The Agents Of DIO

September 30, 2020 - Peacekeeper Agency, Team Ripple's Common Room

Narrator

" A hurricane warning remains in effect for Southern Jericho and nearby towns, Hurricane Lamarr is expected to make landfall at about 2:00 PM toda- " JoJo turned off the radio.

" * sniff *Whew, I'm glad we're up north " JoJo sighed right after blowing his nose, he, Oliver and Charlotte were in their dorm's common room.

" Yeah, sounds like a real doozy " Oliver the oshawott absentmindedly strummed his guitar, " are Evie and Ray out doing guild work right now? The storm might mess them up pretty bad ".

" We're in northern Jericho, not southern. They're going to be just fine " Charlotte rubbed her eyes while laying on a couch.

" I hope… " JoJo looked out a window while subconsciously stroking one of his aura tendrils. After a while, a memory popped into his head, he turned around and looked at his guildmates." hey, did I ever tell you guys about the time I blew up a cafe? ".

Meanwhile In Jericho Harbor

" So this is the place huh? " Evie mumbled as she held a job paper in one of her paws.

" Who knew working for elites gives us the same jobs as normal guilds? I would've really preferred more intense stuff, like wrestling Groudon or something " Raymond remarked as they both entered the eerily desolate docks. Raymond was wearing the long blue scarf that his mom gave him, it had the guild badge on it.

" Hello! Is anyone there!? " Evie shouted, to the both of them it seemed like the docks were completely deserted.

They both awkwardly stood there for a minute, " ugh... I guess it was just a prank call " Raymond turned around and…

" Ahoy there! sorry I'm late " a tall muscular feraligatr was crouched down to the little snivy's level just inches away from his face. The feraligatr was wearing a white captains hat and a big red scarf.

" AAH! " Raymond recoiled back.

" Oh! Sorry about my friend, he's a bit jumpy ", Evie held a paw on Raymond's side.

" It's okay, let me guess what you're thinking right now, you're thinking to yourself: is this the person who sent in the job? " The feraligatr scratched his chin.

' Umm yes, we were t-thinking that " Raymond stuttered.

" We're here to deal with the.. Let's see here… " Evie looked into the job paper again, " squatters inside your ship? ".

" It's a long story " Feraligatr stared into nothingness for a second. He suddenly let out the biggest sneeze that the duo had ever witnessed., " oh, sorry * sniff *, right this way " he motioned for the two guildies to follow him.

" By the way, if it's not too inquisitive to ask, what's your name? " Raymond asked the feraligatr as they walked over to a large ship.

" My my, you have a large vocabulary for a kid, I am… " he took off his hat.

Captain John " Dragon " Tennille

Captain Tennile put his hat back on.

" Pleased to make your acquaintance Captain! " Evie took off her fedora and lowered her head.

" H-hi " Raymond just couldn't shake the feeling that something was up with this feraligatr, but he noticed that Evie showed no signs of concern despite her ability to sense traps.

" It's just your imagination, don't worry yourself Ray " Raymond thought to himself.

" Well, we're almost at the place " Captain Tennile pointed towards a large boat, " somehow a bunch of feral rattatas got in, and I don't… ", he pulled out a tissue and preemptively put it against his snout, a muffled sneeze erupted from his nose. Tossing the tissue in a nearby trash can, he continued his speech, " -have the time to chase them out ".

" Don't worry Monsieur, we'll be in and out in no time! " Evie grabbed onto Raymond's leafy arm and pulled him along towards the boat.

" Ahh, kids " Captain Tennille smiled as they pranced over to the boat.

THUD!

The feraligatr quickly turned around to the source of the noise, whatever caused it was hiding behind a crate.

" Oooh, a stowaway, that's the third one this week " he bared his intimidatingly sharp teeth and slowly approached the crate with his claws drawn.

" SHOW YOURSELF SCALLYWA- "

BONK!

The feraligatr fell face first onto the boardwalk as a result of a baseball bat being smashed over his head by a near-identical looking feraligatr, the impostor smirked, " now all I need to do is beat the Joestar's location out of those two pipsqueaks ".

He tore the captains hat and scarf off of Captain Tennille, putting them both on. The impostor got down and slung the unconscious body over his shoulder, walking to the edge of the boardwalk and tossing him into the water.

