Hi, This is my first attempt at writing something and this idea has been going through my head for days now.

The Cover art belongs to Lukeuehara.

My hero academia and Naruto belong to their respective authors.

I own this bad piece of writing.

This is more of a prolouge/introduction than an actual chapter.

If you are wondering who is getting the boot from U.A. in this fic, it is everyones favorite tailboy Ojiro from 1-A, if you are wondering why mostly because its convenient for the plans I have, he always pops up exactly where I wanted Itachi to be instead. Sorry.

Protecting from the shadows, Kamaitachi

[Itachi POV]

"You don't have to forgive me…"I said as I looked upon my brother, the one I had wronged in my attempt to protect him. Locking foreheads, like equals.
"No matter what you decide to do from now on… I will always love you." My false body collapsed leaving my spirit to leave for yomi.
"Thank you Sasuke, being able to live as your brother made me happy."
And everything went black.

When I woke up, I knew that something was wrong. The last time I 'died' left me in a weird timeless state, I had no memories of anything in between my real death and the end of Edo-Tensei.
Now I was in a crib, tightly wrapped and comfy as well as unable to speak or move. I had been reincarnated.

"Itachi, can you come over here?" a woman's voice called out. My feet moved quickly over the tatami mats towards the kitchen.
"Yes, mother. Do you need help?" I asked the pregnant woman standing in the kitchen counter, I had come home from Kindergarten an hour ago and my mother, Koharu Uchiha formerly Mishima, was preparing dinner.
"Can you get me the rice? Don't force yourself though to lift it though."
"Don't worry mother, I am already four, just let me help." My Body was rather well-developed for a four-year old, but then again I didn't really play with other children If I could help it, I never really did so in my last life anyway but the mental age gap I had over them just made it difficult. I usually just trained and studied, mostly history.

The sack weighed five kilograms, with chakra enhanced strength I could have used this weight to shatter someone's skull. Though people in this world did not fight with chakra, there were no shinobi. Instead, they fought with Quirks and Weapons, like a kekkei genkai a quirk was genetic, but much more volatile and diverse, certain aspects of quirks could just appear or disappear from one generation to another, very rarely mutations could lead to a completely different quirk appearing, the example given in the book I had read listed a lizard-mutation quirk appearing from a telekinetic father and a mother with enhanced hair growth.

"Here mother" I said as I lifted the sack towards the counter.
"Strong and helpful as always, my little hero." She said with a smile while ruffling my hair.

Yes, the inhuman warriors, or rather protectors, in this world were called heroes. While a bit ridiculous, it truly makes sense when one takes a look at history and the anarchy that came about over two centuries ago. Powers that only existed in comics prior suddenly appeared in a young generation that was ostracized by the 'quirkless' or normal people at the time and when they had enough people began to lash out. The governments managed to control the situation over time and managed to Legalize the actions of vigilantes, turning the ones that rose against violence and war into professional heroes.

Society is essentially based on hero-worship as it is heavily encouraged by the media, toys and such based on the no. 1 Hero all might being the best example. An unshakable figure nobody can defeat with a catchphrase that promises safety no matter how dire the situation.

While it has its flaws, this system has essentially limited crime, especially in japan as it is one of the safest countries on the globe since all mights appearance.

"Just call me if you need help with anything else mother." I said before I went back towards my room, to further study.

A true shinobi, a nameless individual that maintain peace from the shadows. Isn't that right, Shisui?

"Taaaa" the Infant cried out.
"I-TA-CHI, can you say that?" This was my brother, Kagami Uchiha, a normal baby. I was obviously considered a rare genius, this time however because of my adult mind of course. A part of me had wanted the chance to be Sasukes brother again, but the fact that it would mean his death curbed that desire. I was still going to do my best as Kagami's older brother.

I had already checked with my 'quirk' whether or not this was Sasuke, Shisui or possibly anybody else that had reincarnated. The reason for my suspicion was that very same quirk after all.

My father, Ohta Uchiha, is a doctor and part of a rather wealthy traditional family, we live in a traditional Japanese mansion encircled by walls in the outskirts of Tokyo.
As the first son, he had inherited the family business and owned the Hosu General Hospital, of which he was also the chairman.
My fathers quirk is named 'Auditory Illusion Eye', It allows him to partially take control of someone's cerebral nervous system through eye contact and mess with their hearing and sense of balance. Part of it is a limited form of telepathy that allows one to hear what someone else is hearing while looking them in the eyes. Overuse irritates the eyes and can even lead to temporary eye damage, the longest recovery time was three days of not using the eyes at all.
A humorous gentle man with a professional cold facade.

"Perfect for scaring people, school yard brawls and helping people with Auditory Processing Disorders." Is his usual catchphrase when asked about his quirk. Using it to make people believe a train is approaching from behind used to be a hobby of his. He can also permanently 'install' changes or rather, fix issues.

My mother, Koharu Uchiha (Mishima) met him in high school, and they quickly got along, both having ocular quirks. Her Quirk is named Sharingan [written Wheel-Eye not Copy-Wheel-Eye] and lets her changer her eye color from black to red with the usual black tomoe. Named after the fact that it was considered Useless besides making her Iris spin before finding out that it also grants her an incredible level of perception that she did not realize was not normal until she had reached her teens. Basically the 'Eye of Insight' much like a normal sharingan, observing even the slightest movements is easy.
An observant and quiet women one should not anger.

