"An ally?" Najenda repeated and watched Hendrik closely. "Exactly. No matter if we are in another world or whatever goes on, we will stay members of Dragonbreath forever. We would never dear to leave our team."
Everyone was stunned for a moment, and some of them looked as if they would take out their weapons. But then Najenda nodded. "I understand that. Then keep wearing your emblem if it´s that important for you. But from now on, you will follow our orders."
The four trainers nodded before Akame and Leone reached towards their Pokémon. "And in your world, you are living together with those things?" Leone asked when she stood in front of Abigail´s Monferno. "Of course. Where we come from, you can start as a Pokémon Trainer with ten years already. And the best of them can take part at the tournament of the best trainers to be the very best," Kira explained.
"And there isn't any risk they could attack us?" Akame wanted to know. "Hey, every Pokémon has got his or her own personality and understands everything what a human says. If you´re nice to them, they will be nice to you as well."
"Hey, Akame. This bird over here could be a great partner for you," Leone told and pointed towards Hendrik´s Corviknight which had hold back himself the whole time. But everyone could see it was hard for him not to show of himself in his full glory. "If he matches or not doesn´t matter. Corviknight is one of my Pokémon team members. And I am the only one to who he listens," Hendrik explained. "But that will have to change if you want to work here," Najenda said.
"Then just be good to them, and we won´t have any problems," Crowley replied and grinned. "Well, we will see how it works. But I think that´s enough for today. Go to sleep, and tomorrow we go on. Akame, please show them their room."
The black-haired girl nodded shortly before the meeting was officially ended. Only the brown-haired boy called Tatsumi stayed for a moment and watched how the trainers called back their Pokémon. "How... how can you do this with those capsules?" he stuttered. "It would take too much time to explain that. So, please don´t ask questions," Hendrik dodged him.
After that, Akame guided them through a long corridor to a single door at its end. "The next day will start with breakfast and first training. Be punctually," she said before the girl left the trainers. "Well, at least she doesn´t talk that much," Kira said sleepy as they spread over the four beds in the room. "What do you think? Can we even trust these guys?" Abigail suddenly asked when her Monferno was cuddling with her. "Even when not, they wouldn´t stand a chance against us when it would come to battle," Hendrik said revolved who had already covered himself with his blanket with Pikachu and Lycanroc on his feet.
"Well, in my opinion, they make a quite honest impression," Kira meant who had her Garchomp on her side. "If all that stuff about the corrupt government and the suffering folk is true, then we would have a good reason to help them."
"Well, tomorrow we will see what´s really going on here," Crowley said who had his Snover next to him. "Let´s take a sleep first, and on the next day, we show those guys what we´re made of."
The others agreed sleepy before they closed their eyes and passed away slowly.
They didn´t noticed Akame and Tatsumi who were listening on the other side of the door.
"What do you think?" Tatsumi whispered to her. "I have no idea. We just have to wait what happens next and if they´re even able to do this job," Akame replied monotonous. "Maybe they also talk about themselves a bit more."
"Yeah. Maybe."

At the next day, the veterans of Night Raid went to the kitchen with the normal expectation of seeing Akame making breakfast. But what they found was Hendrik who stood in the kitchen together with his Pokémon. "Where is Akame?" Leone asked and looked around. "I don´t know. I haven´t seen her yet, so I thought I could already get started."
As he said that, his Lycanroc jumped up on a closet and got some spices which Hendrik took with a short smile. "I hope you are hungry," he said while laying plates on the big table. At the same time, Kira, Crowley and Abigail entered the room as well, together with Hendrik´s Corviknight and Kira´s Salamence. "We just were on a little flight," Abigail explained as she saw the confused views. "We have taken a look at the area and watched how it looks like here."
"Did you do that without permission?" Leone asked malicious and raised her eyebrows. "You will be in trouble for that, or what do you think?"
"I don´t know. And it´s not important. I mean, we have to know where we exactly are," Kira said and looked back until Leone watched away. "Stop arguing, just take a seat," Hendrik admonished while Greninja and Sceptile spread plates and food on the table. But when the Night Raid members were sitting, they stopped for a moment. "What´s that?" Akame asked confused. On the table there were a plate of buns, a lot of sliced cold meat and other side dishes. "We´re always eating rice and pure meat for breakfast."
"Rice and meat for breakfast?" Abigail repeated confused. "We´re not doing it like this. We´re only eating rice or meat for lunch, but never already in the morning. And now enjoy the meal."
With hesitation, the members of Night Raid took something from the supplies on the table and started to eat. "Hey, where is Najenda?" Kira asked after a while when the trainers had given food to their Pokémon as well. "She´s always a bit late in the morning," Leone explained. "She will also come together with Bulat. Then you will get to know him." As she said that, the door was opened again, and Najenda entered the room, together with a muscled black-haired man. "You four over there. This is Bulat, another member of Night Raid. He will train with you later."