" Here's dinner Dark Blue, dessert is coming soon enough..." The feraligatr's body floated in the water for a bit, suddenly it was pulled down into the depths. Soon enough the water where the captain used to float was clouded up with blood.

A tiny bit of time later…

The door of the boat's main room flew open, several feral rattatas scurried out.

" Yeah! And stay out! " Evie gloated.

" Ahh, nice work there you little tikes" Captain Tennille appeared out of nowhere.

Evie smiled, " we would like our payment now s'il vous plait " her smile diminished when she felt her ears tingling, " something's wrong ".

" Ah yes, follow me " the feraligatr led them over to a small white concrete building, " just wait here " Captain Tennille went inside.

A few seconds passed by, and the duo was already getting impatient.

Out of nowhere a loud sound caught their attention, they quickly shifted their gaze to the sight of one of Tennilles ships sinking into the ocean!

Evie gasped, " we have to tell the Captain! ", they both started banging on the door, suddenly the door opened, " what's going… on… " the feraligatr saw another boat in the distance sink into the ocean.

He pushed aside the two small pokemon to get a better look. Evie's ears twitched.

" Shiver me timbers… " Tennille forced his eyes to widen.

" What's going on? It's possibly an aquatic feral attacking the docks, but the location of this area makes it unlikely considering we're far from feral territory " Raymond tried to rationalize the situation in his mind.

" It must be a rabid gyarados! " said Captain Tennille, " listen kiddos, if you help me take this thing down I'll reward double your initial payoff! ".

" This is definitely a trap… " Evie's ears lowered to the sides of her head. Meanwhile… in Raymond's consciousness: " WOOOOO! MONAAAAAAY! " he frantically nodded his head in agreement.

" Alright, you, Raymond, grab that harpoon gun and get to the end of that boardwalk " Captain Tennille ordered the snivy, Raymond softly grunted and picked up a harpoon gun off of a nearby crate, he slung it over his back.

Every fiber of Evie's being was telling her that something was horribly wrong, but she just couldn't put a paw on what.

Raymond rushed to the end of the boardwalk, he pulled out the harpoon gun with one of his vines, the end of the green appendage was rolled up so it would fit into the trigger hole, a second vine was holding the other half of the harpoon gun to stabilise it.

Suddenly something in Evie clicked, " of course… ".

The water around Raymond started to ripple.

" What did you do… " Evie asked the feraligatr.

" Hmm? " the feraligatr scratched the back of his head, " what do you mean Evie? ".

" What did you do… TO THE REAL CAPTAIN TENNILLE!? " Evie interrogated.

" Uhh, what are you saying? I am the real Captain " the feraligatr held his hands up.

The boards underneath Raymond started to shake.

" I'm no dolt like Raymond, you actually made it painfully obvious that you were a fake " Evie smirked.

Captain Tennille growled, prompting Evie to huff.

" You see, you gave it all away when you came to us on the boat, I noticed the real Tennille had a cold, you are clearly healthy "

" i just took my medication, that's all! ".

" You also called us by our names, but we didn't introduce ourselves. ".

" I-I knew you were coming, the Agency told me specifically the names of the people who were coming ".

Evie smirked, " that's actually wrong, the Agency never tells clients the names of agents who take up their jobs, should've thought this through more dumbass ".

Captain Tennille stood in place, his eyes ominously rolled to the back of his head, " nice work there, but playing kid detective wont save your friend from turning into mincemeat! ".

Evie turned around to glance at Raymond, " I think I see the gyarados! " Raymond aimed the harpoon gun at a shadow in the water.

" Ray that's not a g- " the eevee got caught in a headlock from the feraligatr, " I only need one of you to tell me the Joestar's location ", Impostor Tennille squeezed hard on Evie's neck.

" ack, R-Raay… " Evie watched as the shadow in the water got closer to the oblivious snivy.

The snivy aimed down the middle of the gun, waiting for what he thought was the gyarados to pop up.

A huge blue pokemon burst out of the water, but it wasn't a gyarados. It was a blue, scaly bipedal fish monster, it had a flat head, four eyes, it had a big dorsal fin on its back and some fins on its legs, it also had webbed hands and feet.