My Quirk, the Quirk of Itachi Uchiha is a combination simply named Sharingan: Illusion. Inheriting my mothers quirk fully in design and all functions with the addition of manipulating peoples cerebral nervous system upon eye contact. Hearing, Taste, Vision, Smell, Touch and more, Installing slight suggestions is also possible but usually irritates an eyeball to the point of not using it for several hours to repair the 'damage'.
The fact that I am named Itachi Uchiha, the first son of the 'leader' of a wealthy 'clan' and my ability is the 'sharingan' led me to believe that this was some kind of Genjutsu much like my Tsukuyomi, one that can even influence the perception of time, or some cosmic joke.

But no, even after I used my Quirk on my brother he did not 'think' in normal speech like an adult trapped in an infants body should be able to. That did not make him any less cute however.

"Come on, repeat after me. I-TA-CHI."
"TAAAA!" my brother cried out.
"Don't worry were getting there, lets make sure that your first words will be Itachi or Nii-san." I told my younger brother with a smile.
"...Itachi" Threatened the Devilish Woman that had somehow managed to approach me silently.
"... Yes Mother?" I carefully tried to soothe her with a gentle tone.
"How about you make dinner while your mother takes care of her youngest child?"
"Mother, I am only six years old I shouldn't play with kni…" "NOPE, we both know that's bull crap, you are smart and responsible enough to take care of yourself and frankly, your knife-handling is better than mine. Now, give me my second son and let me make sure his first word is mummy." Curse that woman and her facts.
"Swearing in front of children? Not a good example mother."
I would quickly come to regret speaking that sentence, the following ten minutes could only be described as tickle hell.

Kagamis first word was indeed Itachi.

School was, well easy. At least if you got in.
Apparently most school registrations required one to write down their child's quirk along with a description, a rational decision. If someone with a gigantification quirk loses control of it indoors they might accidentally kill others by destroying the school building after all.
The fact that I had a quirk under the mind-control/manipulation category however caused many schools to reject my applications.
My current school, a full-course from elementary to high-school, originally wanted me to either participate from home or attend class via camera from a specific room inside the school building.
While this would not have been a problem for me, my parents managed to force the school to only have me alone and under camera observation during grading of any kind, my Physical education teacher had received some sort of headgear normally used for VR experiences via one's smartphone to watch me without me somehow cheating.
The Room reserved for my other tests gained infamy across the whole student body. I found myself quickly dubbed as "future villain" and people who knew who I was refused to look me into the eyes, including many teachers. The fact that I performed near perfectly in school and me agreeing that someone with a quirk like mine could be a potential threat and had the ability to cheat during exams only worsened many teachers dislike for me.
They probably thought I had them already under an illusion, that I was in fact not in front of them but used my quirk to annoy them or cause them headaches.

My Math teacher for most of middle school, Onizuka-sensei thought differently.
With a quirk that gave him a menacing or rather villainous appearance, Tall and muscular with Horns, Tusks, pointy ears and red skin he truly looked like a demon. The name didn't help. The fact that he could shatter concrete with his bare hands didn't help either.

I was already nearing the end of my third year in middle school, I still looked like I did in my last life. Long black hair that falls to my shoulder blades, usually worn in a ponytail and side bangs that reach my chin. Black eyes and thin but muscular stature, the stress lines from my last life however were gone. I had come to care for my new family, having lived nearly as long with them as with the 'original' Uchiha-Clan.

"Uchiha-kun, can you please come to my office after school?" Onizuka-sensei mentioned at the end of math class in a casual tone. It wasn't unusual for me to be called to the shared staff room or to a teachers office, mostly for some sort of oral test to confirm that I didn't somehow cheat using my quirk.

Once I entered his office and sat down across the 3-meter tall mans oversized desk and chair he began talking.
"This is because of your application to U.A.'s hero-course, Our school would normally be able to recommend certain students for their academics alone and let you participate in a different exam, but that requires several teachers to agree with that decision, as you can probably guess the only one who agrees is me so that won't work."

I could only nod towards my teacher.
I wanted to be a hero to properly fulfill my ideal, The idea of the 'True Shinobi' the 'protector from the shadows' or the best alternative, an underground hero.

There were already enough 'suns' during the day, the biggest of them is of course all might. But crime spikes a bit during the night, fewer heroes work during those hours, probably either because there are barely any people out to see them work or because of the undesirable work hours.
Regardless, my idea was to be the unseen menace, the one villains will only ever catch a glimpse of before my Illusion Quirk lets me arrest them with minimal difficulty.

"The problem is that I know that your quirk wont be able to help you much during the exams, since your opponents will be…"

"Robots, I have already researched the exact contents across several forums, mostly from people ranting about not getting in, I believe there is more to the exam however, some people reported seeing people that had complained about having fewer Points during their exam in the hero-course during the Sport-Festival."

The giant of a teacher smiled.
"Yes, I should have known that you would research it. I can only add that you can call and request special items to use if you have a valid reason, which is only mentioned in the official exam rules. A 437-page long pdf document, 40 pages of which are weird cases that have probably already happened and are now mostly banned. I'd recommend reading those, quite funny.
You mentioned that you are rather good at martial arts, maybe you will be allowed a weapon."

"... Thank you sensei." I bowed slightly and smiled at my teachers worry. "I will make sure to call the School."

"Good luck Uchiha-kun" Onizuka-sensei replied.
