"You don´t have to be afraid. Charizard won´t harm you, I promise," Kira said gently while she tried to keep the violet-haired girl calm who was still trembling. "You must be Sheele, am I right?"
The girl suddenly listened up and looked back to Kira for a moment. "Are you the new guys?" she finally asked while Kira helped her getting up. At all the time, she focused her view on Charizard. "Please excuse my reaction," she said shy while lifting up her glasses. "But Leone didn´t tell me what would be waiting for me."
"That sounds totally like her," Hendrik meant. "I know. But why do you have monsters on your side?" Sheele asked curious but still shy. "These are two of our Pokémon. Where we come from, we live alongside with them. And since we´ve got the necessary power and knowledge, it seems like we will go on our first mission soon."
"Well, I´ve already heard that we have new members, but no one said something about those "Pokémon". I´m really sorry, Mr. Charizard," Sheele said and bowed in front of the fire type-Pokémon. Charizard just snorted shortly before heading back for the hideout. "Don´t take that serious," Hendrik said without looking into her eyes. "Charizard is just like the typical hard guy, but he has got a friendly core. And be sure, he appreciates your honesty."
Sheele nodded shy before following the trainers back to the headquarters. "You really caught a few big ones," she said after a while, but it sounded more as if she wanted to start a conversation by force. "Hey, I can understand if you are scared of us," Kira said. "Oh no, no, that's really not what I mean," protested quickly and waved her arms around. "But I must admit, I´ve never seen such a tall girl before."
"Yeah, that´s not new to me," Kira said and took Sheele´s arms down gently. "Just try to calm down a bit. At the end, we´re all standing on the same side of the field." Sheele was silent for a moment, then she nodded and went ahead slowly.
"Wow. It looks like you´ve been quite successful," Najenda said amazed when they entered the kitchen and loaded out their prey. "This will be a fest today." After she watched them for a moment, the boss left the room. But a few minutes later, Leone joined them. "Wow, you really are good maids!" she said mocking while grabbing several fishes and smelling on them. "Be careful, blondie! If you think that you can speak with us how you want, then you´re making a big mistake!" Hendrik warned and raised his fist. "Oh, the guy with the striped hair is looming me? But that´s not what a good comrade does!" Leone scoffed. "Listen up: I´ve given my colleagues a fist more than one time when it was necessary, so don´t you dare to think..."
He couldn´t go on anymore. In this moment Crowley suddenly dropped several knives and forks to the ground which caused his Snover to flinch back. After that, Crowley stumbled over a little puddle of water and fell on the ground.
Abigail ran to him immediately and helped her friend to get back up on his feet while Hendrik and Leone remoted from each other as if their discussion had come to an end. "You shouldn´t get into trouble with Hendrik," Kira warned when Crowley was back up again. Leone just snorted and left the kitchen which allowed the trainers to continue working on the lunch. "You should not let yourself get provoked by her, Hendrik," Kira said when they were alone again. "This would be just what she wants. Don´t do her this favour."
Hendrik just pursed his lips. "I know that, Bikergirl. But that doesn't mean that they can talk to us as they want." Abigail shortly nodded while they finished their preparations for lunch and brought it on the table. While they did that, the members of night raid joined them and took seat on the chairs.
"You´ve really caught very good fishes," Akame said firmly who had emptied her plate during less than five minutes. "We haven´t really focussed on the size, we just caught what landed in our hands," Kira said shortly while she held Hendrik´s hand since he looked at Leone with an angry look.
"Boss, you were talking about our first mission," Kira started after a while. "Which person are we talking about?"
"I´m glad you´re asking," Najenda said happy. "The first one who´s going to be killed by you is an instructor in the royal army. We will take revenge for a woman who lost her husband because of this instructor. You are going to get into the city alongside with Akame and kill him without getting too much attention."
"Yes," Akame said shortly while she did the dishes. "She will explain you everything you need to know. Good luck, Pokémon trainers."
It seemed like the meeting was over because Najenda stood up and left the room without another word. The other members of night raid left soon as well until the trainers were alone with Akame.
"It will not be easy to kill the instructor," she said after a while as they started to plan how they could make it. "We have to go over the rooftops at night since there is already a public wanted poster of me in the city. So, I can´t just show myself between all the people."