Ray clicked the trigger of the harpoon gun, " i-its jammed! " he exclaimed as he watched the monster get closer to him.

The snivy whacked the harpoon gun with one of his vines, causing the gun to discharge and send the harpoon flying towards the unknown pokemon, a smug smile of victory spread across Raymond's face.

And that smile was quickly wiped off his face at the sight of the harpoon going straight through the monster as if it was-

Evie's Perspective

A ghost… wait that's not a pokemon at all!

" R-Raymond! That's his sta- ACK! " Impostor Tennille squeezed harder on my neck, silencing me.

Raymond dove out of the enemy stand's way, it plowed through the boardwalk that he once stood on, an expression of shock was etched on the snivy.

Raymond looked back at me and finally realised that the feraligatr was the bad guy, he charged at him, only for the boards under him to collapse.

" RAY! " I chomped hard on Impostor Tennille's arm, tasting sweat, saltwater and villainy, he yelped and released his grip on me, Raymond extended a vine out to me as he clung on to the edge of the giant hole in the boardwalk.

I dove forward and bit on the vine, I jerked my head to the side, hoisting him up.

" T-thanks, now how do we take out this guy? " Raymond grit his teeth.

" Oh its simple " Impostor Tennille cackled, " YOU DON'T! My Stand: 「Dark Blue Moon」is more powerful than you can ever imagine! "

"「Dark Blue Moon」! Come on out! " The stand now-named 「Dark Blue Moon」burst out of the water beside Impostor Tennille, " hmm, I've never seen it stand on the boardwalk, perhaps it works best in water... " I thought to myself, I can probably use this to my advantage. The stand disappeared.

" Ray… I need you to listen to me, I have a plan " I whispered to the snivy on my right.

" Yeah? Let's hear it ".

3 days earlier…

" Alright Evie, I thought long and hard about this, I trust you enough to bear this knowledge " JoJo said to me, we were on patrol on the streets of the No 'Mon's Land looking for bad guys who were hiding.

I nodded.

" I am going to teach you… My secret technique, it is the most effective and versatile in my arsenal, even more powerful than hamon if use it correctly ".

" More powerful than hamon? ".

" Yes, in fact, I Intend to pass it on to my descendants as well, its efficiency is not to be forgotten after I die ".

" Ok, tell me then ".

" I must warn you Evie, you must always put all of your confidence and soul into this technique, or you will die using it ".

" Alright alright! Just tell me already, this anticipation is killing me ".

I softly grunted, " now, do exactly what I do " he turned to the side, looking down the desolate street.

He put one foot forward and the other bent down on the ground, both of his arms were raised at his sides, he took in a deep breath, sparks of hamon were visible .

" Remember, in a situation of life and death, you must continue this until your last breath… you have to… ".

Present Day

" RUN AWAAAAAAY! RAAAYYYMOOOND! " I bolted the opposite direction from Impostor Tennille.

" Seriously!? " he grumbled in disbelief and ran along with me, leaving Impostor Tennille standing there in shock.

" Really? All of that buildup for this? Oh well " 「Dark Blue Moon」burst out of the water again and threw several razor-sharp projectiles at us, they just barely missed me and the snivy.

We finally got off of the boardwalk, we both ran behind an empty building.

" I figured 「Dark Blue Moon」can only attack us best when it's underwater, as long as we're in a dry area we should be- "

Drip… Drip… Drip…

" Safe… " droplets of rain started to fall around us…

Raymond had a confused look on his face, it slowly shifted into horror once he realised what was happening.

" Oh merde… " I swore under my breath.

Only a few seconds of silence passed before both of us were absolutely drenched in water from the shoreline,

" Uhh, Evie, since it's an aquatic stand, i'm pretty sure it can come after us no- " a strange liquid splattered all over the snivy.

" Ew! What is this stuff? " he tried to wipe the weird sticky substance off of his scaly head.

" Its sticky, and elastic, it's almost as if its salivaaaaaooohhhfuc- " I slowly looked upwards where the stuff was coming from and saw「Dark Blue Moon」hanging just above us with its mouth open, displaying its intimidating set of sharp teeth, with saliva just pouring out of its mouth.

…

" Eep " Raymond quietly squealed.

