouraging when it feels like I'm putting this stuff out for people to read and it's like I just sent it to a desert. I do thank the few people that were dedicated enough to comment on each episode. I appreciate it. But when you spend time on work and then it's not really viewed or seen, it just sucks.
So with that I am left with the option to continue or leave the story as it is. I'm not sure what I'll do yet as I have felt inspired to write recently and I'll be on break soon, however I just personally do not know if this is something I want to pursue again. I had some pretty grand plans for this series and I don't wanna see them go to waste so if I don't end up rewriting, I'll come back and give anyone who cares some insider info on the other seasons.