The trainers shortly nodded towards Bulat who responded with a grin almost as wide as Crowley´s as the two sat down as well. "When we all sit here rested, why don´t you tell us about you?" Najenda asked while they were eating. "And what exactly do you want to know?" Hendrik asked curious. "First of all, how you came to our world," Leone said and grinned. "I mean, people like you don´t just fall from the air."
"Well, that was so: we were just fighting Giovanni, the boss of Team Rainbow Rocket, in front of our base..." Hendrik started, but then was interrupted by Tatsumi: "The boss of who?"
"Of Team Rainbow Rocket," Kira repeated. "That´s a gang of criminals who are using Pokémon only for illegal businesses by capturing them."
"And because you are police officers, you are fighting them?" Bulat concluded. "Exactly. As we already said, we were fighting against Giovanni and his Mewtwo..."
"Wait a minute," Tatsumi said again, but stunned as he saw the angry view of Hendrik. "Is it that hard to let me speak out before asking questions?"
Tatsumi nodded. "Anyway, we were fighting against him and his troops. I had called Greninja to use one of our Z-Moves to create a black hole in the air. But Mewtwo pulled us into the move as well, and after an additional attack, both of the moves collapsed, and we passed out."
"And this guy named Giovanni is quite dangerous, is he?" Akame asked after Hendrik gave them a sign that they were finished. "Unfortunately, yes. They tried to conquer our base to use it as their new headquarter for their illegal businesses. And now we´re here without knowing where we are."
The Night Raid members were quiet for a moment. Then Najenda asked: "And what is so special about those Pokémon?"
"That´s easy: Pokémon are beings with special powers, and in our world, we are living together with them. Every one of them can learn four different moves and have a special ability and one or two different types. And people who travel alongside with Pokémon and battle other ones are called Pokémon trainers. People like us."
Kira, Crowley and Abigail nodded. The Night Raid members on the other side were just looking at them when they heard the information. "And they really obey you?"
"Sure. They accept us as trainers and friends. But I think it will be a bigger problem that they will obey one of you."
Bulat nodded and then watched the trainers one by one. "I have an idea. Why don´t you show us how you train and how a battle looks like? That would be interesting."
"I really don´t know what should be that interesting about these beginners," a sudden female voice said. Everyone turned towards the door to see a girl with long pink hair which were bound to two long pigtails. "They are just a group of people who can control monsters. Why do you make such a fuss about them?"
"That´s Mine," Akame explained when she saw the confusion of the trainers. "She´s dubbing her own uncertainty with arrogance."
"Hey, who do you call arrogant here?!" Mine jelled and punched Akame on her head. "If they are as cool as you said, then let one of their soft toys fight me and my imperial arm!"
"What arm?" Abigail asked confused. "There are 48 different imperial arms in this empire. Those special weapons were created on a special way centuries ago. Many of them are using materials from defeated monsters. They have incredible powers which could never be created again in our modern times."
"And with that, we are superior in each way!" Mine shouted and pointed on Hendrik. "You, the long guy with the striped hair over there! I want to fight one of your monsters with my arm Pumpkin! Let´s see if you will be so arrogant after that!"
Hendrik only raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Alright. But you should eat first. Starting a battle makes much more sense after a meal."
For a moment, Mine just stood in the door and looked at Hendrik with an almost hateful view. But then Akame stood up and brought her to one of the free chairs which caused her to eat as well.
While they ate, the Night Raid members asked a lot of additional questions to the trainers. At the end, Akame stood up from her place and went towards Lycanroc. The Stone-Type Pokémon was nibbling on a bone and didn´t really watched the area around him. Akame slowly stretched out her hand and touched his head. Lycanroc stopped, but then closed his eyes and enjoyed being stroked.
"It seems that he likes you," Hendrik noticed while he made the dishes. "There has to be something on you that Lycanroc has already seen."
"But maybe it´s just the mass of meat she has eaten," Crowley guessed and grinned. Akame gave no answer on that joke and left the kitchen. "Come on guys, we should go to the training area now. They are already waiting for us."
The trainers followed the black-haired girl to an area which was separated by a palisade made of bamboo.
Every member of Night Raid was sitting on banks while Mine waited on one end of the battlefield. She had a heavy riffle in her hand and narrowed her eyes when she spotted Dragonbreath.
"Oh man, it took you a long time!" Mine complained and tipped on her weapon. "Boy, she is almost as strict as our Commander," Kira whispered towards the others. "Oh no. The commander is much stricter," Abigail said as all of them except Hendrik took a seat next to Night Raid.
"Do you think his monsters can stand a chance against Mine?" Bulat asked the trainers. "Are you kidding us? You are talking about officer Hendrik Jigoku. At the end, he has won every single battle," Kira said admiring.
The named officer was standing across from Mine and took out a Pokéball. "I don´t think it really matters which one of my team members should be your opponent?"
"Stop babbling! I´m bored!" Mine forced.
"Alright, then you soon will see what you just got involved with," Hendrik said and threw the Pokéball.