" RUN! " I bit Ray's leafy arm and pulled him away from the wall, 「Dark Blue Moon」 jumped down to where we were standing before, it glared at us.

The stand raised both of its webbed arms into the air, it then slammed them down, somehow shooting several small blue projectiles at us.

One of them got impaled in the snivy's shoulder, Raymond let out a yelp as he ran faster with me.

" W-what did it just shoot?! " I exclaimed.

The snivy pulled the sharp blue thing out of his shoulder, " its a scale, its shooting its own scales at us! ".

We ran into an empty building, it seemed to be some sort of factory. Machines of varying designs were all over the place.

" Tinker Tom would have a field day in here, look at all of this stuff… " Raymond mumbled.

" Ahem! we're getting chased by a giant bloodthirsty enemy stand, remember? " I lightly jabbed him in the side.

He hastily nodded, " oh yeah, I-I just like to ramble on when I'm nervous ".

" Well do- ".

Click… Click… Click…

We both slowly looked up, seeing that same stand hanging from a ceiling lamp, it was making an unnatural clicking sound with its mouth.

「Dark Blue Moon」jumped down, prompting a scream from both me and Ray. The snivy brought out a vine and whipped at the stand, the vine went straight through it just like the harpoon.

The stand swung it's webbed arm at Ray, I tackled the snivy to the ground so he wouldn't be hit, unsurprisingly, I took the brunt of the attack, sending me flying across the factory. After some time soaring through the air I collided with one of the machines, the force of the impact annihilated the contraption… and my consciousness.

" welp, you're on your own Ray… "

Raymond's Perspective

" Evie! " I called out to the unconscious eevee.

" She ain't the one you need to worry about " 「Dark Blue Moon」said in a distorted voice similar to Impostor Tennille's.

I turned around, both of my vines were extending out of the curved yellow parts on my neck, I tried to say some kind of witty intimidating threat, but all that came out was a small squeal.

The enemy stand made that same clicking sound, but faster.

" I can't do any damage to him by attacking his stand… What do I do? What would JoJo do? ".

I took some quick glances around, because his stand manifests so clearly here, the user must be extremely close. I have the type advantage, so I just need to get the drop on him.

" Let me guess what you're thinking, Landlubber, ' his stand is so powerful, perhaps he's nearby, the best chance I have against him is to attack him directly ' " The feraligatr was hanging from the ceiling like 「Dark Blue Moon」was earlier.

I recoiled back, " damn, he can see right through me… ".

" I heard you Agency scallywags are pretty tough, your eevee friend fits the bill perfectly, you on the other hand, just a lily-livered salad snake that got in out of pure luck ".

I growled, " he's just trying to make me lose focus, I can't let him scare me ".

" I'll make this quick brother! "

" I'M LETTING HIM SCARE ME! "

Impostor Tennille jumped down from the ceiling, time seemed to slow down from my perspective, I noticed that 「Dark Blue Moon」was standing in view of an open window with rain water pouring down on him, he could've moved forward and attacked me right there.

" that's it! It's not as powerful when it's not in contact with water, I just need to stay away from the rainy bits of this building and I'll be fine ".

I leapt backwards right before the feraligatr landed, I extended both vines out of my neck.

Impostor Tennille landed gracefully while crouched down, " ' his stand can't attack me without touching water, so all I need to do is stay away from the windows ', that was your little plan wasn't it brother? ".

" YAHHH " I brought my right vine up and quickly slammed it down on his shoulder before he could react, instead of a bruise like I expected, a cut appeared on where I hit him.

" I can use leaf blade now? ".

Impostor Tennille leapt forward with both of his huge arms extended to the sides, trying to catch me in a spine-crushing bewear-hug.

I ducked right under his arms and slashed his chest, he grunted as I did a combat roll ( stumbled ) under the gap between his legs.

" I can't take this guy out, I need to grab Evie and get out of here " I thought to myself as I leapt away from 「Dark Blue Moon」's flying scales.

But as if he read my mind, Impostor Tennille ran to the only exit and got into a umpire stance.

" seriously!? " I growled, well there goes my escape plan.

A scale sliced through the surface of my face, " that hurts! " tears formed beneath my eyes.

