OC: Misty Hiwatari. She's my fav OC, don't you dare plagiarize her. XD
Kai's wife.~
26 years old Kai Hiwatari slowly got up from his bed, his eyes still heavy from the tiredness. He looked beside him, his wife not there. Might be she's in the kitchen already. He nonetheless begrudgingly got up, headed to bathroom to take some warm shower hoping that it would relieve his muscles. He had a big day ahead as usual and handling his company and being the CEO was proving very cumbersome and tedious since a year now. He couldn't spend time anywhere else apart from his work. As soon as he returned home, he would eat his dinner, take a bath and have sometime a talk with his wife and then off to sleep. Weekends were different. He would complete his other works, spend some time with his wife and go out at some restaurant or beach if that was possible.
Misty Hiwatari, 25 years old lady, or knows as Kai Hiwatari's wife got married at an age of 24 and now it would be their one year anniversary soon. She had black straight hair, ocean deep eyes, height slightly taller than her husband, porcelain like skin with honeyed sharp features much alike her sweet and charming personality. Overall she looked pretty friendly to talk with on your first meet who wouldn't hesitate to invite you at coffee on some fine summer day.
Since they got married, she never complained him of anything. Their marriage was simple. Kai's father had selected the girl for him and even though Kai had no plans for marriage, all the bladebreakers were hyped up when Kai announced about his dad's decision. They saw Misty the next day and they all got friends before Kai even properly saw her. Tyson, Max, Ray took her out and showed the town. Soon his friends made him realize that he won't find such a sweet, easy and intelligent bride for him next time and she shouldn't miss the opportunity and get married. Kai was not convinced, but as the time went, things went on, preparations bloomed and Kai Hiwatari finally got married.
Within a week, he realized how lucky he was and what joys he was missing in his life before marriage or before Misty came in his life. Life seemed at ease, beautiful and lovely. Misty was the best thing that had happened to him for the first time, the perfect life partner that he needed. Both of them got quickly mingled and compatible and Kai wasted no time for going to his honeymoon immediately the next month of their marriage, much to Misty's surprise.
"Good morning," Misty wished him warmly with a smile setting the plates on the dining table along with glasses.
"Good morning, Misty," Kai said drying his hair with the towel, and taking his chair. She handed him his coffee.
With no more exchange of words, they duo ate the breakfast quietly with no words exchanged. Misty was used to his behavior since past few months now. She tried to understand that he was busy, preoccupied with work, but she wished if things could have been easy upon them, if he would talk a few words with her. She tried to quell her silent anxiety.
"Did you checked the news last night?" He asked. Misty shook her head, coming back to reality from her thoughts,
"No, I was busy actually. Is there something?" She asked sipping her coffee.
"A cyclone hit Kyoto last week. They were saying that the storm might affect our city..."Kai got up as he said, drinking final sips of water. Misty got up as well, bringing his black coat and helping him to wear it, "So I guess I might be free next week. The company will be off," He said. Misty's face beamed with thunderous smiles.
"Wow, really Kai?" She asked him, handing his briefcase to him,
"Have to wait for tonight's announcement," Kai said, "The State orders aren't officially announced yet." he said, making his way towards the main gate of their mansion. Misty followed him,
"I really hope that you get a break Kai," she said hopefully with joy.
"I guess," Kai turned to her and gave a smile, "See you tonight," he placed a light peck on her forehead, caressing her cheek gently with a calm smile before leaving. Misty smiled at him back.
She waved at him as he receded off in his car. She stood at the gate for few minutes, staring at the rose bed in their lawn.
I hope Kai won't forget before the weekend that its our first anniversary. Please Kai, just don't forget it. She silently prayed and walked inside, closing the gate and continuing her daily chores.
Even though she wanted to join his company and work alongside him because she herself was a good engineering student, Kai forbade her. There were so men in his company quarters and he didn't want them to have an eye on his beautiful wife. He was possessive of her. He was particular about the places she was going, people she met and clothes she wore. Kai wouldn't mind anything she wore inside their bedroom, but the mansion was the limit. And Misty knew how mad he got if she denied any of his simple orders, so for the sake of peace between them, she just agreed to his terms.
So, basically she had no choice but to try to spend time at home doing anything or visiting her mom in case she gets super bored. As for now, she ordered the maids to do the cleaning of the mansion while she went to prepare herself a delicious lunch to treat with. Maybe I should join some college as a teacher, in that way the interaction with men also will be less. Plus its a decent and pious job.
She thought and planned to ask him soon.
Kai opened his laptop and wore his glasses and quickly send the orders to his staff about the work they have to finish off before the state orders would be announced.
"Hey Kai," Max opened the door of his cabin,
"Hn, get in." Kai said without taking off his eyes from the screen.
"She's here again. Looks like she wants to meet you," Max said. Kai frowned cluelessly and shrugged, "May I ask who?"
"Hilary," Max sighed. Kai closed his eyes for a moment.
"We will see that later. I'm having work for now. Don't talk to her," Kai instructed. Max nodded and left
"Oh Max," Kai suddenly called, "Can you order a cake for Saturday to my home?" Kai asked,
Max laughed, "Why don't you do that though?" Max asked,
"Its our Anniversary. I'm not sure what type of cake Misty would like actually. Just do it," Kai said slightly embarrassed,
"God Kai, I and Misty were just friends. You are her husband. You should have known better," Max said amusingly. Kai glared at him,
"Well I know her well, but I am not a cake's person. I will select the ring for her myself," Kai assured Max.
"Hehe...sure." Max left,
Kai opened his drawer and looked at the set of catalogs of diamond rings he had brought a week back but he could't understand which one will suit on her finger or which one she would like. This is harder than assorting Company's files itself.
He had to select one soon and order it or go on to the shop and buy it himself.
"Wow, someone seems too busy like the work of whole world is unleashed upon him," A voice startled him. Hilary Tachibana, with dark brown hair tied in a high pony walked in causally and gave a smile to CEO.
Kai wanted to chide her for not knocking on his door. But he ignored and quickly kept the catalogs inside the desk. Hilary was on the brink of noticing it.
"Work is work. How's your work going on?" He asked, keeping an equal eye contact apart from typing on his keypad.
"Going good. I checked all the files you've send," She gave him a big smile. Kai smiled back slightly and nodded.
"Hn,"
"Is there anything else I could help you up with?" She asked gently.
"Hm... No. You can help your colleagues I guess," Kai turned the offer because he knew that she wanted to stay with him in cabin, accompany him and help him. But he didn't want her company.
Hilary's smile faded, "Oh okay," she said and kept quiet, staring at her lap or floor simply avoiding some kind of feelings coming up.
Kai didn't say a word further, and neither asked her to leave. He just completely ignored her and tried to focus on his work.
"Are you free at the weekend?" she asked suddenly but softly. He raised his eyes at her,
"Maybe...maybe we could go to just hang out?" she asked calmly but a soft blush took her over.
Kai looked back at his screen. Now how will I say her that I am already married?
"Ah...well," Kai said, "Nope, I'm busy. I've few appointments actually," he lied. You got a crush on a wrong person, Hilary. I thought it was just your late teenage infatuation but this sounds more now. But I can't help it now. Max should have told you when you returned that I got married...
"Oh," Hilary mumbled disappointingly, He still don't realize that I like him since so many years. He's so oblivious. Why Kai...
"At evening I mean, just for an hour or so..." she shrugged trying to hide the hurt and disappointment.
"No, sorry Hilary. My schedule is completely packed." he apologized kindly. I can't cheat my wife just because I was wrong once upon a time in ignoring your feelings
