El is on some serious

With Hopper tracking down a sick psycho mauling and killing animals for the last year, he's never around, so El turns to smoking weed to get attention from him. AU where El has no powers, and so the Upside Down is never discovered. I will explain why El is still with Hopper, and not her mom, later in the story, so chill the heck out.

24. Hopper hurls in a huge heap

CH. 24 EIOSS

Max opened the door and was greeted by the smell of blood and the sight of a replica of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Except it wasn't a replica. She gagged as the stench hit. She backed out of the house and threw up all over the lawn. She went to Lucas's house and asked to use his phone. Lucas let her in, and she ran to the phone to call Hopper.

10 mins later,

Hopper pulled up to the Mayfield house and hopped out. He then pulled out a shotgun and entered the house, bracing himself for the worst. It was even worse than he thought it could be. Even on the NYC homicide squad, he had never seen anything like it. Blood was splattered everywhere, the floors, the ceiling, the floor, even the walls and furniture. It was terrifying, but even worse was the smell.

Then Hopper noticed the guts hanging like party streamers and smelled the stench of those. He ran outside and started hurling out the contents of his breakfast.

When he reentered the house, he noticed a message in black painted letters, "Happy Birthday, Billy- Master," the message read, and it made Hopper's blood run cold.

He reached for his radio and screamed for someone to bring in Billy for questioning.

He worked at the scene for about 2 hours before he remembered El and her claims that someone had kidnapped Mike. "Oh shit!" He exclaimed. He quickly finished cataloging the evidence and drove like a maniac to the Wheeler house.