" NOW DARK BLUE! END HIM " 「Dark Blue Moon」raised its arms up and slammed them down, releasing another hail of scales at me.

I noticed a big sheet of metal on the ground, I quickly lifted it up and used it as a shield. The collision of the scales and the metal blew me back several feet.

Now, any normal pokemon would've scrambled to get up, but for some reason, I just lay there, the sheet of metal on top of me covering my entire body.

" I can't beat him… " I lacked the motivation to move my body, " Evie's gonna get kidnapped, and JoJo will…. I don't even want to know! ".

" Oi! It's a celery stick! " that punk jimmy's voice manifested in my head.

" Are you that dense to be working with that useless salad snake! " that one charmander from school yelled.

" You should probably stay back, let the more experienced guys go first " JoJo said back in one of our earlier expeditions.

" HA! Raymond's a scardy-skitty~ " my classmates jauntily sung.

" You studied so hard to be a doctor and now you want to be in a guild all of a sudden… " my mom was right, it was better for me to just ditch the guild.

" Oh! Sorry about my friend, he's a bit jumpy " that would be an understatement Evie...

" Ray don't provoke th- " If I wasn't so scared then Evie wouldn't've gotten attacked by the golbat.

" Ah come on Ray... it's just a cave~ " okay to be honest that was genuinely Charlotte's fault.

Impostor Tennille picked up a long sharp rod of rebar off the ground and slowly walked over to me, " let me guess, you're reminiscing on all the times you were a failure ".

Right again, you dickwad… right again…

I could hear the rod scraping against the ground as Impostor Tennille got closer to me.

" Then you'll need this " I passed Bruford's sword of luck and pluck to JoJo.

" Oh crap Evie is dying! " I crouched down and pulled out my medical kit. If I hadn't treated her right there and then she would've died.

" Actually, it isn't " I held up Dewott's bag, If I hadn't snatched the bag from the cave we would've never gotten into the guild in the first place.

Part of that was true, I actually wanted to study medicine because I was inspired by Josuke's stand power. If I hadn't gotten into the cave with Charlotte then I wouldn't have been able to treat us three in almost every expedition.

I shuffled along the outside of the train car, when I finally got to the window of the baggage car I climbed through the window and cleared the way for everyone else. If I hadn't gone through the window then Sigma would have gotten away with his plan.

" Cool name, " Jojo said to me while I was in the cage, calming me down.

" Lets strike an agreement, you don't mess around with Raymond or anyone else… " JoJo pulled the wartortle closer to him, " and I won't pound you in ".

" Wanna join my team? " JoJo asked me.

" Can I join too? " Evie asked us.

Why were they so nice to me? Out of all of the people they could've been friends with, it was me? Why?

" Did the sheer force of those scales snap your neck or something? Oh well, wouldn't hurt to bash your brains in just in case " Impostor Tennille was towering over me. I still hadn't bothered to lift off the sheet of metal.

" Was it because they were just trying to be nice? or they thought I could be useful later on? " I thought.

Impostor Tennille crouched down and extended his left hand towards the sheet of metal, with his other hand raising the rod of rebar high up, aiming to strike me when I'm exposed.

Then another voice, actually, rather a piece of text entered my mind, it was calming. When I remembered it, I knew, I had to keep fighting.

" I believe in you :) " was written on the note on my bed, under it was a long blue scarf, I turned around and saw mom.

" DIE, RAAAAYYYMOOND " Impostor Tennille tore the sheet of metal off of me, only to be met with one of my razor-sharp vines slicing his eye open!

I backflipped ( successfully ) onto my feet, both vines poised for battle.

Impostor Tennille stumbled back, clutching his left eye in agony.

" Look on the bright side jackass, just get an eyepatch and you'll REALLY look like a pirate~ " I quipped.

He turned to look at me and scowled, taking his hand off his left eye.

I looked at his mutilated left eye, " OUGH! I REALLY WISH I COULD FORGET THAT ", I discreetly gagged.

" You… YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS YOU SHITTY SALAD SNAKE! " Impostor Tennille lunged at me.

I gracefully dodged to the side and sliced his side with a vine.

He tanked the hit and swung his rebar rod towards me, I ducked and sliced his leg.