"Don´t worry, we will make it. Silent observations are our easiest exercise," Abigail meant and smiled. "It won´t exactly be like this. One group of us will be going to the barracks to lure the instructor out where we can kill him."
"Let Kira and me take care about that," Hendrik suggested and put his girlfriend´s hand. "We will act like we´re two teenagers who want to join the army. He will listen to us, I´m sure."
"I hope that will be right," Abigail sighed and crossed her arms. "Ah, it will be fine. I mean, we are from Dragonbreath, you know," Crowley said and grinned while holding his Snover in his arms.
Akame didn´t react but left the room as well to make last preparations for their very first mission.
"What a pictorial city," Abigail went into raptures as the four trainers crept over the rooftops together with Akame while they were protected by the darkness. They had to make sure not being spotted by someone. "But it is also a city full of corruption and suffering," Akame shortly said as she grabbed her sword. "Is your sword a royal arm too?" Kira asked with an interested look at the black-haired girl. "Yes. When someone gets hit by the blade, his body gets infected with a special poison which causes a cardiac arrest during a few seconds. And because of that, I always have to be careful when I use it. To avert slashing myself with it."
Hendrik and Kira looked towards each other and swallowed. Then Akame stopped on a roof and looked down carefully.
"We´re now over the barracks," Akame explained. Hendrik and Kira took a look as well and encountered a huge line of people who seemed to want to join the army as well. "Well, good luck then."
Hendrik nodded shortly before they jumped down from the other side of the roof to take place at the end of the line which forced them to wait a long time.
But bit by bit, all of the people were let inside the house as well as Kira and Hendrik who now stood in the big main room where they were already seemed to be expected by a tall man with wide upper arms. The man went through the line of candidates before stopping in front of Kira.
"You, young woman. What´s your name?" he asked with one raised eyebrow and a loud, deep voice. Kira pulled herself together and said: "Kira Heart, Sir."
"You´re almost a giantess, Kira," the instructor said with unwilling recognition and watched her arms closely. "You look like you´ve got talent. And your companion over there seems so too." He headed towards Hendrik who didn´t change a face but was extremely mad at him for talking to his girlfriend so respectless. "Just wait, you´re going to get your reward sooner than you think," he thought as the instructor stood in front of him and watched the black-haired trainer as well.
"I think you could be useful. Follow me!" the instructor demanded and pulled both of them alongside with him out of the house, but he headed through the backdoor. Then he closed the door with a load noise and watched Kira and Hendrik with crossed arms.
"Answer me just one question, you two. Are you ready to fight with your full heart for what is right?"
"Of course," Hendrik said deep down in his throat. "And what do you think is right?"
Shortly after he said that, the instructor groaned in pain, and his eyes widened in shock. The enormous claw of Garchomp sticked out of his stomach which has been called out by Kira in a flash. He had used his chance to kill the instructor with his fin-like claw.
Without another sound, the man fell down on the ground and didn´t move anymore. Only a few seconds later, Crowley, Abigail and Akame jumped down from the roof and joined them. "That was really a good job," Akame admitted while she watched the corpse. "I can see that you´ve got experience."
"Well, we don´t have experience with killing people, but basically you´re right," Crowley said and grinned. "So, what do we do now we have killed him?"
"We will take him out of the city and inside of the forest to bury him so he cannot be found..." Akame suddenly stopped as they heard steps from inside the building. "We don´t have time. Come on, let´s get out of here," Akame ordered and jumped back on the roof, followed by the surprised trainers.
With a loud squeak, the wooden door was opened which caused a light cone to shine out on the street. "Dammit! They were faster!" a middle-old man cursed who had a grey uniform and a beret on his head. He leaned over the instructor´s lifeless body and watched the wound carefully.
"This cannot be coming from a common weapon," he noticed. As he watched the place he was standing at, something suddenly blinked up from the ground. He ran towards the blinking immediately and lifted up the small object. It was a mark which showed the head of a Mega Charizard X and the lettering "POLICE".
"So, these guys are really here," the grunt from team Rainbow Rocket hissed while he packed the mark in his bag. "I must report that to Giovanni. He will sure be very interested."