" AAGH! HYDRO PUMP! " he opened his mouth wide and shot out a highly pressurized stream of water at me, I wasn't fast enough to dodge it and was sent flying several metres backwards.

Blood spewed out of my mouth as I got hit, I landed on the ground with a thud. I quickly got up and wiped some of the crimson liquid off my face.

" I don't care If I die here… I'm gonna take this guy down or die trying! ".

Several scales whizzed past my head, " oh… forgot「Dark Blue Moon」was still here ".

I realised that I just so happened to have landed beside a window, I took a quick glance towards it and saw a cinnccino and a chespin , they both just so happened to be wearing guild scarves.

" Oh thank Arceus… ", I sighed, now I can get help!

I ducked under some flying scales, " I can't signal them with sound, the rain is too loud, I need to do something big, like blowing something up or leveling the entire building ".

I looked up at the ceiling, and then at Impostor Tennille and「Dark Blue Moon」. " Well, I don't have any better ideas… ".

I jumped up and extended a vine towards one of the ceiling lamps, I pulled myself up to the ceiling in plain view of Impostor Tennille and 「Dark Blue Moon」.

" YOU"RE RIGHT IN MY LINE OF SIGHT, HYDRO PUMP! " he opened his mouth, 「Dark Blue Moon」 lifted its arms up.

" just as planned " I braced for impact.

I greatly underestimated the power of both of their attacks at the same time, I haven't felt this much pain ever since that golbat ripped my guts out, but as planned, the ceiling collapsed and the scales that hasn't hit me or the roof were flying out the roof, making a sound about 10x louder than the rain.

I landed on the ground covered in blood, I'm pretty sure that some of my bones are broken from the sheer impact of that full power hydro-pump.

I tried to get up, but about a gallon of blood spewed out of the cuts in my body, leaving me kneeling on the ground.

Impostor Tennille walked over to me, gripping the rebar rod tightly, " you're thinking: ' this scumbag might have beat me, but JoJo would kick his ass ', am I right brother? ".

A grin spread over my face.

" HEY! " he kicked me in the face, I fell on my back, " WHAT'RE YOU SMILING AT!? ".

" Heh " I chuckled, " you're wrong ".

" What? ", he readied his rebar rod.

" What I'm actually thinking is:... ".

Tip Tip Tap…

" how long is it gonna take for those guild guys outside to get here~ ".

The two guild pokemon burst through the door of the factory.

" what the? " The cinccino noticed mine and ( unconscious ) Evie's guild badges on our scarves, " the feraligatr's a hostile! ".

The chespin dashed forward, " 「ECHOES」.! " A small, humanoid white and blue stand appeared beside him, " FREEZE ", the stand brought both of its palms together and aimed them at Impostor Tennille.

" Special move: Echoes Act 3 Freeze! ".

Wind was visibly traveling around the stand, it pulled its arm back and charged at Impostor Tennille, the wind flowing around it now traveling around both of its arms.

" Oh blime- " he was engulfed in a barrage of punches aimed straight at his head.

The feraligatr was blown back, he stopped in mid air, his head was suddenly slammed into the ground by an invisible force. The sheer power of the force made cracks in the floor.

The chespin recalled his stand.

…

Impostor Tennille didn't get up.

" Is he… " I stared at the feraligatr.

" Unconscious " the cinccino stated.

I rested my head on the ground, realising that I'm bleeding out, " you guys have an oran berry or something? " I mumbled.

" oh shit! Koichi get the bag! " The cinccino ordered the chespin now named Koichi.

Everything turned into a blur for a while, when I came to my senses I noticed that there were bandages all around me, and I could feel the sweet aftertaste of an oran berry.

Cinncino was standing over me, for some reason.

" Hey, you ok? " he asked me.

I nodded.

I looked over his shoulder and saw Koichi tending to Evie, she was laid out on the floor unconscious while the chespin wrapped some bandages on her.

" S-she didn't wake up yet? " I sat up.

" Your friend was hit pretty hard, brain damage, thankfully it's treatable. Your feraligatr friend on the other paw… " Koichi winced while looking at Impostor Tennille.

" He's in a coma, that's what happens when someone's knocked out too hard " the cinccino explained.

" Really? ", if that's the case, then Koichi must've caused some serious damage with his stand.
